[[http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=12983510570A63380100 Our avatars are in a room together]] is a [[PlayByPostGame Forum Game]] on the Administrivia/TVTropesForum which was started by @/Fuzy2K on the 22[[superscript:nd]] of February, 2011 and had reached 16,300+ posts by mid-December of the same year, and nearly thrice that by the one year mark. The game is much like the We Are Our Avatars RP, but takes place in the same room where all the avatars are in.

In the game, all avatars are together in a room where they interact together. It originally started out a fun, lighthearted thread, but got darker and more like a Forum RP. As a result, the game was split into two different threads, the less structured version called the FG as it was once located in the Forum Games section., and [[Roleplay/OurAvatarsWereInARoomTogetherTheContinuation the plot-y version]] called the RP as it was created in the Roleplaying Section. The continuity here is looser than in the Forum RP. It can be found [[http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13236601070A71890800&page=1 here.]] Please read [[http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=12983510570A63380100&page=1#1 the rules]] before joining.

The character sheet shows more character-specific details, but is not current and merely reflects the state of the thread circa 2013.

%%Someone bug me about the character sheet tomorrow, that thing's even worse of a mess.

! '''This Forum Game provides examples of:'''

* AnotherDimension: The main setting of the game.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: For several characters. Between the thread's original founding and its current incarnation, the writing style of everyone present has developed drastically, leading to significantly different interpretations
* DealWithTheDevil: With various gods and demons showing up, this happens quite often. [[ShapedLikeItself It has yet to]] ''[[ShapedLikeItself not]]'' [[ShapedLikeItself backfire horribly.]]
* EveryScarHasAStory: Used to be a popular conversation starter for someone to talk about how they received a certain scar.
* InnBetweenTheWorlds: What the room can best be described as.
* LongRunner: More than 7,000 pages and 175,000 posts as of October 16[[superscript:th]], 2012, and at the current posting rate, it doesn't look like it'll be stopping anytime soon, either. As of June 4[[superscript:th]], 2017, it consists of over 49,000 pages and 1,244,674 posts.
* OddFriendship: Just about any friendship that develops between those in the room would count as one of these.
* YouWakeUpInARoom: The basic plot.
