To start with, the main character reveals she was in a school production of it as a child and takes her son to see a production of it, which sets off a short chain of events that result in his death. When she goes back to Madrid, she befriends some of the cast from the play that she saw beforehand and ends up filling in for a cast member at one point.
3	* In the Creator/WoodyAllen movie ''Film/{{Sleeper}}'', Miles (Allen), a former health food store owner who wakes up 200 years in the future, has been brainwashed by the government, and is later rescued by Luna (Creator/DianeKeaton), the woman he first came in contact with in the future. At one point, Miles is so delirious, he starts imitating Blanche [=DuBois=], and Luna's partner suggests she just go with it, so she starts imitating Stanley Kowalski, which eventually leads Miles to snap out of it.
4	* In ''Film/QuickChange'', Grimm, Phyllis and Loomis have [[ThePerfectCrime successfully robbed a bank]], but are having trouble getting to the airport to escape from the police. At one point, they have to walk to the airport, and they come across a woman crying out, "Floras para los muertos!" Loomis, who's already freaked out by everything that's been happening, wonders what she means, and when Grimm claims, "[[BlatantLies I sure couldn't tell you]]," Phyllis ([[LampshadeHanging who had already commented on the]] [[RuleOfSymbolism symbolism]]), replies, "Oh, you know, Grimm, it means 'flowers for the dead'." At this point, Loomis freaks out even more, and Grimm gives Phyllis a DeathGlare.
5	* ''Film/HollywoodHomicide'': K.C., one of the two main characters, is a homicide detective who moonlights as a yoga instructor, but what he really wants to do is act. To that end, he puts on a community theater production of ''Streetcar'', and the joke of the movie is how full of StylisticSuck it is.
6	* In ''Film/PoorThings'' Duncan cries Bella's name in a LargeHam way while she looks down at him from a balcony.

9	* ''Series/TheBigBangTheory'': Penny attends acting classes, and she performs as Blanche in their school production. This episode proves that she has some genuine talent as an actress and that she is not absolutely hopeless.
10	* ''Series/{{Farscape}}j''. In a Season One episode, Furlow says to Crichton, "Must be hard for someone as invulnerable as you to have to rely on the kindness of strangers." This started a few EpilepticTrees as she's an alien who's never been to Earth but is interested in the same wormhole technology that Crichton is. It was never followed up however so presumably was just a coincidence.
11	* ''Series/SabrinaTheTeenageWitch'''s Season 4 episode "She's Baaack" has Sabrina trying to discourage Amanda's crush on Harvey. So she turns him into a Stanley {{Expy}}.

16	* ''Series/DueSouth'': Ray Kowalski's full name is Stanley Raymond Kowalski, and he notes his father, who named him, was a big Marlon Brando fan. Ray personally finds it an EmbarrassingFirstName. His ex-wife's name is Stella, as well (who doesn't seem bothered by the name at all, even keeping the last name Kowalski after the divorce).
