3	After the destruction of the Nightsisters clan, Asajj Ventress travels around the Galaxy, until she eventually arrives on Tatooine. After killing a BountyHunter, she agrees to fill in his place in the group he belonged to, in order to finish a job.

8	* AstonishinglyAppropriateAppearance: "Kage" means "shadow" in Japanese. The Kage warriors have dark skin and they're {{ninja}}-like warriors.
9	* BigCreepyCrawlies: The [[http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Milodon milodons]] used as mounts by the Kages resemble centipedes the length of city buses.
10	* BeneathTheEarth: Due to Quarzite's highly pressurized atmosphere, it's uninhabitable on the surface, so the Belugans and Kages dwell in a vast cavern system lit by luminescent crystals.
11	* BondOneLiner: In response to Oked snapping, "I'm talking to you, lady!", Ventress skewers him with one of her lightsabers and quips "I'm not much of a talker".
12	* BreatherEpisode: While action-packed, with some genuinely dark themes touched upon, this episode is ''much'' LighterAndSofter than either the previous one, or the following two.

Once Ventress learns that the "cargo" they were protecting was not only a living person but one being delivered for a forced marriage, it seems as if she is still a heartless villain who is OnlyInItForTheMoney, since she insists she will bring the chest containing the bride to Otua Blank herself. But when the chest is opened (after she's departed with the payment), it instead holds the BoundAndGagged (and very angry) Boba Fett. Blank has the expected reaction.
14	* BullyingADragon: Boba tries to put Ventress in her place when she demands a 50/50 split after they're the last two bounty hunters standing. Ventress replies with a Force-choke and follows up by stuffing him in a crate.
15	* BureaucraticallyArrangedMarriage: Pluma Sodi was kidnapped from her family and people in order to be wed to Otua Blank, the dictator of the Belugans.
16	* TheCameo: Embo is seen leaving a meeting with Boba Fett as Bossk and Latts arrive with Ventress.
17	* CharacterDevelopment: Ventress goes through quite a big one, which caused her to decide to let the Sodi siblings go.

27	* JoinOrDie: A variation: Bossk and Latts Razzi basically tell Ventress if she doesn't take Oked's place on the job, they'll hand her over to the authorities for killing him. Needing the money, Ventress doesn't have any problem going along with it.
28	* NobleDemon: Ventress starts showing some real principles in this episode, choosing to save Pluma from her forced marriage to Otua Blank, and dividing the money from the job fairly with the other bounty hunters (even Boba, whom she betrayed and stuffed in a crate).
29	* NotSoDifferentRemark: Ventress, after hearing Pluma Sodi's story, comes to realize that the girl's predicament is very similar to hers.
30	* OhCrap: The Kage warriors when Ventress pulls out her lightsabers and reduces their knives to scrap metal.

35	* TeethClenchedTeamwork: Zigzagged. While Ventress has nothing but contempt for Boba Fett on account of his youth, she works quite well with the other bounty hunters.
36	* TooDumbToLive: Oked is a bounty hunter who tries to hit on Ventress and won't take the hint she's not interested. Ventress has to drive the point home with a lightsaber.
37	* TrainJob: The Kage warriors try one in order to free Pluma from her captors.
38	* YouHaveNoIdeaWhoYoureDealingWith: Boba says this almost verbatim to Ventress... who simply Force-chokes him and throws the line back in his face.
39	* YoungAndInCharge: The adolescent Boba Fett is in charge of the bounty hunters seen in this episode. Ventress is surprised by his youth, but none of the other hunters have any problem taking orders from him.
