When he cashes the box-tops in, he finds out that he has to wait for his toy in the mail, but his method of waiting is staying by the mailbox so he sees the mailman deliver it, and he denies requests to hang out with the others due to impatience.

After [=SpongeBob=] receives the Kelpo toy, Patrick touches it and its limbs spring out, and [=SpongeBob=] accuses him of breaking it after waiting so long. Patrick arrives to break the news to him and give him a slice of cake and a present. Unfortunately, Patrick ends up eating the cake slice by mistake while searching for the fork (he stored the slice in his mouth to free up a hand to look for the fork), and the present turns out to ''be'' the fork.
42	* MoodWhiplash: [=SpongeBob=] cries when he realizes what a jerk he's been, then instantly cheers up when his toy finally arrives, only for it to seemingly break. Cue instant fury, followed by more tears. Then Squidward arrives and tells them it's ''supposed'' to do that, and he's immediately all smiles again.
43	* PatiencePlot: The plot of the episode is [=SpongeBob=] waiting by his mailbox for a cereal box prize to arrive.
