Stewie runs away to Great Britain so he can be on a children's show. Meanwhile, Peter and Lois go to KISS-Stock, and Peter is appalled that Lois knows nothing about his favorite band.
------
!!Tropes found in this episode include:

* AllGermansAreNazis: The bus tour guide in Munich starts throwing Nazi salutes with very little prompting. Do note that today, Munich is ''vehemently'' anti-Nazi and has dozens of museums and memorials commemorating victims of the Holocaust, as seen in the entry for ArtisticLicenseLaw.
* ArtisticLicenseLaw: During their tour in Germany, Brian and Stewie discover that the pamphlet lists nothing happening between 1939 and 1945, and the tour guide furiously denies it and starts shouting pro-Nazi propaganda, startling both the locals and the tourists on the bus. Denying that the Holocaust actually happened along with other German WWII atrocities is in fact a '''''very serious crime''''' in Germany that will land you in prison for three years, and the government would certainly never approve of a ''guided tour'' claiming otherwise. They really do take what happened back then very seriously, and for good reason.
* AreYouPonderingWhatImPondering: When Brian and Stewie see the hot-air balloon, this exchange happens:
-->'''Brian''': You know what I'm thinking?
-->'''Stewie''': Yes. Just wait until they have to suffer through Jesus Jones. Pee-yew!
-->'''Brian''': Not that. The balloon!
-->'''Stewie''': Oh, yes. The balloon. Let's take it.
* AsHimself: [[Music/{{KISS}} Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons]]
* BittersweetEnding: Stewie learns the painful truth that ''Jolly Farm Revue'' is just a set with actors who aren't anything like the characters, but Brian offers to cheer him up by letting him take a dump in Mother Maggie's shoes. Meanwhile Peter and Lois' relationship is stronger because of her dating Gene Simmons before he became famous.
* BlatantLies: The German tour guide claims that nothing happened in Germany between 1939 and 1945 because everyone was on vacation, the Germans didn't invade Poland but went there because they were invited, and Thomas Mann emigrated to the U.S. to manage a Dairy Queen.
* BreadEggsMilkSquick: After Stewie learns the sad truth about Mother Maggie, Brian tries to cheer him up by offering to take him for ice cream or [=McDonalds=], to which Stewie tearfully shakes his head no. When Brian offers to let him take a dump in Mother Maggie's shoes, Stewie nods yes and Brian takes his hand, telling him, in a motherly way, "Okay, we're gonna take a dump in Mother Maggie's shoes."
* BritishTeeth: On the BBC set of ''Jolly Farm'', the actor under the pig mask has those teeth.
* BrokenPedestal: Stewie to ''Jolly Farm Revue'' (and especially Mother Maggie) when he learns (the hard way) that the show isn't quite the whimsical world TV portrayed it as, matter of fact the exact opposite.
-->'''Stewie:''' [[ThatManIsDead The Stewie who loved ''Jolly Farm'' is dead, Megan]]. Meet the Stewie who loves funky fruit hats!
* CallBack: Much like in "Road to Rhode Island", Stewie attempts to sneak on board a plane. This time, he is successful in sneaking aboard, yet not on the right flight.
* CruelToBeKind: Brian flat out admits to Stewie that he let him experience the painful reality about ''Jolly Farm Revue'' rather than tell him the truth about it, because it was the only way he'd accept it.
* DelayedReaction: Upon hearing that Kiss-stock would be taking place in their part of the country, it takes Peter a while for it to sink in. It's not until he's at a dental appointment does it realize he can go to the festival.
* DepravedKidsShowHost: Pengrove Pig and Mother Maggie have no respect for their jobs; the former looks at porn on set, while the latter calls Stewie a "grotty, little wanker" and kicks him.
* FanDisillusionment: Once Stewie realizes the truth about ''Jolly Farm'', he denounces the show (though he would later love and even star in the Americanized version of it).
* FeedbackRule: At the Music/{{Kiss}} concert, when Lois gets the mic stuck into her face, her awkward mumbling is underpinned by a feedback.
* FreestateAmsterdam: Brian and Stewie wind up in Amsterdam, wind up in a marijuana bar, and wind up getting high just by breathing the air in the bar. Particularly odd is that Brian doesn't realize it's happening.
* GetAHoldOfYourselfMan: When Stewie gets carried away with the backstory he invented for the camel, Brian slaps him out of it.
* GlobalIgnorance: When KISS-Stock is announced to be held in the Northeast, Peter laments (and somehow is under the impression) that they live in French Polynesia, until Lois corrects him.
* HatesTheJobLovesTheLimelight: Mother Maggie turns out to be this.
* ImStandingRightHere: At Rome, when Stewie rants about Brian with the latter standing right next to him. Stewie immediately lampshades the situation.
* LikeAGodToMe: Peter's opinion of Music/{{Kiss}}. Gene Simmons' expression [[NeverHeardThatOneBefore immediately drops from friendly and warm to cold boredom]] as soon as Peter starts gushing.
--> '''Peter''': You...are...GODS!!!
* NiceCharacterMeanActor: The actress who plays Mother Maggie is nowhere near as nice as her character, much to Stewie's dismay. She also provides the trope's page image.
* NotSoRemote: Brian and Stewie end up in the middle of the Arabian desert and their camel dies. Just as they've cut it open to use as an improvised shelter, Brian notices a Comfort Inn over the next dune.
* OverlyLongGag: Stewie's letter to Brian about running away, which gets sidetracked with talk about a misplaced button.
* PrayerOfMalice: Brian and Stewie accidentally embarrass the Pope, who gets mad and commands God to "smite them!". Nothing happens, but he warns them that "He's-a cookin' a-something up!"
* ReallyGetsAround: It's revealed in this episode that Lois's old nickname was Loose Lois, and is still fondly remembered as such by most of the members of KISS.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: When Lois flubs the chorus to "Rock n' Roll All Nite," Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons storm off the stage.
* SeriesFauxnale: If you go in production order, this was the last episode produced for the third season, and, by extent, the show (until it was [[invoked]]UnCanceled in 2005).
* ShoutOut:
** Stewie seeks warmth and shelter by [[Film/TheEmpireStrikesBack cutting open the camel and sheltering inside it]].
** After being left alone on stage, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss sing "[[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chattanooga_Choo_Choo Chattanooga Choo Choo]]," baffling the audience.
* ShowWithinAShow: ''Jolly Farm Revue'', a British children's show that Stewie is a big fan of. He's dismayed to find out that the show itself isn't real and the hosts [[NiceCharacterMeanActor aren't as nice as the characters they play]].
* ShownTheirWork: Zigzagged. When Lois recognizes Gene Simmons out of makeup, she addresses him as Chaim Witz. While that is, indeed, Gene's birth name, when he and his mother immigrated to New York (when he was eight), he began using the name Gene Klein, and he had already adopted Gene Simmons as a stage name when he started college. Basically, it's highly unlikely Gene would have used his birth name around Lois.
* SubvertedRhymeEveryOccasion: During Brian and Stewie's song:
-->'''Brian''': Cause you get a kick out of carnage and guts.
-->'''Stewie:''' ''And you get a kick out of stroking your--''
-->'''Brian:''' [[ThinkOfTheCensors Whoa-whoa, you can't say that on TV!]]
-->'''Stewie:''' What, "ego"?
-->'''Brian:''' Never mind.
* SurroundedByIdiots: The reason why Stewie wants to go to England.
* SuspiciouslySpecificDenial: The German tour that Brian and Stewie go on completely omits any events from 1939 to 1945 - the length of UsefulNotes/WorldWarII, and more specifically, UsefulNotes/TheHolocaust - with the tour guide adamantly insisting that nothing of note happened during those years.
* TakeThat:
** This episode takes a lot of shots at [[Music/{{KISS}} Peter Criss]], which is probably why he didn't voice himself in it.
--->'''Peter''': I should've known you weren't a fan of KISS when you were willing to dress up like Peter Criss. No one wants to be Peter Criss, Lois, not even Peter Criss!
** As Peter and Lois drive home early, Peter reassures to her that while he's angry, he's obligated to continue loving her and decides to take his rage out on his own body. Peter promptly pulls into a Denny's Diner.
* WalkOfShame: This happens to Peter and Lois at KISS-Stock when Lois bungles the lyrics to "Rock and Roll All Nite", revealing to all that she lied about being a diehard KISS fan.
--->'''Lois:''' Why is everybody glaring at us?
--->'''Peter:''' ''Why'', Lois? I'll tell you why! Your ''faux pas'' last night at the concert was so upsetting, I had to call a university professor to tell me what phrase I should use to describe it!
--->''(cut to Peter calling said professor)''
--->'''Professor:''' Use "faux pas".
--->'''Peter:''' Thanks, Professor.
* WholePlotReference: The episode was inspired by ''Film/RoadToMorocco'', including its musical number "(We're off on the) Road to Morocco", which was previously parodied in "[[Recap/FamilyGuyS2E13RoadToRhodeIsland Road to Rhode Island]]".
