'''Leadership'''

The House of Leadership is a small house, but it is one of the most important of them all. Leadership is the quality of being able to take control of forces and let them follow through tough times. The deities here may not have the sheer power or money as other Gods have, but their charisma and ability to take charge is what makes them some of the deadliest.

Ever since [[Pantheon/CourtOfTheGods the Court]] ruled it as such, the Grand United Alliance Faction Leaders (Cosmos, Melkor, YHVH and Lucifer) are no longer part of this House, but still retain honorary membership.

* After becoming aware of the Pantheon, Darkseid met with Miraak (who, of course, arrived at his temple to find him [[https://darkseidchillingonacouch.tumblr.com/ sitting on his couch]]) to make a deal to get himself into the Pantheon in exchange for the chance to experience unimaginable power. Believing that this power would give him the strength necessary to take over the GUAE, Miraak quickly accepted and got him ascended. When he went to get what he was promised, Darkseid merely grinned, thanked him for his effort, and [[ExactWords used his Omega Beams to disintegrate him]].
--> Darkseid: ''[[WesternAnimation/JusticeLeagueUnlimited Though your world will suffer slowly, I grant you a quick death.]]''
* Born the youngest son of the original ruler of Apokolips, Yuga Khan, and his wife, Heggra, Uxas was a young man who plotted to usurp the throne of the hell planet which was the birthright of his more peaceful older brother Drax. When Drax attempted to connect with the Omega Realm, an extra-dimensional plain that is the source of an incredibly powerful and destructive energy known as the Omega Effect, Uxas interrupted the process and seized the power for himself. Quickly taking power in Apokolips after, Uxas assumed a new god name, a name that would become the most dreaded name of all the gods... the embodiment of Tyranny and Evil, '''Darkseid!'''
** As the Anthropomorphic Personification of the very concept of Tyranny, Darkseid is obsessed with gaining control of everything and everyone, whether by breaking them... or other means. YHVH and Melkor have both expressed interest in recruiting him into the GUAL and GUAE, respectively, but Darkseid would only agree to join if they stepped down and deferred leadership to him. Needless to say, that's not happening. From Apokolips, he plots to eventually depose them and consolidate their Alliances into a part of his empire to take over the other Alliances, starting with the GUAC, which he loathes as the antithesis of his very existence, and, in time, the rest of the Pantheon. '''Such is the will of Darkseid!'''
* As a New God, Darkseid's incorporeal true form lies outside of the multiverse, existing only in Fourth World. He creates weaker physical incarnations of himself to interact with beings beneath him. This means that, unlike the majority of deities, Darkseid's memory is completely unaffected by retcons, both small [[CosmicRetcon and large.]] As such he possesses knowledge of ''every'' iteration of the DC Universe since its beginning, and as such every iteration of the DC Multiverse. It's unsure what, if anything, he's planning with this information.
** There is, perhaps, one sole exception to this. After the [[ComicBook/{{Flashpoint}} Flashpoint Event]], Darkseid's origin became a bit different: while still the youngest son of Yuga Kha and Heggra, Uxas abhorred his parents and the rest of the Old Gods, who required belief and worship of mortals to sustain themselves and yet cared little, if anything, for their followers. Aspiring to usurp them, Uxas provoked them into fighting amongst themselves by spreading falsehoods and rumors to them and, when they were weakened and dying in the ensuing conflict, stole their powers away, eventually killing his father and stealing his power as well. He became Darkseid and ruler of Apokolips after a fight with his older brother Izaya ended up destroying their world and splitting it in two. Though Drax himself no longer seems to exist and his role in Darkseid's new backstory has been appropriated by Izaya, how much, if any, of this new backstory Darkseid still retains is unknown, especially after [[ComicBook/DCInfiniteFrontier Infinite Frontier]] restored all the original continuities.
** ComicBook/{{Darkseid}} reaffirmed his place as a Multiversal threat in the New 52, with one documented story of his war on Earth-2 revealing he is in possession of the Anti-Life Equation, having retained it from ''ComicBook/FinalCrisis'', and another revealing he had been systematically slaying the Supermen of the Multiverse for unknown purpose, [[spoiler:even making a clone of one of them to lead his armies on Earth-2]] in place of the defiant Steppenwolf. He is now powerful to the extent that [[spoiler:the Anti-Monitor]] had to build up strength for the expressed purpose of fighting him.
** What's even worse, he has allied with Shao Kahn in a [[VideoGame/MortalKombatVSDCUniverse certain universe]] and both have the ability to perform a FusionDance which results in... '''[[NamesToRunFromReallyFast Dark Kahn]]'''. This does not make anyone comfortable.
* Many deities have wondered about the true nature of the Anti-Life Equation. The Anti-Life Equation is, among other things, a mathematical formula that instills within any sentient being that hears it with the mathematical truth that all hope and freedom is meaningless, and strips them of their free will, rendering them subservient to Darkseid. This power is known as "Anti-Life" due to the belief that beings that possess no free will... aren't really alive. Darkseid has used this power to corrupt the minds of a number of deities in the various Grand Alliances to act as moles for him, though they've been instructed to otherwise act normally. He has refused to comment on exactly how many he has enslaved in this way or their exact identities. YHVH, whose ultimate goal is a world where no one is capable of doing unlawful and has gone to insane lengths in pursuit of this goal, is insanely jealous that Darkseid, a God of similar power and motivations to Himself, possesses something of this nature, and has made it a high priority objective to learn the full equation... not an easy task, as Darkseid knows full well.
** That said, the two of them did eventually begin to warm up with one another eventually. By the time Darkseid managed to create his own alliance, he came to the conclusion that the Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfLaw would be the easiest part to establish some sort of relationship with, given that YHVH if a fellow tyrannical god, like he is. When the two finally met after patching things up, Darkseid proposed a deal to allow YHVH an allowance of his military strength while The Great Will would also present him with some backup. To the shock and dismay of many, they actually went ahead with the deal as YHVH felt that Darkseid's aid can give him an advantage against his other enemies and vice-versa, though they consider themselves as equal partners as a distinct way of letting others know of their partnership. Obviously enough, some members of the GUAL are not pleased with the results.
* Since [[ComicBook/WonderWomanRebirth draining the powers of and killing Zeus (and a number of his demigod children)]], with the help of his daughter, the Apokoliptian-Amazonian hybrid known as Grail, to return to his original self [[ComicBook/DarkseidWar after being turned into a baby]] [[labelnote:*]] DontAsk, ItsALongStory [[/labelnote]], gods who are members of various mythological pantheons and those related to those gods (particularly if they're Greek) are not fond of Darkseid. Wonder Woman and Hercules (who was one of the aforementioned demigods killed by Grail), in particular, have sworn vengeance on him for that act. His ability to drain and absorb the power of other gods makes him a massive threat to every single deity in the Pantheon, possibly even more so than he was outside of the Pantheon. However, when against beings lesser than himself, he prefers to force them into serving him, if possible, rather than kill them.
* He has a few plans for changing some of the Houses and sub-houses after he takes over the Pantheon. All the time-related sub-houses of Pantheon/TimeAndTemporality and the House of Pantheon/{{Musicality}} would have to go, as Darkseid doesn't like how many things can go wrong with TimeTravel, and he doesn't like being reminded of [[ComicBook/FinalCrisis that time when he was defeated by Superman singing]]. Then the Hall of Pantheon/JoyAndHappiness in Pantheon/{{Emotion}} (with special care to kill Joy and Pollyanna) to get rid of all happiness in the Pantheon. The House of Pantheon/{{Heroism}}, of course, don't want to forget that one, for obvious reasons. To most people's surprise, he expects to keep the House of Pantheon/OpposingFate around despite his hatred of it, as he considers [[TheEvilsOfFreeWill free will to be a terrible thing]] and [[EvilCannotComprehendGood can't understand why anyone would want to live with it]], so he sometimes likes to use it as a form of punishment.
* His willingness to use any method to gain control of everyone and everything has gotten him supporters in Big Brother and Molag Bal. His goal of Dystopia perfectly aligns with Big Brother's, and as Darkseid's ally, Big Brother uses his propaganda in a similar manner as Darkseid's servant, Glorious Godfrey, convincing deities to turn against their Alliances and spreading distrust and despair throughout the Pantheon. Darkseid considers Molag Bal to be similar to his Master Torturer, Desaad, except more ambitious and competent, which is quite the compliment from someone like Darkseid[[note]]Although Desaad would disagree, [[TheDreaded so long as Darkseid can't hear]][[/note]]. To wit, Molag Bal finds himself quite at home in Apokolips, and Darkseid in turn finds Molag Bal's realm of Coldharbour to be a very wonderful place. Although they acknowledge that fulfilling their ambitions will eventually lead to them fighting for dominance, and have prepared for the day that comes, they enjoy working together for the time being.
** Captain America, much like Darkseid's adopted son, Mister Miracle, champions the fight for freedom and liberty that America represents, making him a natural enemy to the evil god whose tyrannous nature makes him the literal antithesis of all that Captain America fights for.
* Has been known to manifest himself in the House of Pantheon/{{Commerce}} as "Boss Dark Side", the owner and operator of his personal club, the [[https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/Dark_Side_Club Dark Side Club]], which appeals to the richest (and most morally corrupt) deities in the Pantheon, offering the opportunity to gamble on fights between different deities, who he pits against each other by temporarily warping their minds with the Anti-Life Equation. If two deities have battled each other outside Wiz and Boomstick's simulations, odds are good they're matches set up in the Dark Side Club.
* Despite the reputation [[Pantheon/{{Metafiction}} Deadpool]] seems to have with most villains, Darkseid seems to not mind him much and can tolerate much of what the Merc with the Mouth has to say. Perhaps this is because Deadpool reminds Darkseid of [[ComicBook/{{AmbushBug}} Ambush Bug]], someone who, like Deadpool, also breaks the fourth wall and is someone Darkseid [[GoKartingWithBowser openly has fun]] spending time with.
** Deadpool once tried to sell him Thanos' chair. When Thanos finally found them, [[WebAnimation/DeathBattle a confrontation between them ensued]], [[spoiler: which Darkseid ended up winning by trapping Thanos in the Omega Sanction. Thanos has since been freed, and has vowed to pay him back for the humiliation]]. One scheme Thanos had to bring Darkseid down [[NoodleIncident somehow]] ended up with [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=To5NACQ5UDg them both participating in a rap battle]].
** Speaking of Thanos, Darkseid has an interesting history with him. According to Hawkeye, Darkseid "[[https://i.redd.it/7jganobhquf21.jpg looks even worse than Thanos, if that's even possible!]]". They've met before, and it's known that Darkseid considers Thanos a "[[https://nerdist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/Thanosvsdarkseid_bc555e_6718948.jpg pale]] [[{{Expy}} imitation]]". They've [[ComicBook/AmalgamUniverse been merged into the being Thanoseid, who fought the New Asgods, the merged forms of the New Gods of Genesis and the Norse Gods]], so the Avengers, especially Thor and Odin, who merged with Orion and Highfather to become Thorion and Odin the Highfather, respectively, know that they're more than justified in hating him as much as the Justice League does.
* Views Galactus as a worthy opponent, as the Devourer of Worlds is one of the few [[NoSell who can tank his Omega Beams]] (though he insists he was just getting warmed up). Apokolips has no life force for Galactus to feed on, so it holds no value to him. Darkseid has attempted to convince Galactus to aid him in taking over the Pantheon, but so far Galactus isn't terribly interested. His curiosity ''was'' piqued when Darkseid told him of New Genesis, which did present a very appetizing prospect. Highfather and the other New Gods on New Genesis did not appreciate the trouble that brought.
* Finds Santa Claus ''incredibly annoying'', because he somehow manages to break through his defenses on Apokolips for the sole purpose of giving him coal every single year on Christmas. Of course, the reason Santa Claus does this is because Darkseid is at the very top of his naughty list, and still is, even compared to the rest of the Pantheon, so Santa is obviously not too fond of ''him'' either.
* [[Pantheon/DraconicBeings Bowser]] doesn't get along with Darkseid. While [[{{Foil}} the two are rulers with incredible power and a massive fear factor backing them up]], Bowser [[EvenEvilHasLovedOnes dearly loves his son]] and is openly and genuinely respected by his troops and supporters. In stark contrast, Darkseid [[AbusiveParents despises his sons, Orion, Kalibak, and his adopted son, Scott Free AKA Mister Miracle]], [[OffingTheOffspring and has no problem killing them]] while also [[BadBoss subjugating his followers using terror to force them to revere him]].
** As much as he hates his sons, he does have a strange caring for his oldest son, Kalibak, which is more fueled by the memory of his mother, Darkseid's first and only love. For this reason, he hates High Councilor Kal-El for killing Kalibak almost as much as he hates the High Councilor's mainstream counterpart.
** Speaking of abusive fathers, Darkseid's is [[{{Understatement}} not exactly a nice guy]]. Though having ascended to the title of GodOfEvil and living up to the title well, Darkseid does not actually embody Evil, but Tyranny. His father, Yuga Khan, is the original God of Evil whose title was usurped by his son. True to form, Yuga Khan is much, ''much'' worse than Darkseid is, both as a father (which is ''really'' saying something) and an individual (Yuga Khan, despite not being a Pantheonic deity, may technically be in the Pantheon, as he’s perpetually stuck to the [[Pantheon/AstronomicalBodies Source Wall]]). Darkseid hates his father with a passion, and this hatred justifiably extends to those that remind him of him, such as the Pantheon's own GodOfEvil, Melkor, and Aku, the being made of evil.
** There was one intergalactic being that was similar to Darkseid in some way or another; Ultraman Belial. Like Darkseid himself, Belial was a being who desired to rule the universe with an iron fist and was a member of a divine race that began to rebel against his kind the moment he desired ultimate power much like Darkseid himself when he was Uxas. When the two met, both took to respecting one another for their determination and their prowess. However, any chances of establishing a firm partnership were dashed the moment Darkseid learned that Belial was a member of the Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfDestruction. Fortunately, Belial's respect for the Lord of Tyranny meant that he was, at least, more tolerable than Melkor in some capacity so the idea of an alliance is still possible, that is if Belial relinquishes his GUAD membership in favour of Darkseid. There's also the fact that both have opposing sons so there's more to their similarity than just being {{Galactic|Conqueror}} {{Evil Overlord}}s. Naturally, Riku Asakura, Belial's successor and biological son opposes Darkseid and so does the rest of the Ultramen due to how he resembles Belial so much, in addition to his capacity to destroy entire planets and being a cosmic threat who will stop at nothing to achieve his goals.
* The alliance long-planned by Darkseid has now become a reality. The Pantheon/GUAEDystopiaHarbingers has members from other alliances like the Grand United Alliances of Evil, Law, Chaos and Destruction. This sudden shake-up has many Alliance leaders worried about the dual membership and some have even considered brief truces with Darkseid so they can keep an eye on him and hopefully keep his rising role in the Alliance war minor. However, Darkseid only considers brief team-ups if the proposal acknowledges him as the superior being.
** Had a chance encounter with [[Pantheon/TyrannicalFigures Sauron]] who felt dissatisfied with his position in the GUAE and Melkor favouring [[Pantheon/NamingConvention Lord Voldemort]] over him in a leading position on the Pantheon/GUAEMalumMagia. Darkseid decided to convince Sauron to quit the GUAE and to enlist him as a chief enforcer and a personal [[TheDragon right-hand man]], both to bolster his forces and as a way to spite Melkor.
** The Anti-Spiral was a being that intrigued Darkseid greatly as the former was driven by a need to subjugate others via fearmongering and putting a halt to their potential evolution in an effort to stave off the Spiral Nemesis. While it did do this with good intent, it eventually drove the Anti-Spiral mad to the point where it became a control-obsessed tyrant. Seeing as the Anti-Spiral felt alienated by all the other alliances and was disappointed by Team Dai-Gurren, Darkseid assured him that he, too, was seeking order and that together, they can work together to strongarm their enemies and pin them down to submission. Seeing the Lord of Tyranny's methods as heavily effective after taking a glance at Apokolips, the Anti-Spiral decided that Darkseid was the most worthy ally they could hope to have and serves as the closest asset Darkseid could have to a mecha sub-unit. Incidentally, this caught the attention of Team Dai-Gurren themselves, who expressed dread and disgust at just what Darkseid was capable of, thinking that he's worse than the Anti-Spiral regarding control, immediately declaring him a threat.
** Shortly thereafter, Darkseid crossed paths with [[Pantheon/{{Offsprings}} Archaon the Everchosen]], who at first wanted nothing to do with him. Darkseid managed to catch Archaon's attention by mentioning the Chaos Gods and how every alliance opposed him, given his reputation and him destroying his own world, which stunned Archaon. Darkseid offered an arrangement in which he would supply Archaon with resources to rebel against the Chaos Gods as long as he commited his service and the loyalty of the Everchosen to Darkseid, which would give the Lord of Apokolips a substantial legion of Daemons to add to his forces. Archaon agreed, albeit hesitantly, and has taken the role of Darkseid's [[TheAce ace]].
** Impressed with [[Pantheon/TortureAndMutilation AM]] and his [[AndIMustScream nightmarish approach]] to torturing its opposes. Darkseid feels as if AM is the perfect replacement for Desaad, viewing the former as more competent in its specialty. AM also likes Darkseid for his approach in instilling fear and hopelessness towards others. However, AM also has ties with Melkor, something which Darkseid wishes to abolish in hopes of having AM on its side.
* Due to embodying Tyranny, Darkseid has made foes with those who [[HopeBringer promote hope]], but the one he has special enmity towards is [[Pantheon/MagicAndSorcery Madoka Kaname]], whose actions regarding [[AllLovingHero redemption, love and peace]] disgust and anger Darkseid to no end. Despite knowing the pact that Madoka and her quintet make holds consequences, Darkseid isn't too keen on the [[Pantheon/{{Advertising}} Incubators]] either, seeing them as counterproductive beings whose wishes [[HoistByTheirOwnPetard can be used against them]]. The Lord of Apokolips has vowed to either brutally kill Madoka or imprison her in the Omega Sanction as a means to [[HopeCrusher spread helplessness and terror]] towards his opponents.
* [[Pantheon/VillainousArchetypes Angra Mainyu]] upon ascending into the Pantheon, declared many of the residing Evil Gods a rival, Darkseid included. However, Darkseid not only ignores it, but considers Angra Mainyu to be someone who is highly incompetent and pathetic for someone to champion himself as a GodOfEvil. Angra Mainyu wishes to have Darkseid acknowledge him, to no avail as Darkseid backs up his villainous credibility with numerous feats and for [[TheDreaded instilling fear and terror]] towards his oppressors, all of which Angra Mainyu lacks.
* [[Pantheon/HatredAndRancor Zamasu]] outright loathes Darkseid with a passion, seeing him as a perversion of the concept of Gods and finds the very concept of an "[[GodOfEvil Evil God]]" to be blasphemous and twisted. Darkseid on the other hand, finds Zamasu to be a joke in his belief and goals, outright stating him to be no different from the races he wishes to destroy. The very fact that [[CompleteMonster Zamasu]] champions himself as a "[[NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist well-intentioned]]" and righteous bringer of Justice only causes Darkseid to further underscore what a [[{{Hypocrite}} deluded, hopeless figure]] he really is. He knows full well [[BerserkButton it infuriates Zamasu]], and he enjoys it.
''See what I have made! Imagine what is yet to come! I take away their confusion and give them obedience. I take away their fear of themselves and give them fear of Darkseid. I have liberated them from the chaos and indecision! I have given one straight path! One clear purpose! One goal: To die for Darkseid!''

* It's not easy to envision and live out a life as a politician. You can try to imagine trying to be the leader of a country, and the amount of stress and effort needed is more daunting than one could ever imagine, on top of needing to possess an incredible display of ambition and wit to get ahead in the political game, let alone becoming leader. Such is the case for the United States, but what if the president played his game through [[ManipulativeBastard emotional and mental manipulation]], [[KickTheDog discarding his assets once used]] and [[MoralEventHorizon committing any act of irredeemable action]], all to become the 46th President of the United States? This was accomplished by Francis Joseph Underwood, a brilliant schemer and manipulator who was able to fool the general public into [[VillainWithGoodPublicity seeing him in good light]] and [[FauxAffablyEvil doing a very good job in masking himself in false charm and politeness]].
* Frank's first feelings in the Pantheon were one of total apathy and initial discontent. He was surrounded by commoners who minded their own business and went along with optimism and smiles. Frank gritted, marching his way around a city street. He soon managed to collect a newspaper about a recent event by the Pantheon/CourtOfTheGods. This was surprising to him as Frank realized that he may not be in Washington D.C. at all and immediately made a dash towards the closest city exit. With a quick scheme, he was able to convince a taxi cab into driving him to a city outskirts and was able to hide his face effectively well throughout the whole incident. Upon exiting the cab, Frank walked up a hill and glanced at the city where he once was moments ago, confirming his guess that he was in a new world.
** It was from this hill that Frank came across Griffith, who greeted himself and asked of him. Frank sneered at the Godhand member, stating that he couldn't give a crap about the concept of gods, but Griffith redacted by stating that he'll be meeting several gods and that he would need to get ready for it. This amused Frank as he found the idea that he, the president of the United States was now in a position of Godhood, despite Frank being dismissive of the concept. Griffith then offered him a position in the Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfEvil, given how Frank lived out his life personally and as president. Initially divided, he begrudgingly accepted, but told Griffith that he would like to receive a leading position, thinking that a president in a lowly position would look embarrassing on his part. Frank was then accompanied by Griffith to be taken to an apparition of Melkor, who introduced himself as the Pantheon's top GodOfEvil. Deciding to work on Frank's leadership and manipulation skills, he allowed Frank into the Pantheon/GUAEMastermind, under Griffith's service. Though he accepted the deal, Frank opted to work things out mostly in his own way.
* Melkor was asked if Frank can establish a collection of cities for the GUAE forces. Frank stated that although they are a massive force that can reach up among the cosmos, the absence of a city would not work well for villains who seek accommodation, plus he can kickstart financial earnings and an economic system for their gains. He wanted this to happen so that he could provide some kind of influence for the GUAE and to feel accomplished in some way. He got his wish, although to his dismay, Melkor established a small number of cities exclusive to the GUAE. Although disappointed, Frank went ahead, vowing to work into expanding the GUAE's territory.
* Frank is... ''[[ZeroPercentApprovalRating not liked]]'' by numerous residents, or at least after they find out [[TheSociopath what kind of person he really is]]. They think Frank is disproportionately petty and vindictive and they'll underscore that his presidency only ruined the lives of several citizens, especially mentioning his orchestrated cyber attacks, bombings and dumping sarin gas, the latter as a PretextForWar. Not that Frank [[LackOfEmpathy couldn't give a damn about morality and his critics' feelings]]. Melkor likes Frank for that habit.
* He is a political genius who is able to quickly deduce and exploit laws and regulations to his advantage. This is a trait not many members of the GUAE possess and this serves to make Melkor more impressed. Frank however sneers at the GodOfEvil over the fact that he preps so much time trying to settle scores in fighting and waging wars that he couldn't take the time to win competitions using only his wits and knowledge. Melkor held off his anger, but does know that the GUAE doesn't have many politicians on their side.
** Griffith is somewhat unusual. Frank does express some respect over his leadership and being able to play with other's emotions and expectations to his means. Upon hearing of Griffith's [[MoralEventHorizon sacrifice of the Band of the Hawk]], Frank took to talking to him about it and what satisfaction did it bring. Griffith stated that the event got him everything he ever wanted and that its a waste of time to consider grieving for others. Frank agreed with what Griffith had to state, but has told him that he'd remain human than be an Apostle. They're currently on decent terms, with Frank often thinking about teaching Griffith on how to be a skilled manipulator and exploiter of politics and law.
* Every once in a while, Frank will talk without anyone around his presence. He will often state how crap humanity is, how easily manipulable people are in general and ask if ''you'' really are considerate and beneficial as an individual. He'll often rant about numerous events, small or large scaled, play it up to be a supposed great or terrible thing and then profess that in the end, ''you're'' worthless in simply just witnessing it and providing nothing about the events. Turns out, [[TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou he is talking to the audience]]. Once Frank is all alone without anybody, he'll resort to taking out his frustration towards his supposed audience and his viewers. He's somewhat well-aware that he is a fictional character, but that is not going to hold him back.
** For his fourth-wall exploitation, he found a companion under Bernkastel who is also someone who takes to interacting the Fourth Wall and insulting her viewers over the fact that they're her allies (whether they like it or not). Frank seems impressed by what Bernkastel is capable of and both sometimes talk about how to exploit people and ruin their opportunities to do better.
* Previous United States Presidents, especially Theodore Roosevelt, despise Frank for his callous, self-serving and remorseless nature and declare him to be a complete disgrace in representing their country. Frank shot back, stating that they too, were self-serving to some extent and that they didn't always provide back for the US populace, not to mention how every US President tends to be negatively viewed by some. Unfortunately for [[{{Hypocrite}} Frank]], lots of residents pointed out on how all of what Frank said applies greatly towards him more than the other presidents. This had Frank back away for quite some time before throwing in another rant privately (Or rather towards his viewers outside the fourth wall).
** Frank, however, reserves his greatest scorn towards Jed Bartlet when it comes to American presidents. He is astonished and outright disgusted to learn how optimistic and idealistic Bartlet comes off, seeing him as unrealistic and a showoff. Bartlet sees Underwood as a complete disgrace to America and questions how can such a vile and condescending man even become president. While he does his best to hide it, much of Underwood's hatred towards Bartlet can come off as [[EvilIsPetty petty]] as Bartlet loves his wife and daughters and is usually beloved by the people he works with while Frank couldn't care less about anybody and sees them as chess pieces to be used and discarded, even his wife.
* Some have noticed that Frank [[Creator/KevinSpacey looks a lot like]] Lex Luthor. Turns out, the two have met and conversed with one another. Frank was surprised to see that Lex also became the American President a few times before entering the Pantheon and the two quickly became accommodate with one another. When Lex started to mention "the alien", Frank, preferring to go with "Superman" replied with a condescending "He's overrated as fuck. No novelty, just a generic representation for the populace to flaunt on and whine for". This amused Lex quite a lot.
** Unsurprisingly, Superman and Captain America despise Frank for being the complete antithesis to what America stands for and for being a morally bankrupt individual in general. Lois Lane also hates him for exploiting a journalist and then killing her when she [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness served him no purpose]] and wanted to eliminate evidence. Frank, on the other hand, sees Superman and Captain America as cheap and pathetic in his own point of view.
** On a flipside, Frank hates his other lookalike, John Doe, for being someone who is far too deluded in his own killing spree and his religious philosophy. John sees Frank as an idiotic leader in return and a perfect representation of {{Pride}}, which Frank rather takes as a compliment. Frank has a rather... interesting way of summing up John Doe:
--> '''Frank:''' John Doe, eh? Thinks he's a deep and righteous person? Like fucking hell, Christians will ever take to even giving him one good compliment. Isn't it in the rule that we aren't supposed to kill because of Damnation. Then again, he decided to screw a woman, kill her and be a sin representative himself, throwing himself into this [[NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist belief bullshit]] that he had established. While messing with her lover cop is a rather interesting twist, he's a delusional mess, always was, and my respect to him is like how I treat toilet paper.
* He has been compared as a tyrant, which only amuses Frank further. Alongside this, he finds himself in good company with Palpatine and the two seem to relate to one another regarding a LackOfEmpathy and trickery. Even Darkseid seems to respect Frank to a degree, despite the Lord of Tyranny being opposed to Melkor, seeing his intellect as challenging and focused. Another admirer is Sauron, who thinks that Frank is [[YouAreACreditToYourRace noteworthy for his species]] and would sometimes talk to him. That said, being a defector of the GUAE, Sauron can't interact with Frank for long, unless he brings in Melkor's presence.
** Other tyrannical figures like Gihren Zabi, Muruta Azrael and Tywin Lannister are cordial with Frank and are willing to establish diplomatic relations with him as a means to strengthen the GUAE's unity and accelerate budget increase for propaganda, weapons development and other actions that would please Melkor. Gihren and Muruta have praised Frank for committing attacks and killing innocents to further his career and Tywin can relate to Frank's methodical and sharp tactics and thinking to get ahead and outsmart his foes.
** However, being a tyrant-like figure has gotten him enemies under Night Raid and Akame, who've made no stops in attempting to assassinate him at any given moment. Frank, however, has a collection of Apostles sent by Griffith to keep him protected. The Phantom Thieves of Hearts are also gunning for the chance in rewriting his heart, and Frank isn't going to allow a pack of teenage thieves to change his entire character. However, he became more concerned when he found about what they did to [[spoiler: Shido to make him confess his own crimes. Since then he has begun to secretly fear them.]]
** However, he is somewhat nervous at the prospect of SCP-2578-D, considering they're hellbent in targeting and killing tyrants, with which Frank isn't any different from. This is one of the few instances where Frank feels that he needs Melkor and Griffith, as he's a politician, not a fighter, and thus, can't defend himself against beings who would fire a KillSat to make sure the job is done.
* Senator Steven Armstrong has conflicted feelings about Frank. He believes that he is very proficient and clever in politics and mind games, but he also thinks that he's too [[ItsAllAboutMe self-serving]] and [[EvilIsPetty petty]] to the point where he's actually poisonous towards America. Frank, on the other hand, chides Armstrong for being a WellIntentionedExtremist and believes that while Armstrong would be of great physical asset, his worldview contradicts his, and that doesn't sit well for him. A similar sentiment comes from lookalike Jonathan Irons who, while also malicious and oppressive thinks what he's doing is good for his country. Irons thinks Frank should drop his petty games and focus on building up his ambitions, which he took to doing as soon as Irons said this.
** Frank also has a working relationship with Lord Djibril, although their feelings are [[TeethClenchedTeamwork strained at best]]. They're both [[CompleteMonster utterly depraved]], have used war as a slogan for promotion and would sell-out their associates to further their own goals, but Djibril's cowardly nature when it comes to dealing with opponents leaves Frank frustrated. Lord Djibril thinks Frank is too self-centered. Frank came up with this retort...
--> '''Frank:''' You think I kiss my own ass too much when you fail to realize [[{{Hypocrite}} you're no different]]. We are shitty politicians, [[NotSoSimilar but that's where it ends]]. [[DirtyCoward You're a cowering whelp]] who can't find a solution to handle yourself when things go against you. At least I learn enough of my associates to learn of their weaknesses and counter them in the off chance I'm potentially opposed. It's easy why Muruta was said to be better; he got shit done. Heck, being a coward is [[NeverLiveItDown what you're known for]]. It's your godly moniker after all.
** That said, Frank is rather cordial with the Enclave, given how they are a morally twisted iteration of America. Frank is currently thinking about establishing bilateral relations between the GUAE and the Enclave by any means necessary, yet also wants to attempt to convince them to give up seeking any remotely noble intentions so that they may be able to easily work together. He also gets along with fellow CorruptPolitician Ethan Roark Senior and Frank is willing to give him money and resources for Roark Senior to carry on his political career in the oath that Frank also gets to keep his position intact and strong. That said, he hates Ethan Roark Junior for being uncontrollable and a pain to work with, despite knowing that he's [[CompleteMonster just as depraved as he is]]. Frank finds it annoying that he can't kill Roark Junior unless he were to ruin his working relations with Roark Senior.
* Is very open about his disdain and contempt for children. He'll mention it every once in a while. Naturally, this made him an enemy towards the House of Family and numerous GoodParents have come to dislike Frank for his approach towards the young, especially considering he convinced his wife to have an abortion.
* Thanks to Frank, the GUAE are able to gain prominence in the topic of Government and Politics, something which Melkor and Griffith found pleasing as they feel they could challenge the Pantheon/CourtOfTheGods in this regard if they continue to engineer and bolster their political interests higher up. They intend to have Frank be one of their representing politicians due to his skills and intellect, but they also have to keep in check of Frank's ego as they've noticed how needy and ambitious he could get.

* Respects: [[Pantheon/MannersOfAuthority Emperor Augustus]] (in a VillainRespect way)
* Dreads: [[Pantheon/AlignmentChanges Iroque]], [[Pantheon/{{Thieves}} The Phantom Thieves of Heart]]
* The RuleOfTwo was meant to ensure each new Sith Lord would be stronger than the last, which ultimately culminated in the Naboo senator Sheev Palpatine, aka Darth Sidious. [[TheAce Though the strongest Sith in Force powers]], his true strength was political intelligence. [[Film/ThePhantomMenace He set up a crisis on Naboo]] to ride the sympathy vote to [[PresidentEvil Supreme Chancellor]], and a decade later [[Film/AttackOfTheClones started a proxy war to gain power]]: the Clone Wars. The Jedi's reputation was stained by the conflict, but the coup de grace was Order 66: [[Film/RevengeOfTheSith after their attempt on his life]], he'd order the clones to kill the Jedi and label the remaining Jedi as traitors...except [[FallenHero for the newly minted Vader]], who'd tie up loose ends [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness like the Separatists]]. Through all this he completed transitioning the Galactic Republic into the military dictatorship known as [[TheEmpire the Galactic Empire]]. [[DespotismJustifiesTheMeans All he wanted was power absolute]], [[TheBadGuyWins and it seemed he had it]]. But Yoda and Kenobi survived to play the LongGame with children of Skywalker he thought had perished, and his new apprentice [[ManOnFire was severely]] [[WeCanRebuildHim wounded]]. And [[KarmaHoudiniWarranty karma would eventually have its due]].
** The start of Palpatine's downfall was the Rebel Alliance, which only grew when [[Film/ANewHope the Death Star's usage on Alderaan]] showed how the Empire is rotten to the core. However it would not be his despotism that would kill Palpatine, but what was meant to be his greatest prize: Darth Vader. As Anakin, Palpatine [[ParentalSubstitute had acted like a father]] to groom him for apprentice-ship, and clinched it by playing on his fear of losing his beloved Padme and his resentment for the Jedi Council. But as Vader learned Luke was his son, [[WeCanRuleTogether he saw an opportunity]]. The Emperor saw Luke as Vader's replacement, goaded him into committing {{Patricide}}...but Luke refused to give in. [[VillainousBreakdown Having gone off-script broke Palpatine's cool]] and he just decided to kill him for insubordination. [[EvilCannotComprehendGood But as he had underestimated Luke's morality, he forgot about the spark of light in Vader]]. This spark reignited Anakin Skywalker, who threw the Emperor to his death to save his son. [[MutualKill Though Palpatine's last resistance had killed Anakin's body]], [[RedemptionEqualsDeath his soul was saved]].
** Not even death was the end for Palpatine however, though the circumstances depend on the continuity. An ImmortalitySeeker in either timeline, though not one concerned with his empire knowing; either leaving it to fall into civil war [[TakingYouWithMe or using a Contingency to break it apart for letting him die]]. Through cloning, he would lie in wait [[ComicBook/DarkEmpire In one timeline]], he emerged under a new, dark side magocracy and still hoped to twist Luke to his cause. [[Film/TheRiseOfSkywalker In another]], he would serve as the secret de-facto leader of [[TheRemnant the First Order]] through [[PuppetKing Snoke]]. The galaxy would surrender or burn by his superlaser-powered Star Destroyers, and he intended to salvage his crippled body by taking Rey's body for herself...she was his grandchild[[note]]well, daughter of a ModifiedClone[[/note]] after all. However his second conquest would not be nearly as successful, he would left without viable clone bodies, and either a survivor of Order 66 would drag his soul into Chaos or Rey with the guidance of the spirits of Jedi would destroy Palpatine with his own Force Lightning. Either way, after almost/more than a century Palpatine ''finally'' was snuffed out once and for all.
* The Emperor joyously shouted "[[EvilIsHammy UNLIMITED POWER!]]" upon his ascension. His cunning, resources and strength in the Dark Side quickly made him a valued member of the Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfEvil, and following Sauron's defection to Darkseid a potential replacement for the fallen Maiar. The Emperor commands the Pantheon/GUAEConquestForce and has a supporting role in the Pantheon/GUAEMalumMagia, much to Voldemort's chagrin; Sheev is quick to roast Voldemort by saying "I subverted democracy and ruled the galaxy for decades, you couldn't even take over a high school!" That being said, their rivalry isn't one of outright hatred as the two are pretty similar in power and aesthetics.
* Despite supplanting him in Melkor's eyes Sauron actually likes Sidious as a WorthyOpponent. It helps that Palpatine has [[GalacticConqueror a more sensible endgame]] than [[OmnicidalManiac Melkor]]. To stop him talking about Sauron Melkor boasted he created the Dark Side, but Palpatine rebutted "[[EvilTaintedThePlace only in YOUR galaxy]], [[Literature/StarWarsTheAftermathTrilogy and I sense it may be somewhere in or beyond the Unknown Regions]]. Melkor did lead to Palpatine considering the importance of [[GodOfEvil gods of evil]], having first looked for the Emperor of the Kingdom Dolorous only to be dissapointed [[TheDevilIsALoser Dis embodies "the trap of the Dark Side"]]. Further search and study of the concept of [[MadeOfEvil physical evil]] led Palpatine to find Aku. Though they argue whether regular tyranny or AnarchoTyranny is better, the two enjoyed each other's company. For now, an armistace of convenience has been formed between their empires.
* His plans span decades and he has a galaxy full of enemies, but perhaps none of his opponents has a more personal grudge than the Skywalker lineage. Though Anakin accepts he's at fault for what he did as Vader[[note]]to the point [[IAmAMonster he felt he was irredeemable]] [[LoveRedeems before Luke]][[/note]] [[TheCorrupter Palpatine was still the devil on his shoulder]] and the most negative influence in his life. As he founded and embodies the tyranny of the Empire, Leia is second on the list of "those in the Skywalker family who hate Palpatine", what with being a key figure in the Rebel Alliance and his more indirect role in Ben's turn to the dark side. And they're just some of the more obvious examples. On a more general level he is the ArchEnemy to the Rebel Alliance and by extension the Resistance, who stand for the democractic principles he destroyed. This opposition led to the New Alliance of Free Stars joining the Rebels as the Galactic Empire is almost ''everything'' their [[TheAlliance alliance]] stands opposed to as well. Other interstellar [[SpacePolice law enforcement]], [[SpaceMarines marines]] and [[SuperheroesInSpace superheroes]] that advocate for freedom and oppose tyranny are considered enemies of the Empire by their very nature. On Palpatine's hit list are the Interstellar Alliance Advisory Board, The Federation of Starfleet, the Ultras, Zordon and the Power Rangers.
** Vader once stated "the Emperor is not as forgiving as I am", [[EvenEvilHasStandards which says a lot]]. In ''Legends'' his response to the Death Star designer letting a critical flaw lead to its destruction was to torture them to death, revive them and repeat five more times so he gets the message. But none of his ex-subordinates are more angry at Sidious than Maul and Dooku/Tyrannus. The latter was always meant to be a tool to replace Anakin with one day, and the former was abandoned and had his brother killed by Sidious personally. Indeed, Maul may hate his master more than he hates ''Kenobi'', [[BigBadWannabe which makes Palpatine laugh]]. After being betrayed and killed by Anakin on Palpatine's orders, Dooku has formed an EnemyMine with the Jedi...and the ascended Separatists have severed ties from Sidious [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness due to how Vader "took care of them"]].
** While [[VillainWithGoodPublicity he still played the beloved Chancellor role]] he manipulated Jar Jar Binks into granting him additional powers. While some [[MemeticPsychopath like to joke Jar Jar was a secret dark side ally]] (and some even speculate [[WhatCouldHaveBeen that was in the original script]]), the truth is Binks is angry at himself for letting Palpatine play him for a fool and Palpatine for betraying everyone's trust. At this point it says something that one of Palpatine's only remaining in-universe allies is Tarkin, who's passion and brutality [[KnightTemplar in the name of serving the Empire]] [[CompleteMonster is near to Palpatine himself in its evil]]. That said, with the reveal of [[TakingYouWithMe Operation Cinder]] even once loyal Imperials walk on eggshells working with Palpatine.
** Even Palpatine didn't come from nowhere, as he was trained as a Sith under Darth Plagueis. [[SchrodingersCanon The details are ambiguous in canon]], but [[Literature/DarthPlagueis in Legends]] Plagueis [[WeCanRuleTogether actually wanted them to stay a team]]. Of course Palpatine doesn't play second fiddle to anyone so he killed him in his sleep[[note]]"whip out the lightning while he's shit-faced" was less poetic[[/note]]. Palpatine [[MemeticMutation is fond of sitting down and asking if people have heard of the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis]]. Plagueis [[EvilHasABadSenseOfHumor called this "a bad joke"]] [[EvenEvilHasStandards like other things he's done]], only for Sidious to chuckle "[[DeadpanSnarker no, calling you The Wise was a bad joke]]".
** Palpatine's second and hopefully final death was delivered by his own granddaughter, and for good reason; among his many crimes [[OffingTheOffspring he had her parents killed]] for trying to hide her from him [[FamilialBodySnatcher trying to steal her body]]. The fact she chose being a Skywalker annoys him to no end. Given that Rey's father was only meant to be a clone body for him to jump into but gained a will of his own, absolutely no-one blames her. Having been raised by Sidious, [[AbusiveParents Maul wonders if Dathan was lucky]].
** On Palpatine's end, he considers his greatest enemy to be the oldest enemy of the Sith: the Jedi. Having almost destroyed their order, that feeling is mutual. Having come close to besting him in battle ([[AmbiguousSituation though how close is a matter of debate]]), Mace is rearing to finish the job. Yoda is another of Palpatine's arch-enemies, being his Light Side equal. However even many Sith before him disavow Palpatine. Though Zannah is amused by Palpatine's sadism and Bane has to admit he achieved the Sith's main goals, Bane is opposed to Palpatine's senseless, [[StupidEvil often self-defeating cruelty]] as his strongest virtue [[PragmaticVillainy is being pragmatic]]. On his end Palpatine regards Nihilus as a disgrace to the Sith because his only real goal is feeding his HorrorHunger, [[OmnicidalManiac even if that would kill everything]].
*** There's one old Sith that does like Palpatine, though: Tenebrae, also known as Vitiate, the Sith Emperor or Emperor Valkorion. This is mainly because they're the closest in personality to one another; both are [[CompleteMonster evil even by Sith standards]], seek absolute power and are pretty skilled at doing so. It's often debated which of the two is the ''true'' strongest Sith Lord, and as both want supreme power over everything they consider each other major rivals.
* As the archetype military dictator [[JustForFun/RecycledInSpace IN SPACE!]]. As such, he allies with proponents of authoritarianism like Emperor Mateus and M.Bison...[[ItsAllAboutMe though they're all equally self-absorbed]] so any friendship they have can be tossed aside. Personally Palpatine is more impressed by Big Brother (or more like rather the collective of INGSOC) for ensuring [[DystopiaJustifiesTheMeans a human boot will step on the face of their subjects forever]]...and without any superhuman abilities or advanced tech at that! An actual person/fascist he respects is Deathshed, who [[DayOfTheJackboot won his war of oppression]] and like the Sith Lord mainly operates from the shadows, using state of the art weapons and tech designs. The Red Skull sees Palpatine as a worthy Nazi, [[ANaziByAnyOtherName which the Emperor isn't surprised by]] and in turn finds the Skull a skilled operator that the Empire has. By contrast, he regards the Aryan Brotherhood's Nazi flavor as only useful [[PsychoForHire as disposable shock troopers]].
* As an iconic tyrant Palpatine also has many enemies who oppose him in a political level, such as Captain America who [[ThoseWackyNazis has seen fascism at his worst]], or Josiah Bartlet who stands for and represents democracy as Padme did. Others like Lelouch and Kamina have the same kind of spirit and drive that "[[YouRebelScum rebel scum]]". Outside of politics Gandalf regards him as a force of evil akin to "Sauron in human form". In Palpatine's defense he merely ''exploits'' the humanocentrism of the Empire, and he isn't just inspired by Adolf Hitler; he also takes influence from Napoleon and Augustus as "charismatic conquerors who subvert democracy". Augustus [[EveryoneHasStandards finds Palpatine cold-blooded]] but won't deny that he's absolutely cunning and politically intelligent...[[VillainRespect and Palpatine shares that sentiment]]. Napoleon is disturbed by Palpatine since he sees in him himself [[ShadowArchetype minus his ethics and integrity]], though won't deny [[SelfMadeMan he accomplished much through merit]].
* Biologically he's only a father in the sense of "one of his clones had a mind of their own and fled", though he was also a ParentalSubstitute of Maul and Anakin. [[AbusiveParents It's just that he was an awful father figure]]. Tellingly Ghetsis applauds his grooming and manipulation skills...admittedly because he wants in on the Imperial Court. The Emperor of Britannia and Emperor of Mankind [[EveryoneHasStandards deem him a worse parent and person than they could ever be]], though they're more rivals to the Sith Lord; For Charles, he wishes to master the Force instead to truly create "a world without lies", while Big E regards the Galactic Empire as an opponent to the Imperium of Man. Palpatine responded by saying [[NotSoDifferentRemark the Imperium of Mankind is just a theocratic version of his Empire]]...[[VillainHasAPoint which might be something the Jedi agree on for once]].
* The Emperor is unpopular with the House of Pantheon/{{Extraterrestrials}} due to [[FantasticRacism the Empire's humanocentrist views]], but Palpatine will ignore that if it benefits him-hence he chose to ally with King Cold and family. While he's a bit jealous they can [[EarthShatteringKaboom pull a Death Star]] [[PersonOfMassDestruction with their finger]], they've still come to respect the Emperor's efforts in military strategy and sheer intellect. They're also powerful aliens he can ''reason'' with. This is why he's privately afraid of the Daleks proving ''far'' persistent than he hoped, [[EvilVersusOblivion and they'd only leave a galaxy of the dead]]. The Combine are also problematic. Interestingly, Palpatine is a lot more confident dealing with the Daleks' ''creator'', Davros, mainly because [[EvilCripple of his physical situation]] and seeing in the Kaled a MadScientist version of himself. Davros himself would rather subvert the Galactic Empire for his own end[[note]]and ''maybe'' the Daleks when they're on the "friendly" side of their FriendlyEnemy dynamic[[/note]], but he does respect Palpatine as an opponent and as an EvilGenius.
* The Ur-Quan Kzer-Za are somewhat of a middle ground between "aliens reasonable enough to [[VillainTeamUp side with the Galactic Empire]]" and "aliens [[AbsoluteXenophobe who see no difference between the Empire and everything else]]". They believe other life forms should submit and actually see slavery as a good thing, believing that Palpatine has done some good steps for "readying" the galaxy...for them. Or as Palpatine has said, "they want all my stuff". Despite his similarities to Palpatine Megatron would rather compete with him for galactic dominance because [[FantasticRacism of a dim view on organics]] and [[DependingOnTheWriter sometimes]] [[EvenEvilHasStandards considering him TOO evil]]. The Emperor only laughs at his view on organics: he's a MasterOfAll in both Dark Side powers [[MasterSwordsman and lightsaber combat]] ''in base'', [[ComicBook/DarkEmpire and come]] [[Film/TheRiseOfSkywalker his resurrection]] [[HumanoidAbomination he's practically a nexus and manifestation of]] TheDarkSide. [[BadassBoast He isn't bluffing when he says he's all the Sith]]. Still, he wants even more power with is why he's been consorting with Tzeentch [[BastardUnderstudy and hopes to eventually replace him]]. Tzeentch knows this, [[VillainousFriendship but they enjoy each other's byzantine chessmaster skills]]. On the forces of Chaos as a whole, Palpatine sees it as "[[CrapsackWorld what if the Dark Side had no light side to oppose it?]]", [[PassionIsEvil which given the nature of Chaos is an accurate assessment]].
* While they haven't succeeded in the galactic ''empire'' business, Babidi and Thaal Sinestro have a plan to. Babidi's desire for power is simpler than [[ItsAllAboutMe even Palpatine's]], however Darth Sidious isn't dismissive of another evil and power-lusting mage, especially since he has the power to mind control people based off the darkness in their hearts. As such, he has convinced the alien to serve as a Dark Side adept...mainly to keep him on a tight leash. Sinestro is more concise in his goal: [[WellIntentionedExtremist he wants to ensure an ordered cosmos]] through the power of fear. Palpatine reached out a hand, commending him as having the better halves of Tarkin and Thrawn...only for Sinestro to respectfully decline as neither's ego can abide being subservient to each other. [[WorthyOpponent However they do respect each other's capabilities]], and its that pride alone that stops Palpatine from getting his hands on a Sinestro Corps Ring...[[TheDreaded for good reason]].
* Palpatine says [[AboveGoodAndEvil good is a point of view]], though that might be an excuse to act as evil as he likes [[CardCarryingVillain since he doesn't mind being called evil]]; he was ''always'' evil and [[SchrodingersCanon may]] [[Literature/DarthPlagueis have even]] killed his own family. Damien Thorn mused that this proves Palpatine [[TheAntiChrist is his equivalent in the Force]]. In turn Palpatine has taken quite the liking to the kid and would rather they be allies than rivals...[[ChronicBackstabbingDisorder for the time being]]. Even Lucas himself has described him as [[SatanicArchetype the Devil of Star Wars]]. He [[EvilFeelsGood enjoys the Dark Side so much]] that Iroque and the Phantom Thieves are one of only gods who he's unnerved by. He's the absolute tyrant that both the Indigo Tribe and the Phantom Thieves believe needs a severe HeelFaceBrainwashing, and Sheev considers what they would try to do to him[[note]]reduce him to an EmptyShell version of his Chancellor persona[[/note]] a FateWorseThanDeath.
* One of the other few beings that makes the Emperor nervous is Godzilla, due to his experience with [[NotZilla the Zillo Beast]]: the creature's rampage and inability to manipulate put him in a rare moment of vulnerability, and he regrets the mistake he made in bringing it to Coruscant. [[AdmiringTheAbomination At the same time he admires Godzilla]] because of its frightening power. He only regretted the Zillo Beast's escape, as he valued its power and wanted to clone the beast. He's interested in doing so to Godzilla, just from a distance. Another being he seeks the power of is the Venom Symbiote. The parasitic Symbiotes turn even a normal person into a OneManArmy at weakest, CivilizationDestroyer at strongest; imagine what Palpatine could do with them. Add in how easy they are to augment, [[ThePowerOfHate that they draw power from hatred]] and being attuned to the Darkness by nature, and you have a near-perfect source of power for Palpatine to draw from. However, Sidious feels he needs to use Sith Alchemy so his Symbiote would be completely compliant and an extension of himself.
* He is one of the most well-known [[GalacticConqueror galactic conquerors]], but not the only one. He boasts at being the best because unlike the other ascended conquerors he did not take over the galaxy through being a PersonOfMassDestruction or some grand military conquest, [[DayOfTheJackboot but by political manipulation of a democracy into a dictatorship]]. While not as politically focused, Thanos has proven as brilliant as he is powerful, which is why Palpatine sees him as a true WorthyOpponent. Also, he wants the Infinity Gauntlet as well: [[AchillesHeel even if it cannot be used in a universe it isn't native to]]; [[RealityWarper he could certainly have fun with one universe]]. Darkseid is a rival, though the Lord of Apokolips sees Palpatine as more a smaller scale version of himself. When the Emperor pointed out he disregarded the Infinity Gauntlet for not only being limited to the Marvel universe, Darkseid merely smirked with "[[BadassBoast why would Darkseid be concerned with]] ''one'' [[MultiversalConqueror universe?]]". [[WorthyOpponent Palpatine just smiled "good"]] at that. At some point he was also tipped off of [[Pantheon/MaximumSecurity about the Throne]]...and his jaw dropped realizing [[GodhoodSeeker he could not only become the defining principle of the Force with it]], [[BeyondTheImpossible but become GREATER than the Force]].
* Lucrezia Mongfish was surprised that someone as cunning as Palpatine "choked at the finish line" when it came to [[BodyBackupDrive cloning vessels]][[note]]one clone became his own person and wanted nothing to do with him, another [[BodyHorror wasn't able to physically withstand his spirit]][[/note]] and his attempt at being a FamilialBodySnatcher were a bigger failure. After all, she had more success with a lot less resources. However, she approves of [[AbusiveParents his parenting methods]] and brilliantly sinister mind. The two made a deal: she'll teach him how to refine the art of [[BodySnatcher body snatching]], and he'll teach her the mysteries of the Force. They're both [[TheSociopath sociopaths]] but [[VillainousFriendship they enjoy scheming together]] for universal conquest. However Palpatine wants to hedge his bets and has been researching more ways to prolong his life, hence the research into the Hall of Pantheon/FormsOfImmortality. Some of these endeavors include:
** Trying to locate the [[Franchise/{{Dragonball}} Dragonballs]] to wish for immortal life. In order to improve their relationship Frieza gave Palpatine some advice: immortality could very well lead to ''[[ImmortalityHurts never-ending misery]]''. As such, Palpatine has chosen his wishes carefully; he first wants to be immune to the decay of the Dark Side, then wish to be forever young. Finally, wish only he can use the Dragonballs and wait until they're usable again for both Instant Transmission, ability to ignore pain and THEN the CompleteImmortality will be his.
** His rivalry with Voldemort has led Palpatine to try and use the Dark Side to learn just ''how'' he can make horcruxes of his own. Unlike Voldemort he's a lot more ascetic and wouldn't make them obvious/meaningful trinkets (well, maybe one of them could be meaningful), and with the use of interstellar travel he would keep them as hidden and far apart as possible...assuming they can still work on interstellar distances, of course.
* There is one trait of Palpatine that's both not evil, and genuine; [[WickedCultured he is a patron of the arts]]; Thanos may be a rival, but he appreciates fine art and along with Frieza the Emperor like to debate the meaning of different works of art. The House of Theater and Spectacle is perhaps the one time [[VillainsOutShopping he acts polite and well-behaved]]. Palpatine on his end isn't fond of Naboo's grandiose art style, preferring more modest styles and minimalist works. He's also at his nicest [[WebAnimation/{{HowItShouldHaveEnded}} as the owner and bartender of]] [[BadGuyBar the Villain Pub]], in which many villains are commonly seen relaxing, complaining about heroes, or discussing various subjects. Again, not enough to be redeeming [[HiddenDepths but it shows]] he can be [[AffablyEvil genuinely affable]] once in a blue moon...or more cynically, it's a case of AdaptationalNiceGuy in effect[[note]]much as how he is ''slightly'' less vile in Canon than Legends[[/note]].
* Despite his hatred of the Prequel Trilogy Mr Plinkett is a big fan of Palpatine since he's one of the few things he liked about it: [[CardCarryingEvil Palpatine takes such delight in being pure evil]] [[LoveToHate he can't help but love that]]. While this is the general reason for Palpatine's fanbase, the fact [[SerialKiller this is Mr Plinkett saying this]] does make the Emperor wonder...One mortal he has taken a liking too is Barney Stinson, due to his RootingForTheEmpire tendencies, and rewarded him with a position as a minister of Imperial propaganda. The Galactic Emperor has also taken some ''WebVideo/GameTheory'' videos out of context for propaganda. However, in spite of this "friendship" [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness any friend or ally he has is considered disposable so long as they are no longer needed]]..[[ShootTheDangerousMinion or become a liability]]. Palpatine himself has an honorary position in the House of Pantheon/BetrayalAndTreachery, [[ArsonMurderAndAdmiration as he finds their activity amusing]]. He has a particular interest for King Arthas as he reminds him of Vader, and he thinks Starscream would be a worthy Sith...just not the apprentice he wants.
* Interestingly despite everything he still sees Vader as his favorite apprentice, if in a "most valuable object" sort of way. Before Mustafar, [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness Sidious boasted to Yoda that Vader would become more powerful than either of them]], and this has led him to be interested in Vader-esque deities who wholly dedicated themselves to evil instead of having the lingering regrets [[EvilCannotComprehendGood he failed to notice in time]]. He likes Lord Drakkon for playing the long game and wholly dedicating himself to the more metaphorical dark side, though he does criticize him for [[PsychopathicManchild bratty]]. Again, the idea of an irredeemable Vader is another reason why Sauron is a [[FriendlyRivalry friendly rival]]. He also likes The Batman Who Laughs for being a truly self-abased dark knight and FallenHero who wants to subject reality to his deranged desires, though he recognizes him as a bit ''too'' crazy for his current tastes. The Darkest Knight is personally fond of Sidious, but believes Palpatine's more ''[[HorrifyingTheHorror frightened]]'' of him than anything.
* Yes, his first name is Sheev. Jokes were made [[TomTheDarkLord over how "unimpressive" it is]]. Rather than get angry, [[TranquilFury a scowling Palpatine]] reminded people that [[MeaningfulName it is likely based off "Shiva"]] given the general Indian theme-naming found on Naboo. It also sounds like "shiv". He prefers it over his implied ''[[Franchise/StarWarsLegends Legends]]'' name of Cosinga, since it's the name of his father who he hated and [[{{Patricide}} was the very first person he murdered]][[note]]he killed some people with a speeder [[DrivesLikeCrazy but that counted as vehicular manslaughter]][[/note]]. Besides his political and Sith titles Palpatine [[MemeticMutation will sometimes go by]] [[IAmTheNoun The Senate]], [[NeverLiveItDown despite only saying it once]]. [[Memes/ThePhantomMenace He doesn't go by Frank though]], but when people think it's his first name [[ActuallyPrettyFunny he does smirk a little]].

* Special Relationship with: [[Pantheon/VillainousCounterparts Jeanne d'Arc Alter]]
* Raised as a simple farmer's daughter, Jeanne supposedly heard the voice of God to defend France against England. Heeding that voice, Jeanne joined the French army at a young age, leading the front as their flag bearer. Never once wavering in battle as she led her men to victory even when she was shot by two arrows in one of her battles, she was an inspiration to her troops. Unfortunately, Jeanne was finally captured, tried as a witch, and burned at the stake. It wouldn't be until years later that the ruling would be overturned and she be recognized as a Saint. Afterwards, because of her deeds, it inspired a specific type of character of a young woman who goes into battle for either her country, faith, or ideals and who is trying to liberate her people of oppression, becoming the TropeNamer and codifier of the JeanneDArchetype itself.
* As mentioned before, Jeanne's claim of hearing God's voice is met with suspicion by many of the other deities. Some believe she's just mentally ill and those voices were only in her head. Whatever the case, all still agree that Joan is still a capable fighter and garners nothing but respect.
** Others believe that ''God's Voice'' was actually Kyubey himself who gave Jeanne her power and made her a Puella Magi. Jeanne denies such a claim that her powers would come from a cosmic weasel like him and has nothing but contempt for him because of his manipulation of young girls to become magical girls and in turn [[spoiler: becoming witches]].
** Some discoveries, however, have revealed that [[spoiler:there is an alternate version of Jeanne who became a magical girl due to a contract with a creature named Cube. Moreover, this version of Jeanne learns that she will eventually become a witch early on and accepts the fact without falling into despair]]. Jeanne decided to follow this new discovery closely, [[ForegoneConclusion though she already knows how it will end]].
* Is in a very peculiar crossroad when it comes to both Cosmos and YHVH; for the former, she has nothing but respect for the leader of the GUAG and is welcome in the Sacred Knights. But for the latter, he is the Great Will that she still worships as her God and would go into battle if he commands it. However, despite these conflicting loyalties, Jeanne was able to be put in both the GUAG ''and'' the GUAL. Even more shocking was that YHVH ''allowed'' Jeanne to be part of Cosmos's army. Because of this odd situation, members of both the GUAG and GUAL are suspicious of Jeanne being a spy for the other Alliance.
** Her opinions on Melkor and Lucifer are nothing but negative; she hates the former for spreading evil and enslaving it's people and despise the later because of his [[spoiler:tempting of Homura Akemi and causing her fall]].
* Astolfo was the first to welcome Jeanne in the Pantheon, giving her a hug. While Jeanne was happy to see the youthful paladin, a part of her feels envious that he has more followers then she. Jeanne has been considering wearing a bikini to attract more followers.
** Alternatively, she's been spreading her legend to many of the Japanese Deities who are willing to listen to her.
* Was stunned when she first met Arturia Pendragon. Not only for their faces looking quite similar or that the two [[Creator/KariWahlgren sound the same]], but also living somewhat identical lives. It was a surprise to the French woman that she would find an ally in an English woman.
** She also found more women like her in Sophitia Alexandria and Lightning, who to were compelled by God to save the world. She was also impressed with Erza Scarlet's own backstory of leading her fellow slaves for freedom, which had plenty of parallels to her own life.
* Jeanne heard that there was a male who shared her name, and found that person in Jaune Arc. She couldn't help by smile at the young man's dedication to be a genuine hero, and so decided to help the young lad with training along with his teammate [[Pantheon/BladedWeapons Pyrrha]].
* Amazingly enough, Jeanne has zero proficiently in riding. This is despite her legend making her qualify for the Saber class, who are well known to be great riders. Lightning is trying to fix that by having her ride some of the Chocobos. Let's say the experience is comical at best.
** She is also known to be mathematically challenged and illiterate. The latter was even used against her in her witch trial. She has since enlisted the help of many of ascended teachers of the Pantheon (and thus enrolling in the Elysium Academy) to teach her math and reading.
* While Jeanne is well known to have never killed a person in battle, that doesn't mean she wouldn't order an entire town to be massacred if they didn't surrender to her army. This fact was a shock to many Gods, as they had never heard that part of her legend.
* After her ascension, Jeanne was revealed to possess [[VideoGame/PuzzleAndDragons actual Holy]] [[HolyHandGrenade Light power]], making her very deadly to many of the evil-aligned Gods. She also has the ability to summon literal dragon knights to assist her.
* There has been rumors that Jeanne actually possessed [[Comicbook/{{Witchblade}} a mystic gauntlet]] that she used to [[VideoGame/JeanneDArc fight evil demons]] in France. While it hasn't been confirmed, the Witchblade has responded to Jeanne's presence multiple times.
* Absolutely hates Charles zi Britannia, reasons being that his conquering of other nations reminds her of the Englishmen who tried to conquer France. She also found his [[AirstripOne renaming any conquered people with a number]] degrading.
** Incidently, Jeanne made a rival with C.C. after the former mistook her for a Jeanne d'Arc in her past that caused her to be burned at the stake.
* Doesn't actually fight with her sword. Instead, she used her iconic banner, ''Luminosite Eternelle'', to do battle, using it like a spear, but never spilling any blood. However, when the tide of battle is truly dire, she would use her holy sword, ''La Pucelle'', which can emit giant flames. Those flames actually represent her burning at the cross, and once activated, Jeanne would lose her life, and would later have to be revived at the House of Life and Death.
* As shown in her profile, Jeanne is a very odd member of the GUAL; she takes orders from YHVH, but despises most other members of the GUAL. She thinks Frollo is a disgrace to the cloth and hates how he uses God's name to meet his own perverse agenda. She sees Regime Superman as a disgrace towards the actual [[Pantheon/{{Heroism}} Superman]], whom Jeanne looks up to as a inspiration to men's will. Pretty much the only people she can work with are Alexander Anderson and Metatron, and even that is complicated based on their personality.
** Speaking of Anderson, compared to him, Jeanne has no problem with other religions as long as they love Gods. This actually makes her allies to both Asia and Xenovia, two Devils who still love God and pray to him, and Jeanne has sparred with the latter. This has made Jeanne even more distant to many of the religious-frenzied members of the GUAL and more at home with the GUAG.
* At least some Gods are convinced that Jeanne isn't in the right mind for associating with YHVH. There are rumors that maybe YHVH is mind-controlling Jeanne to be part of the GUAL. Astolfo and a few others are convinced of these rumors and has set out to find out if it's true.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQx1sqPHTrk Once had a rap battle against Miley Cyrus]]. [[spoiler:It was decided that Jeanne won]].
* Also has a seat in Pantheon/RealAndLegendaryPastiches.

* With a loud fanfare and a parade of Waddle Dees, King Dedede was carried towards the Pantheon on a palanquin held by two of his Waddle Dee subjects. Demanding his right as King and Ruler of Dreamland to be allowed into the Pantheon and take his seat in the House of Royalty, Dedede was led before the Court of Gods. His ego, however, was burst when the Judge reviewed his case and proclaimed that he was never officially given the authority to rule over Dreamland and therefore not allowed into the House of Royalty. Adding insult to injury, the Judge instead led him to the House of Leadership as the God of Unofficial Rulers.
** Even there, the "King" likes to show-off his authority with his temple (or palace, as he prefers to call it) being the fanciest of them all. Most of the other deities there don't pay him attention or humor him just to leave them alone.
* Even though he was a villain the first time he fought Kirby, their enmity has mellowed over the years. Dedede even hugged the little puffball where he came running over to greet him. However, he applied a little pressure to make it a bear hug and he gave a sly smirk. Some things never change.
* On his arrival, Kirby and Dedede initiated one of their favorite activities that same day: the Gourmet Race. However, word of the free-for-all eating race reached some well-known big eater deities and they crashed the race. The Dreamlanders didn't feel upset and even enjoyed the extra competition. In the end, it was a three-way tie between Kirby, Pac-Man and Goku for first place, Toriko and Luffy together for second, and Dedede in third place. The King didn't feel too bad about his loss as other entries like Murray, Index, Shaggy and Scooby-Doo had yet to even reach the finish line.
** Having met many who share the same passion of eating such as he, he set aside a special table within the House of Food for his "Gourmet Racer Club" composed of all the racers who attended the first Pantheon Gourmet Race. Chairman Kaga and his apprentices appreciate this since it allows them to be in one place for a continous buffet and leave enough food for the other gods.
*** Due to the rich amount of food available, however, many have tried to bribe their way to this special table, only to be rejected or pushed away by the Waddle Dees blocking access. Jabba the Hutt tried to muscle in only to be kicked out after displaying his [[JabbaTableManners legendary dining etiquette]]. Furious, the slug is plotting to take over the club table for himself.
* Dedede and Wreck-It Ralph really hit it off and he was even invited to a Bad-Guy Anon meeting where he received a standing ovation to what it means to be a video game villain. Even though they are friends, Ralph doesn't allow the King to visit Sugar Rush on account that his appetite will get the better of him and he has little self-control, compared to Kirby.
* Having a penguin appearance, [[Pantheon/{{Birds}} Skipper and his men]] tried to take over his position for some reason. The King responded with one mighty swing of his hammer that sent them flying.
* Some gods are confused on how to pronounce his name. Some of the Comic Book and Western-based deities pronounce it "Dee-dee-dee", whereas the Anime and Eastern-based gods prefer "Day-Day-Day". The King himself simply shrugs.
* Whenever Dedede feels exceptionally lazy, he sends a squad of Waddle Dees to run errands for him within the Pantheon. Harming them, though, is not a good idea as Dedede himself is exceptionally protective of them. Then again, he wouldn't hesitate to launch a few of them at his foes or smack a few of them around when they displease him.
** One day when Dedede sent a squad of Waddle-Dees to deliver some letters for his club members, Jinx saw them and decided to use them for target practice. The second the first bomb hit a Waddle-Dee, the King instantly arrived with a mighty Dedede Jump and went berserk on the Loose Cannon. Only with the arrival of Vi and several members of the nearby Combat Dojo was the fight broken up. Dedede, however, made sure she hasn't seen the last of him. "You can't be mean to my Waddle-Dees! Only ''I'' can be mean to my Waddle-Dees!"
* Tabuu LOATHES the king since it is because of the king's special badges that revived him, [[Pantheon/{{Unpopularity}} Luigi]] and [[Pantheon/HeroicArchetypes Ness]] from permanent statue-fication, rescuing the other Smashers in what was known as "The Subspace Emissary". The king's response to seeing Tabuu? Firing up his mask and jet hammer, along with a Smash Ball, and proceeded to wail on him.
* Has a somewhat of a bad habit of being a subject of DemonicPossession. This annoys him a bit as not only is it annoying when it happens, but also because there are many who cannot take him seriously when good potion of his fights against Kirby were against his own will.
* Has tried using a battle axe instead of a hammer after it turned out he was far more threatening with it, [[spoiler:but that seemed to be because of yet another case of DemonicPossession]]. He's since gone back to using the hammer, finding it far more comfortable. Time will tell if he actually decides to train with it.
* [[Pantheon/OtherWeaponTropes Big Bull]] has been seen conversing with King Dedede, impressed with his jet hammer. They've agreed to have a jet hammer duel in the near future.
* Some gods are even surprised to hear that Dedede can [[Creator/KenichiOgata occasionally]] [[Creator/TedLewis speak actual dialogue]].
* While Dedede has always had some amount of StoutStrength in order to wield his mallet, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1t5YW-RThJw he can apparently put on a staggering amount of bulk if he chooses to]].
* As [[WebAnimation/DeathBattle Wiz and Boomstick]] proved when they pit Dedede against Wario, Dedede is actually a ''lot'' more dangerous than most people give him credit for. Like Kirby his rank of Intermediate god doesn't really do justice to just how strong and how ''durable'' the greedy king is. Consider in a vortex all the feats of durability, speed, and power that Kirby can show off and then consider that Dedede can keep an even pace with Kirby in all circumstances, and you start to get a good idea of just how dangerous Dedede is... which is thankfully reigned in by how lazy he is.
* With their self-appointed rise to dominion over the Hee-Horde, King Frost's ascension was something that quickly caught the eye of Dedede. At first, the penguin was mainly considered that King Frost would attempt to oust his position as the pantheon's leading self-appointed monarch. Approaching King Frost himself to assert himself, King Dedede first resorted to brutish name-calling and flimsy demands in order to get his point across, hoping to intimidate the group enough into standing his ground. However, instead of getting upset or ignoring them entirely, King Frost was actually impressed by the penguin's gall to stand up to them. Seeing a bit of himself within the fellow ruler, what started as a confrontation turned into a boasting match between the two rulers, bragging about their feats and accomplishments to each other in hopes to being seen as the better man. This match ended with both monarchs unexpectedly enjoying each other's company in the midsts of throwing shade, allowing for a friendship between the two rulers to blossom. As a fellow decently well-mannered king of monsters, Mount Ebbot's own monarch was delighted in seeing a growing friendship among them. In Asgore's mind, he sees the friendship between this groups as a chance for reformist ideals to develop in both kingdoms' domains, injecting himself into the two rulers' communion to encourage this positive growth.
* Knowing what being {{Brainwashed}} feels like, Dedede, despite everything Mina Loveberry has done, came to pity her. He firmly believes that had she not become BrainwashedAndCrazy and volunteered to become a SuperSoldier, she would be a much nicer and better person. Dedede blames Solaria for this, though he does know the former queen is disappointed in what Mina ended up becoming.

* Ambiguous Relationship: [[Pantheon/{{Metafiction}} The Oni]]
* The Dark Army is something that hardly anyone knows exists, and to those who do know of its existence, it's shown to be a massively organized and highly effective group of hackers. But even this is just ''slightly'' scratching the surface; The Dark Army is, in reality, a gigantic organizational network that has secretly had its hands and influence wrapped around on just about anything it could grasp, ranging from world governments, law enforcement, businesses, the general and digital media, all the way to domestic jobs, and even then, the full extent of its impact is a mystery. The Dark Army is incredibly secretive; members are expected to dress up with oni masks to conceal their identities and communications usually being done in cutouts or through internet-relay-chats. With its secrecy, aggressive, yet unfailingly loyal leadership, and its ever-increasing scale of resources, the Dark Army quickly grew to become a collective that was able to rival, or perhaps even, overpower a world superpower in influence, power, and threat.
** In reality, the Dark Army is based in China, led by a mysterious, yet feared figure known only as "Whiterose", who publicly masquerades as Zhi Zhang, the Minister of Security for China, allowing her to easily immerse herself in the world and field of politics, where she can gather whatever intel she needs to implement them into the Dark Army's plans and their growing assets and supplies. They will do whatever they can to achieve whatever agenda they have, even if it means emotional extortion, blackmailing, carrying out terrorist attacks around the globe, and many other heinous acts and will [[BetterToDieThanBeKilled promptly kill themselves]] if they're either failing a task or they're becoming a loose end in which case, they will ensure they will keep the Dark Army's goals a secret. Ultimately, the Dark Army is a subsidiary front to the Deus Group, an investment group composed of the richest, most influential, and powerful men in the globe, gathered together since the fall of the Soviet Union to create global conflicts to generate and maintain their own profit, having started the First Gulf War and playing a role in the creation of the Internet.
* How and when did the Dark Army find its way into the Pantheon is a mystery. The last detailed recordings stated that the Deus Group and Whiterose's social standing and authority were thwarted by the efforts of a vigilante hacker named Elliot Alderson and a group of supporters and allies, with Whiterose committing suicide after being unable to coerce Elliot into understanding why she went to such lengths to achieve her own personal goals; to invest her resources on a personal project that would allow her to enter what she thinks is an alternate reality where she can be reunited with her lost love, Chen, who committed suicide due to being unable to remain together with Whiterose, whilst also being scheduled to be sent away to an ArrangedMarriage and being unable to be in a homosexual relationship, given that the world back in 1982 had a homophobic mindset.
** The Pantheon is largely unaware of the Dark Army and this has been a point of contention for numerous members, good ''and'' evil. Many have never even heard of an organization like a large group of hackers who have ties to nearly every elite-class occupation and have their fingers pressed towards the world's leading political and military institutions. And those that are familiar with them in some shape or form are outright ''terrified'' of them, most of all those like Elliot, who have had to deal with the Dark Army personally and who have been the architect of many of the miseries and misfortunes that he had been through. It's bad enough that this is an organization that is unscrupulous and ruthless in their approach, but to carry a gigantic wealth of supplies and resources, being backed by the law and politics via manipulation and having a presence in damn near ''every single place'', on top of them being more than willing to [[AndYourLittleDogToo target loved ones if their enemies and victims to not comply to them]] makes the Dark Army one of the most dangerous and feared establishments in the entire Pantheon. Additionally, Whiterose also made sure to covertly bring along the Deus Group as the Dark Army's heralds. Now, having learned of the Pantheon's fantastical nature, Whiterose intends on buying and obtaining the best possible tech with which she can amplify her technological prowess and defenses to an uncharted level compared to her home universe and recreate her project in the hopes of finally seeing Chen again.
* Whiterose, the leader of the organization, would normally pose as Zhi Zhang in the Pantheon. Taking notes from other notable figures, she has worked hard in rebuilding and reestablishing herself as a credible politician and national personality, eventually managing to score a position in the House of Pantheon/{{Cultures}} as a new Minister of Security in that regard. Carefully, she has cultivated the image as a philanthropical and steadfast leader and overseer in bilateral relations in the Pantheon and communicating with different Houses as a way of outwardly bolstering public appeal. In reality, it's a play to further apply her influence so that she can gain more followers and the Dark Army can swarm their way into asserting their authority and intimidation onto others whenever it feels convenient.
** Whiterose's prominence and influence in the House of Cultures has also allowed her to branch out and further popularize Chinese cultural norms and items, complete with historical accuracy and detail being emphasized in the matter. This has helped her in gaining more critical attention and praise in a daring and successful attempt in increasing the knowledge and respect of foreign traditions and further promoting and popularizing the need of preserving national cultures and ethics. That said, while this is a manipulable plot on Whiterose's behalf, there is some degree of genuine appreciation towards the arts and crafts of his native China, hance his most personal domain tends to be decorated with ancient Chinese antiques, arts, and clothing.
* Whiterose's ultimate goals would be assumed to have her reach out to the House of Pantheon/LoveAndAffection, and as Zhi Zhang, he is able to seamlessly enter the House without much of an issue and profess his story about his relationship with Chen, which allowed him to generate a decent amount of sympathy and regards to his angst. Of course, Whiterose is fully aware that the House of Love and Affection are largely unaware of the Dark Army and her own true identity, and would certainly oppose them if they ever learned about it.
* With the Deus Group back in her grasp, Whiterose made a plan to attract deities who had strong ties to politics, businesses, and societal and cultural impact, knowing that these figures, who are wholly new to what she plans and intends for would be excellent benefactors in promoting and enhancing her plans, willingly or unwillingly. She made contact with such figures as Frank Underwood, Lex Luthor, and Wilson Fisk, all of whom desire control, dominance, and fame above all else. The fact that Whiterose can provide the three with a near-endless supply of arms and supplies for their criminal activities and their interests has benefitted them greatly, alongside being renowned visitors to many elite galas and meetings. The fact that the three, especially Frank and Lex, have their own ulterior motives, haven't been unnoticed by Whiterose and, if anything, she's prepared for a series of backup plans in case she is double-crossed. And even if they somehow figure out a way to outgamble her, Whiterose isn't giving up on her goals and will attempt to pay back her aggressors ''hard''. On the other hand, she found herself being opposed by Bruce Wayne, a billionaire playboy from Gotham City who refused to partner up with the Dark Army. Though this has to do with the fact that Bruce is secretly Batman, and is one of the few beings who are aware of the danger and influence the Dark Army represents and aims to dismantle the group in some way after learning about it via Elliot.
* Whiterose has also sought to find more personal allies, more specifically, those who have gone through a similar loss as she did. She found success in this regard when Whiterose met Nox, Artorius Collbrande, and Raul Menendez, figures who have opposed heroes and were primarily driven by losing someone they loved due to awful external circumstances. Nox, Artorius, and Raul were among the few to learn about the true extent of Whiterose's end-goal, and this is what propelled the three to a mutual agreement; the idea of a parallel world where they were potentially happy and at peace with whom they love, particularly Nox's family, Artorius's wife, Celica, and their unborn son, and Menedez's family, especially his sister, Josefina, which meant that they never would have become the villains that they were now, either in their home universe and in the Pantheon. Of all of them, Menendez does intend to seek revenge anyway, though Whiterose has told him to be more careful about clouding his mind too much into vengeance. She does need Menedez to not become too much of a liability after all. Whiterose, however, is not on good terms with Pegasus J. Crawford; while he was motivated by the loss of his love and was driven mad by it, he's since rebounded and has aimed to do better, which includes refusing to be associated with the Dark Army by any means and sticking up to what he believes is right and just.
** While they were also motivated mainly by personal loss, [[Franchise/{{Injustice}} a Superman from a certain alternate universe]] and Madara Uchiha proved to be exceptions. They were among the few to learn about the Dark Army, but decided to refrain from working with them; both of them expressed that they can only rely upon themselves or with a trusted partner about their end goals and that the Dark Army's extreme need for surveillance and intimidation would mean that they would be hampered greatly by their demands and schedule, something which Regime Superman and Madars were not on board with, even if they admitted that their ambitions were similar to what Whiterose wanted and that if they want peace and reunion, they will accomplish it on their own. Whiterose has since felt displeased by their perspective on things, given how she felt that Regime Superman and Madara would have made for potential allies or at least someone who could have fitted in with her plans. This doesn't stop Whiterose from planning on setting up the two for one of her future plans though.
* Of all the major alliances, Whiterose personally chose to align herself with the Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfChaos, primarily because it was the one faction whose major goals revolved on freedom and individuality, something which Whiterose herself desired she could have had alongside her lover, Chen, back in 1982. The Dark Army's association with the GUAC has since made the latter become more resourceful and backed up by political and business connections than it ever was before, along with bringing along a militant hacking and spying subsidiary that has made the GUAC all the more powerful and dangerous. With her obsession with time and her twisted association with ''Love'', Whiterose was offered to work with the GUAC. She is primarily the main business and political benefactor to the alliance, the latter of which she shares with [[Pantheon/{{Politicians}} Steven Armstrong]] and she has since helped the GUAC to branch out to a more commercial and political part of the Pantheon. To the fear of many, very few of those outside the GUAC's high membership of aware of Whiterose's affiliation.
** On an extended note, Whiterose and the Dark Army's influence has managed to reach it's mark on nearly every major alliance in the Pantheon, including [[Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfGood Good]], [[Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfEvil Evil]], [[Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfLaw Law]], [[[[Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfMachines Machines]], [[Pantheon/HouseUprisings Nature]], with members supposedly expressing support anonymously whilst leeching off of their resources to gain it for themselves and setting up spy networking and hidden surveillances towards them that have proven to be very difficult to notice. One of the main exceptions, however, was the Pantheon/GrandUnitedAllianceOfDestruction, given that most of its members only desired destruction above all else and that this was simply impractical and obstructive for the Dark Army and their agendas. The feeling is mutual, for the GUAD's members who are aware of the Dark Army's presence seeing them as either a nuisance or a threat at most.
* Unbeknownst to most people, The Dark Army has bought a lot of weapons and military gear and arms in the Houses of Pantheon/{{Weapons}} and Pantheon/MilitaryAndWarfare. Part of the elusiveness behind this is mainly to do with how the Dark Army members are able to buy off what they seek alongside Whiterose using his political status to be on good graces with the two Houses. At the same time, she has been careful and methodical about her buys and the level of resources she has stockpiled; she's aware that taking ''too much'' will eventually be noticed and that would end up being a large red flag. Not to mention the amount of uproar she would be generating if word got out of mouth from it. That said, she does commend the amount of care and attention that is given to the equipment stashed there and also admires how they're also put to use and then judges with the most careful considerations and recommendations possible. It's because of these that Whiterose decided that the Houses of Weapons and Military and Warfare were two that she needed a great interest on, as well as ones that she would need a good deal of reliance on.
* Irving is one of the Dark Army's lieutenants. He presents himself in a sophisticated, polite, and approachable manner and would guide his visitors to his interests and goals whenever it feels convenient. However, as affable as he is, he will spin up a plethora of falsified facts and stories about himself in an effort to have his audience keep up with their interest in him, and generally, he does a great job in doing what he's told to do. And if he has to get violent, [[AxCrazy he's not light in the slightest bit and out comes a psychopathic butcher]]. This combination of being able to blend in with society, do everything letter-by-letter without fail, and be convincingly intimidating makes Irving one of the most reliable and competent members of an already feared and effective organization that operates behind closed doors.
** However, Irving has since left the Dark Army, having gotten bored of them, and with Whiterose having lost and her plans being ruined, there's really no point in going back. The fact that Irving entered the Pantheon via his formerly close ties to the Dark Army was something he found rather amusing. He spends his free time writing erotica books either in his personal domain or in the House of Pantheon/{{Knowledge}}. Said books tend to be self-inserts with Irving himself as a character and he's also dedicated his time in promoting them in different places. His current book at the moment is ''Beach Towel''. Or he would attend the House of Pantheon/{{Food}} searching for any restaurants that serve [[TrademarkFavoriteFood barbecue ribs]] as the Pantheon is yet to have a Red Wheelbarrow established somewhere.
* Among the Dark Army's ranks is a man only known as "León". Initially posing as a person who is a stereotypical stoner and expressed interest towards Elliot in their first encounter, he quickly turned out to be a ruthless killer and informant who is not afraid to get his hands dirty whenever advised. However, his interest towards Elliot is instead friendly and amiable, and would sometimes try to stick with him to provide Elliot with some kind of inspirational and philosophical quotes and meanings and to personally protect him from whatever threat he comes across. While this is partially because the Dark Army has instructed León that Elliot is someone that they would need for their own purposes, León genuinely sees him as a friend. It's already twisted enough, given who he is working with, but the fact that he was also partially responsible of the staged suicide between fsociety members and Elliot's supporters, Mobley and Trenton, makes things even murkier than what people think of, which was already extreme enough.
** Like Irving, León has left the Dark Army since its collapse and Whiterose's failure to go along with her plan, now acting as a freelance agent. Likewise, he's the only member to be on good terms with Elliot and his friends and spends his own free time musing about philosophy and in-depth context and meanings behind films like ''Series/KnightRider''. The Pantheon had been an interesting experience for him, namely the fact that fiction becomes reality, which León was briefly taken aback on. He was happy to learn that Elliot made it there first and would often make the effort to visit him from time to time and to provide protection in case Elliot is threatened by someone. Otherwise, León would like to explore the Pantheon and discover his interests there, particularly waiting for ''Knight Rider'' protagonist, Michael Knight, to ascend alongside his sentient car, K.I.T.T., so he can meet them one day. More often than not, León lounges in the House of Pantheon/{{Philosophy}} out of interest and wanting to learn more about the topic. His presence sticks out, if mainly because outwardly, he doesn't seem the kind of guy to be into Philosophy, though León personally doesn't mind.
* Janice is another elite member of the Dark Army. Unlike Irving and León, any sort of politeness and easygoing nature Janice conveys is [[FauxAffablyEvil nothing but a facade meant to blend into society]] and she is easily the most depraved and sadistic member of the Dark Army, so much so that even Irving, someone who would gleefully butcher someone to death partly for his own amusement and partly to make a point and intimidate someone into servitude, thinks she is abhorrent and disgusting. She is the only recognized member of the Dark Army to still be in ranks upon her arrival in the Pantheon, though this may be because she was one up until the end of her life when she was shot in the head by Dom [=DiPierro=], after Janice had mentally tortured and trapped her under the threat of killing her family or Darlene if she dared to defer from her forced role as a Dark Army mole. What's especially frightening is that hardly anyone in the Pantheon could recognize Janice as the vile scumbag she truly is, given her outwardly jovial and excitable demeanor.
** There's also Janice's professional job as a taxidermist which, if anything, [[TaxidermyIsCreepy further highlights just how messed up she is as an individual]]. Unfortunately, the Pantheon has made Janice interested in wanting sculpts and decorations built from the skinned corpses of whatever fantastical animal or creature she learns about it, and she intends to do this as she's aware that such creatures would be highly profitable and would allow the Dark Army to gain an additional amount of arms for their cause. That said, and in spite of the fact that she gleefully enjoys the occupation that is given to her, Janice is not in line with Whiterose's goal, she simply wants to torment her captors and victims as long as she can. And whether she's going to have to kill a collection of beasts for her taxidermy collection or silently picking, killing, and/or forcibly forcing cops into her services out of her own stress and anger in being killed off, Janice is not going to let off on her position.
* It's not a surprise that they are absolutely feared by the House of Pantheon/MachineryAndTechnology; beyond the fact that a majority of its members are skilled hackers who are all too willing to extort and blackmail those they capture into their servitude as moles, they will also kill and commit acts of terrorism if it means tying up any sort of loose ends. The last time they did that, they perpetrated the worst terrorist attack in the United States since 9/11, blowing up 71 office buildings simultaneously [[HopeSpot after Elliot has supposedly stopped Stage 3]]. Aiden Pearce and the San Francisco [=DedSec=] are fervently opposed to the Dark Army but have themselves felt rather hesitant in combating against them, given that while they have dealt with villainous hackers and corrupt businessmen before, the Dark Army's massive military and political backing alongside possessing a wealth of sophisticated technology, both contemporary and fantastical now that they're in the Pantheon, meant that Aiden and the SFDS are going to be needing more help than they ever could if they hope to combat against the Dark Army.
** One hacker that they were able to coerce into their aid is Sombra, who was offered a massive paycheck if she was to help the Dark Army for their cause. With the prize being pretty generous, Sombra has since taken a stance in working with the Dark Army from time to time, although Whiterose has made it clear that Sombra will have to be immediately responsive to whatever objectives she receives or else she would be in serious trouble. Sombra normally brushed it aside, that is until she learned about the true extent of how much the higher ranks will push in an attempt to force their victims and enemies into suddenly working for them under the threat of killing their loved ones. Sombra was taken aback, but at the same time, she saw why the Dark Army was so effective, to begin with, and has since been very cooperative towards Whiterose, albeit in a mixed sense of loyalty and fear, something which Whiterose has noticed rather early.
** Of course, some Houses do know bits and pieces about the Dark Army and have done the most they can to put as much distance from them as far away as possible. It's a telling sign of just how formidable the Dark Army is, for while they don't have literal god-like power, they can certainly destabilize entire leaderships, corporations, and organizations if they feel the need to and somehow find a way to integrate them into their working operations. So far, the Houses of Pantheon/{{Commerce}}, Pantheon/JobsAndProfession, Pantheon/LawAndJustice, Pantheon/{{Leadership}}, and Pantheon/TimeAndTemporality have officiated a warning sign and most of this is only based on small bits of information and circumstantial evidence. And the fact that [[ParanoiaFuel operatives can be just about anywhere, even in those wary houses furthers the tension and animosity, alongside Whiterose, as Zhi Zhang, making casual public appearances in those Houses]].
* One of the few organizations as elusive as the Dark Army is the SCP Foundation, who instead of leading a hacker collective with political, business, and military ties, is instead a collective of scientists and agents assigned to contain paranormal and fantastical creatures and beings of unknown origins and keep their existence classified so that they could ensure they don't pose a threat to society as a whole. Both organizations don't really get along; the Dark Army is too hesitant to consider working with someone who works on the paranormal and Whiterose personally thinks that they're not exactly helpful in furthering her goals, whereas while the Dark Army is largely unknown to most of the SCP's staff members, those who are aware of it have been rather superstitious about their presence and sincerely hope the Dark Army suddenly doesn't show up and forcibly take over their operations.
** HYDRA, a possible remnant of Nazi Germany is also largely kept a secret mainly due to its notorious reputation since its inception in World War II. Whiterose has personally refused to indulge in working with HYDRA, figuring that attempting to strike a working relationship, let alone a friendly partnership with a Nazi-inspired regime would do too much economical damage to the Dark Army in the long run and instead would look into more open and considerate operations and conglomerates with which she can collaborate with. HYDRA, however, thinks the Dark Army would have made for a great alliance and has since tried to get back on them, mainly because they feel that defeating and taking over the Dark Army would mean collecting whatever they have on hold, which is a lot. However, Whiterose believes that even if this comes to pass, HYDRA wouldn't be able to hold on to it for long as their resources would be wasted either on fighting or by the Dark Army cutting off contact with an organization upon finding out that they're dealing with something that has ties to Nazis.
** The Vex was a peculiar topic for Whiterose; after all, they were a race of hive-minded radiolarian fluids in mechanical bodies that were dedicated to forcing everyone into a reality in their own perspective and had a tight grip and control over time and space. Further information, which revealed that the Vex were beings that existed before the universe and were the "Pattern" that asserted dominance over every living organism, in reality, Whiterose has since mused on how their technology can be further instrumental for her goals of projecting and leading others, most prominently herself, into an alternate reality of their own choosing. However, given the Vex's hostile nature towards most beings and their immense powers, Whiterose and the Dark Army have refrained from engaging them directly, instead choosing to find a way to hijack and/or manipulate them in some capacity and gaining what they could from them.
* The Dark Army represents themselves with the symbol of an oni mask in red and black, a symbol of ancient fear and intimidation, which fits their mystique and reputation. That said, they don't really have much to comment on about the Ao Oni, although there is some interest in that it pops out of black borders and text boxes. The Dark Army has decided not to take the route of the Pantheon/GUAETrollkaiger and rampantly use the Ao Oni out of random attacks and violent pranks as they feel it would be a liability to them. A more traditional enmity comes from Momotaro, a boy [[BornFromPlants who was born in a supremely bizarre fashion]], who sometimes confuses the masked operatives as Onis. That said, even if he eventually realized they were actually human, Momotaro, with some convincing, then took to seeing them as Onis in a figurative sense, which is given thanks to the Dark Army operatives' vicious and malicious approach and demeanor in their job.
