4	Considering the sheer variety of everything that happens to the assorted victims shown throughout the course of the show, there's bound to be quite a few disturbing situations and ways to die. As this section mostly features causes of death, '''ALL SPOILERS ARE UNMARKED'''.

7	* 'The Girl in the Fridge'. The victim was hogtied and suffered increasingly worse pain because she couldn't turn over. And all the killers did was keep her quiet by giving her more and more drugs until she died. Then her body was stuffed into a refrigerator and dumped.
8	* The murders of the girls in "Two Bodies in the Lab" - torn apart by dogs, amongst other unpleasant things. And the fact that it could have been Bones' fate at the end if Booth hadn't showed up.
9	* "The Man in the Cell": Howard Epps set the fireman who tried to save him on fire, and sawed off the head of his ex-wife. ''While they were still alive''.
10	* The entire Gormogon arc is fairly edgy, but the most haunting scene of it is a short bit in the arc's first episode where they’ve captured and interrogated a suspect named Jason Harkness. The second Jason hears that a mold of his teeth will prove his guilt, Jason drops the act and goes into a SoftSpokenSadist monologue about what the various parts of the human body taste like, claims that he EatsBabies and then suddenly bites down hard into the tooth mold they’d brought while giving them a vicious DeathGlare. And then the end of the episode reveals that he was only the apprentice and whoever made him into a killer is still out there. Creepy stuff.
11	* "The Family in the Feud": A gentleman in a mesh hat and flannel shirt leads a pig through the woods on a leash. The pig sniffs the ground looking for truffles, before coming upon human remains in a tree. Suddenly, the eyes of the bloody skeleton begin to glow [[RedEyesTakeWarning red]]! Pig and man turn tail and run.
12	* "The Past in the Present": Pelant killed Ethan Sawyer by paralyzing him, cutting non-important arteries in his body, and leaving him to be eaten by wolves while still alive.
13	* "The Man in the Morgue" - the way it's shot, the way the murders are performed. All of it.
14	* "The Corpse on the Canopy": The SERBERUS soldier Pelant killed Xavier Freeman was tortured for days with needles on his spine, until the extreme continuous pain gave him a heart attack.
15	* "The Sense in the Sacrifice": Agent Flynn, like Ethan Sawyer before him, was paralyzed by Pelant and left alive while his liver was removed.
16	* "The Hot Dog in the Competition". The snake is hidden in the body, alive? Argh!!
17	* [[StalkerWithACrush Pam]] [[{{Yandere}} Nunan]] from "The Wannabe in the Weeds". Her stalking of Booth is ''deeply'' unnerving.

19	* The boy at the beginning of "The Change in the Game": "Do you know what they do to little boys who are bad, even on their birthday?" ... cue the body of the week ...
20	* "The Headless Witch In the Woods": The film the victim made is straight out of a bad horror movie but it works so well, Angela has to play rock music loudly so she doesn't faint from the screaming. In the film, there's also [[HellIsThatNoise a thudding sound of an axe striking something]], markings of the Witch's eyes strewn about the forest and at the end, Hodgins and Angela see something humanoid shaped behind the murder victim, looking a lot like the witch who supposedly lived there.

22	** Booth's interview with Lori, one of the three people who went into the forest. She's in an insane asylum due to the trauma of that night and gives Booth the most demented stare as she talked about the victim, saying that they were secret boyfriend/girlfriend and how amazing he was. Booth doesn't even need to say that Graham died, Lori pieces it together and goes into a screaming panicked fit, crying about all the blood. When Booth talks to Bones later he tells her it was one of the most disturbing incidents he's ever been through
23	* "The Doom in the Boom". Cam steps away from the scene, and gets to witness her team being blown up. The shocked and horrified look on her face is plain to see.
24	* The M.O. of Season 11's serial killer, the Puppeteer; which is turning his victims' corpses into life size puppets.
25	* "The Pathos in the Pathogens" has a virus that makes [[Film/{{Outbreak}} Motaba]] look like the common cold. It causes severe pain seizures and decomposition within 24 hours.
26	* In "The Price for the Past", Aldo Clemens was brutally tortured by having rats burrow into his body while still alive. He ended up killing himself to end the suffering. It's actually worse than that; he realized that his captor's motive was to hunt down Booth and torment him before murdering him and Aldo killed himself so that he wouldn't cave under the torture and get Booth killed. Even more horrifying is the fact that, by the end of the episode, all the team knows is that Booth is the target of a very depraved individual. They have no clue who it is, what their motive is, where they are, or what they are planning, and the end of the episode shows Booth and Brennan talking and coming to terms with the fact that they are going to be targeted and that Brennan and the kids will likely be in danger.
27	** When the killer above finally comes for his revenge, it's horrible; Booth and Brennan send their children and Max to a safe house with half-a-dozen agents while they continue to hunt the killer, only to find out that the safe house was attacked. When they get to the scene, they find Christine clutching her baby brother in a panic and screaming "Where's my grandpa?" Immediately after, an unconscious Max, who has been shot to hell, is rolled by on a stretcher in full view of the kids. Max managed to kill all the assassins hired by the murder, but then was badly wounded. Even though he seems like he's going to recover, he suddenly dies at the end of the episode in the middle of talking to Brennan. The episode ends with Booth showing up and Brennan tearfully screaming at him for not being there.
28	*** It only gets worse when you think about how the situation above probably messed up Christine and Hank. They are forcefully taken into heavy protective custody and separated from their parents. Their parents and grandpa won't tell them what's wrong. They are ambushed by people who want to murder them (even though Christine is only in first grade and Hank's barely a toddler) and they get to witness all the agents assigned to watch them get slaughtered. Worse, when Booth and Brennan were forced to send them into protective custody you could clearly see them playing with the agents in the background of the scene, and the one female agent even gave them friendship bracelets before they left. When Booth and Brennan walk through the shot-up safe house, the first body shown is hers, slumped against the wall, and the camera purposely zooms in on the bloody friendship bracelet on her wrist. Max killed all the attackers, but was injured; the kids had no clue about their grandpa's past, and got to not only see him get badly shot, but witness him kill a bunch of men with his bare hands and then grandpa dies later that night. Hank may be too little to remember, but Christine is both old enough to remember and is noted to be very intelligent; the poor kid is probably going to be haunted by the events of this episode for the rest of her life.
