Let's just say that [[WesternAnimation/BeavisAndButtHead this show]] has quite a few moments that can be off-putting for some people.

[[folder: The TV Show]]
* The two pilot episodes are truly disturbing, considering some of the expressions that the duo makes, including the death scenes in the same episodes.
* What is quite possibly the single most disturbing scene in the show's entire run occurs in the revival episode "Drones", during the Music/{{deadmau5}} music video. Beavis fairly graphically describes his experience of getting drugged and raped by a school [[WouldHurtAChild grief counselor]], and even [[EvenEvilHasStandards Butt-Head]] finds this off-putting. One of the worst parts is that the counselor told Beavis that if he told anybody, no one would believe him. '''[[SincerityMode For anyone who's been raped or molested at a young age, it might be wise to just fast-forward through this scene]]'''. Also MASSIVELY overlaps with {{tearjerker}}.
* Beavis accidentally putting a corkscrew in his hand in the episode "Holy Cornholio..." and then Butt-Head using the power drill to try to drill it out.
* In "Most Wanted", Beavis reveals that he "[[HearingVoices hears voices]]" that tell him to skip school and, apparently, abuse insects in twisted ways. Even Butt-Head seems a little unnerved by Beavis's psychotic, gleeful rant about killing a horsefly. Hell, even the SERIAL KILLER in the episode is creeped out.
* When the duo comment on Music/{{Pantera}}'s "This Love", Butt-Head theorizes that the lead singer is angry because of a domineering father. The commentary starts off pretty funny, with both of them imitating "Pantera's father" ("Dammit Pantera! You treat your stepmother with respect!") That is, until Beavis gets a little TOO in-character and specific with it, visibly freaking out and shaking/screaming as he does so. Even Butt-Head is slightly unnerved by this, and tells Beavis to calm down.
* The ShowWithinAShow "Blood Behind the Wheel" in "Safe Driving", which has a driver's POV of a head-on collision, complete with the eponymous blood. The class' reactions to this are just pure horror ([[NightmareFetishist apart from the duo, of course]]). This gets repeated later in the episode with Butt-Head doing the driving and Beavis and Coach Buzzcut as passengers as a semi-truck bears down on them.
** Shall we mention that this is the ''only'' episode where Buzzcut is genuinely scared shitless and screaming in terror alongside the boys? It drives home the fact that even the toughest people on the planet (in this case, a Marine who is implied to be a war criminal) can break down if placed in imminent fear for their life.
* "Bungholio: Lord of the Harvest" features the creepy, chainsaw obsessed farmer who [[SoftSpokenSadist speaks quietly]] and attacks Butt-Head while [[NothingIsScarier advancing upon him offscreen]]. In the final scene, the zombie farmer and a now blue-skinned Butt-Head advance on Beavis with chainsaws and violently murder him offscreen with only [[GoryDiscretionShot a single drop of blood hitting the screen]]. All as Beavis screams until he falls silent and the barn door closes by itself.
--> '''Butt-Head:''' Uh, [[OhCrap Uh-oh....]] *a shadow falls over him* ....Uhuhuh...
** Worst part is we don't know what the ''hell'' was done to Butt-Head. It's neither shown nor stated what happened to him after the shadow descended over him. All we see is him bearing an UndeathlyPallor when he comes to kill Beavis with the farmer. The fact that [[NothingIsScarier we're so left in the dark about this scene just makes it worse]].
** There's also that [[NightmareFace deranged look]] Beavis as Cornholio gives the camera (from a child's POV) as he claims all of Tom Anderson's Halloween candy for himself.
** The farmer appears in "Cow Tipping" where the two [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin try to tip a cow]]. Beavis becomes trapped under the cow as the zombie farmer appears with a chainsaw readied to kill him. It then cuts to black, with Butt-Head standing there, laughing as Beavis is presumably hacked to nothing.
* Beavis and Butt-Head's screaming faces are pretty unnerving in an off themselves, putting the "Deranged" in DerangedAnimation.
* [[DrillSergeantNasty Coach Buzzcut]] in general is genuinely frightening when he's mad. Not to mention how he [[MoralEventHorizon once had the class beat up a student for no reason at all]] in "Young, Gifted and Crude". [[KarmaHoudini And yet, the bastard still has a job.]]
** Want a good example of how creepy he is? Watch "No Laughing" at the part when he [[ItMakesSenseInContext tries to get Beavis and Butt-Head to laugh]] by saying sexual words. The closeups to his bloodshot eyes and deranged face are unpleasant.
** Another example occurs at the end of "P.T.A." when Beavis and Butt-Head mention in passing about Buzzcut kicking their asses. In the very last seconds of the episode, Buzzcut receives a letter from the administration. His reaction is as such:
---> "Your abuse of two students has come to our attention"? Who are they?! ''[[NotHelpingYourCase I'LL KILL 'EM!]]''
** In "Our Founding Losers", he ''assaulted'' the duo for not being patriotic minded enough.
** His Vietnam flashback in the episode where he coaches Beavis and Butt-Head in remedial gym is straight out of ''Film/ApocalypseNow'', complete with "Music/RideOfTheValkyries".
*** Said flashback reveals that he tormented Vietnamese citizens and destroyed their homes, so we can add "implied war criminal" to his list of negative traits.
*** Another disturbing aspect is that this is supposed to be his RousingSpeech to the duo, and they're more or less motivated from hearing about all the destruction going on, which leaves them head banging to him asking if they're with him. [[NightmareFetishist So it probably says something about Beavis and Butt-Head as well.]]
* AmusingInjuries aside, seeing Beavis with his burnt ass in "[[FartsOnFire Butt Flambé]]" is both disturbing and painful to watch. Just seeing and hearing his cries of agony is enough.
** Kind of overlaps with {{tearjerker}}, too. It's probably the most miserable that we've ever seen Beavis look. He's practically crying. He spends nearly the entire episode whimpering in pain and screaming. Unlike other episodes where he gets injured, he isn't laughing.
** Some other minor details involve a man in the waiting room who is visibly bleeding from the bullet holes in his stomach, is obviously clinging to life as he struggles to make his way to the doctor, and is finally shown flatlining on the operating table. Meanwhile, Butt-Head gets a hold of a uniform from the supply closet, and at one point a doctor performing a heart transplant, not knowing he doesn't actually work here, entrusts him to take the heart he just removed where it needs to be. [[FridgeHorror Obviously not a smart decision.]] [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking Butt-Head is of course still seen holding the bowl with the heart inside at the end of the episode.]]
* "Nose Bleed" is '''''NOT''''' for the squeamish, as it features Beavis bleeding horribly after being punched in the nose too many times. To make matters worse, Butt-Head's attempts to "help" just result in bigger blood loss.
** "Hey, Beavis, I got an idea! Look at me, uh huh huh huh. [[JumpScare UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH!]]" *Beavis screams in fear and the shock causes him to bleed even more*
* There is an episode where Beavis and Butt-Head shoot down a plane while trying to hunt ducks. Then we see the people inside the plane crying for help, and, aside from weakly attempting to open the door, [[FridgeHorror Beavis and Butt-Head leave them to die]].
* Face-front Cassandra from "Wall of Youth". [[https://i.ibb.co/wS93vM5/2020-01-20-2.png GOOD LORD.]]
* In another early episode, Van Driessen gets attacked by a bear that is pretty disturbing in appearance.
** [[TheChewToy Van Driessen in general]] is subject to grisly fates throughout the series. Another very notable example is when the bus braking causes Van Driessen to fly through the windshield and fall down the side of a mountain ("Bus Trip"). He also gets crushed by a truck tire Beavis is rolling around in ("Tired"), gets run over and ''killed'' by a monster truck ("Peace, Love and Understanding"), knocked out by a basketball board (''Beavis and Butt-Head Do U''), attacked by a swarm of wasps ("Beekeepers"), and breaks his neck falling off his desk while trying to teach his students meditation ("Substitute").
* Todd is terrifying in himself. He's a ruthless thug who repeatedly beats up Beavis and Butt-Head and [[KarmaHoudini gets away with it]] due to being a brute and the duo's [[{{Yandere}} admiration of the jerk]]. And really, he has no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
* "Woodshop" is a revisit to the "Beavis bleeding horribly" element. The two are in shop class and put everything to be cut in half by a table saw -- [[TooDumbToLive including a phone and a first aid kit]]. Then Beavis ''cuts his own finger off, leading to a massive amount of bleeding'', pictured above.
* The rabid guard dog that breaks free from its chain and tears up Beavis's leg down to the ''bone''.
** The end, where the doctor that administered the rabies shots is laughing ominously in a dim-lit room.
* "Breakdown" is truly disturbing, where Beavis and Butt-Head's inane laughter over the intercom finally drives [=McVicker=] to suffer a terrible mental breakdown and things only worsen when they visit him at the mental hospital. The episode ends with ominous music as their indifferent laughter begins to drive Van Driessen insane...
* There's also the BigLippedAlligatorMoment from ''WesternAnimation/BeavisAndButtHeadDoAmerica''. As awesome as the music of Music/WhiteZombie is, the visuals are sure to creep people out, such as the image of Butt-Head melting into a gang of miniature demonic Butt-Heads or the two headbanging as their skin flies off. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtwpheu7pss Behold.]]
* In "Werewolves of Highland", Beavis and Butt-Head set out to become undead so they can score with women (after watching ''Film/{{Twilight}}'' and seeing how the girls fawn over [[YourVampiresSuck Edward]] and [[OurWerewolvesAreDifferent Jacob]]). How do these two "brain surgeons" do it? They become [[NauseaFuel sickly sore-covered STD victims]] after being bitten by an infected beggar they believed to be a werewolf. What's more, said beggar [[FridgeHorror has been arrested for biting others in the past]].
* And while we're talking NauseaFuel, there's "Tainted Meat". Beavis's wiener is itching terribly, and he can't stop scratching it obsessively, even at Burger World -- and he uses one of the spatulas to do it. We get this really unnerving sequence, in ominous slow-motion, of Beavis taking his hand out of his pants long enough to put some more burger patties on the grill, without washing his hands. The result is a montage of everyone in the restaurant keeling over from food poisoning. Butt-Head, surprise surprise, [[CaptainOblivious barely notices what's happening]], packs up an order for a now-horrified customer, and wishes him a great day. A news report later states that health experts had never seen a bacteria this aggressive, implying that Beavis is PatientZero due to his incredibly poor hygiene.
* Beavis attempting to "shave" Butt-Head with a rusty razor they found in their couch. The music begins to turn creepy as Beavis begins to giggle maniacally, before the screen cuts to black, and a chopping noise is heard.
-->'''Butt-Head:''' UH!!!! YOU ASSWIPE!!\
'''Beavis:''' Woah, you look REALLY cool now!
** It doesn't help that Beavis had a SlasherSmile in that scene!
* Beavis getting [[GroinAttack mauled in the testicles]] by the insanely aggressive doberman the two adopted from the pound. Twice.
* In "Prank Call", the boys were pranking a really big and scary guy with an unfortunate name (Harry Sachz), and they gave him Stewart's address, causing an enraged Harry to burst into Stewart's home and [[WouldHurtAChild threaten him]]. Stewart's dad walks in with a phone, prompting Harry to think he made the calls and drag him to the bathroom, where he shoves the phone [[AssShove up his ass off-screen]]. While Mr. Stevenson [[LaserGuidedKarma deserved it]] for trying to throw Stewart under the bus to save himself, it's no less horrifying.
* Butt-Head getting his [[AndIMustScream mouth wired shut]] after angering his [[DepravedDentist dentist]] in "Patients Patients".
* "Choke" can be pretty disturbing to watch, as Butt-Head spends the bulk of the episode slowly choking to death. He looks genuinely fearful when it happens, [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness which emphasizes how dire the situation really is]], and all-out begs Beavis to call [=911=] and get help. He gets progressively worse as the episode goes on, struggling harder to breathe, turning darker shades of blue, and growing increasingly more limp until he passes out on the floor, his skin turning a sickly shade of green that by all accounts makes him look dead. And all this happens because Beavis is too stupid to understand the severity of what Butt-Head is going through, and possibly doesn't care enough to help him.
* "The Good Deed" starts off fairly tame until the boys mistake an entire barrel of insect poison for Spanish Fly. Attempting to get the girls at the school dance party to drink it, they decide to take it there and pour it into the fruit bowl. The poison is so strong, when Beavis puts an orange slice into it, it disintegrates ''instantly'' and even some of it got on Beavis' foot with him remarking it started to bleed. After awhile, the duo then drink the ''[[TooDumbToLive entire bowl]]'' with their stomachs inflating as a result. It's not long after they are taken to the hospital where it seemed like they were going to recover [[IronButtMonkey as usual]] right? ''[[SubvertedTrope NOPE]]''! They actually [[DisneyDeath flatlined]] marking the first time in the entire series Beavis and Butt-Head ''DIE''![[note]]There have been a few instances where one or both of them seem to die, though it is ambiguous in those episodes.[[/note]] This is the same duo that survived being run over by cars, falling out buildings, struck by lightning, and stricken with multiple types of life-threatening diseases at once! Even crazier to remember the episode [[DownerEnding ends]] this way! It's a good thing that this series doesn't run on continuity for the most part as the duo are shown to be still alive in later episodes.
* Old Beavis' kidneys exploding in "Kidney". After refusing to go the bathroom for three days due to not wanting to give up the side of the couch without the spring sticking into his ass to Butt-Head, Beavis' kidneys burst, and we see the sheer force of the explosions as two large bumps spring out of his shirt. This is followed by him screaming in agony before collapsing onto the floor. This happens again at the end of the episode, this time with his new kidney, which was donated by Stewart, and he is left shocked by this.
* There's something truly unsettling about "Nice Butt-Head" in the titular episode. While we know it is due to taking his medication, we see that he is basically eating it like candy and overdosing. This is most evident when Beavis forces him to throw up the medicine [[WeWantOurJerkBack to turn Butt-Head back to his old self]] and he is ''absolutely horrified'' by how many Butt-Head vomits.
* At the end of "Spring Break", the duo are implied to have died ''yet again'' when they get dropped into a trash compactor, thinking they're driving to the Jersey Shore. The episode ''ends there''. While it ''is'' PlayedForLaughs, dark laughs at that, it's still kind of gruesome to think about.
* The episode "Are You There God? It's Me, Beavis" seems to be an answer to the original series episode "Rabies Scare" where, unlike in that episode, Beavis actually ''does'' contract rabies after getting attacked by an infected skunk. Beavis spends the entire episode losing his mind and it's terrifying seeing him with the yellow eyes and actual foam around his mouth. At the end of the episode, Beavis turns completely feral and viciously attacks Tom Anderson like a wild animal.
* While watching "How to Pose Men for Photography", Butt-Head brings up this "photographer" who got Beavis to help him dispose of something wrapped in a blanket and later invited Beavis to his place. Beavis himself has little recollection of what happened afterward, but that guy asked Beavis to forgive him.
* They end up dying ''again'' in "Hoarders". They stupidly believe that [[InsaneTrollLogic hoarding will help them score]], but instead of their own belongings, they fill the house with other people's trash. Unfortunately, they can't find the door and eventually get buried underneath the trash. Instead of trying to escape, they think it's more comfortable to live in their trash. TimeSkip ten years later and they're found on their couch as skeletons.
* In "Needle Dicks" Beavis gets acupuncture in his face to help himself concentrate. While it does help, he thinks he needs more needles, and buys all he can at a crafts store, covering every square inch of his body. [[GroinAttack Afterwards, he decides to go spank his monkey, to predictable results.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Other]]
* The PointAndClickGame ''Virtual Stupidity'' has a section where the duo get thrown in prison. Leroy's cellmate Sam is a disturbing character who evokes NothingIsScarier by hiding under his bunk, visible only by his eyes and sickly arms (when he reaches out for something). He frequently recites disturbingly violent childlike poetry such as "I will kill them in my house and I will feed them to my mouse." To escape the cell, Beavis and Butt-Head have to trip the warden on a [[PrisonRape bar of soap]]. The warden is dragged under the bunk, and only his keys emerge. Although Sam is later revealed to be a Harry Sachz lookalike and is then executed by the electric chair with his last words being "See you in hell, my friends!".
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rjg5WAKqhDM This hidden easter egg scene]] in which Butt-Head pulls out a shotgun, says "[[PrecisionFStrike Fuck you, Beavis!]]" and blows Beavis's brains out. Jarring, to say the least, and makes one wonder how the game got away with a T rating.
