Lords of Acid is a spectacularly raunchy Belgian new beat band.

Created in 1988 by Praga Khan (aka Maurice Engelen), Darling Nikkie (aka Nikkie van Lierop and [=Jade4U=]), and Oliver Adams, Lords of Acid is notorious for its [[BrownNote hard-edged chainsaw]] techno grooves, its dead sexy female lead vocalists (currently DJ Mea), and [[RefugeInAudacity its incredibly filthy lyrics, 99% of which can't be played on US radio even with editing.]] To put it in perspective, their first single was a long and heavily looped track called "I Sit On Acid", which featured van Lierop chanting "sit on my face" and laughing orgasmically... After an opening lyric of "Darling come here, fuck me up the-". The song garnered quite unbelievable critical acclaim, and appeared in their debut album ''Lust'', exited in 1991, which also got outstanding acclaim from critics. Their second album, ''Voodoo-U'', has exited in 1994, and has a DarkerAndEdgier sound than ''Lust''. While not as well-received as ''Lust'', it still got critical praise. ''Our Little Secret'' was their third album, launched in 1997. The album contains their second hit, "Pussy". ''Farstucker'' is their fourth album, which exited in 2000, which has a more rock-influenced sound. After a decade-long break, Lords of Acid returned in 2012 with ''Deep Chills'', which is a considerable return to their original acid house sound. Oliver Adams and Praga Khan also did the soundtrack for Film/MortalKombatAnnihilation, performing as The Immortals. The band even appeared as a cameo in a porn movie.

!Lords of Acid has examples of:

* ACupAngst: "I Must Increase My Bust" is a techno lament of the singer's desperate attempts to make her boobs bigger, most of them going awry.
* AgeGapRomance: More like "Age-Gap Lust", as the song "Young Boys" is all about [[MoreExperiencedChasesTheInnocent the lustful female singer wanting to have their way with sexually oblivious adolescent boys]].
* BuxomBeautyStandard: "I Must Increase My Bust"'s narrator buys into bigger tits being better, and cooks up some weird schemes to try and get said bigger tits...
* AllWomenAreLustful: "Pussy" is a three minute song of girl-on-girl homoerotic trash talk.
* BowChickaWowWow: Porn star Alana Evans sings lead on their 2012 single "Pop That Tooshie".
* {{Crossdresser}}:
** "Long Johns"... and he's the most popular guy in the strip club as a result.
** The subject of "I Like It", wherein our narrator finds her guy secretly trying out her clothes.
* DoubleEntendre: Quite a few of their song names. One of their most well-known songs is "Pussy", and it's [[LampshadedDoubleEntendre lampshaded to the point that the song]] may just literally [[NotAMetaphor be about actual cats.]]
* EveryoneIsBi: Nearly all the female characters in their songs tend not to be picky, and if men are featured and aren't just another partner, they're often {{crossdresser}}s who attract other men.
* GratuitousFrench: "Fille De Joie", which is, unlike most of their songs, spoken in a heavily sensual French accent.
* WatchItStoned: Several of their songs extol enjoying things while high: "Marijuana In Your Brain", "LSD = Truth", "Lucy's Fucking Sky", among others.
* FadingIntoTheNextSong: Befitting the ecdysiast theme the two songs have, "Take Off" sets up a burlesque performance at a club, complete with the sleazy jazz, catcalling patrons, and [[DinnerTheater the sound of dishes and glasses.]] It fades into "Stripper", which goes into more than just a performance...
* {{Fetish}}: Redundant. The fire's already burning out of control and it smells like perfume, leather, and sex. Invoked in the live shows. For example, during "Spank My Booty", they bring girls up onstage and [[KinkySpanking spank them]] with this [[BuffySpeak paddle/whip thing]].
* TheImmodestOrgasm: "Stripper" [[{{Pun}} climaxes on not one, but]] ''[[{{Pun}} two]]'' as it's implied ''the entire club'' "[[MakingLoveInAllTheWrongPlaces partook]]" (for lack of a better word) in the singer's performance.
* IntercourseWithYou: Nearly every single one of their songs. Even "Pussy", which sounds like a double entendre but, well... isn't.
* InterspeciesRomance:
** [[spoiler:"Crablouse"]] actually makes [[spoiler:itchy parasites]] [[PerverseSexualLust sound sexy.]]
** "Rover Take Over", wherein our narrator lets [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin the dog take over her attempt at relieving herself.]] At the least, the singer apparently got ideas by watching her dog, um, [[{{Squick}} lick himself]].
** "Deep Sexy Space" features both aliens ''and'' robots trying to get in our narrator's pants.
* InTheStyleOf: Although sung to a rather different tune, much of "Drowning In Ecstasy" is essentially US Army-style jody calls. The femdom overtones of the lyrics add a playful touch of DrillSergeantNasty to complete the effect.
* IronicNurseryRhyme:
** "Out Comes The Evil". One of their very few non-sexual songs.
** "Scrood Bi U" starts with a nursery rhyme-esque "Darling, come here, and fuck me up [[SubvertedRhymeEveryOccasion the--]]", which gets cut short by the actual song.
* {{Ladette}}: van Lierop plays this well, though her replacement, Deborah Ostrega, had the look down better.
* MarsNeedsWomen: "Deep Sexy Space" concerns the plight of a woman who finds herself in the midst of an AlienAbduction... because the aliens are here to probe, and not scientifically.
* MoodWhiplash: In the midst of playful songs about drugs and sex, on the album ''Our Little Secret'' there's "Man's Best Friend", a genuinely poignant song about a prostitute who can't escape the life.
* MyGirlIsASlut: "Scrood Bi U"'s narrator wants ''everyone'' to fuck her.
* NewSoundAlbum: ''Farstucker''.
* ObligatoryBondageSong: "Rough Sex", "The Power is Mine", "Slave to Love" and "The [=ABCs=] of Kinky Sex". "Pain and Pleasure Concerto" is literally a recording of a BSDM session.
* TheOldestProfession: "Fille De Joie" is an ode to a prostitute.
* RefugeInAudacity: Songs about every possible questionable fetish, ranging from dogs to alien abductions.
* {{Retraux}}:
** "Slip 'n Slide" sounds like a mashup of Phil Spector's girl group songs with 90s arrangements. [[OutOfGenreExperience It doesn't sound like their usual style ''at all''.]] It's been likened to ''Music/BestCoast'' and the Raveonettes.
** "Take Off" is a throwback to cheesy jazz played during burlesques, especially in the 50s. Fittingly, it leads into "Stripper".
* SerialEscalation: Their over-the-top lyrics flirt with this constantly.
* ShoutOut: The album cover to ''Deep Thrills'' references the cover to the 1968 album ''Cheap Thrills'' by Big Brother and the Holding Company, drawn by R. Crumb.
* StealthPun: The climax of "Stripper"? It's a [[TheImmodestOrgasm literal climax.]]
* {{Stripperific}}: You could take a few spins on a pole to most of their songs. It's best exemplified in... "Take Off" and "Stripper"... which is set in a strip club, to boot.
* UnsettlingGenderReveal:
** The intended audience reaction to the artwork to ''Our Little Secret'' - the front cover features a woman giving the camera a sultry look, but the CD booklet folds out to reveal a suggestive bulge in her jeans.
** In-universe, "I Like It" has the singer walk into their boyfriend trying out all their clothes. Luckily for them both, and after some confusion, they think their boyfriend looks ''cute''.
* TamerAndChaster: Inasmuch a song about stripping can be tame, the Praga Khan mix of "Stripper" strips out the [[TheImmodestOrgasm moans and climaxes that heavily imply the original track is]] [[MakingLoveInAllTheWrongPlaces about getting railed by an entire strip club.]]
* {{Yandere}}:
** "Gimme Gimme" is a song about a pop star who has fallen desperately in love with her StalkerWithACrush.
** "You Belong To Me" is also about yandere and manages to combine both the obsessive and possessive themes of this trope, including a spoken word section that rather explicitly states the singer is perfectly willing to murder her lover for cheating on her.
* WholesomeCrossdresser: While not exactly ''wholesome''' because it's for kink, "I Like It" has the singer walk into her boyfriend trying out her clothes, and... as the song title goes, she likes it.
