JAM[[note]]Japan Animation song (anison) Makers[[/note]] Project is a music {{supergroup}} composed of some of the best and most HotBlooded musicians in the universe. It was founded in 2000 by Ichirou Mizuki (''Anime/MazingerZ'', ''Anime/GreatMazinger'', ''Manga/{{Devilman}}'', ...), Hironobu Kageyama (''[[Anime/DragonBallZ "Cha-la Head Cha-la"]]'', ''[[Manga/SaintSeiya "Soldier Dream"]]''), Masaaki Endoh ([[Anime/GaoGaiGar "Yuusha-Oh Tanjou"]]), Eizo Sakamoto (lead singer of heavy metal bands Anthem and Animetal), and Creator/RicaMatsumoto ([[Anime/PokemonTheOriginalSeries "Mezase Pokemon Master", "Rival" , "OK!"]], and voice of Satoshi).

Currently, the band is composed of Kageyama, Endoh, Masami Okui ([[Anime/RevolutionaryGirlUtena "Rinbu -Revolution-"]], [[Anime/YuGiOh "Shuffle"]]), Hiroshi Kitadani ([[Franchise/OnePiece "We Are"]], "Series/MadanSenkiRyukendo") and Yoshiki Fukuyama (singing voice of [[Anime/{{Macross 7}} Nekki Basara]], [[Manga/BusoRenkin "Makka na Chikai"]], [[Anime/OvermanKingGainer "King Gainer Over!"]]). Mizuki reduced his status to "part-time member" after the group got off the ground, Sakamoto "graduated" from the group and rejoined Anthem as well as started up new metal cover bands EIZO Japan and Aisenshi, and Matsumoto left in April 2008 to pursue solo work. They are occasionally joined by Ricardo Cruz, UsefulNotes/{{Brazil}}ian manga translator and PromotedFanboy, on various recordings and in concerts in Brazil.

And for some tidbits, Ichiro Mizuki lends his voice to voice ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsAlpha 3'''s BigBad Keisar Ephes.

!!This band provides examples of:
* AddedAlliterativeAppeal: As translated: THE HERO !! ~Set '''F'''ire to the '''F'''urious '''F'''ist~
* AnimeThemeSong: The name of the band is ''Japan Animation song[[note]]Anison[[/note]] Makers'', and unsurprisingly they produce ''many'' anime theme songs.
* CrowdSong: ''SKILL'' has a habit of invoking this in concerts. '''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uwky1ciyE0g MOTTO MOTTO!]]'''. Many of their songs seem to be '''made''' for this trope.
** Rescue Fire: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29ASo129XVQ MOTTO MOTTO!]]
%%* EvenTheGuysWantHim (Masaaki Endo)
%%* GaiasVengeance (''Hi no Tori [Phoenix]'' from ''MAXIMIZER'')
* GratuitousEnglish: Many of their songs, including ''VICTORY'', ''Voyager'' and the opening of ''SKILL'' are filled with random English lyrics.
%%* GreatBallsOfFire (used to punctuate the instrumental openings in concert)
* HotBlooded. '''Yes.''' If there is an anime that requires sheer '''[[RatedMForManly MANLYNESS]]''' and '''COURAGE''', there's a very high chance JAM Project will be there. 4 out od the founding 5 members (Ichiro "Aniki" Mizuki, Hironobu Kageyama, Masaaki Endoh and Yoshiyuki Fukuyama) practically ''defined'' the standards of Hot Blood in their [[SuperRobotGenre super robot anime]] [=OPs=].
%%* HumbleHero: The underlying theme of "THE HERO". Kinda fitting for the lead character of the [[WebComic/OnePunchMan anime it was used for.]]
* IncomingHam: Again, from "THE HERO" opens with a scream of '''''ONE-PUUUUUUUUUUUNCH!!!''''' before blasting into the song.
%%* LargeHam: The members even acknowledge this, to the point where Masaaki Endoh, Hironobu Kageyama and Ricardo Cruz compete on-stage to see who's the hammiest!!
%%* MassiveMultiplayerCrossover: JAM is a fixture at the {{Animelo}} Summer Live anime music concerts, which could easily take up a page of their own.
%%** If you have never seen/heard anything from the aforementioned concerts, get thyself to [=YouTube=] IMMEDIATELY or go to iTunes and look up "Re:bridge." Your mind will be blown.
%%** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMPfnu15bZg Here's the [=YouTube=] version of both performances (it was a two-day event) edited together]]. Now sit down and brace for ''awesome''.
* MetalScream: Two Type 4 instances in "THE HERO" (for reference, the last line as translated in Romanji):
-->''I wanna be a saikyou HE'''ROOO!!!!'''''
* MundaneMadeAwesome: JAM Project can make ''anything'' awesome. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xqskiIehfk This video]] [[strike:tests]] confirms the theory.
%%* OminousLatinChanting: "The Gate of Hell", "Crest Of Z's", "THE MONSTERS"
%%* OneWomanWail: ''Rocks''
%%* RatedMForManly: Oh, '''HELL YES.'''
* RearrangeTheSong: Although more a case of lyric recycling, for some reason the hook for the song "GONG" "Gongu wo narase" appears in a lot of their songs before their song "GONG" was even written. Also, parts of "SKILL" show up in "Rescue Fire" (Motto! Motto!) and "Bakuchin Kanryo! Rescue Fire" ([[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGZunzrWeGg I can fly! You can fly! We can fly!]]).
%%* ScarfOfAsskicking: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfPabkojSfw&feature=related Doesn't look out of place around Mizuki Ichiro's neck ''at all''.]]
%%* SofterAndSlowerCover: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJbHotqsd0E Rescue Fire!]]. Most of the content of ''Victoria Cross'' is like this, although a bit subtler.
%%* SpellingSong ("V-I-C-T-O-R-Y, 3 2 1 0 Never give up! Oh yeaaahhhhh!")
* TestosteronePoisoning:
** ''Break Out'' is essentially a long string of hotblooded buzzwords with very little coherence and a catchy chorus.
%%** [[VideoGame/BlazBlue '''FU-RIN-KA-ZAN!''']]
* ThePowerOfRock: On at least [[VideoGame/SuperRobotWars three]] [[Anime/{{Macross7}} distinct]] [[Anime/GaoGaiGar occasions]], music by the group or members has been a canon, in-show force to be reckoned with.
* ThemeMusicPowerUp Any time you hear one of their songs play in an anime, it [[strike: usually]] '''always''' means something awesome is about to happen.
* TroubledProduction: Even they aren't immune to this. GONG proved to be a very troublesome song as they could not hit a specific high note, forcing ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsAlpha 3'' to be delayed a little while. While they do play the song in their shows, they don't attempt the high note.
%%* VillainSong: "The Gate of the Hell" and "Praise be to Decepticon"
