MrFanservice in Video Games.
----
* ''VideoGame/{{A3}}'' has a CastFullOfPrettyBoys and several have gotten their shirtless cards, but Tasuku Takato and Omi Fushimi in particular are known for this. Each of them has had an event in which they are the featured card, shirtless.
** Tasuku is often acknowledged as InUniverse MrFanservice for a good reason. Very muscular and always working out, he has a number of cards in which he either goes shirtless or his outfit has a NavelDeepNeckline, showing off his well-built physique.
** Omi is also very well-built and started a MemeticMutation with his NakedApron (although downplayed as he wears a swimsuit beneath) outfit. His card in the ''Anime/SK8TheInfinity'' collaboration set has him paired with Joe, in which he gets to show off his chiseled body.
** Homare Arisugawa may be tall and slender, but is built and toned enough to get an event in which he is the featured card and shirtless, plus an in-story illustration of it. He also gets a shirtless card alongside Tasuku and Omi in ''Soak to Your Shoulders ♪ Velu~do Baths'' to show off his lean body, although as an SR instead of an SSR.
* ''VideoGame/ANNOMutationem'': [[BloodKnight Absalom]] is shown with NoShirtLongJacket, which is always wide open to expose his upper torso that shows glowing tattoos etched all over his upper body.
* Almost all of the guys in [[VideoGame/AtelierRoronaTheAlchemistOfArland the]] [[VideoGame/AtelierTotoriTheAdventurerOfArland Arland]] [[VideoGame/AtelierMeruruTheApprenticeOfArland trilogy]] are impossibly pretty, but Sterk takes the cake. He can be seen half undressed, naked in a hot spring, [[DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything or being attacked by a giant octopus]].
* Whithin ''Franchise/BlazBlue'' the attractively designed, most biggest fanservice ploys in the game are [[AnIcePerson Jin Kisaragi]] and Hazama. Jin is a {{tsundere}} {{bishounen}} with [[FormFittingWardrobe tight clothing]] and a DarkAndTroubledPast. A sexy pillowcase featuring him sold at twice the amount of Noel's and Rachel's pillowcases weeks before it was even ''designed''. Hazama, the smooth criminal, is a very well dressed troll. He is the only character, male or female, who has a bath scene in game. [[http://www.fightersgeneration.com/nx9/char/ragna-blazblue-cp-beach.jpg Ragna]] and [[http://www.fightersgeneration.com/nx9/char/kagura-mutsuki-bbcp-beach.jpg Kagura]] join the bandwagon with swimsuits in ther beach episode alongside Celica and Noel.
* ''Franchise/{{Castlevania}}''. When Ayami Kojima [[AuthorAppeal handled the character designs]] in most of the Metroidvania games in the series, suddenly every Belmont (except Julius and Christopher) became a top-grade {{Bishonen}}. Special mention goes to Juste, Richter, and Simon in the Belmont bloodline.
* The ''VideoGame/DarkParables'' are brimming with this trope, since most of the major male characters have some of this going on. Brothers-in-law Prince James and Prince Ross are a couple of {{Hunk}}s, while Jack (the beanstalk climber) bears a strong resemblance to Franchise/IndianaJones. The two young men in the bonus chapter of the seventh game are a pair of very {{Pretty Boy}}s, and Eric, in the ninth game, is a WalkingShirtlessScene. Later games in the series feature the Moon Priest, who arguably looks more like a storybook PrinceCharming than any other character yet introduced, and the newest installment gives us the Shadow God, who evokes sex appeal.
* ''VideoGame/{{Darkstalkers}}'':
** Demitri Maximoff shows why VampiresAreSexGods with his purposely designed [[https://i.pinimg.com/originals/6b/d3/c0/6bd3c030800970649178b4d3b90eafdc.jpg muscular build and noticeable bulge]] which led some fans joking while that Morrigan appeals to boys, Demitri appeals to girls. Not mention he carries roses and blow kisses while performing "[[GenderBender Midnight Bliss]]", and has a sexy voice. Similar to Alucard from ''Anime/{{Hellsing}}'' Demitri is able to shift face to look handsome or put on his [[MoreTeethThanTheOsmondFamily toothy]] GameFace.
** Jon Tailbane [[https://66.media.tumblr.com/88939df6d053826c1489dd7d5c3d0a4b/tumblr_o5plsfiyDx1tkay0no1_400.jpg in his human form]]. Though he's wolf-form is PopularWithFurries.
** Donovan Baine [[https://i.pinimg.com/originals/23/bf/21/23bf21079427f39869d04b7fa92b8311.jpg shows off as much skin as Morrigan]] does, even in his vampire form (Dee) which covers his arms and legs, still shows off his abs.
** While Lord Raptor's normal zombie-skeleton form is FanDisservice (unless you're into DemBones), his human form, however [[https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/001/287/009/d4b.gif is pretty hot]].
** Rikuo, [[RunningGag he's strangely attractive for a fishman]] you know.
** Jedah Dohma, he's like a cross between [[Manga/JojosBizarreAdventure Jotaro]] and Dracula being a handsome and muscly DarkMessiah.
* ''VideoGame/DevilMayCry'' with Dante, courtesy of his shirtless younger self just stepping out of the shower in the first scene of the [[VideoGame/DevilMayCry3DantesAwakening third game]] and [[WalkingShirtlessScene remaining shirtless throughout]] in an unlockable "outfit". It runs in the family; see his older twin Vergil and [[spoiler:nephew Nero]]. V from the [[VideoGame/DevilMayCry5 fifth game]] also counts, being the only male character to appear completely naked at one point. [[spoiler:Given he's Vergil's SoulJar, it's fitting]].
* While ''Franchise/DragonAge'' is said to have a few of these, with hot bod gazing and skimpy threads galore.
** Fenris of ''VideoGame/DragonAgeII'' is one of the standout examples. A bisexual elf with white hair, green eyes, skin-tight black clothing, and buckets of angst, what's not to like?
** Cullen, by ''[[VideoGame/DragonAgeInquisition Inquisition]]'', has become this (if you didn't consider him so in previous games). He gets ShirtlessScene in one cutscene, a few nude scenes, and even parodies this trope in a skit Creator/BioWare created in their Best Game of the Year nomination in a game awards show.
** Dorian, another romance option for [[GayOption male Inquisitors]] is a very handsome man with a suave personality who also has an explicit, completely unobscured shot of his gorgeous ass in his romance shot.
** Varric is a rare dwarven example of this, being a handsome and charming rogue with his CarpetOfVirility constantly on display. While some of the armor in ''Inquisition'' covers up the chest hair, some of that same armor is also sleeveless on his character model, showing off his [[RightToBareArms ''extremely'' muscular arms instead]].
* So much attention has been focused on [[MsFanservice the Sorceress and Amazon]] of ''VideoGame/DragonsCrown'' that it's easy to overlook the Knight and Dwarf's ridiculous muscles, coupled with the Knight's [[{{Bishonen}} pretty-boy face]] and the Dwarf's outfit rivaling the Amazon's for {{Stripperiffic}}.
* ''Franchise/FinalFantasy'' loves its handsome fellas. Let's see -- partial list;
** ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII'' prequel ''VideoGame/CrisisCore'' has Zack Fair, complete with a ShirtlessScene on the beach.
** ''VideoGame/DissidiaFinalFantasy'': Sephiroth has an alternate costume where he fights [[OneWingedAngel with one wing]] and [[WalkingShirtlessScene zero shirts.]]
** ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXIII'': [[IdiotHero Snow]] is the perfect stereotype of that somewhat simple but absurdly hot boyfriend that goes to the ends of the world to save his girlfriend. He even gets two {{Shirtless Scene}}s, one in ''[[VideoGame/FinalFantasyXIII XIII]]'' and one in ''[[VideoGame/LightningReturnsFinalFantasyXIII Lightning Returns]]'' [[note]]but only if the fight against him takes long enough[[/note]] and boy, Snow is ''ripped''.
** ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXIV'' has quite a fair amount of beefcake in it, surprisingly enough. Even putting aside the Adonis known as Godbert Manderville, who takes this trope and WalkingShirtlessScene and just [[RunningGag piledrives them into the ground,]] the male PlayerCharacters have quite a selection of armours and glamour kits which show off their bare chests and toned legs.
*** Perhaps the best example of MrFanservice might be Nhaza'a Jaab, a Mi'qote mercenary in the Beast Tribe quests who first shows up in a bathing spring and makes no pretense towards embarassment as he struts around the Warrior of Light. While Godbert is of the comedic, somewhat oblivious and occasionally mercenary sort, Jaab just makes a point of showing himself off.
** ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXV'' has an [[BlueBishounenGhetto all-male main cast]], ranging from PerkyGoth [[http://www.geeksofdoom.com/GoD/img/2016/10/final-fantasy-xv-omen-trailer.jpg Noctis]] to the muscled [[http://cdn.idigitaltimes.com/sites/idigitaltimes.com/files/2017/03/29/gladio-nipple-ring.jpg Gladiolus]]. ''Anime/KingsglaiveFinalFantasyXV'' also features a scene of Nyx Ulric hanging around on his bed with no shirt, playing with some fire magic while watching cartoons.
** ''VideoGame/MobiusFinalFantasy'''s main selling point is that the main character is a handsome white-haired boy with a great body and outfits that show off his extensive tats. Square Enix actually had to edit the game when Wol's [[TheissTitillationTheory insubstantial outfit]] was criticized by playtesters for being so sexualized that it came off as absurd (in the manner of the feminine ChainmailBikini).
* ''VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening'' and ''VideoGame/FireEmblemFates'' cater more openly to people of [[MaleGaze both]] [[FemaleGaze genders]] who like fanservice, so both games have very handsome men who were openly designed to make fangirls swoon. ''Awakening'' has Prince Chrom, Gaius and Owain as the most obvious examples, especially if one goes by their DLC pictures; ''Fates'' adds guys like the Male Avatar, Jakob, the Nohrian princes Xander and Leo, the Hoshidan princes Ryoma and Takumi, the Nohrian outlaw Niles, the Nohrian Dark Mage Odin [[spoiler:who turns out to be the aforementioned Owain under a SecretIdentity]], etc.
* ''VideoGame/FireEmblemHeroes'' has several men go shirtless on occasion. WildCard antagonist Bruno [[https://gamepedia.cursecdn.com/feheroes_gamepedia_en/0/02/Masked_Knight_BtlFace_D.png?version=18f04a29f45783b554a3ad785a260203 loses his shirt in his damaged artwork]], and the summer variations of [[https://fireemblem.gamepress.gg/sites/fireemblem/files/2017-08/Full_Attack_Frederick_%28Ylissean_Summer%29.png Frederick]], [[https://fireemblem.gamepress.gg/sites/fireemblem/files/2017-06/Gaius%20Summer%20Full.png Gaius]], [[https://fireemblem.gamepress.gg/sites/fireemblem/files/2018-06/Innes%20Normal.png Innes]], [[https://fireemblem.gamepress.gg/sites/fireemblem/files/2017-08/Full_Attack_Leo_%28Nohrian_Summer%29.png Leo]], [[https://fireemblem.gamepress.gg/sites/fireemblem/files/2018-07/dlHm0T0.png Takumi]], and [[https://gamepedia.cursecdn.com/feheroes_gamepedia_en/8/88/Xander_Student_Swimmer_Face.png?version=6cc85f680a7268513be3fe54a6dfe69b Xander]] and the hot spring variation of [[https://fireemblem.gamepress.gg/sites/fireemblem/files/2019-01/Hostile%20Springs%20Ryoma%20norm.png Ryoma]] all go completely bare-chested.
* Amiti in ''VideoGame/GoldenSunDarkDawn'' is a {{Bishounen}} WarriorPrince whose introductory storyline is spent wearing [[EverythingsSparklyWithJewelry more jewelry]] [[WalkingShirtlessScene than clothing]].
* Quite a few male characters in ''VideoGame/GuiltyGear'' are ruggedly handsome: Sol is a total {{Hunk}} who oozes masculinity, Johnny is a suave guy whose [[NoShirtLongJacket open coat reveals his chiselled abs]], Anji is a free-spirited dancer who is [[WalkingShirtlessScene almost never seen wearing a shirt]], and the list goes on.
** Axl Low also has a sizable fangirldom down to his incredibly ripped and massively built body (who gets a shirtless moment in his ending in [[VideoGame/GuiltyGearX the second game]]) and also his flowing blond locks, chiseled jaw and optimistic NiceGuy attitude.
* ''VideoGame/{{Hades}}'':
** The promotional campaign for the 1.0 release made no bones about the main character Zagreus', ahem, "[[https://twitter.com/IndieWorldNA/status/1309508009866002444 character]]" being a major selling point of the game. The production materials for the trailer make it clear that this was intentional.
-->'''Storyboard note:''' [Brushes blood out of hair SEXILY]
** While [[HotGod all the Greek gods in the game are designed to be attractive]], Dionysus easily qualifies as this trope out of all the male Olympian gods. He wears a very short and loose-fitting chiton while his in-game portrait has him posing in a way that shows off a lot of his chiseled body.
* ''VideoGame/TheKingOfFighters'' envelopes some fanservice elements in their male characters for its fans. The one who set the example in regards to this trope is Iori Yagami: Deep and sensual voice? Check. Bad boy attitude? Check. HellBentForLeather? Check.
** For that matter, the TallDarkAndHandsome Kyo Kusanagi himself has become more of this with time. He's also kind of a bad boy [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold but not as jerk-ish as Iori is]], has a pretty nice body, deals the snark very well. Not to mention KOF: KYO takes his {{Bishonen}} traits and turns them up to eleven. (And his physical beauty even gets praised by ''[[Franchise/StreetFighter Vega]]'' [[TheFightingNarcissist of all people]] in VideoGame/SNKVsCapcomSVCChaos)
** And following both Iori and Kyo, there's K'. A gorgeous, dark-skinned blond who's also HellBentForLeather.
** Shen Woo is among the few that can rival these three in this. A WalkingShirtlessScene with finely-sculpted abs that would give [[VideoGame/SengokuBasara Yukimura]] a run for his money? Check. Very handsome features? Check.
* ''Franchise/KingdomHearts'':
** Riku is a muscular {{bishonen}} who tends to wear sleeveless shirts, giving the player a good view of his muscular arms. This is especially noticeable from ''VideoGame/KingdomHeartsII'' onwards, where he's gotten taller and wears a shirt that exposes his navel.
** [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyVIII Squall Leonhart]]/Leon was already rather attractive in his home game, but his longer hair and AgeLift into his 20s certainly managed help push him more into this trope.
** [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII Sephiroth]] is just as much of a long-haired, muscular {{bishonen}} in black leather in this game as he is in his home game.
** Similarly to his home game rival, [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyVIII Seifer Almasy]] was already rather attractive, but this game manages to help push him a bit more into this. He's given an AgeLift that turns him into far more of a {{bishonen}}, and his outfit consists of a midriff-bearing shirt and a sleeveless jacket that shows off his muscles.
** Terra is a muscular {{hunk}} who wears a [[FormFittingWardrobe tight]], short-sleeved shirt. His Break Time animation also gives the player the pleasure of watching him do handstand push-ups.
* ''VideoGame/LeagueOfLegends'':
** Kayn is a muscular PrettyBoy whose design takes many cues from numerous {{Bishonen}} tropes, all while being a WalkingShirtlessScene. That said, the [[TheCorruptor demonic corruption]] he suffers from from wielding [[LivingWeapon Rhaast]] keeps from going to far into this trope. In fact, this is outright acknowledged by Akali in issue 3 of the ''Zed'' comic.
--->'''Akali:''' I mean I hate admitting it, but the abs and shirtless thing? Actually works for me. But those eyes? Crazy. You're hot. But crazy.
** Pantheon is a muscular {{Hunk}} whose [[WalkingShirtlessScene constant lack of shirt]] and well-groomed beard makes him very easy on the eyes.
** Sett may well be the poster boy for this trope when it comes to this game. He's got an {{Animesque}} design, a ripped physique that accentuated by him wearing a jacket that exposes his [[WalkingShirtlessScene chest]] and [[SleevesAreForWimps arms]], and his very stylish mannerisms and a "hard on the outside, soft on the inside" personality that seem specially designed to appeal to the female fantasy.
** While Swain isn't by any means ugly, his older appearance and full armor wardrobe keeps him from being a case of this trope. His [[{{Pirate}} Bilgewater skin]], on the other hand, gives him a more youthful look, alongside making him more muscular and removing his shirt to expose said muscles.
** Sylas is a muscular WalkingShirtlessScene whose rugged design makes him quite easy on the eyes.
** While Taric wasn't this originally, after his [[ArtEvolution VGU]], he most certainly fall into this trope, now being a LongHairedPrettyBoy whose muscles are exposed by a NavelDeepNeckline. His flamboyant yet gentle personality and the sparkles in his VFX certainly help. He also has quite a few skins that play up this trope, such as his [[BeachEpisode Pool Party skin]], which turns him into a blonde WalkingShirtlessScene lifeguard, and his [[RealMenWearPink Armor of the Fifth Age skin]], which goes even further with the neckline by having it actually go all the way down to his navel.
** Yasuo became this as time went on. His base splash art gives him a weathered and grimy look, as well has looking quite older than he actually is in-lore. Over time, however, he would receive numerous skins that make him far more conventionally attractive, such as his [[SpaceOpera Odyssey skin]], which gives him an attractive, LovableRogue type look, and his Spirit Blossom skin, which turns him into a muscular WalkingShirtlessScene. This would eventually carry over into his base appearance, best seen in the ''Kin of the Stained Blade'' short, which undoes most of the griminess of his splash art and shows off how muscular he really is.
* ''VideoGame/LegacyOfKain'' is chock full of this. All but one of the main male vampires spend most of their time at least partially topless. Kain spends two whole games [[WalkingShirtlessScene walking shirtless]] and we never actually see Janos Audron with a real shirt on.
* ''Franchise/TheLegendOfZelda'':
** Link, whenever he's a teen, is usually a handsome {{Bishonen}} with [[WhatBeautifulEyes pretty]] InnocentBlueEyes. As shown in the page image, he even gets a ShirtlessScene in ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaTwilightPrincess''. Link in ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaBreathOfTheWild'' is an even bigger example than previous Links. He is a LongHairedPrettyBoy who wears a ponytail and has a softer, more feminine looking face than usual. He starts the game shirtless and you can technically play the game with him only wearing boxers if you want (though it would be challenging). At E3 2016 many jokes were made by Creator/{{Nintendo}}'s Treehouse crew about how attractive Link is (especially shirtless). He's a huge ChickMagnet in-game as well.
** To boot, ''Breath of the Wild'' offers the possibility of changing outfits, with some of them (namely, the Gerudo outfits, both male and female, and the Barbarian Armor) show quite a lot of skin, while, as mentioned above, going completely shirtless is also entirely possible.
*** As if it wasn't blatant enough, certain accessories and weapons erase the need for some of the outfit's elemental boosts, so you can theoretically have Link walk through the snow in only his underwear.
** Also in ''Breath of the Wild'' is Prince Sidon, who is a [[FishPeople Zora]] that doesn't wear any form of clothing other than a belt and other accessories, is quite muscular, and is darn tall. Whenever Sidon appears, you'll be seeing his built body quite often. Heck, the very first time you see him (if you follow the story in the correct order) he's dripping wet.
* VideoGame/LiveALive has [[NubileSavage Zaki]] from the Prehistory Chapter, who wears nothing but a lizard for underwear, showing off his brilliant physique and has long hair that he flips a lot. From the Near Future Chapter, [[PrettyBoy Akira]] and [[{{Hunk}} Matsu]], who wear jackets without shirts, showing their off well-toned chests.
* Kaim from ''VideoGame/LostOdyssey'' has very formfitting armour, with a nice sliver of flesh that shows off his hips and lower back. Not to mention the scene when he awakes after losing his memories, and is shirtless.
* ''Franchise/MassEffect'': The game's enormous female following is largely due to the ability to play a female Shepard, but in case that wasn't enough incentive...
** Most of the male love interests will display some degree of MrFanservice, but Thane takes the cake: the [[TheAtoner assassin seeking redemption]] with a deep raspy voice, a [[HellbentForLeather taste for leather]], and a tendency to show off a good portion of his pecs (mind you, that's to help stave off a terminal disease, but still). He was specifically designed by the creators to provide a male counterpart to the [[GreenSkinnedSpaceBabe asari]].
** It's worth noting that Kaidan's chest in ''3'' has as much pixel definition as most main character's FACES.
** James Vega takes up the mantle in the third game. He's not a romance option, but the game doesn't mind letting players admire his body, in ''and'' out of universe.
* ''VideoGame/MetalGear'':
** ''VideoGame/MetalGearSolid2SonsOfLiberty'' had Raiden, and even stripped him naked near the end of the game. WordOfGod stated that Raiden was specifically added for this, because Creator/HideoKojima heard two teenage girls complaining about how military games always had you playing as ugly old men, and so decided to make the main character a sexy young man. Raiden was even intended to have visible panty lines under his suit, according to his character design art, though this got cut at some point.
** It's also fair to note that Snake's outfit, which is supposed to be the same as what he wore in the previous game, suddenly and inexplicably got very, very tight -- [[PaintedOnPants particularly around the buttocks]]. Creator/HideoKojima was apparently ''adamant'' that Solid Snake had a nicer butt than Raiden, insisting it was 'something like' the idea of how male gamers would rather stare at the backside of a woman for hours, and gave the character modeler a hard time until they got it perfect. The character designer freely admitted that Raiden was to appeal to girls who liked handsome young {{Bishonen}}, and Snake to girls who liked sexy older men. (By the way, Snake's body was [[ComicBookFantasyCasting modelled]] after Creator/JeanClaudeVanDamme, whose movies are known for featuring objectifying butt shots.)
** Liquid Snake. Blond, British, wanders around [[WalkingShirtlessScene shirtless]] in Alaska.
** Kazuhira Miller in ''Peace Walker''. [[FirstPersonSnapshooter You get to take photos of him in his underwear]] and even ''[[GayOption have sex]]'' with him in one bonus mission in the game.
* While very few of the male characters in ''Franchise/MortalKombat'' [[WalkingShirtlessScene seem to be able to find a shirt]], there's Johnny Cage, with his literally constant bare-chestedness.
** Liu Kang as well, since he's more often than not bare-chested and has pretty handsome features as well.
* ''VideoGame/OdinSphere'' has multiple male characters that exhibit handsome features and display some more fanservice-y qualities. Of particular note is Ingway, the Prince of Valentine and older twin brother to playable protagonist Velvet. Not only does he have the physical aspects of a {{Bishonen}}, but his outfit features a mantle that has a tendency to flare out whenever he moves, exposing a tanned and chiseled physique. He's so handsome that Mercedes, [[spoiler: his love interest,]] is left speechless when she sees his human form for the first time after [[spoiler: breaking the frog curse that was cast on him.]]
* ''VideoGame/{{Onmyoji|2016}}'' has a fair share, but the grand prize goes to Yasha whose all outfits are revealing to some degree, most infamously his default Awakened form which embodies the TheissTitillationTheory to the T.
** Not even protagonist Seimei is spared when the first thing anyone mentions about his summer firework festival skin is the fact his chest is visible.
** And then there is humanoid Orochi who is a sexy villain played ''dead'' straight.
* ''VideoGame/{{Overwatch}}''
** Doomfist is tall, [[{{Hunk}} handsome]], muscular, deep-voiced, and [[WalkingShirtlessScene perpetually shirtless]].
** Hanzo wears a kimono which shows off the left side of his muscular torso and long dragon tattoo.
** [=McCree=] has a Lifeguard skin, being shirtless and shows off his physique.
** Genji's cybernetic body resembles form-fitting armor, and has a prominent butt that's conveniently not covered with armor plates.
** Baptiste initially caught many players' attention with his sleeveless outfit and smooth, deep voice. On top of that, some of his in-game cosmetics reveal him to have a bit of a flirty side, including two sprays depicting him shirtless.
* ''Franchise/{{Persona}}'':
** If there was any doubt that Akihiko is and always has been MrFanservice, [[http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/megamitensei/images/7/73/P4A_Akihiko_Render.png/revision/latest?cb=20141207153150 this is what he looks like in]] ''VideoGame/{{Persona 4 Arena}}''.
** ''VideoGame/Persona4'':
*** Kanji's the most buff guy on the team and is the one shown shirtless most frequently, to the point where his Shadow only wears a towel.
*** Teddie's human form plays it up for all it's worth, with his debut appearance being completely naked and sweating with sparkles cascading off of him. In-universe as well, where women who aren't aware of what he's like fawn over him immediately.
** [[https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C8MfoBZXcAAcBr6.png:large Joker from]] ''VideoGame/Persona5'' . Between his [[TallDarkAndHandsome looks]], [[BadassLongcoat outfit]], [[ArousedByTheirVoice voice]], and [[AllGirlsWantBadBoys attitude]], he's definitely got a devoted female fanbase and more than a few fanboys. This was done intentionally as the official artbook talks about the challenge of designing him not as a male fantasy like your average video protagonist but making him actually attractive.
* ''Franchise/{{Pokemon}}'' has quite a surprising amount of attractive men in their roster of trainers.
** Among the generic trainer classes, male Swimmers are as attractive as their [[MsFanservice female counterparts]], usually being tall, muscular men in either tiny speedos or tight wetsuits.
** In the Generation 1 games, Brock [[WalkingShirtlessScene never wore a shirt]], and supplementary art showed how muscular he was. While he [[AdaptationalModesty typically wears a shirt in modern games]], ''VideoGame/PokemonMasters'' has him throw his shirt off and show his buff physique with his most powerful move. One of his Sync Pair outfits in ''Masters'' gives him a skintight shirt with no sleeves.
** Similarly, Bruno, the Fighting-type master of the Elite Four is a massively buff man who also never wears a shirt. Unlike Brock, he has not been subjected to AdaptationalModesty.
** Wallace in ''[[VideoGame/PokemonRubyAndSapphire Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire]]'' dresses in an outfit that shows off more skin than most female characters in the franchise, to the point that it's [[VaporWear very obvious]] that he's [[GoingCommando not wearing anything underneath it]].
** Marlon from ''VideoGame/PokemonBlack2AndWhite2'' is a muscular swimmer who [[WalkingShirtlessScene wears nothing but the lower half of a wetsuit]] and has some prominent tanlines on his lower half.
* [[Franchise/PrinceOfPersia The Prince of Persia]] manages to lose more and more of his upper-body clothes over the course of the first game, until he's completely shirtless.
* Little Mac from ''VideoGame/PunchOut'' was never this originally but when he was redesigned in Wii version and further [[https://pm1.narvii.com/5883/00464cced694de071b93c68e536e0ad189442de3_hq.jpg enhanced]] in ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBrosForNintendo3DSAndWiiU'', you bet your ass he became this to the fangirls and fanboys. Mac is so handsome and ripped, fans have likened him to a [[Manga/JojosBizarreAdventure JoJo character]] and [[LauncherOfAThousandShips shipped him with everyone]] from Samus to Link.
* ''VideoGame/RedDeadRedemption2'': Tall, rugged and broad-shouldered, with chiseled features and sun-kissed forearms, nice blue eyes and a pleasant Southern drawl, there is no denying that the tough-as-nails cowboy Arthur Morgan is a handsome man indeed. Many people from [[EvenTheGuysWantHim both genders]] both in-universe and out think he is attractive. The girls in his camp, including John Marston's wife, seem to have the hots for him. His ex also still has feelings for him. A male character even calls him a "pretty boy" (although he's more of a Hunk if anything) and a barber he can go to get his hair done is always complimenting him. And both male AND female players alike will spend most of their precious sweet time dressing Arthur up than doing anything else in the game. It doesn't help that he's literally modeled after a young Creator/ClintEastwood and is compared to people like Creator/ChrisPine, Creator/BradPitt or Creator/ChrisHemsworth in appearance, especially if he is really well-groomed. Some players can even make him look like a western [[Franchise/ResidentEvil Leon Kennedy]] at times. And you can watch him bathe, for the low, low price of 25c, being rewarded to show off his bare chest. Even when clothed, there's an option to have him unbutton some of his shirt so you can still see some of his chest. [[spoiler:And then he contracts TB and he [[EeriePaleSkinnedBrunette loses all]] [[WeightLossHorror his looks]] in a matter of a few weeks.]]
* ''VideoGame/ResidentEvil'':
** While Chris Redfield probably had fangirls before, his [[https://fsa.zobj.net/crop.php?r=RO8-4wc1wq-xRBdkcSZh8pgZbCB8zDu1Zyb_K_j3kiu4SyWjbb2CYMQbfVdpIbs9IV1aibTCzl6Z39CsBYGXJBJjji_61BWGOR9ebAC3fBoezOVo6t0zRt1LUSywFAJV8io5bEHoS2bmnYE9 rugged and ridiculously muscly depiction]] from [[VideoGame/ResidentEvil5 RE5]] that cemented him as this trope. InUniverse Jessica Sherawat from ''[[VideoGame/ResidentEvil Revelations Revelations 1]]'' wastes no time hitting on Chris throughout the game, [[ChasteHero to little success]]. Chris's alt costumes such as "[[https://66.media.tumblr.com/4641b0c60442fccd070d5a607d3f3ba1/tumblr_inline_pbexgtPG0S1vizqdf_1280.png Warrior]]", "[[https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/933810070488564852/AD7FF5779559B2A49DA88EF98CBDC254639FF9CA/ Sailor]]" and "[[https://i.pinimg.com/originals/3c/d9/fa/3cd9fa7718c9661eeec83bb144902dac.jpg Samurai]]" lampshade this.
** Leon S. Kennedy is very handsome, to point of being borderline {{Bishonen}} despite the realistic style, also certain [[FormFittingWardrobe wardrobe]] reveals that [[https://i.pinimg.com/originals/1a/50/a2/1a50a243c27bf0750f950801aa1c529c.jpg Leon is pretty muscly]]. In-universe women such as [[FemmeFatale Ada Wong]], [[VideoGame/ResidentEvil4 Ashely Graham]] and [[VideoGame/ResidentEvilTheDarkSideChronicles Manuela Hidalgo]] are attracted to him and some (e.g Claire Redfield in [[VideoGame/ResidentEvil2Remake RE2make]]) even give Leon the FemaleGaze. Speaking of the remake, Leon gets ClothingDamage halfway through that reveals his toned arms.
** Albert Wesker wouldn't seem to fit this trope, yet [=RE5=] turns him hot with his deep voice and attire. In the FinalBattle he gets a ShirtlessScene [[https://images-wixmp-ed30a86b8c4ca887773594c2.wixmp.com/f/0d4ca459-1883-47d6-8f21-b6b00285257a/d2jmoql-a3ff04be-5772-497a-83d1-4dc31eb2c790.jpg?token=eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJzdWIiOiJ1cm46YXBwOjdlMGQxODg5ODIyNjQzNzNhNWYwZDQxNWVhMGQyNmUwIiwiaXNzIjoidXJuOmFwcDo3ZTBkMTg4OTgyMjY0MzczYTVmMGQ0MTVlYTBkMjZlMCIsIm9iaiI6W1t7InBhdGgiOiJcL2ZcLzBkNGNhNDU5LTE4ODMtNDdkNi04ZjIxLWI2YjAwMjg1MjU3YVwvZDJqbW9xbC1hM2ZmMDRiZS01NzcyLTQ5N2EtODNkMS00ZGMzMWViMmM3OTAuanBnIn1dXSwiYXVkIjpbInVybjpzZXJ2aWNlOmZpbGUuZG93bmxvYWQiXX0.vh1hrSoRkiaIGtA4PftcT0gpk_ZFHwBBTZ1iwEusYcQ that shows off his physique]]. Unfortunately for the ladies, it becomes FanDisservice quickly when he absorbs [[TheVirus Ouroboros]] activating his OneWingedAngel form. Like the previous examples, it's lampshaded in-universe as Wesker's NumberTwo Excella Gionne is EatingTheEyeCandy in one scene with him.
** Billy Coen from [[VideoGame/ResidentEvil0 RE0]] is an overlooked but blatant example, being a handsome deep-voiced convict who wears a tank top that shows off his muscly arms and tattoo. His alt-costumes also help with this, namely his shirtless "[[https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/residentevil/images/1/1f/Billy_Wolf_Force.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20170505141739 Wolf Force]]" costume. It's even implied the 18-year-old Rebecca Chambers [[SmittenTeenageGirl may have the hots for him]], given the BelligerentSexualTension they have in their cutscenes together.
* ''VideoGame/SengokuBasara'' gives us Sanada Yukimura. Able to effortlessly go from {{Moe}} puppyblob to HotBlooded kickassery at the drop of a hat. And don't even get us started on those [[WalkingShirtlessScene abs]]...
* The main character from ''VideoGame/ShinMegamiTenseiIIINocturne'' spends ''98% of the time'' shirtless. It's practically a shirtless ''[[LogicalExtreme game]]''. The only time the Demi-Fiend wears a shirt is in the prologue (the first 30-60 minutes of a ~50 hour game), before there's any actual gameplay. He's pretty buff, too.
* Starting from ''Soul Calibur IV'', the ''VideoGame/SoulSeries'' has ''every'' male character in can have [[ClothingDamage their armor broken]] during battle and fight shirtless. You can even strip all the male characters down to just ''underwear'', ''fundoshi'' and ''thongs'' in the Character Customization menu!
* ''VideoGame/StarFox'' seems to have invoked this as of late with its predominantly male cast, to [[YaoiFangirl its]] [[LGBTFanbase fanbase's]] [[UsefulNotes/FurryFandom glee]]. The most obvious example is [[LargeHam Wolf]].
* Albel Nox from ''VideoGame/StarOceanTillTheEndOfTime'' has an outfit that features a completely purple ensemble including a tight, belly-revealing shirt and a purple skirt. He also has an unlockable shirtless outfit (with {{sarashi}}!), an imprisonment scene, permanent shackles at his neck and wrists, and {{panty shot}}s.
* ''Franchise/StreetFighter'':
** THE original MrFanservice in fighting games is Ryu. TallDarkAndHandsome? Check. HeroicBuild? Check. Badass inside the battlefield and a mix of SociallyAwkwardHero and NiceGuy outside? Check. Goes barefoot? Check. Friends of both genders that he can be {{ship tease}}d with once in a while? Check. The fifth game upped it even more with one of their DLC costumes: "Hot Ryu" has MessyHair, quite the [[ShirtlessScene bare chest]], the mother of {{Heroic Build}}, and a beard which screams nothing but fanservice.
** Vega is a {{Bishonen}} whose ridiculously muscly and in the [=SFV=] can pull off the frilly shirt. Unfortunately, he's a AxCrazy narcissist which spoils some of his sex appeal.
** There's also Charlie Nash, who originally appeared in the ''Alpha'' games. He came back in ''V'' looking like Frankenstein's monster but sporting a vest that displays his firmly toned chest, the abs remained ''untouched''.
** Urien and Gill are also notable walking glasses of fanservice for players to drink in. Impeccable bodies only rivaled by Greek gods, wearing nothing but ''thongs''...
*** From the same game series, [[https://i.pinimg.com/originals/22/b6/a7/22b6a7e0405550bd612685796edf41ce.jpg there's Alex]].
* The ''VideoGame/{{Suikoden}}'' games all have a pair of combination attacks ("Pretty Boy(s)" and "Fancy Lad(s)") where that game's collection of {{bishonen}} gang up to attack the enemy. Needless to say, there's usually at least one who qualifies for this trope.
** ''VideoGame/SuikodenTierkreis'' is unusually equal-opportunity in its {{fanservice}}, with a sizable portion of the male cast being {{Walking Shirtless Scene}}s. The most obvious is Asad the badass, HotBlooded, DoggedNiceGuy mage commander, but there are quite a few others.
* ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBros'': Out of all the armor options they could use for his pallet swaps, only [[VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles1 Shulk's]] [[WalkingShirtlessScene swimsuit outfit]] was retained. [[VideoGame/FireEmblemShadowDragonAndTheBladeOfLight Marth]] and [[VideoGame/FireEmblemPathOfRadiance Ike]] seem to get the more downplayed treatment occasionally, and there is a possible InUniverse example in [[VideoGame/FireEmblemTheBindingBlade Roy]] if screenshots are to be believed. And four other examples listed here, [[Franchise/TheLegendOfZelda Link]], [[VideoGame/MetalGear Solid Snake]], [[VideoGame/PunchOut Little Mac]], [[Franchise/StreetFighter Ryu]], have all appeared in the games.
* ''VideoGame/TheTaleOfFood'':
** Buddha-Jumps-Over-the-Wall (a.k.a. Fú Shòuquán, Lord Fú), and ''how''. Much gushing attention is paid to how sensual and charismatic he is in-universe, especially the fact he's SmellsSexy ''incarnate''. He also has a penchant for flirting and smooth-talking, and gains crowds of adoring fans as a result. The very first thing a new player sees upon starting the game proper is the scene of his crawling on top of the player character in a sexually suggestive manner.
** To a lesser extent, Dēngyǐng Niúròu. He is a well-built man who wears {{Stripperific}} clothes and is, to put it mildly, [[LovableSexManiac rather slutty]].
* ''VideoGame/TalesSeries'':
** ''VideoGame/TalesOfDestiny'': Leon Magnus is one, as a dark-haired [[TheWoobie woobie]] {{Bishounen}}. He attracts women all around (Lampshaded in skits, much to his dismay). There is official art of him ''in bondage''. Prince Garr/Woodrow also serves one as in-universe example, attracting women all around (it seems to have to do with his "princely aura".)
** ''VideoGame/TalesOfTheAbyss'': Luke with his midriff baring shirt and ripped abs; ([[ShirtlessScene and seems to lose the shirt altogether in many of his alternate outfits]]).
** ''VideoGame/TalesOfVesperia'': Yuri Lowell, anyone? His outfits had built in chest exposure. Some of his alternate outfits (especially in the Japanese [=PS3=] version) involve showing a fair bit of skin, or have him in skin-tight outfits.
* ''Franchise/{{Tekken}}'' has ''lots'' of them, with Jin Kazama and his [[AllGirlsWantBadBoys rival]] Hwoarang being the notable forerunners of this trope. Other examples from the older generation are Kazuya Mishima, Lee Chaolan, and even Mr. Heihachi Mishima ''himself''. Nowadays this trope still runs strong within the series, especially with character customization that strips the fighters down to just underwear and fundoshi (and in Lee's case, a 'speedo')!
* ''VideoGame/ToukenRanbu'' has gained a massive female (and gay male) fanbase thanks to this trope, what with many of the characters being full-on hunks and bishonen:
** Kogitsunemaru is tall (despite his name meaning "little fox"), handsome, has long white hair with two spikes resembling fox ears and both his default outfits partly have his abs and chest on display, with one showing off his muscular arms in addition. He'll even offer to carry the player in his arms princess-style.
** Tonbokiri of the yari group is pretty rugged and muscular in his own right, as his main outfit shows.
** The same can also be said for Nenekirimaru and Nagasone.
* ''VideoGame/{{Undertale}}'''s Mettaton is not only [[spoiler:as attractive as the game's pixellated sprite-based art style allows for when he's in his pretty, gracefully-posing EX form]], he ''revels'' in the fact that he's viewed as this in-universe; apparently, he's released twenty-seven movies each "consisting mostly of a single four-hour shot of rose petals showering [his] reclining body" and visited Undyne's house just so he could [[SittingSexyOnAPiano lie seductively on her piano]] while feeding himself grapes. Apparently this started with most of the Underground knowing him as a [[TinCanRobot big talking monitor with arms on a unicycle wheel]] -- and he implies on the Genocide path that he considers the rectangle form the ''more'' attractive one. Seems confidence really does go a long way in making someone seem hotter.
-->'''Burgerpants''': Why do people find him so attractive? ''He's literally just a freaking rectangle!''
* ''VideoGame/VagrantStory'' has [[ImplacableMan Ashley]] in his assless battleshorts, muscle-revealing shirtfront, and improbable red hair, or the shirtless [[AntiVillain Sydney]] with his barely-hanging-on pants and dramatic buttcape.
* ''VideoGame/WorldOfWarcraft'':
** The male Blood Elf player character could qualify as this, appearing in the game at about the same time Blizzard began to realize they had a significant female playerbase. At the very least, his original model was pretty enough that the male fans set up a howling outcry until the developers bulked up his muscles. He still has much more delicate facial features and ''much'' more fabulous hair options than any of the other male models. And, by extension, male Void Elves as well.
** Wrathion's [[ProgressivelyPrettier upgraded]] humanoid form as of ''Battle for Azeroth'' seems to have been specifically designed to appeal to players who prefer men. [[TallDarkAndHandsome Sultry looks]]? Enticing voice? Charming, sassy attitude? This dragon ticks all the boxes.
** Illidan has had a good amount of fangirls ever since his appearance in Warcraft 3, and given he's a [[WalkingShirtlessScene always shirtless]] elf with a muscular build (and tattoos) to show off, a backstory tragic enough to consider him a [[TheWoobie woobie]], and his general [[TallDarkAndHandsome dark and broody]] aura, it's not hard to see why. His twin brother Malfurion gets plenty of appreciation too, though slightly less due to his more eccentric attire choices and being very taken.
** King Rastakhan of the Zandalari. His attire consists of a wide belt and a large headdress. While most trolls tend to show skin, they do live in the jungle after all, Rastakhan not only shows off more but looks better doing it. He also has a deep sexy voice with an attractive vaguely East African accent. It also helps that he's a widower who loves and deeply respects his headstrong daughter.
** Frequently invoked by players especially on human, blood elf, night elf, orc, troll or draenei males. There are a fair number of skimpy armor pieces in the game (although fewer for males than females), and players sometimes deliberately put them together to create what are commonly called "slutmogs" (which, despite the inclusion of the s-word, is not meant as an insult). While fewer people do this for male characters than for female ones, it is not altogether uncommon.
** For Nightbourne elves, this is practically the default state for all males. In this case, the fanservice isn't just directed at the audience either: it's for the female Nightbourne. Nightbourne society is strongly matriarchal: so pretty much all tropes will get gender-inverted.
