->Sookie: [T]here's this vampire bar where Maudette and Dawn use to hang out at in Shreveport. You know it?\
Bill: Fangtasia.\
Sookie: Fang-tasia?\
Bill: You have to remember that most vampires are very old. Puns used to be the highest form of humor.

In UrbanFantasy settings where vampires exist, there is an interesting tendency for one or more of the vampire characters to own night clubs.

Naturally, when you (usually) can't go out during the day, subsist on the blood of humans, can't enter someone's home without an invitation, and are part of a mythological race that is commonly associated with sex, wealth, and a lack of inhibitions, such a business venture makes sense. You can operate during the night without anyone batting an eye, you can get your prey to come to you, and hey, everyone wants to have a little fun now and again even if they're dead, right?

* In the first Anime/Hellsing anime, the Valentine brothers own a nightclub. All the women that work at the club are vampires, too.

* ComicBook/DeKiekeboes: In "Het Witte Bloed" ("The White Blood") a doctor of a plasma bank uses the blood of his patients to establish a bar for vampires.

* "The Blue Blood" in Fanfic/ShadowchasersBackwater is run by Fayte Nyte, although it's no secret to Backwater residents that she is a vampire. Aside from its obvious abundance of Shadowkind clientele and employees, it seems an average nightclub for the most part. (It is known to have some very expensive cocktails available; one mentioned is Falkmoon a potent vintage that was invented by vampires that requires centuries of aging. A small glass sells for nearly $500.)

* Film/Bit: Duke and co. own an underground night club, where they also live somewhat. It's useful for bringing human prey right to them. Or sometimes, finding new women to turn, like Laurel. This makes sense as light (though not fatal) is blinding to them and makes vampires sick.
* Film/Blade1998 begins with a vampire luring a young man to a secret club in a butchery, where vampires rave and suck people dry as sprinklers intermittently douse them in blood. It turns out this is an unusual establishment set up by upstart young vampire Deacon Frost. He's creating these clubs in defiance of the traditionalist vampire council's dictates to avoid large gatherings of their kind to keep up TheMasquerade.
* The vampires in Film/FromDuskTillDawn operate a bordertown, off-highway strip club known as the Titty Twister, located just above their home temple in Mexico.
* Series/2023: In the 1923 part of the story, Woo-sik the vampire is shown operating a ritzy nightclub that caters to humans and vampires alike. We see only in the first episode, however, as Woo-sik goes to sleep for 100 years before waking in 2023, with the nightclub long since closed.
* In a twist, the mafia boss who gets turned in Film/InnocentBlood already controls a nightclub in addition to a large number of other businesses.
* In Film/TheMatrixReloaded, vampires and werewolves work in a nightclub owned by their French boss.
* In Film/ModernVampires Dracula himself owns a night club, but the place is obviously for vampire clientele as the only humans are there to be served.
* Creator/VincentPrice's character in Film/TheMonsterClub either owns or at least manages the titular club, which is as much an all-monster social club as a nightclub.
* In Film/QueenOfTheDamned, the vampires use this as places to attract their victims, as there are people who seem to get off on being fed on. Jesse is almost killed after venturing near such a club in downtown London before she's saved by Lestat in the nick of time. Akasha later enters the same place in search of Lestat and soon starts a massacre.
* Film/Vamp (1986) had a vampire-owned bar. More like a strip club.
* An early example in the 1945 Creator/RepublicPictures horror film The Vampire's Ghost, where the vampiric Webb Fallon runs a nightclub in colonial Africa. He preys on the riverboat crews that come looking for a place to gamble, as well as on the local Africans. Possibly the TropeMaker, which is impressive for such an obscure, largely-forgotten movie.
* In a more sophisticated variation, there's a vampire restaurant in Film/VaultOfHorror. It offers blood served different ways for a five-course dinner, but entertainment and dancing aren't part of the package.
* In Film/WeAreTheNight, Louise, Charlotte and Nora, a trio of vampiresses, own the nightclub the first bit Lena in.
* Like all the other vampire tropes, Film/WhatWeDoInTheShadows parodies and deconstructs this. There is a vampire-owned nightclub that the main cast frequents, but it's not very good and never attracts a crowd. Because the vampires are unable to get into a real nightclub without an explicit invitation from the staff, they have no idea what they're actually like.

* Jean-Claude from the Literature/AnitaBlake series owns several, including "Guilty Pleasures" (a male strip club where the performers are vampires and shape-shifters), "The Laughing Corpse" (a comedy club), and "Danse Macabre" (a dance club).
* Piscary from Literature/TheHollows owned one, later managed by Kisten after Piscary goes to prison.
* Karen E. Taylor's Literature/VampireLegacy series features a vampire-owned night club.
* In Literature/TheDresdenFiles, Bianca--a vampire of the Red Court--runs the Velvet Room, although it is more of a high-class call girl ring than strictly a nightclub. The White Court of vampires, who survive on lust and sexual energy, are primarily invested in the pornography industry, but also run the creepy sex club called Zero. When he visits, Harry Dresden recognizes that the name refers to zero boundaries, inhibitions and limitations, but when he sees the purely mechanical acts being performed he realizes that it also means zero fulfillment. Harry shudders at the thought, realizing that the Club Zero is a taste of what would happen if the White Court ran the world. Their ultimate goal is Planet Zero.
* In the Literature/KittyNorville series, vampires owned nightclubs before they were widely known to exist. And since these vampires could hypnotize and play with people's memories, the bitten tend to go home remembering what a great time they had.
* Lady Crymsyn by P. N. Elrod. It's both the name of a book in the Vampire Files series and of the club the main character owns for the rest of the series.
* A variation in Sweetblood. A man who claims to be a vampire holds huge parties at his house for goths and for others who claim to be vampires.
* In Kelly Armstrong's series Literature/Women of the Otherworld, there is a bar that is completely run by vampires in the book Broken.
* Marianne Mancusi's Blood Coven series features a nightclub run by the leader of the eponymous coven as a recurring location. Interestingly, the "getting your prey to come to you" aspect isn't really present. Members of the Blood Coven only feed from voluntary donors, who are put through a rigorous screening process, are allowed to leave with their skins intact, and are paid handsomely for their trouble.
* Literature/Discworld:
** The Night Life section in The Complete Ankh-Morpork City Guide lists the Heaving Bosom, an exclusive night club run by the Uberwald League of Temperance, which specialises in serving red wine at body temperature and a sort of scarlet absinthe that will probably kill anyone who's alive before they drink it.
** Biers is a bar frequented and run by TheUndead, including mostly vampires and werewolves.
* Literature/TheSookieStackhouseMysteries discusses this. Vampire nightclubs like Fangtasia are much more lucrative than, say, all-night groceries and dry cleaners, which is why vampires tend to own them instead.
* Inverted by Fletcher Knowles, club manager/bartender at Basilisk, in the Literature/DanShambleZombiePI series. He's a living human who caters to a vampire clientele, excluding all mirrors or reflective surfaces from the premises and arranging for the occasional shipment of not-yet-expired plasma from shady blood banks that really ought to be saving the fresh stuff for transfusions, not bar stock.
* Literature/TheLaundryFiles: Trope in The Rhesus Chart. Their vampires are essentially serial killers, so need to pick victims that no one will miss. That means the elderly or homeless runaways, not pretty young things who can afford to go to nightclubs.
* Literature/NightWorld:
** Vampires own a chain of exclusive nightclubs called The Black Iris, which are used as meeting places for vampires and occasionally other Night People.
** In Literature/TheChosen1997, Rashel discovers that many of the girls who went missing had been visiting The Crypt, a gothic-themed underground nightclub. Upon investigating, she realizes that a vampire slave ring owns The Crypt, and are using it to lure and abduct vulnerable girls.

* Lillie Langtry from Series/KindredTheEmbraced owned the night club "The Haven".
* Janette in Series/ForeverKnight owned the night club and popular vamp hang-out "The Raven"; when she left the show, her sire [=LaCroix=] took it over and made it more fanservice-y.
-->[=LaCroix=]: It's time to peel away the layers and reveal our inner selves. Yes, it's Amateur Night at the Raven, and tonight our amateurs will reveal their inner selves by GETTING NAKED!
* The Buffyverse features an even wider variety of demon bars, oft portrayed as a BadGuyBar except for Lorne's place "Caritas". Most of these serve blood. There are also places like vampire-run pseudo-brothels where humans can go and pay to be fed on by vampires, since being fed on by a vampire actually feels good, after the initial 'penetrating the skin like a syringe', as long as the vampire isn't intentionally causing pain and the human isn't struggling and pulling the wound around.
** The episode "The Wish" had the Bronze turned into one of these. Normally, the Bronze is a family-friendly music venue which serves human food, but in the AlternateUniverse that Cordelia wished herself into, the Master, having taken over Sunnydale, uses the place as his base of operations. Humans are kept in cages and tied up on the pool tables, where they are fed on by the vampires partying around them.
* A vampire's efforts to open a nightclub kicked off the plot of the Series/HouseOfFrankenstein1997 TV miniseries.
* Series/InterviewWithTheVampire2022: Not precisely, although Louis owns several brothels and gambling dens, which allows him one more excuse to operate after dark since that's when they get most of their business.
* Lucifer Morningstar from Series/Lucifer2016 owns the Lux nightclub in Los Angeles, giving him lots of celebrity and criminal contacts for granting a DealWithTheDevil.
* A 700-year-old vampire named Lola owns a night club in an episode of Series/Moonlight, using it as a front for her vampire drug operation. There is a VIP section that requires one to have a chip implanted into the hand that confirms one's identity and VIP status. This is because the VIP section is where the drug is sold.
* Series/TrueBlood has Fangtasia, owned by Eric Northman and Pam Swynford de Beaufort, which acts as Eric's vampire kingdom castle. Between the red wallpaper, the t-shirt store, and the weirdos dressed in leather and collars, Fangtasia looks like, as Sookie describes it, a vampire club if it was designed by Disney. It use to be a late night video rental store when Eric was first assigned to it before he got bored and remodeled the place.
* The Series/DantesCove spinoff The Lair centers on a gay sex club run by a coven of vampires.
* Series/WhatWeDoInTheShadows2019:
** The "king of the Manhattan vampires", Simon the Devious, runs a nightclub.
** Season 4 reveals that wanting to start a nightclub is a common goal for vampires who get promoted to the Worldwide Supreme Vampiric Council, and another member shuts Nadja down when she proposes it. Not that it stops her from trying to start one when she moves back to Staten Island.

* In Pinball/MonsterBash, Count Dracula has converted his castle into his personal place for various Halloween creatures to perform and play. It even has those glowing floor tiles and its own disco ball!

* TabletopGame/VampireTheMasquerade and TabletopGame/VampireTheRequiem
** Something of an understated tradition. Any good court will set up a Rack or two where its citizens can feed without anyone getting pissy about territory. And as the humans often gather at bars and nightclubs, and it's much better to manage these things if you're the owner.
** There's an entire supplement book about "The Succubus Club", a legendary vampire night club in UsefulNotes/Chicago. Later in the line, The Succubus Club became a touring production that's the Kindred equivalent of a circuit party, while also being the hot underground event that mortals are dying to get into (sometimes literally). Other vampire clubs have cropped up to fill the gap in Chicago.
** In addition, The Asylum from Bloodlines has now become a franchise. [=PCs=] can own their own branch with the right Loresheet.
** In Requiem, the Mabry bloodline of the Gangrel have a knack for setting these up, making a hunting habit of setting up roadhouses and back-country bars that pick off travelers and nomads before eventually pulling up roots when the bodies stack too high.
* In the city of Lekar in TabletopGame/Ravenloft, the living monstrous-humanoid vampyres own "feeding houses": sordid clubs where they can pick up victims, and which double as fighting-pits for human-vs-monster gladitorial duels.

* VideoGame/VampireTheMasqueradeBloodlines has four of them: "Asylum", owned by Therese and Jeanette Voerman, "Asp Hole", owned by Ash, "Vesuvius", (a strip club) owned by Velvet Velour, and "Confession", which is owned by human Venus Dare but can be co-owned by the vampire PlayerCharacter.
* VideoGame/SamAndMaxBeyondTimeAndSpace: In "Night of the Raving Dead", Jurgen's evil lair doubles as a nightclub for zombies.
* In VideoGame/TheSims 2 Nightlife expansion, while vampires don't exactly own nightclubs, the only way to find the Grand Vampires (and turn your Sim into a vampire without cheats) is at Downtown lots.
** Can be PlayedStraight with both the Nightlife and Open For Business expansion packs, as OFB lets your Sim own community lots to run as businesses, which means a vampire Sim can literally run their own nightclub.
** Similarly in The Sims 3, nightclubs and vampires were introduced in the same expansion pack, and said expansion pack included "Vampire Lounge" as a nightclub option.
* VideoGame/TheMatrixPathOfNeo: it's not exactly stated in-game (likely it's their master's club), but you do have to fight through a BDSM-style club of vampires.
* Dark has The Sanctuary, which serves as a hub for in between missions.
* VisualNovel/Tsukihime: Played with. Most vampires shown or spoken of in the series have cut themselves off from human society, because they consider themselves above humanity. The one exception is a vampire lord named Van-Fem, who has become a successful businessman and prominent socialite (though, naturally, he keeps his vampiric nature secret), his main venture being a luxury cruise ship/casino in Monaco. He's considered weird and eccentric by the rest, but they do acknowledge that his material wealth comes in handy for certain things.
* VideoGame/Deadbolt: A number of missions against the 1000 Year Royals, a criminal organization composed entirely of vampires, take place in nightclubs owned by them. It's implied that the hedonistic partying is how they deal with the horror of being undead.

* Parodied at one point in Webcomic/TheAdventuresOfDrMcNinja. The vampires opted for UsefulNotes/TheRedCross instead of night clubs.
* Carmilla in Webcomic/ThisIsTheWorstIdeaYouveEverHad.
* Specifically averted in this story arc from Webcomic/FullFrontalNerdity -- they choose to run an IHOP instead.
* In Webcomic/WereGeek the geeks hang out at a goth nightclub after their Vampire: The Masquerade LARP sessions. And the owner of the club is actually a former player, who rejoins the game in one arc.
* As seen in the epilogue of Webcomic/BiteMe, [[spoiler:Ginevra ultimately fits this in the present.]]
* Webcomic/UnholyBlood: The Vampire Lucien owns a night club whose inhabitants consist of vampires under his control. They party and drink blood which is inside alcohol bottles rather than real alcohol.

* Victor Temple of WebVideo/LAByNight owns a nightclub called Club Maharaja. Miranda also runs a burlesque club called La Chat Noire.
