In the late 2000s and 2010s, umbrella cocktails and tiki bars as a whole have gone through a bit of a renaissance, applying craft bartending techniques and high-quality ingredients to classic recipes, due in no small part to bartender and author Jeff "Beachbum" Berry, who extensively researched and recovered lost recipes.
