While the exact first game to implement this is unknown, certain games like ''VideoGame/UltimaVI'' (using links in the dialogue to introduce topics of conversation), ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyI'', and the opening scroll to ''Franchise/StarWars: Film/ANewHope'' (putting the DEATH STAR in [[CapsLock all caps]]) come to mind.
