[[caption-width-right:300: The answer is surprisingly complicated.]]

This is a specific type of title that poses a question to the reader or to a certain character. The question may relate to the work's ArcWords in some way, or it may be the Arc Words. The answer may be explicitly given, implied, or left ambiguous.

In Hollywood, using such titles is considered bad luck and many writers and studios try to avoid using them (with the few exceptions, such as ''Film/WhoFramedRogerRabbit'', often doing things such as dropping the question mark to avoid being cursed).

[[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betteridge%27s_law_of_headlines Many of these can be answered with a "no".]]

* Season 2 of ''Manga/KaguyaSamaLoveIsWar'' added a question mark to reflect how the DuelOfSeduction that the first season revolved around has less focus.
* Half of the episode titles in the original season of ''Anime/MagicalGirlLyricalNanoha'' are worded as questions, such as "Is This a Mysterious Encounter?", because its IdiosyncraticEpisodeNaming required the word "nano" to be added at the end of every episode title in the original Japanese, which roughly translates to "isn't it?". Interestingly, the [[Anime/MagicalGirlLyricalNanohaAs second season]] followed suit (at least until [[WhamEpisode Episode 9]]) but didn't have any question episode titles.

* ''Fanfic/StoryShuffle2DoubleMasters'': [[https://www.fimfiction.net/story/469652/10/story-shuffle-2-double-masters/whos-afraid "Who's Afraid?"]], as a reference to the phrase "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?", and possibly the line "I Ain't Afraid of No Ghost" from the ''Film/{{Ghostbusters|1984}}'' theme song, as it deals with what's basically ghost wolves, but are more LivingMemory.
* ''Fanfic/SteelSoulSaga'': From ''Steel Spirit'': [[https://www.fimfiction.net/story/82359/5/steel-spirit/input-functionality "Input Functionality"]] when discussing a new song. Presumably, the "Ah", is actually "I", but it's spoken with a FunetikAksent as typical for Apple Bloom and her family. Although, the question mark is likely more supposed to be due to Apple Bloom mentioning it as part of a question:
--> Scootaloo shrugged. "Alright. So, either of you catch that last Sapphire Shores album?"\
