->'''Goku:''' Hey, no fair! I can't pull swords out of ''my'' body.\
'''Sansho:''' Stand still and you will!
-->-- ''WebVideo/DragonBallZAbridged: [[Recap/DragonBallZAbridgedM6 Dead Zone]]''

This is pretty simple: weapons getting pulled out of people. In some settings, it's only one or two people who can do it; in others, it's just the way things are. In some cases, the weapon's appearance and type will be based on the personality of who it's coming out of.

Not to be confused with a character [[LodgedBladeRecycling using a weapon they had been stabbed with]]. Related to EquippableAlly and RetractableWeapon.

[[folder:Anime & Manga]]
* Saiga in ''Manga/BeetTheVandelBuster'' appear in this fashion. The weapons are often indicative of the abilities, if not the personality, of their wielders.
* This happens in the second season of ''Manga/BlackButler'' (anime only). [[spoiler:Hannah Annafellows is also known as 'The Sheathe of the Demonic Sword' -- hidden inside her body is a {{BFS}} which is the only weapon capable of inflicting [[DeaderThanDead final death]] on a demon.]] The process of getting it out is... [[NightmareFuel nasty]].
* In ''Anime/DragonBallZDeadZone'' Goku battles two minions who rip swords out of their bodies.
* ''Anime/{{FLCL}}'': Haruko repeatedly pulls robots and guitars out of Naota's head.
* ''Anime/GuiltyCrown'': this is Shu's power.
* ''Anime/{{Kiba}}'': Shard casters fight using special marbles called shards to summon monsters, cast spells, and power lightsaber-like weapons. The shards are stored in a strange symbol-like organ whose location varies depending on the caster which they touch to draw shards from them. For example, Zed's shard organ is located on his left hand and forearm with the slots on the backside.
* Orochimaru from ''Manga/{{Naruto}}'' stores his {{Kusanagi}} sword inside his body and frequently pulls it from his own mouth to fight.
* Some magical girl powers in ''Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica'' work like this, as we do see Sayaka pull a sword at one point. Mami is somewhere between this and BagOfHolding, in that she can grab guns from anywhere in her clothes.
* In ''Anime/RevolutionaryGirlUtena''. At first it's just Anthy, but [[spoiler: in the second and third arcs, all the duelists have this happen to them, either violently or [[DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything consensually.]]]]
* ''Manga/{{Shitsurakuen}}'' has this as a mechanic of the game that encompasses the entire school.
* ''Manga/SummerTimeRendering'': Shadows can carry several objects within themselves by storing the data in their brains and [[SpontaneousWeaponCreation generating a copy of the object]] whenever it is needed. Shadow Ushio uses this power to store things like weapons, an extra change of clothing, and items that may or may not be relevant later on in the story, while Shadow Mio carries her knife and at one point several giant crates full of fireworks.
* ''Manga/{{X1999}}'':
** Arashi Kishuu pulls her CoolSword out of her own palm when needed.
** The two [[CoolSword Shin]][[{{BFS}} ken]] are also taken out from human bodies, and depending on the medium they emerge from [[spoiler:Saya Monou and Tokiko Magami]] (manga and TV series) or [[spoiler:Tokiko's older sister Tohru and Saya's daughter Kotori]] (movie). In all cases, it's an extremely messy process that kills the host.

[[folder:Comic Books]]
* ''Franchise/MarvelUniverse'': The symbiotes are amorphous symbiotic lifeforms once described as [[StarfishAlien "living tesseracts"]]. It doesn't come up much after Spider-Man's first arc before separating from Venom, but they can store objects within themselves without changing their apparent mass.
* In ''ComicBook/{{Runaways}}'' Nico's magic staff is located inside her body, and to get it her blood must be spilled.
* ComicBook/ScottPilgrim does this to himself. Twice.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Films -- Live-Action]]
* ''Film/TheFifthElement'': Dallas pulls the stones, which are fragments of the Ultimate Weapon, out of the body of the opera singer.
* While in the ''Franchise/MortalKombat'' games, Scorpion's spear was just something he threw, in [[Film/MortalKombatTheMovie the movie]], it comes from inside his hand. It's also a LivingWeapon.
* The film version of ''Film/ScottPilgrimVsTheWorld'' also features this.
* ''Film/{{Videodrome}}'' has the main character pull a gun out of his body. It's rather unpleasant.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Literature]]
* ''Literature/CradleSeries'': At the peak of the Truegold level, a [[SupernaturalMartialArts sacred artist]] can learn to open their soulspace, a tiny space in their soul that can hold a physical object. It takes time for it to grow large enough to hold anything useful, and most people use it for an emergency weapon. Its most important use, however, is that it can hold soulfire, which is required to reforge a body and become an Underlord. The Akura family uses an expensive process to open their children's soulspaces at a much lower advancement level, since it is required for them to bond with the mystical tomes that form the basis of the family Paths.
* ''Literature/LabyrinthsOfEcho'' had Max became a storage of an ancient king's sword, to turn him "less alive" and less of a death magnet. He removed and replaced it several times, but tried to avoid this, since it hurt like being stabbed for real. Until Max gave the sword away, whenever he should have been killed by magic he instead found himself in sharp pain, with torn clothes, a sword hilt sticking out of the sternum and looking not much better than a corpse (it hurts ''a lot''). This was even exploited for intimidation value.
* In Improfanfic story ''Do-Gooders'', Matsuro learns in the second chapter that he can pull his Sword of Duality (#9 of 20) from his stomach. It takes him three more chapters and a loose soda can in his room to figure out how to put it back.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Live-ActionTV]]
* ''Series/PowerRangersTimeForce'' had a BigBad with the ability to pull weapons from his body. It looked ''agonizing.''
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Manhua]]
* ''Manhua/RavagesOfTime'': Weapons hidden via swallowing (to be regurgitated when necessary) are a common way for assassins to get past full-body searches.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Myths & Religion]]
* In the ''Literature/BookOfRevelation'', UsefulNotes/{{Jesus}} is described in a vision by John as having a sword coming out of His mouth. Keep in mind, though, that the Book of Revelation is rather figurative.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Video Games]]
* The Raiden Shogun in ''VideoGame/GenshinImpact'' draws her sword Musou Isshin [[VictoriasSecretCompartment from her chest]]. It's not clear exactly how she is able to do this. [[spoiler: You could argue it is because she is a synthetic construct, but Ei is able to do it, too. More confusingly, for much of the game, Ei resides in a PocketDimension inside the sword itself, yet can draw the sword while there. Is this dimension recursive somehow?]]
* ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaSkywardSword'': We know Fi's the Goddess/Master Sword, right? Well, [[spoiler: Ghirahim]] is actually a sword too, and when [[spoiler: Demise is resurrected, Demise yanks the sword that is Ghirahim right out of Ghirahim's body.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Visual Novels]]
* In the Heaven's Feel route of ''VisualNovel/FateStayNight'', Shirou suffers a SuperPowerMeltdown, in it's final stage it manifest as PowerIncontinence, and since his main hability is to Summon and Materialize Weapons(mainly Swords), they start coming out of his body, while it is quite painful and reduces his mobility, on his final battle it helps him giving him an edge over his enemy.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Web Animation]]
* In ''WebAnimation/MonkeyWrench'', Shrike Sanchez has some kind of portal in the back of his head. He keeps various odds and ends in here, including his [[EnergyWeapon blasters]], his tablet and several rolls of duct tape, and can pull them out at a moment's notice.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Western Animation]]
* In ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic'', Pinkie Pie does this. She keeps a ''very'' large stash of items in her mane, including her ubiquitous party cannon.
* ''WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse'':
** Pearl's method of summoning her spear is to pull it from the gem in her forehead. Though all Gems summon their weapons from their gem, hers is the most obviously "pulled out". She can also store random objects in her head.
** Garnet is shown summoning an object in the early Season 1 episode, "[[Recap/StevenUniverseS1E8SeriousSteven Serious Steven]]", but it's unclear if it came out of her gemstone.
** Lion also keeps a weapon in his head-- [[spoiler: Rose's sword.]] Both him and Pearl's storage methods have visual nods to ''Anime/RevolutionaryGirlUtena''. Apparently he can also keep stuff in his ''throat'', no PocketDimension involved.
** In a more physical version, the fusion of two Topazes unfuse and fuse again on both sides someone, ''trapping them in her body.'' The fused Topaz is [[GiantMook so huge]] that she can easily walk around with multiple people stuck inside her. [[spoiler:This is apparently the standard method of transporting [[AlienAbduction humans taken captive by Homeworld]].]] There no risk of her suffering organ damage because her HardLight body [[BizarreAlienBiology seems to be a solid mass with no internal organs]].
