Even when Taran escapes with a few prisoners, the Horned King gets his forces to follow Taran, deducing that he and his new friends will track down the location of the Black Cauldron. And upon recapturing Taran and his friends and nabbing the Black Cauldron, the Horned King gets the heroes tied up before using the Cauldron to create his undead army known as the Cauldron Born, [[BadBoss not caring when some of the undead warriors killed a few of his human soldiers which drove the rest to flee in terror.]] However, he didn't anticipate the possibility that a small furry creature named Gurgi would arrive to rescue Taran and the others before [[HeroicSacrifice sacrificing himself into the Cauldron to kill all the undead warriors, thus foiling the Horned King's plan and getting him destroyed by the Cauldron's power]]. |

Of course, if Dawson hadn't convinced Basil to snap out of his misery, Basil wouldn't have found a weakness in the trap that would've allowed him and Dawson to escape, and Ratigan would've succeeded in his plot. And even when Basil succeeded in foiling Ratigan's plot and rescuing both Hiram and Olivia, this only drives Ratigan to take out all his rage against Basil by thrashing him to a pulp at Big Ben, and he would've succeeded in killing Basil if it weren't for dumb luck on Basil's part. |

Even in death, she almost [[TakingYouWithMe takes Eric down with her]]. As a result, Ursula's contracts lose their validity thus allowing Triton the right to turn Ariel into a full-time human and finally sharing her long awaited kiss with Eric. |

Hadn't Quasimodo mustered enough strength to ring the bells and break the chains to free himself, Frollo would've succeeded. |
