There are some book series that just seem to go on forever. They create epic journeys and worlds that feel almost three-dimensional. They take up entire shelves of book cases all by themselves. These are some of the largest and [[LongRunner longest running]] series in the literary world.

In order to count as one of these a series must meet all of the following conditions:
* Published over the course of at least ten years.
* Contain at least ten books.
* An ExpandedUniverse is not a series, though there may be series long enough to count inside an ExpandedUniverse.

A subtrope of PrintLongRunners.

'''A Administrivia/{{No Recent Examples|please}} rule applies to this trope''' and examples shouldn't be added until '''10 years''' after the series debuted, even if more than ten books are published before that point.
