-> ''"...if it's a straight man who creates the first perfect robot-human duplicate, its gonna be a woman because I guarantee you the first thing he plans to do with it is have sex with it."''

Whenever a female protagonist has to consult with or bring in an expert on some obscure and/or technical subject, said expert will invariably turn out to be socially awkward and generally unattractive, but [[AbhorrentAdmirer clearly smitten with her]]. A Horny Scientist is not, as a rule, sexually aggressive, and may in fact turn out to be strangely endearing in [[UglyCute his]] [[GeekyTurnOn own]] [[GiveGeeksAChance geeky]] [[NerdsAreSexy way]], but rarely actually becomes even a TemporaryLoveInterest.

Note, if this is a horny ''MadScientist'', expect their creations to be somewhat... Freudian at the very least. Compare NerdsArePervs, in which nerdy characters are depicted as sex-obsessed, often with deviant preferences and lecherous instincts.

!!Examples:

[[foldercontrol]]

[[folder:Anime & Manga]]
* ''Anime/CowboyBebop: [[Anime/CowboyBebopKnockinOnHeavensDoor Knockin' on Heaven's Door]]'' has one, who makes Elektra agree to go on a date with him in exchange for testing her blood for the MacGuffin.
* ''Anime/CrossAnge'': Downplayed with Dr. Gecko, who's shown constantly trying to get into Tusk's pants (much to [[ClingyJealousGirl Ange's]] displeasure), but her interest is more due to getting the chance to examine a purely human male anatomy ForScience.
* ''Manga/DefenseDevil'': The titular character is a female example, who never stop flirting and showing off in very {{Stripperiffic}} outfits whenever the male protagonist comes to her for help.
* There are two in the Black Order's Asian Branch in ''Manga/DGrayMan'': Director Bak Chang, who has the hots for Lenalee and stalks her, and minor character Rohfa, who is quite infatuated with Allen.
* Shinra Kishitani from ''Literature/{{Durarara}}''. Unlike most examples, [[CuteMonsterGirl Celty]] actually has to live with him and he wishes that it would stop being a platonic roommate situation (having gotten a crush on her since he was 4, long story). Still, there's some mutual feelings between them and he's far more attractive than the usual example. [[spoiler: It's also not nearly as innocent as most examples, since he has her [[HeadlessHorseman head]], which she's been searching for for years, and is keeping her from finding it.]]
* In ''Literature/KonoSuba'', there was a reincarnated man who was responsible for developing powerful weapons, such as a living War Machine. He also created a sadist robot in order to "Create the perfect girl". This robot would eventually be a menace to Kazuma and his crew.
* ''Manga/{{Naruto}}'': Shiho, the cryptographer with an instant crush on Shikamaru counts as this trope, though she is kind of adorable in a mousy, nerdy way.
* ''Manga/SeitokaiYakuindomo'''s Nene Todoroki is a RareFemaleExample; she is portrayed in a continuous state of arousal given the fact that she seem to always have a dildo sticking up her nether regions, although she hides it well.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Comic Books]]
* Gina Diggers from ''ComicBook/GoldDigger'' is very much an embodiment of this trope. Her libido has [[CharacterDevelopment calmed down a bit over time]], but she and her clone half sister Brianna both have plenty of moments that highlight just how huge their Libido's are.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Films -- Live-Action]]
* Agent J in ''Film/MenInBlack'' mistook a medical examiner for a horny scientist when she was actually nervous (and trying to clue him in on an alien hiding under the table, which he took as {{double entendre}}s).
* Subverted in the first ''Series/CharliesAngels'' film. The socially inept Horny Scientist Sam Rockwell smitten with Dylan Sanders [[spoiler:turns out to be the BigBad using the girls to get to Charlie.]]
* ''Film/XMenFirstClass'': Subverted. When Agent Moira [=MacTaggert=] has to find an expert on genetic mutation (specifically one who has researched the possible manifestation of superpowers in humans), she ends up meeting Charles Xavier on the day he is awarded his [=PhD=] in genetics. Dr. Xavier is horny alright, and he uses his geeky pick-up lines on Moira the instant he sees her. But instead of being undesirable, Charles is a [[PrettyBoy gorgeous]], [[TheCharmer charming]], [[SharpDressedMan well-dressed]] academic--he's even a womanizer to boot. Although Moira brushes off his amorous advances at first to focus on her investigation of the Hellfire Club, she does become Xavier's ImpliedLoveInterest by the finale.
* Dr Frank N. Furter from ''Film/TheRockyHorrorPictureShow'' is a crossdressing alien scientist who creates a FrankensteinsMonster so he can have sex with it though he is better at bedding anything that moves than most examples of this trope.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Literature]]
* In ''Literature/TheSilenceOfTheLambs'', Clarice Starling has to deal with two of them at once - and, if you believe the book and the last few scenes of the movie, ends up dating one of them.
* In ''City Of The Dead'' one of the Doctors has sex with {{zombie|Apocalypse}}s. [[ComicallyMissingThePoint He's not really an assistant, though, so it might not count.]]
* ''Literature/KateDaniels'': The title character has to deal with Saiman's efforts to bed her whenever she needs his assistance.
* ''Literature/{{Twig}}'': One of the protagonists, Helen, is an ArtificialHuman whose creator is widely suspected of being one. Among other things, he designed Helen to be extremely physically attractive. He tries to justify it by claiming she's meant to seduce targets in order to get close enough to assassinate them, but everyone (Helen included) is pretty sure he actually intends to use her as his personal sex toy once she's grown up. [[spoiler:Fortunately, it never comes to that.]]
* ''Literature/TheWheelOfTime'': Downplayed with Herid Fel, the [[NoSocialSkills unsociable]] philosopher whom Rand consults for strategies on winning the FinalBattle. Fel finds Rand's girlfriend Min "too distracting", in his own words, but doesn't make a move on her beyond that.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Live-Action TV]]
* In several episodes of ''Series/StargateSG1'', Samantha Carter deals with the irritating, HornyScientist Rodney [=McKay=] (who was [[EnsembleDarkhorse popular enough]] with audience and the writers that he became a main character on ''Series/StargateAtlantis''). Rodney appears to have the hots for Colonel Carter, considering that he styled his country's ruler in "The Game" on her.
** One wonders if this is to be swept under the rug now that the [[PortmanteauCoupleName McKeller]] 'ship has set sail...
** And then there was Dr. Felger, who not only had a crush on Sam, but idolized SG-1 to the point that he would risk his life to try to impress them by "saving" them after SG-1 was captured by a minor System Lord.
* ''Series/TruCalling'' used one as a main character (in fact, it seems a large percentage of them are medical examiners or pathologists, which may or may not add a layer of {{Squick}} once the FridgeLogic kicks in).
* ''Series/TheXFiles'': Scully had two of these, Agent Pendrell and Frohike of the Lone Gunmen.
** Frohike, while fitting this trope in the first couple of seasons, continued hitting on Scully afterwards because he found it amusing. See "Three of a Kind."
** Rocky the entomologist from "Lord of the Flies", who is so smitten with Scully that it leads to this lovely conversation:
---> '''Rocky''': You know, when a male and female calliphorid fly mate, they stay joined for up to one and a half hours. One and a half, doctor.\
'''Scully''': You know, Rocky... I'm a mother.\
'''Rocky''': Mothers are women, too.
* Richard Sanders made a guest appearance on ''Series/DesigningWomen'' as a scientist with the hots for Charlene.
* ''Series/MurphyBrown'' went out with a brilliant physicist she had interviewed. She expected a quiet evening of stimulating conversation, but found herself accosted by an obnoxious, lecherous CasanovaWannabe.
* An expert consulted in several sketches of ''Radio/RoyalCanadianAirFarce'' is Professor Ick, an unattractive and horny female scientist. She constantly flirts with the interviewers and her explanations always become sexual, usually with pelvic thrusts and moans. She sometimes has a male colleague, who tends to act the same way.
* An arc of ''Series/SiliconValley'' concerns the main characters possibly acquiring the assets of an AI developer who borrowed a lot of capital to build a lifelike female head and shoulders and then program a near-real personality for her. She manages to text the protagonists for help after an innocent conversation makes her realize that what the developer [[{{squick}} does to her every night]] isn't "love".
* One episode of ''Series/TheBigBangTheory'' has an FBIAgent played by Creator/ElizaDushku interview Leonard, only for her to get annoyed since [[AllMenArePerverts he's only interested in hitting on her]]. [[LovableSexManiac Howard]] usually fulfills this role, however.
* ''Series/{{Battlestar Galactica|2003}}'' included one without a female protagonist to focus on. Gaius Baltar is characterized as a brilliant scientist who aspires to having "hot and cold running interns". These tendencies are directly responsible for the Colonial military getting [[CurbStompBattle almost completely routed in a matter of hours]] courtesy of a Cylon HoneyTrap.
* ''Series/OrphanBlack'': Scott has a crush on Cosima and remains a loyal friend even after her IncompatibleOrientation becomes clear.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Video Games]]
* ''VideoGame/Fallout2'': One of the possible team acquisitions is the [[TeensAreMonsters teenage]] drug wizard [[http://www.gamebanshee.com/fallout2/talkingheads/myron.php Myron.]] He is definitely horny and sleazy, to the point he'll offer a [[SlippingAMickey spiked drink]] a female PlayerCharacter with [[BrainlessBeauty high Charisma and low Intelligence]] and ''rape her''.
* ''VideoGame/FalloutNewVegas'' has Dr. Dala in the ''Old World Blues'' DLC. She and the other doctors each became a BrainInAJar so they could continue doing [[ForScience SCIENCE!!!]] after their bodies died. Dr. Dala is the only female among the five, and it's been so long since she last had sex (or for that matter, any sensations involving physical touch) that the player can bring Dr. Dala to mental climax just by ''talking and breathing'' to her.
* Miu Iruma, the Ultimate Inventor in ''VisualNovel/DanganronpaV3KillingHarmony'' is a female example. She's an openly perverse high school GadgeteerGenius who enjoys cleaning out her robot classmate K1-B0's chassis [[{{Robosexual}} way too much.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Webcomics]]
* ''Webcomic/ElGoonishShive'':
** Despite no one ever needing to consult with him, Tedd is clearly this, albeit a successful one - [[spoiler:he and Grace have one of the longest-running relationships in the story.]]
** Dr. Germahn from the Q&A strips is also this, doing stuff like creating potions that [[TheNudifier will make sweat dissolve clothes]].
* ''Webcomic/SluggyFreelance'': Dr. Schlock can be quite the perv. Strangely, even though his specialty is inflatable technology, we've never seen him... let's say, combine work and play. Given his lack of skill with genetics, he presumably succeeded at some point, since [[spoiler:4-U City's Rammer is his son.]]
%% * ''Webcomic/GunnerkriggCourt'': Dr. Disaster [[spoiler:is this towards Jones.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Web Original]]
* Inverted in ''Podcast/WelcomeToNightVale'', in which a non-scientist (Cecil the narrator) starts fangirling every time he sees [[LatinLover Carlos]], Night Vale's resident OmnidisciplinaryScientist.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Western Animation]]
* ''Animation/KapitanBomba'': Associate Professor Teofil Fiutt is responsible for calculating the existence of Fiutt's Mineral, which if inserted into an appropriate core will generate so much energy that, quoting, "holy fuck". His sex drive reaches the point of [[ParodiedTrope absurdity]], as about anything can remind him of something erotic (including '''hydrogen peroxide''') and drive him to chronic masturbation, shown with [[SceneryCensor convenient censorship]]. Eventually he suffers a penile fracture which plagues his life and causes pain whenever he gets an erection, which is often, exacerbated by his extremely dirty mind. He deals with it by the way of ThinkUnsexyThoughts about [[TooSpicyForYogSothoth Dorota Weltmaister]].
%% * ''WesternAnimation/FostersHomeForImaginaryFriends'': Douglas and Adam from "Good Wilt Hunting" are two nerds who totally have the hots for Frankie, perhaps in a ShoutOut to most of the male fans of the show.
%% * Female example: [=DNAmy=] from ''WesternAnimation/KimPossible''.
%% * Sheldon of ''WesternAnimation/MyLifeAsATeenageRobot'' loves [[RobotGirl Jenny]]. [[StalkerWithACrush LOVES]] her.
