-> ''My nose is big! Uh-uh, I'm not ashamed!''\
''Big like a pickle, I'm still getting paid!''\
''I get laid by the ladies, who know I'm in charge''\
''Both how I'm livin' and my nose is large!''

ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin: A weird and funny-looking nose. May or may not be detachable -- who [[{{Pun}} nose]]? Almost always symbolic of the character's personality. The most common shape for these noses is to either be extremely long and narrow like a stick, big and round like a clown nose, or the more {{reali|tyIsUnrealistic}}stic right-triangle nose. It can also have a different color (most commonly red and pink) than the face does. Compare the SinisterSchnoz, which is a ''villain'' having a long nose. Might also be a SizableSemiticNose if used to identify people from the Middle East and their descendants.

May or may not coincide with TheNoseKnows if said nose is actually useful. Not to be confused with a PinocchioNose, the visible tic that gives away when someone is lying, although Literature/{{Pinocchio}}'s nose is an example of both tropes.

[[folder:Advertising]]
* A montage shows actors auditioning to sell an air-freshener. One man burbles enthusiastically over the product, a beautiful woman [[SexSells purrs sensuously over it]], but it's the final applicant who gets the part despite being awful.
-->"It's...err...nice?" ''(turns his head to sniff in approval, showing an enormous nose)''.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Anime & Manga]]
* ''Manga/OnePiece'':
** Usopp has one HELL of a nose, which [[StrongFamilyResemblance he inherited from]] his MissingMom Banchina. Like [[WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants Squidward’s]], it is a common source for comedy within the series, with many characters frequently calling him “Long Nose.”
** Kaku's nose is just as long as Usopp's, and it's ''square''. Of course, people quickly forgot about Kaku's nose and moved on to make fun of [[spoiler:his devil fruit]] once he got it. [[spoiler:It's a giraffe, with the same long square nose.]] At this point, he [[spoiler:uses it as a weapon. Instead of the [[FingerPokeOfDoom finger pistol]] move "shigan", he pierces opponents with his nose and calls the move "bigan".]]
** Buggy the Clown has a bright red clown nose [[NotAMask that really is his actual nose]]. [[BerserkButton No one should point it out to him, though]]. [[HairTriggerTemper Not that it matters.]]
* Various members of Creator/OsamuTezuka's ReusedCharacterDesign have remarkably large noses.
* Tengu of the Hakushu Dinosaurs in ''Manga/Eyeshield21''. You might recognize him as the [[DirtyCoward wimpy jerk]] that got beat up by Gaou for [[BerserkButton making fun of Kurita.]]
** And don't forget Clifford, who Hiruma even refers to as "Fucking Nose".
* Fukumoto Nobuyuki draws some pretty out-there noses (see: ''Manga/{{Akagi}}'', ''Manga/{{Kaiji}}''). It never gets played lightheartedly in those series, but when a bunch of people see it, someone's going to inevitably bring it up...
* Many people from Creator/ShotaroIshinomori's works.
** Specially Jet/002 from ''Manga/Cyborg009''. A kid actually ''bites on his nose'' in the 2001 adaptation! Downgraded in both recent reboots (''Anime/ZeroZeroNineReCyborg'' and an unrelated Western comic book released by Archaia), [[TheyChangedItNowItSucks which angered some fans.]]
* Racer from ''Manga/FairyTail'' has a somehow cone-shaped nose.
** Also Plue of this series and the author's previous main work, ''Manga/RaveMaster''. Nobody can really figure out what it is. Is it a drill? A carrot? Why does it droop over when Plue's feeling down? Erm...
* Jiraiya in [[spoiler:Sage Mode]], Onoki, Akatsuchi and Kitsuchi in ''Anime/{{Naruto}}''
* ''Manga/{{Berserk}}'':
** Bishop Mozgus has a nose that is unnaturally square and flat, which Serpico suspects is because he keeps smashing his face against the floor hundreds of times a day in ritualistic prayer.
** A creature seen in Qliphoth basically consists of a GagNose with legs.
* Russia from ''[[Webcomic/HetaliaAxisPowers Hetalia]]'' has his nose as his defining trait, like England's eyebrows. It's retained when he's in [[SuperDeformed chibi]] form (which renders everybody else without a nose, or just a speck), mochi form, and his [[UncattyResemblance lookalike cat]] even has a large nose. He also has an {{emoticon}}; ( ^し^ )
* In [[Manga/RankingOfKings Ousama Ranking]], a sharp, pointed nose is a symbol of Queen Hiling's bloodline; it's a clear sign that Prince Daida is her biological son, [[spoiler: and an early clue that Bojji isn't.]]
* Chihiro/Nicchi from ''Manga/OtakuNoMusumeSan'' in the present timeline. Not at all in his childhood. [[spoiler:Chapter 62 reveals that it's fake and he's had a normal nose all along.]]
* In one ''Manga/MajinTanteiNougamiNeuro'' case, the killer turns out to be the blond Westerner with the moderately-large nose, who although he is very interested in Japan and studied to become fluent in Japanese, is secretly racist against the Japanese and full of pride; in a [[StockVisualMetaphors visual metaphor]] his nose becomes larger and larger throughout his MotiveRant, reflecting his pride.
** See tengu below; the association of large noses and pride in Japanese culture often gets married to {{Eagleland}} in representations of Caucasians, a majority of whom have big noses by Japanese standards.
* On a related note, Creator/NaokiUrasawa draws a lot of-of his Westerners with really hilarious noses, but it's unclear if this is meant to be humorous or just an honest depiction of how Germans et.al. look to him. They're not precisely ''unrealistic'', after all, they just tend to dominate people's faces.
* Enji Koma from ''Manga/TokyoGhoul''. His enormous, rounded-nose is one reason that no one takes him [[CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass seriously]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Audio Plays]]
* On Creator/TheFiresignTheatre comedy album ''AudioPlay/IThinkWereAllBozosOnThisBus'', the Bozos all have fake noses that make a squeaky sound when squeezed, which they do regularly. It's never actually ''stated'' that Bozos are clowns--in fact, it's suggested that they're more like a race or class--but you're clearly supposed to get that idea.
-->'''Barney:''' C'mon, squeeze the wheeze! Many people like to.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Comic Books]]
* Most members of the Jones family in ''ComicBook/ArchieComics'', most famously Forsythe "Jughead" Jones. However, Jellybean, the youngest member, is an exception.
* ''ComicBook/AchilleTalon'': The title character's ridiculously oversize nose is a frequent source of gags.
* Almost every character in ''ComicBook/{{Asterix}}'' is drawn with a huge nose, with Asterix and Obelix having two of the biggest (when they argue, they push their noses right up against each other). However, the nose that is frequently remarked upon is Cleopatra's, whose is rather noticeable on her otherwise gorgeous appearance but far smaller than that of any of the characters constantly remarking on how "[[PassiveAggressiveCombat very pretty]]" it is.
* ''ComicBook/BillyAndBuddy'': Bill the cocker spaniel has a black bulbous nose.
* ''ComicBook/{{Cubitus}}'': Has a black bulbous nose, which is often interchanged with his yellow round tail.
* Two of ''ComicBook/TheFabulousFurryFreakBrothers'' have...freakishly long noses, but the comic's cartoony quality means there's plenty of big noses to go around.
* ''ComicBook/{{Girrion}}'': Gunflins have noses nearly as big as their heads.
* ''ComicBook/{{Jommeke}}'': Anatool, the villain of the series, has a hook nose. Theofiel, Kwak and the Koningin van Onderland have a long pointy nose.
* [[WhiteBunny Doug]] from ''ComicBook/SamiTheSamuraiSquirrel'' has a very big pink nose.
* In ''ComicBook/SinCity: Family Values'', one of the bartenders has a penis-shaped nose.
* ''ComicBook/SuskeEnWiske'': Lambik, Jerom, Barabas and Tante Sidonia all have long noses that look very similar and are often misused for all kinds of AmusingInjuries.
* ''Franchise/{{Tintin}}'': Both Captain Haddock and The Thompsons have round pudgy noses that continuously get hurt.
* ''ComicBook/{{Urbanus}}'': Meester Kweepeer has a long, pointy nose.
* ''ComicBook/AlanFord'': Bob Rock (as well as his brothers) is endowed with a massive schnoz, which gives license to pretty much everyone to mock him for it (at one point some brats make a snow effigy of him, labelled as a "hybrid of gnome and elephant). Needless to say, it's one of his many BerserkButton.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Comic Strips]]
* ''ComicStrip/{{Nero}}'': Author Marc Sleen is infamous for drawing wonderfully memorable noses for his characters, from the bulbous noses of Nero and Van Zwam to the pointy ones for Oliepul and Madam Pheip and Tuizentfloot's hook nose.
* ''ComicStrip/PaulusDeBoskabouter'': Eucalypta, typical for a WickedWitch, has a large bulbous nose.
* ''ComicStrip/BloomCounty''
** Opus has a huge nose which was the subject of many gags over the years, such as a badly done nose job, a worse liposuction job, sleeping on it wrong, cutting it while shaving (funnier than it sounds), and slicing it off by sneezing while ''flossing''.
** There was a strip where Opus is sitting at a bar, and a woman with an ''enormous'' nose (that keeps whacking Portnoy off his bar stool when she turns to talk to Opus) is babbling about finally getting cosmetic surgery. Opus inquires when she's getting her nose job and she says "Nose job? I'm getting eyeliner permanently tattooed on my eyelids!"
* ''ComicStrip/TheFarSide'':
** One cartoon depicted two guys in a bar about to get in a fight, one of them has a nose so big it almost reaches the floor, and the other guy is saying "Hey watch it, buddy unless you want a fat ''lip'' as well!"
** "Egad! It's the severed nose of Dr. Verlucci--returned from the grave on the anniversary of the night we all betrayed him!"
** In another, a man and a woman are in an art gallery looking at a painting of a man with a big nose; one of them says, "Gad, that's eerie. Wherever you go, the nose seems to follow."
** Yet another had a man with a nose about four times the size of his head angrily telling his wife - whose mouth was also exaggeratingly huge - "Is that so? Well, ''you've'' got a big ''mouth''!
* Sam from ''ComicStrip/InSecurity'' has a large bulbous nose while his wife’s cousin Roy has a rather pointy one.
* Most regulars from ''ComicStrip/TheWizardOfId'' have huge noses, including Sir Rodney, the King, the Duke, Bung the Jester, and Blanche.
* In ''ComicStrip/BabyBlues'' many jokes are made about Darryl's big nose. Oddly, though Wanda also has a big nose, hers is largely ignored. [[note]]In fairness, hers is merely comically big, while his is ''enormous''[[/note]]
* Creator/RaymondBriggs's ''ComicBook/TheSnowman'': At one point, the titular character, who has a tangerine for a nose, tries on several less dignified looking fruits before deciding to stick with the tangerine.
* The title character of ''ComicStrip/{{Ziggy}}'' has this as his most prominent feature.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Card Games]]
* For disembodied noses, there's the Floating Nose in ''TabletopGame/{{Munchkin}}'' and [[PunnyName The Shadow Nose]] in the ''Unnatural Axe'' expansion.
* [[http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Hane-Hane Hane-Hane]] in ''TabletopGame/YuGiOh'' is a nose with wings, and its upgraded form [[http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Hade-Hane Hade-Hane]] also has a big nose. ([[FanficFuel More than one fanfiction]] has had Hane-Hane use its effect by ''sneezing'' at the enemy monster.)
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Fan Works]]
* ''Fanfic/BoldoresAndBoomsticks'': Professor Cypress' nose has been compared to that of a Nosepass or an ice pick.
* ''Fanfic/HoursVerse'': Igor's too-long nose, and – despite Tatsuya's efforts at intervention – Jose's too-small nose.
--> '''Tatsuya:''' And don’t give that poor doll a long nose. You have no idea how much it freaked everyone out the first time they entered the Velvet Room and they saw Igor!\
'''Philemon:''' …Smaller nose it is, then.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Films -- Animation]]
* ''WesternAnimation/ArloTheAlligatorBoy'': Ansel Beauregard has one which is long, pointy, and protrudes outward like a bird beak, in helping with his bird-man appearance.
* Mooseblood the mosquito from ''WesternAnimation/BeeMovie'' has his proboscis placed on his face as if it were his nose.
* Flint in ''WesternAnimation/CloudyWithAChanceOfMeatballs'' had this. Some other characters also did, but it was a partial plot point with Flint, as he had to puff out his cheeks to get his lips beyond his nose so he could kiss the girl.
* This is very prevalent in many characters from ''Franchise/DespicableMe'', a lot of whom [[SinisterSchnoz are villains]].
** Main character Gru, for starters has a long, pointy nose that's often used as a source of humor.
** Lucy Wilde in ''WesternAnimation/DespicableMe2''. [[spoiler:During her wedding at the end, she and Gru try to kiss, but they both touch, so they tilt their heads to kiss.]]
** [[WesternAnimation/{{Minions}} Scarlett Overkill]] has a long, pointy nose and her husband Herb even more so.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Encanto}}'': Bruno Madrigal has a fat, bulbous nose that takes half of his face. To a lesser extent, Mirabel and Agustín are this as well.
* In ''WesternAnimation/{{Pinocchio}}'', a telescoping nose is the main character's LieTic.
* In ''WesternAnimation/{{Ratatouille}}'', Linguini has this. To a lesser extent, Colette too.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Tangled}}'': A RunningGag is that Flynn’s wanted posters [[FacialCompositeFailure always portray him as having one of these,]] much to his annoyance. At one point, [[IntellectualAnimal Maximus]] has to cover up his nose on one of the wanted posters in order to even recognize him.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Films -- Live-Action]]
* ''Film/{{Roxanne}}'', a SettingUpdate of ''Cyrano de Bergerac''.
* Princess Vespa from ''Film/{{Spaceballs}}'' has this in a picture.
* ''Film/MontyPythonAndTheHolyGrail'', in the BurnTheWitch scene. "And this isn't my nose, it's a false one!" [[PaperThinDisguise Said nose resembles a carrot and is tied on with a huge piece of twine.]]
* A Jewish person gets called big nose in ''Film/MontyPythonsLifeOfBrian'' but it's subverted by said person being Creator/MichaelPalin whose nasal endowment is smaller than Creator/EricIdle's.
* One of the villains in the western/comedy ''Film/CatBallou'' has a metal prosthetic nose; the original was bitten off in a fight.
* Creator/AdamSandler's character Danny had one at the beginning of ''Film/JustGoWithIt''. It was the first thing to go when he decided to reinvent himself as a womanizing plastic surgeon.
* ''Film/OceansThirteen'': Linus insists on wearing a fake nose as part of one of his disguises. It's called "[[Creator/AdrienBrody the Brody]]" by the team.
* In ''Film/AHardDaysNight'', Ringo (see RealLife) is ribbed by the others about his nose. Paul's grandpa shows his talent for divisiveness.
-->'''Grandpa:''' Now now, Paulie, you musn't mock the afflicted.\
'''Paul:''' Aw, come on, it's only a joke!\
'''Grandpa:''' Aye, it may be a joke to you, but it's ''his'' nose. ''He'' can't help havin' such a hideous great hooter. And his poor neck, tremblin' under the weight!
* In one scene of ''Film/{{Airplane}}'', Doctor Rumack lies [[BlatantLies so outrageously]] about the flight crew's medical condition that his nose starts growing Pinocchio-style.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Literature]]
* Creator/IsabelAllende's ''Literature/EvaLuna'': Eva worked as a maid for two retired middle-to-upper-class siblings, and the brother had a huge nose.
* Creator/IsaacAsimov's ''Literature/FoundationSeries'': "Literature/TheMule": Magnifico Giganticus is a [[GeekPhysiques short man with spidery limbs]], his long nose is part of what makes him appear to be a living caricature of humanity. Covers to ''Literature/FoundationAndEmpire'' have included Magnifico, with a nose as long as his jester's cap bells.
* In ''Literature/TheBookOfTheDunCow'', Mundo Cani Dog has an oversized nose which gives him an extraordinary sense of smell. Being [[TheEeyore Mundo Cani]], however, he sees it as ugly and offensive.
* ''Literature/DirkGentlysHolisticDetectiveAgency'': A Cambridge University dinner near the start of the story includes one don with "the most extraordinarily long and bony nose", which apparently resembles not just a yacht keel, but specifically the winged keel with which ''Australia II'' won the 1983 America's Cup. Whenever anyone meets him for the first time, they are too startled by his nose to say anything, and the second time, they're embarrassed by the first time, and so on. The result is that nobody has spoken to him for seventeen years, or indeed spoken to anyone who has the slightest idea who he is.
* ''Literature/EastOfTheSunAndWestOfTheMoon'''s cursed prince is almost forcibly married to a witch's daughter with a nose three ells long (about four and a half feet).
* Creator/DavidEddings: ''Literature/TheElenium'' and ''Literature/TheTamuli'' has Sparhawk with his broken nose that is played with. In ''Literature/TheShiningOnes'' it is lampshaded when Berit wears Sparhawk's face.
* Russian author Creator/NikolaiGogol's story ''Literature/TheNose'' is about a government official's nose that escapes from his face and goes on to lead a life of its own.
* ''Literature/HarryPotter'':
** Snape's large hooked nose is often mentioned and is possibly the origin of his nickname "Snivellus" (he wasn't crying at the time the Marauders made it up, at least). The Marauders often center their insults around it, along with him supposedly being greasy.
** Nymphadora Tonks, who was born with the power to change her appearance at will, delights in transforming her nose to entertain friends at dinner.
* ''Literature/ProfessorMmaasLecture'': The Termite Queen is very sensitive about her noticeably large nose.
* In Creator/EdwardRutherfurd's ''London'', members of the Silversleeves bloodline share the genetic trait of unusually long noses.
* ''Literature/TheSnoutersFormAndLifeOfTheRhinogrades'': This {{Mockumentary}} has an entire group of shrew-like mammals living on a remote archipelago which have developed an organ known as the 'nasorium' derived from the nose, which can do almost every conceivable thing. There are species that stand on their nose, walk on their nose, grab things with their nose, sing with their nose, jump with their nose, dig with their nose, and eat things with their nose. Ironically, some snouters use their tear ducts to breathe instead of their nose.
* ''Literature/DiaryOfAWimpyKid'': Many background characters are drawn with one.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Live-Action TV]]
* Maxwell Q. Klinger from ''Series/{{MASH}}'' has a large nose, the other characters frequently make jokes about it. In one SuperstitionEpisode, he half-jokingly warns Hawkeye, "I came from a family of small-nosed folk until one of us looked at a gypsy queen the wrong way. Ever since then, we've been growing 'em like ''this''!"
** In another episode, a soldier with a large nose wants a nose job, and there happens to be an excellent plastic surgeon stationed in Tokyo. Only trouble is, a nose job is an elective surgery, which Army regulations won't allow. Cue hijinks...
* [[Series/TheMuppetShow The Great Gonzo]], especially on ''WesternAnimation/MuppetBabies''.
* Raymond Luxury Yacht of ''Series/MontyPythonsFlyingCircus''. His name is not pronounced as written (pronounced "Throat Wobbler Mangrove"), and it's not his real nose either. He wants to have it operated on anyway.
* Cocknose, a character from ''Series/BoSelecta'', is a parody of a [[Franchise/TheMuppets Muppet]] whose nose is big and shaped like, well, you can guess from the name. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLqXdlRyJaw You can see a brief clip with him and his nose here.]]
* BBC children's show ''Series/{{Jigsaw|1979}}'' had the nightmare-inducing character Noseybonk.
* Ernie [[CartoonPhysics removing Bert's nose]] was a RunningGag on early seasons of ''Series/SesameStreet''. In one famous sketch, Ernie is sculpting a bust of Bert out of clay, but he runs out of clay before he can make the nose. So he takes Bert's nose off his face and puts it on the bust.
** The Honkers talk by honking their noses.
** Cyranose de Bergerac (three guesses who he's a parody of), who appeared once in a sketch and once as the subject of an episode, has a nose long enough and pointy enough to use as a sword. Which he attempts to do [[BerserkButton whenever someone around him so much as says the word "nose"]]. Other people are legitimately terrified of him.
* In the ''Series/MysteryScienceTheater3000'' episode "[[Recap/MysteryScienceTheater3000S03E18StarForceFugitiveAlienII Star Force: Fugitive Alien II]]," the Mads invent long, rubbery "big noses." Joel takes [[BigHeadMode a similar approach]] to the invention exchange.
* In an episode of ''Series/{{Taxi}}'', Louie wants an opinion about what perfume should use. He selects Alex because he [[TheNoseKnows "could smell these things from home."]]
* ''Series/{{Frasier}}'': In the episode "Roz and the Schnoz," Frasier plays host to a couple with ridiculously large noses who are ''completely unaware of it''-- and neither is anyone else. HilarityEnsues as Frasier's family tries to IgnoreTheDisability while the couple keeps unconsciously setting up [[{{Pun}} nose-related puns]]: "Everyone who knows you knows you're the nosiest!"
* ''Series/BuffyTheVampireSlayer'' had [[Recap/BuffyTheVampireSlayerS7E3SameTimeSamePlace Gnarl]] and his ridiculously long nose. Unusually for this trope, rather than looking funny, he looks terrifying.
* ''Series/{{Seinfeld}}'': George is dating a woman with a startlingly big nose. On the one hand, he's put off by it; on the other hand, he's sure if she had a nose job she'd be out of his league. Everyone tactfully avoids mentioning her nose to her face, except for Kramer.
* The Lone Rearranger from ''Series/BetweenTheLions'' has a banana on his nose.
** The episode "Sausage Nose" revolved around a [[GenderInvertedTrope woman]] with a [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin sausage on her nose.]]

[[/folder]]

* Music/FrankZappa had a large hook nose, which he called a ''honker'' and even used it as the logo of his video label ''Honker Home Video''.
* Music/{{Eminem}} likes to make fun of his distinctive large, 'pointy', 'Pinocchio' nose on several of his songs [[note]] there's some racial subtext to this, since Black people tend not to have pointy noses - particularly in "Criminal" when he describes himself as 'white, blond hair, my nose is pointy, I'm the bad guy'[[/note]]. Probably the funniest/grossest reference is on "SHADYXV" where he brags about how his nose makes him irresistable to women, claiming Rihanna calls him Pinocchio because 'she [[WaxingLyrical loves the way I lie]] - she sits on my face and waits for my nose to grow'.
* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pT9p1WDyHc La Di Dum]]" by Music/TheCorries is about a young man with a great big "La Di Dum". Despite the constant innuendo they assure you that
-->"It's his bloody ''nose'' we're singing about!"
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Mythology & Religion]]
* OlderThanPrint: [[{{Youkai}} Tengu from Japanese mythology]] are sometimes depicted with huge, bright red, sausage-shaped noses (when they don't have bird heads). Some folk tales also give them magic fans with which to inflict this on others. A long nose is a [[StockVisualMetaphors Stock Visual Metaphor]] in Japan for pride, which is very likely derived from the tengu, who in many stories originate as monks who were very wise and holy but [[PrideBeforeAFall brought down by their arrogance about it]], which is a barrier against enlightenment.
* Chaac, the [[Myth/MayanMythology Mayan god]] of water and rain, is often portrayed with a long, trunk-like nose that points upwards.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Professional Wrestling]]

* In ''TabletopGame/{{Pathfinder}}'', tengu [[http://paizo.com/paizo/blog/v5748dyo5lddn?Advanced-Race-Guide-Preview-Wark-Wark-WarkTengu have access to a feat]] that allows them to take on human semblance. [[MythologyGag Beaks don't completely translate]].
* Cavity Sam, the patient in ''BoardGame/{{Operation}}'' has a big red nose that lights up and buzzes if you make a mistake.
* TabletopGame/{{Warhammer}}: The puny and comical Gnoblars from the Ogre Kingdoms have huge beak-like noses.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Theatre]]
* ''Theatre/CyranoDeBergerac'': Cyrano is a famous example of this, having an overlarge schnoz that [[IAmNotPretty he thinks makes him too ugly for any woman to love]]. On the other hand, he also goes into a ''legendary'' WrongInsultOffense routine when a bit character is insufficiently creative at insulting his looks.
* Traditional CommediaDellArte characters tend to come with their own masks, often sporting an oversized nose. As a general rule, the bigger a character's nose, the smaller their intelligence.
* Melvin the Superhero from the Creator/JeffDunham stable. He turns his face to profile when asked his "most distinguishing feature"...
-->'''Melvin:''' [[SarcasmMode My]] ''[[SarcasmMode costume]]''.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Video Games]]
* ''Franchise/SuperMarioBros'':
** One of Wario's defining features is his large, pink nose. Waluigi has a long pink nose. Also, Jimmy T. from ''VideoGame/WarioWare'' and his entire family have red noses for some reason.
** Mario and Luigi's big round noses are usually a [[DownplayedTrope Downplayed]] version, but that doesn't stop Nintendo from doing things, like, say, applying JigglePhysics on Mario's or Luigi's nose in games like ''VideoGame/SuperMarioOdyssey'' or ''VideoGame/LuigisMansion'' so it can bounce around comically.
** Yoshi on the other hand is an [[ExaggeratedTrope Exaggerated]] version of this, especially in later games. his head is basically just a giant nose with eyeballs!
* The joke pet Nostradamus from ''VideoGame/{{Insaniquarium}} Deluxe'' is a nose, with fins.
* Billy Burston, in ''VideoGame/MitsumeteKnight''. The nose gets broken in his defeated sprite after your fights against him.

** One feature that distinguishes the Gerudo from Hylians, besides each being a redhead, is a prominent, pointy nose that has been described in supplementary materials as "bird-like." Chief Ruji of ''[[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaBreathOfTheWild Breath of the Wild]]'' has a relatively small and pretty one... mostly due to her being so young (she's Link's height while an adult is several feet taller).
* So does King of All Cosmos in the ''VideoGame/KatamariDamacy'' series.
* The Spelunker (and the Damsels and Shopkeepers) in ''VideoGame/{{Spelunky}}'' have red noses.

* ''VideoGame/{{Deltarune}}'': Spamton G. Spamton has a long, pointy, goblin-like nose.

* Most, if not all, of the cast of ''WebAnimation/TheLittlePainter'' have large schnozes.
* Youtube animator Psychicpebbles (co-creator of ''WesternAnimation/SmilingFriends'') often draws himself with one of these, and it's similarly caricatured by others as such. Not because his real nose is especially large, but rather because his voice is intensely nasal.
* ''WebAnimation/MangaSoprano'': Rino, the antagonist of the episode ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_FaXpln0_nU My daughter told the truth to a mommy friend who forced her to wear a bathing suit]]'' has a noticeable, distinctive nose that stands out whenever her face is on profile.

* Milhouse of ''WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons'' has a bulbous nose about the size of a tennis ball. However, besides Homer once calling him a "four-eyed weiner with a big nose", oddly enough, unlike literally everything else in the show, it hasn't really ever been the source of a joke.
** One episode has an in-universe animated short about a trio of French men with large noses they used to prepare snack; one snorted up grapes and sneezed out wine, the next snorted up wedges of cheese and sneezed out cubes, the last snorted up toothpicks and sneezed out a replica of the Eiffel Tower. Unfortunately, the last one suffered a nose bleed, and the short ended with him comically running around in a panic.

It has been the subject of several gags on the show. Fans have even took notice, as there is a common theory that Squidward’s nose is [[spoiler: actually his penis]]. [[https://youtu.be/ZaPheGdsEmA there’s even a song about it.]] (Warning: NSFW) Barnacle Boy's is just as big, leaving a gag for them calling each other [[HypocriticalHumor "big nose".]] In the Season Ten episode "Whirlybrains", Squidward pulls off some fabric on his nose to reveal his nose is ''even bigger''.

He manages to use it to sniff out Smurf village like he planned but is thwarted when they use pepper to make him sneeze himself all the way back home. In the same episode Vanity Smurf attempted to use Gargamel's magic to get a fancier nose, which ends up gold and gem encrusted, to the mockery of everyone else in the village.
* Butch from ''WesternAnimation/MrBogus'' has a rather long and slightly curved nose.
* ConArtist Al Swindler on ''WesternAnimation/GarfieldAndFriends'' has one of the biggest noses in cartoon history.
