Online fan comics, basically amounting to a blending of {{Webcomics}} with [[{{Fanfic}} fan fiction]]. Most {{Sprite Comic}}s are this by default due to using sprites of characters from pre-existing properties; this is especially true if the sprite comes from a LicensedGame.

The likelihood of seeing one of these reach print of course is a lot lower as they occupy the same grey area of legality as fan fiction.

These, like original universe Webcomics, run the gamut from epic OriginalFlavour yarns, {{Cross Over}}s, the comic equivalent of DarkFic, to gag strips featuring your favourite characters. Often these elements are blended together.

WebcomicOfTheGame and CampaignComic are sub-genres.
