When a character, usually female, gets made more (conventionally) attractive over the course of a show. Sometimes justified as [[SheIsAllGrownUp the actions of puberty]], when a younger character [[RealLifeWritesThePlot or actress]] starts filling out as they grow up. BuxomBeautyStandard is often at play.

Named after what Microsoft calls its minor Windows upgrades, and, of course, {{Fanservice}}. (In fact, a service pack or patch is often used to pull this off in video games.)

When this accompanies an increase in ActionGirl-ness, it's an AdrenalineMakeover. Compare BeautifulAllAlong, HiddenBuxom, ProgressivelyPrettier, and SheCleansUpNicely, which is when this happens to characters who are initially not supposed to be considered attractive. Also compare SelfFanservice, which is when fan-artists make their own Fanservice Packs. If done for an adaptation, it's AdaptationalAttractiveness, or AdaptationalSkimpiness if the main component is a more revealing costume. Contrast GirlinessUpgrade. May involve a SignificantWardrobeShift.

[[folder:Anime & Manga]]
* ''Manga/Bastard1988'''s female characters' bust sizes slowly but steadily increase over time. Later chapters have taken this to truly over-the-top heights.
* ''Manga/BirdyTheMighty'': While Birdy's backless leotard did lose [[AdaptationalSkimpiness its sides]] in the 2002 reboot. Volume 11 of ''Evolution'' takes this a step further by placing a gap that not only exposes her cleavage, the gap also plummets beneath her navel.
* ''Manga/{{Bleach}}'':
** Orihime's bust -- already large to begin with -- has grown steadily larger as the art style evolved. Following the TimeSkip, her breasts grew even more and put her in the same category as Rangiku and Adult Nel.
** Following the time skip, [[SheIsAllGrownUp Ichigo's younger sister Karin now sports a noticeable bust]].
** Stern Ritter Bambietta Basterbine. Introduced as a cute young girl, later chapters showed her as a young woman with visible curves, longer legs, fairly large breasts and a more mature face.
* In the beginning of ''Manga/ChronoCrusade'', Rosette has a uniform that isn't too unbelievable for a nun – a baggy blue dress that's only lent shape by an ammo belt around her waist, and bloomers that go down to her ankles. However, when she moves up a class in the Order and gets her new militia uniform, her uniform is changed to have her wear a corset and a skirt that's slit nearly to her waist, as well as a short pair of bloomers that might as well be ruffly booty shorts. The anime takes this even further, appearing to increase her cup size and discarding the bloomers entirely for a pair of white panties.
* ''Manga/{{Claymore}}'':
** Though it was in the outfits only, several of the seven [[spoiler:surviving members of the Northern Campaign]] went from the skin-tight but fairly conservative Claymore uniforms to black uniforms that flash a bit of thigh post TimeSkip, and along with a few skirts one basically wears a leotard and no pants with ZettaiRyouiki.
** [[spoiler:Raki]] gets one after the TimeSkip. He went from an adorable scrawny little boy to a grown muscular badass man!
* Fusing with Amon in ''Franchise/{{Devilman}}'' not only grants you superpowers and a demonic SuperMode, but evidently a killer human body (and less compunction to [[ShamelessFanserviceGirl cover it up]]) as well. Miki even lampshades this in ''Manga/DevilmanGrimoire'', jokingly wishing ''she'' had been possessed after seeing the improvements Amon made to Akira's build.
-->'''Miki:''' He really screwed me over. If only he had possessed me instead, I could have gotten the best body in class.
* In ''Manga/DGrayMan'', villainess Road Kamelot began as sort of a creepy, almost inhuman looking little monster. Roughly 170 chapters later, she's shed some of the more blatant aspects to her design (though kept just enough to still hit that fetish), traded in her dress for a form-fitting outfit, gained features that are smoother and more natural looking, with the result being that a character who was initially pretty disturbing in appearance has ended up really cute.
* In ''Anime/ErgoProxy'', Vincent Law started out as a [[http://www.anime-source.com/banzai/images/editorials/ergoproxy7.jpg male definition of]] {{Moe}}, but as the series wore on, he started getting less meek and more comfortable [[spoiler:in his godhood,]] and [[http://www.nautiljon.com/images/perso/grandes/Ergo_Proxy/vincent_law.jpg he started looking nicer too.]]
* ''Manga/FullmetalAlchemist'':
** Winry subtly... gets bigger. Fully justified in that she's a developing teenage girl and the series spans at least an entire year.
** Ed gets taller and more broad-shouldered as the series progresses, gradually going from 4'11 to 5'5. Winry actually takes notice at one point.
* Motoko Kusanagi seems to have had a breast-size-upgrade between the first season of ''Anime/GhostInTheShellStandAloneComplex'' and ''[=SAC: 2nd GiG=]''. She also started to wear pants, around the same time, so this goes both ways. She gets a new body near the end of the first season. It's the same body model that she was using before, and she mentions that because she's working for the government, it has modified specifications well beyond standard legal limits. This basically means that she actually gave ''herself'' a Fanservice Pack. Her roommate Kurtan is sexually aroused by this. Also on meta level, her appearance in Creator/MamoruOshii's movie her appearance was heavily built and utilitarian with almost masculine facial features and her personality is cold and asexual. ''Stand Alone Complex'' gave her a sense of humor and occasional flirty moments, although this is in fact closer to characterization in Creator/MasamuneShirow's original manga.
* President Valentine of ''Manga/JojosBizarreAdventureSteelBallRun'' is, initially, stout and overweight. At some point, though, [[spoiler:he switches bodies with an alternate universe version of himself]] and becomes taller and more muscular.
* A variety occurs in ''Anime/{{Kamichu}}'', where Matsuri becomes a lot more well-endowed in the manga that was based on the anime, in line with the overall enhanced {{fanservice}}.
* ''Manga/KenichiTheMightiestDisciple'':
** Miu already had large-ish round breasts, but it was at least somewhat in proportion. Then they started to up her cup sizes. By chapter 292, she's bigger than [[SexyMentor Shigure]]. By 421, we've gone above and beyond silly sizes.
** Freya gains in size considerably over the course of the manga as well. Compare her bustline when she's first introduced to her size in the D of D tournament. Over twice as large.
* Somewhere between the fifteenth and eighteenth episodes of ''Anime/KillLaKill'', [[GeekPhysique scrawny computer nerd]] Houka Inumuta managed to find the time to acquire a six pack rivalling [[MrFanservice Aikuro's]]. In addition Nonon after episode 18 wears much more revealing clothing [[spoiler:due to alliancing with Nudist Beach]] and has a slightly larger bust size. In fact, Nonon is one of the very few characters aside from Ryuko who gets [[DirtyKid perved on by Makoto]].
* In ''Manga/DemonSlayerKimetsuNoYaiba'' the first time Nezuko showed her size shifting powers to grow in size it just made her literally bigger in all aspects proportionally as in her body didn’t actually mature, during her fight with Daki however Nezuko’s demon blood mixed reaction this time around made her body actually mature to look like an older woman and coincidentally her kimono had been messed from the fight till then so Nezuko’s older body was full of gaps in clothing to show off her curves and assets.
* ''Franchise/LyricalNanoha'': Justified since Nanoha and Fate were ''nine years old'' at the start of the series, but by the third season, they're both nineteen and sporting breasts that ''bounce'' (albeit subtly and more realistically than most anime boob bounces) during their TransformationSequence.
* Reversed in ''Anime/MobileSuitGundam00,'' where several female characters go down a couple cup sizes after the first few episodes. In particular, Wang Liu Mei and Louise Halevy start out with boobs bigger than the rest of their torsos, but are later drawn as large-but-not-atypical-for-anime.
* Most of the younger females in ''Manga/{{Naruto}}'' got this after the time skip. Hinata, for example, still wears her massive baggy jacket but now she has a very noticeable bust underneath it. After the finale, she [[FormFittingWardrobe discards the baggy clothing altogether]], which shows off her [[SheIsAllGrownUp incredible figure]].
* In ''Manga/NegimaMagisterNegiMagi'', it isn't so much that the characters are getting more attractive, so much as we [[FanService see more of them]] as the series progresses. The girls get more and more excuses to dress in casual/fetish clothes. Yuna explicitly undergoes a growth spurt, which becomes the source of a large amount of humor later on.
* ''Manga/OnePiece'':
** Author Creator/EiichiroOda's standard female character design has evolved into something more sexualized and less realistic over time. The overall design of women has shifted, so long as they're not [[{{Gonk}} supposed to be ugly]]. Nami's breasts were a relatively modest size at the beginning of the story, but they've grown into a set the likes of which most real women would be hard-pressed to match. She also lost a considerable amount of girth from her waist and widened a bit in the hips. WordOfGod states that this is because she is a maturing young woman... which doesn't explain why her breasts have been so inconsistently large, varying in size widely (although generally gaining in mass on average) ever since she joined the Straw Hat Pirates.
*** {{The movie}}s generally up the bouncing and shoot for the largest chest size they can get away with. This is most apparent in the seventh movie, where Nami and Robin both gained cup sizes that apparently made their breasts defy gravity, as they bounced no matter which way they moved or how much.
*** The anime version also seems to do this. No matter how big the women's chests are in the manga, the anime seems to double their size.
** The men of the Straw Hats got this, too. While earlier installments had the boys with lean bodies, they get increasingly more ripped by the time they reach the New World. While this is partially justified by the fact that the series has a TimeSkip in which each of the crew underwent some kind of TrainingFromHell, it doesn't explain how their body types could change so drastically. Usopp, for example, goes from having a beanpole's silhouette to being an absolute beefcake, and at the start of his training, he was grossly overweight.
* Not in the anime and OVA, but Alleyne of ''Anime/QueensBlade'' is often subjected to this when it comes her figurines. Her asset in the show is relatively modest compared to [[WorldOfBuxom the rest of the cast]], but when it comes to her figurines, especially those produced by Orchidseed and Megahouse, her cup sizes go increasingly larger and larger.
* Near the end of the ''Manga/RanmaOneHalf'' manga, Akane -- whom the other girls, Ranma included, consider flat-chested, even if it's just by comparison -- is very happy about having grown up. She doesn't even mind if no one else notices, it'll be her secret pride. But then her pride and happiness are shattered when Ranma, who had always been better built, turns out to have grown up ''too''...
* Every single character in ''Manga/Reborn2004'' due in part to ArtEvolution. Most noticeable with the main character Tsuna who changes from a goofy ButtMonkey into a cute little boy and Xanxus who looks like he had a chin job during the TimeSkip.
* ''Manga/RiskySafety'' has two episodes where the title pair turn the story of Momotaro into a SpaceOpera. During the "story" parts of the episodes, Risky is shown as being a lot bustier than she really is. Not only that, but at one point thereare two [[MaleGaze worm's eye shots]] of her: one from the front, and one from the back.
* Amelia in ''Literature/{{Slayers}}: The Hourglass of Falces'' got a bust upgrade and swapped out her [[http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9JzlcMeqdM8/TnCIWODMrbI/AAAAAAAACBE/1VXD6axmuNQ/s1600/Amelia%2BWil%2BTesla%2BSaillune.jpg old pants]] for a miniskirt. The change is so noticeable that before the story begins proper, an {{Omake}} has to explain why. There's also Lina, who is fully covered except for her elbows in most ''Slayers'' media but was given skimpier outfits in the later light novels.
* ''Manga/ToLoveRu'':
** Compared to her first appearance, Yui Kotegawa is [[BuxomBeautyStandard considerably more buxom as noted by many characters]].
** Momo has become noticeably bustier between her introduction in the original series (where she was more or less on par with Haruna) and the latest chapters of Darkness. Maybe justified by still being growing.
* Several {{Time Skip}}s in ''Manga/TokyoGhoul'' lead to characters becoming considerably more attractive as a result of puberty and/or intense training regimes.
** Kaneki begins the series as a scrawny nerd that's kind of plain but cute. After six months of intensive training, he's developed a six-pack and runs around in a skintight black outfit. Taken even further in the sequel, as he's finished puberty and built up even more lean muscle through constant training. He tends to wear nicely tailored suits, but also makes for one [[AttractiveBentGender attractive woman]] when DisguisedInDrag.
** Preteens Hinami and Ayato both return ''much'' more attractive in the sequel, thanks to the blessings of puberty. Hinami has developed into a buxom young woman, while Ayato has developed into a tall and handsome man and is also fond of the aforementioned skintight black outfits that show off his chiseled physique.
* Fatina from ''Anime/TheTowerOfDruaga'' gets a skimpier new outfit and a bust upgrade in season 2.
* Wolfwood in ''Manga/{{Trigun}}'' lost more and more shirt buttons as time went on, culminating in ''Badlands Rumble'' (released in 2010) giving him a borderline ImpossiblyLowNeckline. The 2023 reimagining ''Anime/TrigunStampede'', like with the other characters, makes him look younger. [[spoiler:It turned out to be because he's ''much'' younger than he looks in ''Stampede'', since he was a prepubescent child aged into adulthood in a matter of months by brutal experiments, which would render any sexualization somewhat FanDisservice. He was YoungerThanHeLooks in the manga as well (though not THAT young), but that had yet to be revealed when the anime was released in 1998).]]
* ''Anime/YuGiOh'':
** When she first appeared, the Dark Magician Girl was just another female monster, no more attractive than any monster before her and a fair bit more conservative than many. By the time of Season 4, her face is prettier, her body more shapely including larger breasts, and she's acknowledged in-universe as a sex symbol, to a point that the sequel series, ''Anime/YuGiOhGX'', made it a RunningGag that Syrus has a crush on her, and one episode revolved entirely around her spirit manifesting during a festival and the entire student body drooling over her.
** Several characters, male and female, get his with this in Darkside of Dimensions. Tea Gardner is the most noticeable. Puberty must have hit her like a speeding truck because she gained about three cup sizes since the end of the original series. She's also wearing noticeably tighter and more revealing clothes, with a skirt that is probably pushing it, even by the standards of Anime School Uniforms.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Comic Books]]
* ''ComicBook/BlackOrder'': Proxima Midnight had a manly set of pecs when she first appeared. These days her design is more standard [[MostCommonSuperPower comic book female]].
* ''Creator/CrossGen'': Reversed by the entire line, which started out very heavy on the fanservice. The publishers were eventually convinced that the stories were strong enough to stand on their merits, and all the female characters put more clothes on. The early art also got edited, when collected into trade paperbacks, to remove gratuitously erect nipples.
* ''ComicBook/DaughtersOfTheDragon'': Misty Knight and Colleen Wing were created in the 1970s, but during the 2006 relaunch they went from [[https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-bkRRm0bO26c/UuNovRIWNfI/AAAAAAAABxw/lXMlIISuE70/s1600/Dod1-2.png plain looking]] to [[https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/daughters_of_the_dragon_vol_1_6_textless.jpg stunningly sexy]].
* ''Franchise/DoctorWho'': In the comic series ''ComicBook/DoctorWhoTheLostDimension'', Bill's costume is much, much sexier (a bra-top, mesh shirt, and tiny denim shorts) than anything she wore in the ''Series/DoctorWho'' TV series.
* ''ComicBook/{{Druuna}}'': Druuna started out as a very beautiful but fairly lithe young woman. Over the course of the series, her figure became increasingly more voluptuous, perhaps because of in-story aging.
* ''ComicBook/{{Hawkeye}}'': Inverted with [[Characters/MarvelComicsKateBishop Kate Bishop]]. When first introduced in ''ComicBook/YoungAvengers'', she was drawn as the more mature-looking of the two female characters (the other being a 14-year-old girl, while she looked about 18/19), and her superhero outfit consisted of dark leather pants and a small, one-sleeved shirt that left her stomach and a right side of her upper torso mostly exposed, and for the most part she was the MsFanservice of the team. However, during ''ComicBook/MarvelNOW'', when she partnered with [[Characters/MarvelComicsClintBarton Clint Barton]] in ''ComicBook/Hawkeye2012'', she received a new costume that, while still relatively skin-tight, covered her torso completely and only left her hips and right arm exposed, while she was drawn with a more petite frame (to make things weirder, her earlier appearances had her with a VagueAge but a good chance of her being underage and was a student, while her recent appearances have now confirmed her as being in her early twenties). Her casual wear now remains lightly fanservice-y, but no more so than any young woman her age.
* ''ComicBook/TheIncredibleHulk'': Betty Ross was a quite plain-looking woman when she was introduced in TheSixties. When she became Red She-Hulk, Betty became much more sexualized, often suffering ClothingDamage, and at one point having sex with the Hulk while a guy with a giant eyeball for a head watched.
* ''ComicBook/{{Runaways}}'': Fans share a few jokes about the fact that once Sarah Pitchelli took over the art duties, [[{{Goth}} Nico's]] breasts and hair suddenly became three times bigger.
* ''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog'': Sally Acorn from ''ComicBook/SonicTheHedgehogArchieComics'' and ''ComicBook/SonicTheComic''. [[note]]Keep in mind: Sally as a character came from the early Western lore, based on the "Ricky" character in the games. Neither of these Sallys are the same character-- just two different takes on the same concept.[[/note]]
** She was only slightly feminine in the Archie comics at first, though she's got a noticeable figure compared to Ricky. During the mid-era, her design was much more feminine and in line with her ''[=SatAM=]'' self, eventually to the point she would be drawn as a full-blown HumanoidFemaleAnimal with a curvy physique and prominent breasts; combined with the fact that she was [[AccessoryWearingCartoonAnimal just as nude as the guys]], this particular design style ''bordered'' on BarbieDollAnatomy.
** At first in ''ComicBook/SonicTheComic'', she was not that hot at all, drawn more like her animal friend counterpart. In later installments and ''Webcomic/SonicTheComicOnline'', she ended up recieving a makeover to something resembling American Sally more.
** Bunnie Rabbot got hit with this as time went on, as Bunnie started off as pretty plain with her stomach and chest suggested to be just her belly fur. When Patrick "Spaz" Spaziante started drawing her, she became curvier, with her chest area becoming significantly bustier. Then, she got updated cybernetics, dumping her clunky look for something much slimmer.
* ''ComicBook/SpiderMan'': Betty Brant started out as [[Characters/MarvelComicsJJonahJameson J. Jonah Jameson]]'s mousy, timid secretary, with a tight, short, curly hairstyle, high necklines, and loose skirts. However, as the series went on, she became more outgoing and more aggressive, grew her hair out into a long, sleek bob, and eventually became a tough reporter who wore skimpy necklines and skintight dresses with high-heeled boots.
* ''ComicBook/{{Supergirl}}'': Pre-Crisis Supergirl started out as a cute-as-a-button fifteen-year-old girl. As her series went on, she became more beautiful and curvier; progression helped because she was allowed to age gradually. Before [[ComicBook/CrisisOnInfiniteEarths her death]], she had become a [[BuxomBeautyStandard stunning, buxom blonde woman]] in her mid-twenties.
* ''ComicBook/SuperMarioAdventures'': The anime-inspired art style is quite flattering on Princess Toadstool, giving her (especially pretty) Big Anime Eyes and a surprisingly big bust (which we get a good look at later on, see below) certainly helps.
* ''ComicBook/{{Supreme}}'': Parodied in the Creator/AlanMoore series, in which Twilight (a {{Gender Flip}}ped ComicBook/{{Robin}} CaptainErsatz), on being revived in the present day, switches from her innocent Silver Age-styled costume to a Dark Age-style fetishistic black leather catsuit and face-paint. The prudish ComicBook/{{Supergirl}} ersatz Suprema is shocked and bemused.
* ''ComicBook/TeenTitans'':
** ComicBook/{{Raven}} actually started out as a somewhat average-looking superheroine before George Perez decided to give her an excessively gaunt look to differentiate her from the other female characters on the team. She mostly remained this way after he left, save for when Eduardo Barretto drew her. After her resurrection in volume 3, she was revamped as being more conventionally attractive, although that also meant giving her [[MostCommonSuperpower much larger breasts]].
** With Duela Dent, the emphasis has shifted from the "creepy clown"-ness of her [[http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/0/3664/162336-196632-duela-dent.jpg early appearances]] to portraying her as more fanservice-y in her [[http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120816052938/heromux/images/3/31/Lunapic_13450903463476_8.jpg recent appearances]], including [[http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/0/9506/239132-14611-duela-dent.jpg giving her much skimpier outfits]].
* ''ComicBook/{{Thunderbolts}}'': When Screaming Mimi became Songbird, what used to be a FashionVictimVillain was now quite a pretty woman, even if with heavy competition in the team - a goon attacking the Thunderbolts described Songbird as "skinny chick" as opposed to MoonstoneMeteorite being "a blonde bombshell". Albeit once the title changed artists, Melissa's return was [[https://i.annihil.us/u/prod/marvel/i/mg/8/d0/5bdc646b3a224/clean.jpg like]] [[https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/S/cmx-images-prod/Item/701647/Previews/c433215d4628a8fdc14e117342c29526._SX360_QL80_TTD_.jpg this]], leading to more opportunities with Songbird having the MostCommonSuperpower (although usually only enough to fill out the FormFittingWardrobe) and revealing civilian attire.
* ''ComicBook/UltimateSpiderMan'': Jessica Drew, as Spider-Woman, was drawn with a modest bust size and even mocked by Bombshell as a gender-flipped Spider-Man with a B-cup. As Black Widow, she's usually drawn as being ''much'' more buxom, though that might be on account of her aging from 15 to 17.
* ''ComicBook/WonderWoman'':
** When Wonder Woman [[ComicBook/AllStarComicsNumber8 first appeared]] she was a lovely young woman with a modest chest wearing shorts and a backless bustier meant to show off the musculature of her back. She then spent the next [[ComicBook/WonderWoman1942 several]] [[ComicBook/WonderWoman1987 decades]] with her breasts and hips expanding while her costume shrunk.
** [[Characters/WonderGirlCassieSandsmark Cassie Sandsmark]], ComicBook/WonderGirl, was introduced with boyish short hair and was intentionally designed to look like an awkward tomboyish middle schooler, with her costume including a baggy shirt and jacket. Then in ComicBook/TeenTitans she was made-up to look like the stereotypical cheerleader wearing lipstick, long hair and tight clothes that showed off her midriff and (new) cleavage.
* ''ComicBook/XMen'':
** [[Characters/MarvelComicsKittyPryde Kitty Pryde]] has always been cute (if sometimes showing dubious taste in costumes) but definitely got hotter over the years. It helps that she was allowed to age over time, gradually going from a 13-year-old TagalongKid to a sexy, confident 20-something. This culminated with her appearance in Creator/JossWhedon's ''ComicBook/AstonishingXMen'', where she had an unexpectedly risqué nude scene and finally got around to sleeping with Colossus after almost 30 years (although in her defense, he was [[DeathIsCheap dead]] for some of that time).
** [[Characters/MarvelComicsRogue Rogue]] was plain ugly in her debut and has only a modest physique. Then she [[BeautyEqualsGoodness joined the X-Men]] and increasingly became hotter and hotter. By the time Creator/JimLee drew her, Rogue was now one of [[BuxomBeautyStandard the most beautiful, buxom, curvaceous female characters in all of Marvel Comics]], and her outfits went from jumpsuits to SensualSpandex to a bikini and Daisy Dukes. Among the X-Men, Rogue is only really rivalled by [[Characters/MarvelComicsStorm Storm]], [[Characters/MarvelComicsEmmaFrost Emma Frost]] and BoobsAndButtPose-incarnate [[Characters/MarvelComicsPsylocke Psylocke]] when it comes to attractiveness.
** Marrow came by this through certain artists. Then they did it plot-wise. She's healed from injuries in a Skrull medical chamber and, of course, comes out that much hotter. ''Slightly'' handwaved in that her skeletal structure is very malleable (it's her power) but still.
** ComicBook/RachelSummers started out in ''ComicBook/UncannyXMen'' as a skinny woman with a crew cut and a penchant for leotards and legwarmers (probably since it was the 80s). After a Wolverine-related injury, she was taken to Spiral's other dimensional "Body Shoppe" and subjected to a never-elaborated-upon process (the Body Shoppe usually specialized in cybernetics), so that when she reappeared in ''ComicBook/{{Excalibur|MarvelComics}}'' she looked like a [[MostCommonSuperpower porn star]] and wore a spike-studded red leather catsuit (granted she had a mullet, but to be fair, it was the 90s). She also wore a similar catsuit in flashbacks (when she was a brainwashed slave of the anti-mutant Sentinels), though that was more an EvilCostumeSwitch. Part of it might also be that Alan Davis (co-creator of ''Excalibur'') is a better artist, and/or that he noticed various characters had mentioned Rachel looking a lot like [[KidFromTheFuture her mother Jean Grey]] and decided he should make that actually be true.

[[folder:Fan Works]]
* Happens a ''lot'' in Fanfic, especially when a character has spent some time apart from the rest of the cast. In ''Franchise/HarryPotter'' fandom, this tends to be signaled by the StockPhrases "changed over the summer" and "CurvesInAllTheRightPlaces".
* In [[http://www.fanfiction.net/~mrevil Mr. Evil's]] ''WesternAnimation/CodeLyoko'' Fanfic series ''[[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2680689/1/Lyoko_Championship Lyoko Championship]]'', the OriginalCharacter Susan Knives is described to have increase in her Fanservice Pack with each new story.
* ''Fanfic/TheChildOfLove'': Due to her pregnancy, Asuka becomes bustier that she was in the proper series. In the sequel, Rei notes her breasts are now bigger and her bra size has increased by at least three sizes, much to Asuka's embarrassment and anger.
* ''Fanfic/LastChildOfKrypton'':
** As his SuperStrength begins manifesting, Shinji's muscle mass grows and increases. He tries to [[ClarkKentOutfit hide it]], but the women he lives and works with notice he is very well-built.
** After [[spoiler:her Amazonian heritage,]] was revealed [[spoiler:Asuka's muscles]] became stronger and bulkier without making her looking less womanly and feminine. In the rewrite it happened when [[spoiler:her DNA got mixed with kryptonian genes.]]
* ''Fanfic/SOE2LoneHeirOfKrypton'': Due to being half-[[Franchise/{{Superman}} Kryptonian]] and exercising, Asuka's body becomes more muscular, stronger and curvier. Shinji can not take his eyes off her because he thinks she is beautiful and gorgeous.
** Most of the other ''Fanfic/SuperwomenOfEva'' also obtain their fair share of additional muscles as a result of their superpowers, either as an additional effect of them triggering (like Asuka's example above or on ''Treacherous Web'') or they manifest when they are in "superhero mode" to help them maintain a SecretIdentity (such as in ''Emerald Courage'').
* ''Fanfic/ThousandShinji'': As she transforms into a ''[[TabletopGame/Warhammer40000 Khornate berserker]]'', Asuka's body evolves and she becomes stronger and more muscular. When her transformation finalizes her body is defined like spectacularly muscular and athletic and still womanly and feminine.

[[folder:Films -- Animation]]
* Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III in ''WesternAnimation/HowToTrainYourDragon'' starts off as a weedy, SociallyAwkwardHero teenager struggling to catch up with his peers in terms of everything, but his personality, moments with Toothless and his [[TheWoobie woobie]] moments have been read as endearing to many fans, leading to him being paired off with nearly every character in the film in the fandom ([[Fanfic/RiseOfTheBraveTangledDragons and quite a few not in the film]]). Cut to five years later in ''WesternAnimation/HowToTrainYourDragon2'' and puberty had hit him like a truck, making him [[SheIsAllGrownUp genuinely handsome]] for the audience, paving the way for slash-fics (well, a greater amount of slash-fics anyway) and FanArt ever since his reveal in the film's first trailers.
* Helen Parr, aka Elastigirl, was already voluptuous in ''WesternAnimation/TheIncredibles1'', having especially wide hips [[WeightWoe (much to her chagrin)]]. In the ''WesternAnimation/Incredibles2'' however she got ''even more'' curvy, attaining a bigger bust, increased muscle tone, and even broader hips. Her daughter Violet has also developed somewhat larger hips, [[JustifiedTrope likely due to puberty]].

[[folder:Films -- Live-Action]]
* ''Film/FlodderInAmerika'': Female Kees is significantly curvier in this film than the first, especially around the hips.
* Pretty much the entire cast in the ''Literature/HarryPotter'' [[Film/HarryPotter movies]]. Justified in that the actors grew up along with the series, but the filmmakers do seem to delight in getting Hermione dolled up, putting Harry in bubble baths, and putting muscle shirts on Ron in the later films.
** ''[[{{Series/SaturdayNightLive}} Saturday Night Live]]'' famously lampooned this by in [[https://youtu.be/uwfdFCP3KYM a skit featuring a very pubescent Lindsey Lohan as Hermione]].
** Especially true with [[https://www.pressdigital.es/multimedia/images/MatthewLewis.jpg Matthew Lewis]] who played Neville Longbottom.
* Carrie Fisher was always beautiful, but most of her character, Princess Leia's outfits were pretty modest - then came the iconic GoGoEnslavement metal bikini in Film/ReturnOfTheJedi , which left little to the imagination. Although it's technically FanDisservice, it's one of the most remembered moments from ''Return of the Jedi'' for a reason.
%% * Kitty Pryde in ''Film/XMenTheLastStand'' while wearing her X-Men uniform.

[[folder:Live-Action TV]]
%% The following Administrivia/{{Zero Context Example}}s have been commented out and copied to Discussion. Please don't add them back unless you also add context to show how they fit this trope.
%% * Kate Beckett, ''Series/{{Castle|2009}}''.
%% * Chloe O'Brian, ''Series/TwentyFour''.
%% * Debra Barone on ''Series/EverybodyLovesRaymond''.
%% * Elaine Benes, ''Series/{{Seinfeld}}''.
%% * Toshiko Sato, ''Series/{{Torchwood}}''.
* Through some kind of time-travel wackiness, Trance from ''Series/{{Andromeda}}'' went from being a purple alien babe to a scaly, autumn-colored babe. It may have been one of those things to make the makeup easier on the actress. But she was about equally hot in either form, really.
* Willow in ''Series/BuffyTheVampireSlayer''. She's introduced with awful taste in clothes that her mother picked out for her and then has a tendency for childish sweaters and the like. ExecutiveMeddling told Joss Whedon that Willow had to look "more hip" like Buffy, thus giving us episodes where she dresses as a hot goth for Halloween and has a vampire alter ego in a SpyCatsuit. By the fourth season her clothes became more figure flattering and fashionable - also reflecting her CharacterDevelopment from shy nerd to powerful witch.
* In the spin-off ''Series/{{Angel}}'', Wesley gets a similar treatment with a [[GirlinessUpgrade Masculinity Upgrade]], going from Adorkable though somewhat Pierce Brosnan-y, to a rugged Marlboro Man type.
* ''Series/DoctorWho'':
** Nyssa and Tegan get one each. In Nyssa's final story, she announces that she feels feverish and then promptly strips down to her camisole, remaining in that state for some time. According to the [[WordOfGod commentary track]], it was an entirely deliberate piece of fanservice. Nyssa actually got two. Previously, the fairy skirt of her original costume was replaced with a tight pair of pants.
** To a lesser extent, Rory in the new series. As his badass levels increased, he got far more flattering clothes, a liberal amount of hair gel and was put in some very nice uniforms.
** Lady Cassandra goes from being a [[FacialHorror piece of skin acting as a face of sorts]] controlled by [[BrainInAJar her brain]] to [[GrandTheftMe taking over the body of Rose Tyler]] and becoming the Doctor's companion for a short time. As a Foil to Rose, she is something akin to the [[FemmeFatale seductive Femme Fatale archetype]] when compared to Rose's loyal companion rol. Since she takes on some of Rose' s traits, she also isn't shy about acting upon her feelings, [[BigDamnKiss giving the Doctor a passionate kiss]] once she gets the chance, being much more straightforward and honest. She is also somewhat happy with [[ShowingOffTheNewBody exposing more of Rose's figure]] and is proud about [[ShamelessFanserviceGirl being the center of attention.]]
* ''Series/ICarly'':
** Freddie Benson went from being a young StalkerWithACrush to being a rather attractive young man.
** Sam and her transformation that started in Season 3.
* Detective Sergeant Barbara Havers of ''Series/TheInspectorLynleyMysteries'', despite [[AdaptationalAttractiveness being played by]] the gorgeous Creator/SharonSmall, spent the run of the show up through series four going around in baggy sweaters and oversized coats, and with very short hair. In series five she shows up with hair past her shoulders and wearing much more form-fitting clothes.
* Lisa Zemo of ''Series/NedsDeclassifiedSchoolSurvivalGuide'', via a new round of powerful anti-histamines and contact lenses.
* Pam Beesly from ''Series/{{The Office|US}}'', in season 4, after she officially became [[spoiler: Jim's girlfriend]] and pledged to be a more assertive person. She gets rid of the ponytail and wears more stylish clothes.
* At the end of the first season of ''Series/OurFlagMeansDeath'', aristocrat-turned-pirate captain Stede Bonnet voluntarily relinquishes his wealth and status [[spoiler:to be with his true love, Blackbeard]]. In the process, he sheds his colorful dandy wardrobe for a more rugged, piratical look, including an earring, which makes him look quite dashing.
* Djaq from ''Series/RobinHood'', who starts as a SweetPollyOliver with a crew cut and bulky clothes, and ends as a drop-dead gorgeous Saracen noblewoman.
* Elliot Reid from ''Series/{{Scrubs}}'' started as a cute nerd and became a hottie only a few seasons later as part of her CharacterDevelopment.
* ''Series/TheShield''. Depending on which end of the facial hair debate you fall under, Ronnie Gardocki trading in his nerdy mustache for a full-on beard counts.
* Meadow Soprano in ''Series/TheSopranos''. To such an extent that her first post-18th episode in Season 3 has her in a bikini.
* Gabrielle on ''Series/XenaWarriorPrincess'' managed to wear less and less clothing as the series went on. She started in an ankle-length skirt and poofy sleeves and ended in a miniskirt and what is essentially a bra. Granted, her initial outfit would be cumbersome and inhibiting in combat, so it makes sense that she trimmed it down a ''little'' for better freedom of movement, but the show pushed it to an extreme. Xena, remarkably, maintained the same basic level of coverage. Which took her from being pretty exposed to relatively modest when compared to her sidekick. Even more interesting is that Gabrielle's short hairstyle later on is ''completely logical'' for a warrior that regularly engages in melee combat, as long hair is considered an easy handhold and thus a liability. Unrealistically, Xena, the more experienced and skilled fighter of the two, keeps her long, flowing hair throughout the entire series.
%% * Quinn in ''Series/Zoey101'', who started as HollywoodHomely and a nerd.
* Thanks to Piper purchasing a nightclub in ''Series/{{Charmed|1998}}'' the sisters all had plenty of excuses to be seen dolled up and wearing fashionable evening wear in every other episode. And that's not even mentioning the amount of {{Stripperiffic}} magical creatures they end up getting turned into. The pack actually got subverted in Season 8 since the actresses went to the producers and complained about it so their clothing is a little bit more modest in that season, plus a new MsFanservice is introduced.
* Season 2 of ''Series/H2OJustAddWater'' has the girls wearing a lot more figure flattering clothing and sexier outfits, especially for Cleo. Many fans experienced ShesAllGrownUp feelings.
* Guinevere in ''Series/{{Merlin|2008}}''. She starts out as a commoner, with the associated plain clothes and modest appearance but becomes ProgressivelyPrettier as the show goes on.
* Annie of ''Series/{{Community}}'' went from being a cute and preppy girl with the occasional moments of being BeautifulAllAlong to the shows resident MsFanservice. Admittedly it took them from about season one to season two to do this, but there was still a transition.
-->'''Jeff''': [[MemeticMutation Annie's pretty young, we try not to sexualize her.]]
* Reversed with Ziva in ''Series/{{NCIS}}''. While she's never portrayed as unattractive her first appearance is in a swimsuit. When she becomes a member of the team her dress becomes strictly professional.
* Amanda in ''Series/{{Defiance}}'' due mostly a change in jobs. In Season 1 she is the Mayor of the town and dresses accordingly. In Season 2 [[spoiler: after The Earth Republic takes over the town and after her sister's death]] she takes over The Want/Need, a bar/brothel and...dresses accordingly.
* Part way through ''Series/StarTrekDeepSpaceNine'', Major Kira gets a minor but still rather startling fanservice upgrade redesign, with longer hair, more make-up, and high-heeled shoes. Her Bajoran militia uniform is also redesigned to flatter her figure.
* ''[[Series/WonderWoman1975 Wonder Woman]]'': [[SecretIdentity Diana Prince]] goes from wearing a military uniform in season 1 to wearing the latest fashions by seasons 2 and 3. Wonder Woman gets a [[LeotardOfPower costume]] upgrade as her outfit is redesigned specifically for Creator/LyndaCarter.
* In the ''Series/MyBabysittersAVampire'' TV movie, Erica was a unattractive, glasses-wearing HollywoodHomely character. After she became a vampire on the show, she's giving ''Sarah'' a run for her money in attractiveness.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Music]]
* Music/AvrilLavigne combined this with GirlinessUpgrade for her album "The Best Damn Thing". The music videos for "Girlfriend" and "Hot" especially.
* Over the course of the peak of his career, Music/{{Eminem}}'s image changed from a sneering, sweaty, dark-haired bro in a baseball cap, to a savage, mean, intoxicated little gremlin-man with blond hair and blue eyes, to a sculpted heartthrob who kept having excuses found for him to pose naked or shirtless. He'd genuinely disturbed viewers with his rolled-back eyes and twitchy movements in the video for "Guilty Conscience" in 1999, but by 2002, he was pouting and smouldering in photographs and film critics were describing him as looking 'like a punched angel'. While his looks faded somewhat afterwards due to him acquiring an addiction to Ambien, gaining a lot of weight, and then losing it, he was still marketing his music based on sex as late as 2009's "3 a.m.", where he spends most of the video shirtless or in a bathtub full of blood.

[[folder:Mythology & Religion]]
* The angels in Literature/TheBible were never described in the "beautiful person with fluffy white wings, golden penumbra and possibly a bare chest" way that many people today are most familiar with. This [[NewerThanTheyThink was invented by Renaissance artists]]. While angels are barely described in the Bible, it's implied that when visible to mortals they have an awe-inspiring but somewhat fearsome appearance. None of Adam's descendants ''dare'' to return to Eden once it is angel-guarded, and the first words of the Messenger to the shepherds are "Be not afraid!" The Apocrypha ascribe some StarfishAlien appearances to angels (albeit with an emphasis on feathery wings) and number Death as one of the angelic host -- probably the only one who has never been re-interpreted as a blonde in a glowing nightgown.

[[folder:Video Games]]
* Eve goes from having the design of a cute teenager in ''VideoGame/BlasterMasterZero'' to having a ''much'' more prominent bust in ''VideoGame/BlasterMasterZeroII'', however it comes as a result of a parasite infection and makes her considerably less attractive. [[spoiler:Achieving the GoldenEnding of the game removes the infection and Eve gets to keep her bigger breasts]].
* ''VideoGame/BlazBlue'':
** Taokaka has more noticeable... assets in the sequel. Which is [[TheFaceless kind of an odd choice for a character to apply this trope to]].
** From ''Continuum Shift'' to ''Chrono Phantasma'', Noel Vermillion goes from [[http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb57525/blazblue/images/7/7b/Noel_Vermillion_%28Continuum_Shift%2C_Character_Select_Artwork%29.png this]] to [[http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20121211154119/blazblue/images/b/ba/Noel_Vermillion_(Chronophantasma,_Character_Select_Artwork).png this.]]
** Tsubaki's powered-up form, Izayoi. [[http://static.minitokyo.net/downloads/32/18/490932.jpg?938738686 Before]], and [[https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/blazblue/images/d/dd/Izayoi_%28Story_Mode_Artwork%2C_Normal%29.png/revision/latest?cb=20140724173148 after]].
* In ''VideoGame/BlazblueCrossTagBattle'''s artwork and anime-styled trailers and intro sequences, all of the WebAnimation/{{RWBY}} heroines bar Weiss have had a bust size boost. Ruby's outfit is a slightly modified version of her Beacon saga outfit that puts more emphasis on her chest, Blake has received a bust upgrade, and Yang (who was already a really buxom MsFanservice) practically has impossible boobs by now. Amusingly, Weiss (who is fanonically depicted as having ACupAngst) has ''not'' had this treatment, and the actual in-game sprites are faithful to how they look in the show.
* ''VideoGame/ChoAniki'': Zigzagged with Benten. She initially donned a plain dress with a modestly built chest in the first game, then ''Ai Cho Aniki'' depicted her wearing a strapless leotard before ''Bakuretsu Ranto Hen'' puts her in a more modest but still revealing qipao, then ''Kyuukyoku Muteki Ginga Saikyou Otoko'' placed her back in a normal dress before ''Zero'' plays it straight by giving her a more muscular body and [[BreastExpansion larger breasts]] along with placing her in a [[LeotardOfPower leotard]] once more, this time it [[SexyBacklessOutfit does not cover the back of her upper body]] nor [[{{Sideboob}} the sides of her breasts]].
* ''VideoGame/CommandAndConquerRedAlertSeries'' has Agent Tanya, a female commando who serves as the Allies' HeroUnit. In the first game, her sex appeal was limited to some bare midriff, then the second game cast BMovie bombshell Creator/KariWuhrer in the role, replaced Tanya's tactical vest with a tank top, and played most of her scenes for fanservice. By the third game she's literally played by [[Creator/JennyMcCarthy a former Playboy centerfold]] and looks it. Amusingly, she also went from [[BlondeBrunetteRedhead brunette to redhead to blonde]] during this transition.
* ''VideoGame/CrashBandicoot'':
** {{Zigzagged|Trope}} with Coco. Originally, she wore youthful overalls, and had a very childlike design. She then started physically maturing and wearing a midriff exposing t-shirt and [[PaintedOnPants tight jeans]] in ''VideoGame/CrashNitroKart''. ''VideoGame/CrashMindOverMutant'' gave her an even shorter shirt, along with a noticeable bust and HartmanHips. ''VideoGame/CrashBandicootNSaneTrilogy'' and ''VideoGame/CrashTeamRacingNitroFueled'' reverted her to her more childlike design, but also gave her a slight bustline. ''VideoGame/CrashBandicoot4ItsAboutTime'' inverts it once more by giving her a more slender figure. Most recently, ''VideoGame/CrashOnTheRun'' gives her a more prominent bustline.
** Both inverted ''and'' played straight with the Nitro Squad in ''VideoGame/CrashTeamRacingNitroFueled''. Ami and Liz have their skirts lengthened, Liz's tank top is a little longer, and both are now wearing pants. On the other hand, both they and their fellow Nitro Squad members (including Tawna) come with skin-tight motorsport suits, despite having less curvy proportions overall and no bounce. Also, Ami gained some [[AmazonianBeauty muscles]], and Isabella's track suit is a little tighter and she's gotten a [[DownplayedTrope beauty mark]]. Not to mention that as DLC characters, they're a ''[[LiteralMetaphor literal]]'' [[LiteralMetaphor fan service pack]].
** Downplayed with Pasadena O'Possum when she gets added to the above game; she gains pink lipstick and her racing overalls are much tighter, to emphasize her figure and [[HartmanHips hips]].
** In ''VideoGame/CrashBandicoot4ItsAboutTime'', an [[AlternateSelf alternate version]] of Tawna shows up. Her most distinguishing feature is that she has a [[HartmanHips thicker set of buns and thighs]], which is highlighted by a rather tight pair of jeans.
* ''VideoGame/DanganronpaAnotherEpisodeUltraDespairGirls'': Toko Fukawa is a lot bustier than how she was in the first game.
* Sally Spears from ''VideoGame/DetectiveGrimoire'' debuts as an already fairly curvy woman with a flirty personality in ''Secret of The Swamp''. In ''Tangle Tower'' she gained even bigger hips, though funnily enough she lost her flirty personality and now holds a lot of disdain towards her figure.
-->'''Sally:''' Look, Detective. When you have [[HartmanHips legs like mine]], you don't want to be wearing disguises.
* ''VideoGame/DevilMayCry'':
** Trish seems to get bustier with each new game appearance. In the [[VideoGame/DevilMayCry1 original game]], she looked like [[https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/devilmaycry/images/a/ac/DMC_Trish.png this,]] for her reappearance in the [[VideoGame/DevilMayCry4 fourth game]], she looked like [[https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/devilmaycry/images/7/70/DMC4_-_Trish.png this,]] with a noticeably more buxom bust [[spoiler:(moreso in her guise as [[https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/devilmaycry/images/d/de/DMC4_Gloria.png Gloria]])]], and in ''VideoGame/MarvelVsCapcom3'' she looks like [[https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/devilmaycry/images/2/2d/MvC3Trish.png this.]]
** Lady changed quite a bit physically between ''VideoGame/DevilMayCry3DantesAwakening'' and ''VideoGame/DevilMayCry4'', growing a couple of breast sizes and her outfit gained a NavelDeepNeckline to show off the new cleavage. ''5'' returns her to resembling her original proportions closer and she also loses the NavelDeepNeckline.
* In ''VideoGame/DonkeyKong64'', Tiny Kong was a toddler in overalls, as she's Dixie Kong's ''younger'' sister. Starting with the [[Platform/NintendoDS DS]] UpdatedRerelease of ''VideoGame/DiddyKongRacing'', she's suddenly a teenager and sports a midriff-baring tank top and sweatpants. This "age-up" was originally done to let her reuse VideoGame/{{Banjo|Kazooie}}'s animations from the N64 version of ''Diddy Kong Racing'' without having to change the rigging, though how Dixie's younger sister suddenly looks much ''older'' than her goes unexplained in-universe.
* In ''Franchise/DoubleDragon'', [[TheSmurfettePrinciple token female]] whip-wielding mook Linda has gotten steadily more {{fanservice}}y. In ''1'' she had bare shoulders and wore purple, but was otherwise had a mannish appearance and was barely recognizable as female. In ''2'' and most of the arcade versions she was a reasonably buxom but otherwise rather butch punk with a mohawk. She was then absent until the Super Nintendo version of ''Battletoads & Double Dragon'', where she was a busty blonde in a midriff shirt and camo. Then ''Neon'' turned her into a {{Dominatrix}} (likely to fit with her [[WhipOfDominance weapon of choice being a whip]]) and upgraded the fanservice to the point of parody.
* Another literal, if mild, Fanservice Pack occurred in ''VideoGame/DungeonsAndDragonsOnline''. Standard garb for male and female characters is fully covering, but players can buy cosmetic "kits" that change the look, often displaying more skin. After a recent update, players discovered that familiar NPC hirelings had started wearing them as well.
* ''Franchise/TheElderScrolls'':
** Nocturnal, the [[OurGodsAreDifferent Daedric Prince]] of [[TheSacredDarkness Night and Darkness]], has received this treatment throughout the series. Her ''[[VideoGame/TheElderScrollsVSkyrim Skyrim]]'' depiction wears a black cloak which barely covers her legs, completely exposing the thighs, while the top [[NavelDeepNeckline reveals her cleavage down to her belly]]. This is in contrast to her ''[[VideoGame/TheElderScrollsIIDaggerfall Daggerfall]]'' and ''[[VideoGame/TheElderScrollsIVOblivion Oblivion]]'' appearances, which instead have her in a robe that is far less revealing.
** Azura, the Daedric Prince of Dawn and Dusk, inverts the trope. In ''Daggerfall'', her sprite is actually topless. In ''[[VideoGame/TheElderScrollsIIIMorrowind Morrowind]]'' and ''Oblivion'', her statues are topless but [[NippleAndDimed lacking]] in [[BarbieDollAnatomy details]]. Her avatar which appears in ''Morrowind'' and ''Tribunal'' is much more modestly dressed. Her statues in ''Skyrim'' and ''[[VideoGame/TheElderScrollsOnline Online]]'' are no longer topless, having a NavelDeepNeckline instead.
* In ''VideoGame/EverQuest'', Firiona Vie was blatant fanservice from the beginning, but around the ''Shadows of Luclin'' expansion they turned her top, formerly more or less a sports bra, into two pieces of cloth laced together. Years later Sony Online Entertainment decided to try and get away from their reputation of using fanservice to sell ''[=EverQuest=]'' and returned Vie to her original look.
* ''Franchise/FateSeries'':
** In ''VideoGame/FateExtra [[{{Interquel}} CCC]]'', the three playable servants are given alternate costumes to wear. While [[http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20111208160434/typemoon/images/d/d0/SaberBride.png Saber's]] outfit is actually ''less'' fanservicey than her [[http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20111125171318/typemoon/images/2/2a/Saber_%28Fate_Extra%29.png original one]], [[http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20111208160435/typemoon/images/2/2a/ArcherCCC.png Archer]] and [[http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20111208160434/typemoon/images/6/6c/CasterCCC.png Caster]] have no such luck.
** [[VisualNovel/FateStayNight That other Saber]] gets hit with this in ''VideoGame/FateGrandOrder'', receiving several AU versions who make the original ''Fate/stay night'''s Rider look flat-chested. Rider, too, gets an alternate form who's even more voluminous and revealingly-clothed than the original. Inverted, on the other hand, inasmuch as Type-Moon has long since left behind its phase of doing outright X-rated material.
* ''Franchise/FinalFantasy'':
** ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyX2'' has two examples in Yuna and Rikku. In ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyX'', Rikku wears a vest and hotpants, but trades that for a thong[=/=]bikini miniskirt combo in the sequel. Yuna, on the other hand, goes from a conservatively dressed (albeit with a black bra showing) summoner, to hot pants and a NavelDeepNeckline halter top complete with the Zanarkand Abes logo hanging there.
** Penelo in ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXIIRevenantWings'', wears less clothing and gets more screentime than in her appearance in ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXII''. Though admittedly she is wearing her ''Revenant Wings'' costume in the ending sequence of ''FFXII''.
** Serah Farron from ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXIII'' and ''[[VideoGame/FinalFantasyXIII2 XIII-2]]''. In ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXIII'' Serah spends most of the game as a crystal (it's a long story) and whilst clearly designed to be cute, doesn't really wear anything more revealing than a Type A ZettaiRyouiki -- actually making her the most conservatively dressed of the major characters. Come [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyXIII2 the sequel]]; and Serah's now wearing a very tight and very short dress, still rocking the ZettaiRyouiki, and has, depending on your interpretation, either [[HiddenBuxom started showing off her cleavage]] or has "developed" since the first game.
** Serah's big sister Lightning has received a HotterAndSexier makeover for ''VideoGame/LightningReturnsFinalFantasyXIII'', complete with larger breasts and JigglePhysics.
** Male example in ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXV'' with Ifrit. Common to the series, he usually takes on the form of a giant hulking hell-beast. In this game, he's a tall, muscular WalkingShirtlessScene with red skin and goat horns.
* ''Franchise/FireEmblem'':
** Micaiah, the main protagonist of ''VideoGame/FireEmblemRadiantDawn'', got a bit taller and a lot bustier when she returned as DownloadableContent in ''VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening''.
** Mia from ''VideoGame/FireEmblemPathOfRadiance'' also gains at least two cup sizes in the sequel.
** ''VideoGame/FireEmblemHeroes'' has a lot of this, as many fans noted when official art of the game started being released. Numerous female characters got larger chests, longer legs, and/or more revealing clothing cuts than were present in original art. Although less frequent, notable build changes show up in some male characters too; sometimes they are simply more buff, and sometimes you have [[VideoGame/FireEmblemGenealogyOfTheHolyWar Shanan's]] pectoral muscles straining to escape from a very thin shirt.
* Baiken in ''VideoGame/GuiltyGear'' was originally made as an {{Expy}} of [[Manga/RurouniKenshin Kenshin Himura]], so she looked fairly masculine, and even other fighters joked about how masculine she is. When Baiken returned in ''Xrd Rev 2'', that was [[GirlinessUpgrade thrown out the window]]. Her following gain in popularity led to a lot of people unsuccessfully [[BestKnownForTheFanservice "maining" her]] due to her highly technical playstyle. Notably, while many returning characters in ''Guilty Gear Strive'' were redesigned, Baiken just got a bigger chest.
* A male version is ''VideoGame/HonkaiStarRail'''s Dan Heng. He's a tall, slim, dark-haired, and stoic PrettyBoy who carries a spear and has red {{Guyliner}} on one eye. However, once his [[spoiler:true heritage as the exiled High Elder of the draconic Vidyadhara is revealed,]] his new form becomes a beautiful LongHairedPrettyBoy in a revealing SexyBacklessOutfit with a lotus shaped cutout, a detached sleeve revealing one shoulder, and a diamond-shaped CleavageWindow on his chest.
* ''VideoGame/KanColle'':
** Amagi loses the all-concealing kimono, revealing skimpier attire, after getting remodelled.
** Isuzu becomes visibly bustier after her second remodel.
* In ''VideoGame/KnightsOfTheOldRepublicIITheSithLords'', the Handmaiden starts out wearing a sensible white outfit that, while being a little tighter than would occur in reality, did cover her from head to toe. Challenge her to a duel, and she shows up in her underwear (Echani tradition dictates fighting duels in the nude, but the game is T-rated. Or rather, the Handmaiden ''claims'' Echani tradition dictates that. Atton, who while not Echani himself has some experience with their traditions, implies that that kind of duel is ''supposed'' to wait until you're a bit more familiar with one another). Turn her to the Dark Side and she'll start going for a slightly goth-ish look as well, which works surprisingly well with her WhiteHairBlackHeart nature.
* ''VideoGame/LastCloudia'': After losing her master's powers, Lukiel goes from wearing a one-piece attire with gloves and boots to a dress that [[BareMidriffsAreFeminine bares her midriff]], hands, and feet.
* Riot Games has slowly been doing this for some older champions in ''VideoGame/LeagueOfLegends'', along with replacing some of the outdated looking splash arts for some characters. Giving them more polished designs and making them overall more attractive. Tristana in particular is an especially extreme example -- her 2015 rework basically makes her hit puberty, and she grows from a pint-sized little girl into a sleek, shapely, midriff-baring woman.
** Partially Inverted in one case; ChainmailBikini-wearing Sejuani got almost entirely covered and now wears a BreastPlate. Partially because while she was covered up more, her bust size was also increased.
* ''Franchise/TheLegendOfZelda'': When Creator/{{Nintendo}} was making ''[[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaOcarinaOfTime Ocarina of Time]]'', they were originally going to give Link a character design similar to the one in ''[[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaALinkToThePast A Link to the Past]]'' and ''[[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaLinksAwakening Link's Awakening]]''. [[http://iwataasks.nintendo.com/interviews/#/3ds/zelda-ocarina-of-time/1/7 Then the wife of the character designer, Yoshiaki Koizumi, asked if she could redesign him to be better-looking.]] [[ThrowItIn He complied.]] The ''A Link To The Past'''s GBA remake gives Link a cuter and cleaner-looking anime-inspired design, with a smaller nose.
-->'''Aonuma:''' So Link is your wife's type?\
'''Koizumi:''' Yes.
* Nowel Diastasis of ''VideoGame/MagicalBattleArena'' seems to have gone through this in the sequel complete with a bare midriff, SexyBacklessOutfit and LettingHerHairDown. To illustrate this, [[http://cdn.staticneo.com/w/doujin/2/2b/MBA_Nowel.jpg this]] is her in the original game and [[https://imgur.com/a/veMmR3N this]] is her in ''NEXT''.
* ''VideoGame/MassEffect3'' made the returning female cast more conventionally attractive across the board, generally by increasing makeup and/or bra size. Ashley Williams in particular was noted to have upped her blush and eyeshadow, put on some lip gloss, and swapped her practical hairbun and combat armor for shoulder-length model hair and a tight pantsuit. (Though she does get back into armor later in the game.)
* ''VideoGame/MaxPayne'': Mona Sax's gorgeous redesign in ''Max Payne 2'', in addition to her being an AscendedExtra.
* ''Franchise/MegaMan'':
** Alia as of ''VideoGame/MegaManX8''. She [[LettingHerHairDown let her hair down]], received an "upgrade" that gave her large breasts, [[RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap among other things]].
** Doctor Orihime of ''VideoGame/MegaManStarForce 2'' developed a ''much'' more prominent chest in ''Ryuusei no Rock Man Tribe'', TheAnimeOfTheGame.
** Played straight and inverted with Iris. In ''VideoGame/MegaManX4'', she has visible breasts, but in ''Mega Man Xtreme 2'', she's flat-chested. Although ''Xtreme 2'' was released after ''X4'', it chronologically takes place before ''X4''.
* ''VideoGame/MetalGear'':
** Otacon started out as a ratty-looking nerd and became much more attractive in later games (probably to compensate for [[PlotRelevantAgeUp what happens to Snake]]). {{Lampshaded}} by Raiden in ''VideoGame/MetalGearRisingRevengeance'' who comments that Otacon suddenly became really attractive when he hit his 30s.
** Solid Snake himself. Kojima's first idea for him was that he would be middle-aged, and he initially wanted a "dandyish old man" for his ''VideoGame/MetalGearSolid'' redesign, but character designer Yoji Shinkawa convinced him that a handsome young hero would be better, and gave him a total redesign based on that.
* Played partially straight in ''VideoGame/MetalSlug'' with Fio: In the games her design never changes due to using the same sprite, but in the official art her bust gets noticeably bigger with every game.
* Sonya Blade of ''Franchise/MortalKombat''. In the first game she wore a green top and pants that bore her midriff but was still fairly covered up. ''[[VideoGame/MortalKombatDeadlyAlliance Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance]]'' has her in a white crop top, tight leather pants and her thong strap visible on her hips. ''VideoGame/{{Mortal Kombat|9}}'' has a bulletproof vest with a NavelDeepNeckline, tight black leather pants, and CombatStilettos. ''[[VideoGame/MortalKombatX Mortal Kombat X]]'' has her going back to a more conservative look.
* The ''VideoGame/NeverwinterNights'' module creating community has several ''literal'' fan service packs, especially the hacks that accompany ''VideoGame/ADanceWithRogues''.
* Irene Lew from ''VideoGame/NinjaGaiden'' [[spoiler: and ''VideoGame/DeadOrAlive'']], started out as a modestly attractive brunette in the original NES trilogy, then graduates into a tall, shapely, blonde ActionGirl with a NavelDeepNeckline in the newer ''VideoGame/NinjaGaiden'' [[spoiler: and ''VideoGame/DeadOrAlive'']] games.
* ''VideoGame/{{Neptunia}}'':
** [=CPUs=] in the series almost all undergo a level of this when transforming. It goes from subtle (Noire just smiles more and shows more or less the same amount of skin) to overt (Neptune puts on about four years and at least as many cup sizes) to Plutia (who goes from an adorable girl wearing fluffy bunny slippers to a {{Dominatrix}} sex goddess). Considering the girls are all personifications of various game consoles, [[LiteralMetaphor the trope name can be taken literally]].
** Uni actually reverses this; she loses some of her height, curves, and bust when she transforms, to the point where another character wonders aloud if she pads her more covering casual dress. (As with many CPU traits, this is a joke on the console she represents. Later, more powerful models of PSP were also slimmer.)
* ''VideoGame/NintendoWars'': The ''Reboot Camp'' rerelease gives all of the female characters significant bust increases. The CO power cut-ins allow you to appreciate their enhancements much more.
* Featured in the form of DownloadableContent in ''VideoGame/NitroplusBlasterzHeroinesInfiniteDuel'' by giving players the opportunity to have Super Sonico, [[VideoGame/SenranKagura Homura]], and [[VideoGame/ArcanaHeart Heart]] fight in bikinis.
* ''VideoGame/OsuTatakaeOuendan'': The cheer girls in the first game, while decently attractive, wore relatively modest cheerleading outfits that mainly had bare midriffs and some exposed cleavage. The sequel made sure they showed more skin, as the sleeves were removed, the skirts became shorter, and their bust sizes increased and they got more provocative poses and dances to show them off.
* In ''VideoGame/Pandemonium1996'' the main character Nikki is a cute though mostly scruffy looking woman with short hair, average bust, and ModestyShorts. In the sequel she now has longer hair wrapped in a ponytail, a much larger bust, and a curvier rear combined with tight pants.
* Joanna Dark from ''VideoGame/PerfectDark'' was already highly attractive in her [[http://perfectdark.retropixel.net/pd/renders/jodark_pd_08.jpg original appearance]]. The second game though saw fit to [[http://perfectdark.retropixel.net/pdzero/renders/jodark_pdz_07_sm.jpg update]] her and make her curvier, especially in the chest area. And the second game was a ''prequel'', which makes one wonder if Joanna got a reduction or is [[HiddenBuxom secretly still packing heat.]]
* ''Franchise/{{Persona}}'':
** Mitsuru Kirijo from ''VideoGame/Persona3'' goes from a conservatively dressed student council president in her initial appearance, to a skin tight bodysuits that shows off her figure in ''VideoGame/Persona4Arena'', whilst her costume in ''VideoGame/Persona3DancingInMoonlight'' features a NavelDeepNeckline that shows off her sports bra.
** The Lovers Arcana girls, Yukari Takeba, Rise Kujikawa, and Ann Takamaki from ''VideoGame/Persona3'', ''VideoGame/Persona4'', and ''VideoGame/Persona5'', respectively, are all subject to this trope. The three are considered conventionally attractive and feminine, and canonically attract male attention. It is further highlighted in the dancing spin-offs, where their outfits all consist of crop tops and short skirts. The three also start off with fairly modest breast sizes but share the tendency for their breasts to grow substantially larger after the events of their respective games, to the point where they clearly possess the largest breasts among the women of their casts in chronological appearances after their debut games.
*** Yukari starts off as the resident MsFanservice wearing a very short skirt in her school uniform, and wears a spandex {{Toku}} costume that shows off her increased cleavage in ''VideoGame/Persona4ArenaUltimax'' - which even gets lampshaded in dialogue in ''VideoGame/Persona3DancingInMoonlight''.
*** Rise, being an idol, is subject to this. Her chest grows significantly after Persona 4, and her outfit in Golden's epilogue highlights and shows off her increased cleavage. Her outfit in ''VideoGame/Persona4DancingAllNight'' shows off her breasts as well, being a loosely zipped top that exposes her bra. In ''VideoGame/Persona5'', she's noted on TV to have gained a lot of sex appeal ever since she hit 20, and her brief poster appearance, while having her in a fairly modest dress, still makes her large breasts evident.
*** Ann in Persona 5 is subject to a large amount of this. Her Mementos outfit is a tight catsuit, and one of her dialogues in Menentos has her complaining about her costume being tight in the chest and wondering if her chest got bigger again, exciting Morgana. In ''VideoGame/Persona5Strikers'', her breasts are notably larger, and it leads to Futaba commenting on them, wondering if they are "CG".
* ''Franchise/{{Pokemon}}'':
** Sabrina has gotten one over the course of the series. In the original ''Red and Blue'', she has a somewhat ambiguous, yet conservative [[https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:Spr_Y_Sabrina.png outfit]] (to say nothing of [[https://cdn2.bulbagarden.net/upload/8/8f/Sabrina_anime.png the anime]]). Artwork for ''Yellow'' gives her [[https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:Red_Blue_Sabrina.png a more form-fitting costume]], which is recycled for ''[[https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:Spr_GS_Sabrina.png Gold and Silver]]'' and ''[[https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:FireRed_LeafGreen_Sabrina.png [=FireRed=] and [=LeafGreen=]]]''. Come ''[=HeartGold=] and [=SoulSilver=]'', she wears a midriff-baring [[https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:HeartGold_SoulSilver_Sabrina.png ensemble]], which she would retain in ''Black 2 and White 2''. However, in ''Let's Go, Pikachu!'' and ''Let's Go, Eevee!'', [[https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:VSSabrina_PE.png her design and her costume]] returns to the more modest, albeit still form-fitting ''Yellow'' look.
** Similarly, Lorelei zig-zagged this trope, as she was originally depicted as something of [[https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:Spr_RG_Lorelei.png a frumpy woman]], with a short dress, long hair in a bun, opaque glasses, and an extremely cold personality (fitting, given hers is the Ice Type). Her design radically [[https://thicc.mywaifulist.moe/waifus/9482/0f3d177b884a84daf265b051cc9e8f5374acb1312c1211b4de726fc520545d37_thumb.jpeg changed]] in the anime (where she was renamed "Prima"), placing a ''lot'' of emphasis on her bust and her legs. When Generation 3 came out, [[https://www.pngkey.com/png/detail/358-3585273_indigo-elite-four-i-lorelei-pokemon.png her new design]] married the two designs together to tone down the anime's emphasis on her bust, but keeping her leggy, but also giving her a form-fitting black jacket that exposed her shoulders, bright red hair, and much more of a HotLibrarian look. Finally, 15 years later in ''Let's Go!'', [[https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DraX_ciU4AAZnyY?format=jpg&name=4096x4096 her design]] grew more conservative once again, returning to the original black dress and adding pantyhose to her legs, but still keeping her bright red hair and her more curvy body type and giving her something of an older and more mature effect. ''VideoGame/PokemonMasters'', however, [[https://www.serebii.net/pokemonmasters/syncpairs/lorelei.png kept the Generation 3 design.]]
** Elesa's outfit in ''VideoGame/PokemonBlackAndWhite'' was fanservice-y, with her leggings and rather form-fitting outfit that accentuated her slim figure, but still covered most of her body. In the sequels ''VideoGame/PokemonBlack2AndWhite2'', she has her midriff and most of her legs exposed.
** [[VideoGame/PokemonRedAndBlue Red and Blue]] were already considered rather attractive at [[VideoGame/PokemonGoldAndSilver age 14]] by fans, but some years down the in-universe timeline they appear again in ''VideoGame/PokemonSunAndMoon'' as young adults... and let's just say puberty was very kind to them. Red now has sharper features and has clearly gained a few pounds in muscle, and Blue has gotten even more {{Bishounen}} and sports a more relaxed look.
* Inverted with Kaileena in ''VideoGame/PrinceOfPersiaTheTwoThrones'', who has smaller breasts than in the [[VideoGame/PrinceOfPersiaWarriorWithin previous game]].
* A notable variation in ''VideoGame/RuneFactoryFrontier'', occurring within the course of a single installment: romantic interest Eunice begins the game visibly overweight, but as part of her CharacterDevelopment, she can make a conscious decision to diet and slim down, to the point that she will [[GameplayAndStoryIntegration flat-out refuse sweets given to her as gifts]]. Doing so results in a physical appearance more in line with the series' typical character designs (slim and "cute"), and is the only way to see her in a swimsuit.
* Shaundi's bust gets noticeably larger in ''VideoGame/SaintsRowTheThird'' compared to her previous appearance in ''VideoGame/SaintsRow2''. She has also gotten taller, lost her dreadlocks and dresses in a more flattering outfit. She also becomes a mega-bitch obsessed with revenge, so that might turn quite a few people off.
* ''VideoGame/SoulSeries''
** Ivy keeps [[BuxomBeautyStandard getting bigger and bigger]]. The [[JigglePhysics magnitude and degrees of freedom]] ramp up with each release. The ''Soulcalibur'' gals in general tend to fall under this. [[BreastExpansion If their breasts don't get bigger]], [[{{Stripperiffic}} their default outfits get smaller.]] Ivy eventually hit her peak in ''IV'', though, because ''V'''s outfit is actually ''less'' revealing. Apparently the developers realized if they made her even more {{Stripperific}} they probably couldn't hold onto their T rating. By ''VideoGame/SoulcaliburVI'', she gets a new costume that can rival that of ''IV''.
** Sophitia Alexandra provides the page image, with her bust size growing in each entry in which she appears. Her change in breast size between ''Soulcalibur'' and ''Soulcalibur II'' can be justified with the fact that she became a mother: pregnancy can cause breast sizes to increase. ''VI'' seems to take it further, as her breasts are even ''larger'' than before, and this game is set ''before'' she became a mom!
** Tira as she appears in ''VI''. In all of her appearances beforehand, she had revealing costumes but her bust in-game was significantly more petite than her character art would suggest. Here, her breasts have been increased seemingly to match the art, rivaling the likes of Sophitia in the process.
** ''VideoGame/SoulcaliburVI'' in general is a noticeable example. While taking place at around the era of the original ''Soulcalibur'', and most of the ladies get recreations of their classic outfits, they're made to be skimpier designs while maintaining if not enhancing their proportions from later games. Most tellingly is Hilde, a German warrior-princess originally designed as covered head-to-toe in practical armour (as a deliberate response to years of criticism about the costumes the games' women were dressed in), who now wears a form-fitting breastplate that accentuates her womanly curves.
* ''VideoGame/StarcraftII'':
** Sarah Kerrigan received an almost complete makeover. While she was by no means unattractive in the first game, her overall look was [[http://images.wikia.com/starcraft/images/8/8a/SarahKerrigan_SC1_Cncpt1.jpg more utilitarian]], especially as a ghost.
** In the second game, her ghost look was changed to look more like Nova, another female Ghost in the series. [[http://images.wikia.com/starcraft/images/9/9e/SarahKerrigan_SC2_Art1.jpg Her catsuit]] become more form-fitting and white, and her facial features became softer and more youthful.
** After her infestation, [[http://images.wikia.com/starcraft/images/6/66/InfestedSarahKerrigan_SC1_Art2.jpg she had sickly green skin]], glowing eyes, a distinctive dreadlock hairstyle, black carapace-like armor, and claw-tipped bone "wings". [[http://images.wikia.com/starcraft/images/b/b6/InfestedKerrigan_SC2_Art4.jpg Her infested form]] in the second game made her into a GorgeousGorgon, with a more form-fitting carapace that made her look almost nude and gave her [[CombatStilettos high heel-like]] protrusions on her feet.
* ''Franchise/StreetFighter''
** While Chun-Li has always been a MsFanservice, at first it was more by virtue of being the TokenFemale among a cast of very fit martial artists and warriors than Chun-Li herself being overtly sexual. From ''VideoGame/StreetFighterIV'' onwards, she's been given a lot more revealing outfits while the improved graphics allowed for far more detail than the 16-Bit era including {{Panty Shot}}s, turning her into a much more sexualized AnimeChineseGirl.
** When Cammy debuted in ''[[VideoGame/StreetFighterII Super Street Fighter II]]'', she wore a green leotard that didn't QUITE fully cover her bottom. When the prequel ''[[VideoGame/StreetFighterAlpha Street Figther Alpha 2]]'' rolled around, her now-teal leotard was redesigned with a full-on ThongOfShielding. She would retain this look in all the [[VideoGame/CapcomVs crossover games]], and when the green version made its return in the "present day" in ''[[VideoGame/StreetFighterIV Street Fighter IV]]'', it too now had a thong back, which has remained ever since.
** Ibuki has a reverse example, as she has historically been very busty [[http://fav.me/datrrff despite]] her young age in comparison to other females such as Chun-Li and Cammy. In ''[[VideoGame/StreetFighterIV IV]]'' she was third only to Rose's 96CM and C. Viper's 98 CM with her own 95CM. However she has noticeably been toned down in ''[[VideoGame/StreetFighterV V]]'', being brought down to arguably in contention with other flats such as Menat and Sakura. Seeing her in Necalli's win screen [[http://fav.me/dabttjm shows]] just how much she [[http://fav.me/d99nlb5 shrank]]. That being said, some of her new costumes - particularly the school uniform and the sporty bikini - accentuate her legs in ways her previous look didn't.
* ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBros'':
** Zero Suit Samus' redesign in the fourth ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBros'' game changes her design from the one used in the ''VideoGame/MetroidPrime'' (that ''Brawl'' used) to the one used in ''VideoGame/MetroidOtherM'', as well as adding high heels that also double as rocket boots. Her physical features were altered so that she [[http://www.ssbwiki.com/images/5/59/Zero_Suit_Samus_SSB4.png sports a more athletic build, but her breasts seem to have become somewhat larger]] compared to her ''Brawl'' [[http://www.ssbwiki.com/images/1/10/Zero_Suit_Samus_SSBB.jpg design]]. Zigzagged with ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBrosUltimate'', where her breasts are noticeably smaller but [[AmazonianBeauty she's gained considerably more muscles]] as a trade-off.
** Zelda goes through this between ''Brawl'' and ''4'', the only two games featuring her that use the same incarnation (specifically, the Zelda from ''Twilight Princess''), having her sport a slightly larger bust in ''4''. This is inverted in ''Ultimate'', which uses the considerably younger Zelda from ''A Link Between Worlds'' instead.
** This is also inverted with [[VideoGame/MetalGearSolid Solid Snake]], whose butt is smaller in ''Ultimate'' compared to ''Brawl'', without any additional fanservice thrown in to compensate.
** Krystal was already MsFanservice in [[https://www.models-resource.com/resources/big_icons/20/19319.png her original appearance]]. In ''Ultimate'', she is [[https://www.models-resource.com/resources/big_icons/29/28687.png slimmer and more muscular]], her cleavage is more defined, and [[GoingCommando she's bottomless]].
* From ''VideoGame/{{Tekken}} 3'' to ''Tekken 6'', Julia Chang's default outfit mainly involves a top with a body-hugging vest, combined with a very short denim skirt that provided lots of Panty Shots since her very first appearance. Her skimpiest one is her ''VideoGame/Tekken4'' outfit (a tight corset-like top and hotpants) and of course, [[spoiler: as the luchadora Jaycee.]] Her 2P outfits, however, are usually more modest and often include a jacket and jeans.
* ZigZagged with Lara Croft in the ''Franchise/TombRaider'' franchise. Lara's breasts seemed to have gotten larger and larger by ''VideoGame/TombRaiderIII'' and ''VideoGame/TombRaiderTheLastRevelation''. Once the franchise gotten a reboot, Lara's breasts, while still fairly large, were given much more realistic proportions. When ''VideoGame/TombRaider2013'' was being developed, the developers not only made Lara's breasts smaller, but they kept redesigning her over and over until people would look at Lara's face first instead of her breasts.
* As the timeline in the ''VideoGame/TrailsSeries'' moves forward, returning characters can get this treatment, sometimes due to puberty:
** Renne is among the most notable examples, due to her being only 11 upon being introduced in the second game (''Sky SC''). By the end of the twelfth game (''Kuro II''), she's 18 and has become quite busty, which is shown off in [[https://www.falcom.co.jp/kuro2/assets/product/dlc/thumbs/z1queen_renne.webp both]] [[https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FgEYTlSVsAEasVX?format=jpg&name=medium of]] her {{DLC}} costumes.
** Both Elie and Rixia already had impressive busts in ''Zero'' and ''Azure'', but ''Cold Steel IV'' and ''Reverie'' made them even bigger, with ''Daybreak'' continuing to do so for Rixia.
** During the gap between ''Cold Steel II'' and ''Cold Steel III'', Fie's figure became more curvaceous, and she's wearing a more revealing outfit. ''Daybreak'' takes a step back with a less revealing outfit, but also gives her a slightly bigger chest.
* The love interest of the titular ''VideoGame/TyTheTasmanianTiger'' is Shazza the dingo, a canine with [[HartmanHips broad hips]] and midriff-baring clothing. Come the second game she now wears more conservative clothing with jeans rather than short shorts, but to make up for this her hips are now even broader. In Ty 3 Shazza’s hips grew even ''bigger'' and she got an increased bust for good measure. Finally in Ty 4, her large snout was shortened and her face was made overall cuter and more human-like.
* ''VideoGame/ValkyriaChronicles4:''
** In the DLC mission "Squad E, to the Beach!", defeating the enemy aces unlocks swimsuits as optional outfits for the main characters. Funnily enough, one of the character has her JigglePhysics ''removed'' in some scenes if she's wearing her swimsuit.
** The DLC mission "The Two Valkyrias" gives you several female villains as usable characters, and swimsuits as alternate outfits.
* In ''VideoGame/WarshipGirls'', Lexington's remodel exchanges her sailor blouse for a blazer without blouse that lets you see her bra.
* ''VideoGame/WorldOfWarcraft'':
** Sylvanas Windrunner's original model was not only incorrect to what she was (millions of players who either didn't [[AllThereInTheManual read the manual]] or play ''VideoGame/WarcraftIII'' were left thinking she were a Night Elf instead of a High Elf), but not particularly sexy. "We can't have this on our undead elf DarkActionGirl", said Creator/BlizzardEntertainment and changed her for the better. Her [[https://preview.redd.it/8vklo9c9boc91.png?auto=webp&s=1e9d6c3db924b0fc24c6ef09e3e27d9e7f7d00c0 successive overhauls]] have her look much closer to her ''Warcraft III'' [[http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20081005143430/wowwiki/images/e/e9/SylvanasWar3UD.JPG model.]]
** When ''VideoGame/WorldOfWarcraft'' launched, there were only a few dozen High Elves in the game, all [=NPCs=], all of them were fishes out of water in their stories, and Sylvanas was the only undead one. Considering all that, Blizzard probably decided it wasn't worth the trouble to make a unique character model for her at the time. Then the first expansion came, which included a few more High Elves and updated their appearances to match that of the Blood Elves, but Sylvanas was still the only undead one, which might be why she was left with the appearance of a Night Elf. In the second expansion, though, she got a very prominent role in the main story, so keeping her Night Elf model would have been really glaring. Prior to the first ExpansionPack, all High Elves used recolored (and ugly-as-hell) Night Elf models, and some of them ''still'' haven't been updated since 2007, most notably the ghosts of Goldenmist Village.
** When new character models were released in 2014, the higher quality modeling naturally made characters more attractive. As an AprilFools joke, Blizzard inverted and parodied this trope by releasing a fake blog post and new design art for female Draenei -- known as one of the more {{Fanservice}}-y models -- with bony high foreheads, bulging eyes, an overbite, and light patches of fur, supposedly playing up the connection to other demonic and corrupted versions of the race. This got a certain amount of backlash for reinforcing the concept that less attractive females are so unacceptable that it's inherently an absurd joke.
** Alexstrasza the Life-Binder, the Aspect of the Red Dragons. By ''Dragonflight'', 14 years of advancement in graphics [[note]]since her first ''[=WoW=]'' appearance in ''Wrath of the Lich King'', which, amusingly, got re-released as part of the ''Classic'' line two months prior to the new expansion in 2022[[/note]] did wonders for her humanoid form, with a prettier and less "generic Blood Elf" face and an added cleavage.
* In the ''VisualNovel/ZeroEscape'' series, Clover went from wearing an outfit that had a short skirt but was otherwise modest in ''VisualNovel/NineHoursNinePersonsNineDoors'' to wearing what can be best be described as "Sexy [[WesternAnimation/TheFlintstones Pebbles Flintstone]] Halloween Costume" in ''VisualNovel/VirtuesLastReward'', with a pink leopard-print FurBikini top, short shorts, [[ZettaiRyouiki thigh-high stockings]], and high heels. Her wardrobe change seems to be out of admiration for and a desire to emulate her friend and co-worker Alice, who dresses even more {{Stripperiffic}}ally.
* In the original ''VideoGame/UmiharaKawase'', the titular character was illustrated as a very ordinary looking young woman. The sequel gave her a larger bust, which only became more prominent over time. [[https://imgur.com/a/T78lwaV The banner for the trilogy bundle]] illustrates this well.
* ''VideoGame/RiskOfRain2'': The original ''VideoGame/RiskOfRain'' had all characters given low-def sprites even in the character selection screen, thus leaving genders ambiguous other than what the descriptions said. In the sequel, however, the leap to 3D has allowed more definition... and this trope kicks in with the Huntress, who gets a skintight suit and the bottom-heaviness to show it off.
* In ''VideoGame/AzurLane'', many alternate skins have already decently-busty characters gaining cup size increases.
%%** This also applies to some retrofits. Foxhound is a pretty notorious example.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Web Animation]]
* ''WebAnimation/{{RWBY}}''
** After the Volume 3 TimeSkip, Team RWBY are given older appearances. The youngest, Ruby, gets noticeably curvier and a "tavern maid" outfit to match, Weiss has a blue and white socialite outfit with a short skirt that shows off far longer, more shapely legs, and Blake gets a form-fitting, midriff-bearing, duster-coat ensemble. Yang on the other hand gets the ''reverse'' treatment, being a straight-up MsFanservice before but getting a new biker girl outfit that shows off less of her figure.
** The Volume 7 outfit changes make the characters look more adult. While none get more revealing, Weiss and Blake gain larger cup sizes, with outfits that emphasise their curves without revealing them (such as a coat-covered catsuit for Blake).
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Webcomics]]
* ''Webcomic/DICETheCubeThatChangesEverything'': [[spoiler:Taebin]], Dongtae, Che-Hyun, and Mio are among those who have altered their body shapes and their looks, and generally it can happen to any Dicer.
* Dave Davenport from ''{{Webcomic/Narbonic}}'' is a male example, starting off as very dumpy and unattractive before growing progressively more handsome as the comic progressed. For comparison, check out the left (earlier) and right (later) pictures in [[http://www.narbonic.com/cast.html Dave's official bio]]. This seems to be about equal parts ArtEvolution[[note]]encouraged in part by fan-art portraying Dave as a classic ActionHero, which amused the creator no end[[/note]] and CharacterDevelopment, as Dave starts taking better care of his appearance as he gains self-confidence and settles into his job as [[MadScientist Helen Narbon]]'s computer guy.
* Ellen "Elf" Foxworthy, from ''Webcomic/SchlockMercenary'', was made much more obviously feminine, as part of an infiltration of a "power makeover" reality TV show. The show only did her hair, make-up, and outfit (which she didn't keep) while the actual body-mods were her own idea beforehand (after being reduced to a head-in-jar they were going to clone her a new body and she requested a few modifications). She added a few cup sizes and at least 6 inches to her height. She's first spotted by the make-over show while out shopping for new clothes since none of her old stuff will fit her new body.
* Zoë from ''Webcomic/SluggyFreelance'' was originally, well, [[ArtEvolution more crudely drawn]], but what's pretty clear is that her originally skinny figure filled out over the first few years. It makes sense considering she was a young college student at the beginning [[WebcomicTime and time actually moves on for the characters, mostly]]. Meanwhile, her counterpart from the [[AnotherDimension Dimension of Lame]] started out looking the same when young but became even more busty and hourglass-shaped than the "original" by the time she was seen for a second time. This might be due to the theme of the Dimension of Lame being a kind of parodied and deconstructed faux paradise (as in, women there are hotter too).
* ''{{Webcomic/PvP}}'' has a couple of examples:
** Fairly early in the strip's run, Kurtz changed his art style, giving Jade the sleepy-eyed look and tight turtleneck that are now iconic. Lampshaded in one strip where Jase observes that she 'got hot' and she says, [[PaintingTheMedium "Yeah, I'm drawn differently now."]]
** After Francis and Marcy have sex, they "{{level up|AtIntimacy5}}" and become three years older. As part of her next experience level package, Marcy gains "Hips and boobs", though her newly enhanced physique gets toned down in subsequent installments.
* ''Webcomic/DanAndMabsFurryAdventures'', after [[http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_1118.php undergoing]] some ArtEvolution, provides this for some female fans. Daniel is now more muscular, as befits a semi-retired adventurer who is still keeping his training up.
* Haley from ''Webcomic/TheOrderOfTheStick'', when she decided that [[http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0675.html "some flaunting is in order"]].
* One of the characters in ''Webcomic/KhaosKomix'', Colin, got a reboot after a few pages. His original design resembled another character, Tom, a bit too much for comfort. The artist edited his previous images with his new design, though it looks somewhat awkward.
* Inverted with Angelika and Julie in ''Webcomic/OurLittleAdventure''. By the time the group reaches Autumnson, Angelika already switched to a more conservative and DarkerAndEdgier costume switch that no longer has her baring her midriff and showing off her naked legs. Julie follows the same route after they enter the city. This is possibly [[JustifiedTrope justified]] due to Summer being over in the story, and it's not as warm out.
* Marigold in ''Webcomic/QuestionableContent''. She starts as a stereotypical skinny, flat-chested unattractive gamer-nerd in her first few appearances. She quickly lost that look, becoming almost the complete opposite, being kind of chubby (with obvious pudge), a decent sized rack, and being over all moderately attractive to most fans (and in-universe characters).
* ''Webcomic/ZebraGirl'': Sandra, after she came back from the Subfusc, got noticeably sexier. The artist is aware of this, and is wary of objectifying her. While he said he will try to keep it from getting out of hand, these changes are here to stay.
* Justified in ''Webcomic/EnnuiGo'' when it's revealed that water reservoir used in the creation of Izzy's beer brand had been tainted with an experimental bust enhancement cream, resulting in most of the female cast (along with a significant portion of the United States) slowly getting larger breasts.
* Kimiko Ross in ''Webcomic/DresdenCodak'' began as an [[https://dresdencodak.com/2007/02/23/billions-and-billions/ attractive, rather skinny girl]] who then got [[AnArmAndALeg severely mutilated]], losing the lower halves of both legs, one arm, one eye and part of her spine. She then turned herself into a cyborg with obviously artificial legs, arm and a socket on her back, and some time later she transplanted her own brain into a [[https://dresdencodak.com/2015/06/15/dark-science-48-final-form/ much more human- and sexy-looking version of herself]], albeit still with a cyborg arm.
* ''Webcomic/{{Housepets}}'': In the comic's last arcs (Particularly around ''Heckraiser''), ArtEvolution gave certain female character noticable breasts and shapelier forms where they had looked closer to their male cohorts before. Some characters got exceptions (Such as Grape, who needed to continue to look male to justify an early arc where she was mistaken for a boy), but others like Kix and Spirit Dragon were were hit with sudden chest enlargements- Especially noticable for Dragon, since they doubled as a case of NonMammalMammaries.

* ''Website/{{Cracked}}'' joked about how often this happens to female characters. (Can be seen [[http://www.cracked.com/article_18741_the-evolution-fictional-characters-by-medium-5Bcomic5D.html here.]])

[[folder:Western Animation]]
* ''WesternAnimation/AvatarTheLastAirbender'':
** Zuko; in the first season, he has his hair in a military style that makes the [[FacialHorror huge burn scar covering half his face]] stand out starkly. As a result, his ExpositoryHairstyleChange after some CharacterDevelopment ''massively'' improves his looks. {{Fangirl}}s are pleased.
** Aang also gets more skin exposed as the series goes on. By the final season, he's shirtless.
** Katara also goes on to expose more and more skin as the series progresses. In the first season she wears a parka that covers everything up to her neck ([[JustifiedTrope justified]], she comes from a place with very cold climate). In the last season, she wears a Fire Nation dress that leaves her arms, shoulders and midriff bare.
* In ''WesternAnimation/BatmanTheAnimatedSeries'', D. A. Janet Van Dorn goes from [[http://worldsfinestonline.com/WF/batman/btas/bios/vandorne/01.jpg middle-aged]] in her first appearance to [[http://worldsfinestonline.com/WF/batman/btas/bios/vandorne/04.jpg hot enough]] to date Bruce Wayne by the next.
* Connie from ''WesternAnimation/{{Doug}}'' goes from a chubby, but sweet-natured girl in the Nickelodeon series, to much slimmer, more assertive, and wearing more flattering clothes in the Disney series. She explained that she went to camp over the summer where she lost weight. Doug didn't even recognize her when he saw her.
* Foxxy Love in ''WesternAnimation/DrawnTogether'' had permanently erect nipples in Seasons 2 and 3 (in Season 1 they were erect only in tense moments).
* ''WesternAnimation/ReBoot'':
** In the first two seasons, the animation studio was rather limited on how much of Dot Matrix was shown -- both due to technological limitations and ExecutiveMeddling on the part of the ABC network. Then season 3 rolled around... Heck the first episode of the new season had Dot dressed up as [[https://reboot.fandom.com/wiki/File:Tmad2053r.jpg Elvira just to show this off]].
** After their PlotRelevantAgeUp, [=AndrAIa=] and Enzo or, rather, Matrix become one stunning couple. [=AndrAIa=] gets skin-tight pans, high-heeled boots, a belly button ring, and a bikini top that shows A LOT of cleavage. On his end, Matrix is undoubtedly the most sexualized male character in the show. With his muscles, sleeveless leather vest, tight jeans, earring, tattoo, and scars, Matrix checks all the boxes of the 'Hot Bad Boy' archetype.
%%* Got a whole episode {{lampshade|Hanging}} and {{justifi|edTrope}}cation in ''WesternAnimation/TheRealGhostbusters'' for Janine's between-seasons model change.
* Marge from ''WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons'' is sometimes subject to this:
** The main plot of the episode "Large Marge" is all about her accidentally gaining huge boobs (they were meant for Mayor Quimby's female intern).
** In some Halloween specials she is more busty than in regular episodes.
* Parodied in ''WesternAnimation/TheVentureBrothers'', when Brock Samson's [[DrillSergeantNasty old mentor]] gets an EasySexChange (but keeps his Creator/HunterSThompson-esque face exactly the same). Played straight with Dr. Mrs. The Monarch's costume change.
* ''WesternAnimation/XMenEvolution'': After the incident with Asteroid M, Mystique ends up changing from her comic outfit into a leather crop top, miniskirt, and matching high-heeled boots.
