There is often an expectation that at least one of the children (usually the eldest son) will [[GenerationXerox carry on the legacy]], which may lead to FollowInMyFootsteps. This is very much TruthInTelevision, as many small businesses are family-owned and operated, and it isn't uncommon for even large companies to have the child or grandchild of the founder at least remain on the board of directors if they don't become the CEO.
