When a team, generally [[AmazonBrigade young women]], pose in a distinctive style in the midst of battle. It looks pretty good on camera and it conveys teamwork. The general appearance is usually dependent on a symmetrical three-person shape, the two on the outside have their body positions turned away from the center person. A [[SinisterSilhouettes silhouette]] is optional. But there is also a [[LovelyAngels two-person]] variation of them standing [[BackToBackBadasses back to back]]. Often done in a {{montage|s}}.

No actual firearms are (usually) involved though.

Originated by the famous poses of ''Series/CharliesAngels''.

It is often used as a {{Stock Parod|ies}}y. Compare the SuperSentaiStance and BackToBackBadasses.

Sayaka from ''Anime/MazingerZ'', Jun from ''Anime/GreatMazinger'' and Hikaru from ''Anime/UFORoboGrendizer'' make the pose ''[[http://www.mangahere.com/manga/mazinger_angel/c001/ on the very first page.]]''
* This was one of the {{eyecatch}}es of the anime series ''Manga/MiamiGuns''.
* Naturally, in ''Literature/DirtyPair'', the LovelyAngels do this too.
* ''Manga/{{Bleach}}''[='s=] tenth TitleSequence -- the one with the song "Shojo S" by Scandal -- has this featuring Rukia, Orihime, and Rangiku. Actually played perfectly straight, without a hint of parody or humor.
* [[https://web.archive.org/web/20090227063948/http://dvd.es/data/docs/20050825095934/Neon_Genesis_Evangelion_001.jpg This apparently official Gainax piece of art]], for ''Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion'' has their HumongousMecha strike the pose, [[RuleOfCool armed with building-sized guns and blades]].
* Moka, Kokoa, and Rubi do it in ''Manga/RosarioPlusVampire''.
* Three girls from ''Manga/HayateTheCombatButler'' do one when explaining to Hayate that they're the class officers.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Films -- Animation]]
* In ''WesternAnimation/ShrekTheThird'', Princess Fiona (with the voice of Creator/CameronDiaz) and some other princesses [[http://web.archive.org/web/20110208023558/http://popcornreel.com/htm/shrek3.htm adopt the pose.]]
* In ''Film/{{Hop}}'', the Pink Berets are a trio of female rabbit ninjas charged with retrieving the Easter Bunny's renegade son. They adopt [[http://ih0.redbubble.net/image.11585965.6987/flat,800x800,075,f.jpg this pose]] on a mansion's rooftop, which casts a very ''Series/CharliesAngels''-like shadow onto a couch. But instead of handguns, the Pink Berets have [=GPS=] trackers and blowgun tubes with InstantSedation darts.
* The opening title sequence of ''WesternAnimation/BeavisAndButtHeadDoAmerica'' parodies this and [[Film/{{Shaft}} every other]] [[Series/StarskyAndHutch 70's cop show]]. Beavis states in an interview that it's because the '70s are the last time Creator/MikeJudge got laid.
* In ''WesternAnimation/TurningRed'', three of Mei's aunts strike this kind of pose right after they transform into giant red pandas.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Films -- Live-Action]]
* ''Film/CharliesAngels2000'' [[https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2017/07/15/07/425BD40100000578-0-Independent_Women_The_dynamic_duo_starred_alongside_Lucy_Liu_in_-m-54_1500100107162.jpg obviously had one]], though without the guns.
* Parodied in ''Film/WrongfullyAccused'' when a trio of FBI agents enter a room. Only one was female.

* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WugjwywnTg Humorously parodied]] in ''Film/ScaryMovie2''.
* In ''Film/MammaMia'', silhouetted cutouts of Donna and her bandmates abruptly pop up in a ''Charlie's Angels'' pose against the sparkling, nighttime ocean backdrop right before delivering an encore performance of Music/{{ABBA}}'s "Dancing Queen" during the end credits.
* In ''Film/MidwayToHeaven'', Kate, Liz, and Ned assume this pose in the home video.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Live-Action TV]]
* On ''Series/WhoseLineIsItAnyway'', this happens during any game of Film, TV, and Theater Styles where ''Charlie's Angels'' is one of the styles. Done unintentionally when Creator/RobinWilliams was on as a guest.
* It was done in at least one episode of ''Series/That70sShow'' which of course actually had Creator/TanyaRoberts who was one of the Angels on it.
* The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKZAIxLalNM&NR=1 title sequence]] for ''Series/FunkySquad'', an AffectionateParody of 70's cop shows.
* In the ''Music/FlightOfTheConchords'' second-season episode "Prime Minister", the Prime Minister of New Zealand wants a photo like this with a Barack Obama impersonator (who he thought was actually Obama).
* The late '70s ''Series/HardyBoysNancyDrewMysteries'' TV show's third season opening featured a silhouette of Frank & Joe Hardy in action.
* MAT in the opening credits to ''Series/ReturnOfUltraman'', which predates ''Charlie's Angels''.
* ''Series/TheBigBangTheory'': In "The Bakersfield Expedition", the guys are dressed up as characters from ''Series/StarTrekTheNextGeneration'' and organize a photo shoot. One of the photo is in [[http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LxTbV3KplCw/UQOZnbnWqCI/AAAAAAAAABk/hjWnvZ4MlqQ/s1600/tumblr_mgfuv3r3KP1qcd7cjo1_500.gif this stock pose]], which was invoked by Raj's calling ''Charlie's Angels''.
** And [[https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91qgNtKzXsL._AC_SL1500_.jpg this]] is the DVD cover for season 5.
* The presenters of ''Series/TopGearUK'' in the TitleSequence for ''The Intercepters'', a non-existent Seventies action show.
* The three female stars of ''Series/AgentsOfSHIELD'' strike the pose (while saying "Yes, Charlie!") during the show's [[https://youtu.be/s0sHDTeBUFw Season 1 gag reel]].
* When Creator/CarrieFisher appeared on panel game show ''Series/{{QI}}'' with British comedians Bill Bailey and Jimmy Carr, they were told to stand in the corner, and they did it [[http://imgbox.com/K7d9R8tv like this.]]
* Crime comedy ''Danger Theatre'' had a regular segment called ''Tropical Punch'' (a parody of ''Series/HawaiiFiveO'' starring Creator/AdamWest) with an opening sequence that ended like [[https://pixhost.to/show/649/41256328_tropical-punch-angel-pose.jpg this.]]

In the episode "Legends of To-Meow-Meow", they get a whole ''Angels'' pastiche title sequence in the AlternateTimeline where the male Legends all died and they became the Sirens of Spacetime.
* ''Series/TheLastDetective'': [[https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71sd1bbl19L._AC_SL1443_.jpg This]] is the cover of the DVD box set.
* On ''Series/LastWeekTonightWithJohnOliver'' in April 2024, there was an item about an old man who has posed for thousands of stock photographs, and John invited him onto the show. The episode ended with them both posing for photos shown in the end credits, including [[https://imgbox.com/Or5Npe44 this]] and [[https://imgbox.com/K8otm8KB this.]]
* An episode of ''Series/SaturdayNightLive'' in May 2019 had a sketch called "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fz0mDWSb1nU Judge Court]]" featuring Creator/EmmaThompson, Creator/AidyBryant and Creator/KateMcKinnon as three judges who [[http://imgbox.com/krqIWNVf adopt the pose with their gavels.]]
** In April 2024, an SNL sketch about a fictional French 1970's music show called "La Maison Du Bang" had a dance routine with Bowen Yang, Chloe Fineman and some backing dancers [[https://imgbox.com/1gXrfVuR ended like this.]]
* ''Series/{{Riverdale}}'' had a season 4 musical episode with songs from ''Hedwig and the Angry Inch''. [[https://pixhost.to/show/11/238751553_riverdale-hedwig-angel-pose.jpg This]] is how the cast posed to illustrate a line about Creator/FarrahFawcett.
* ''{{Series/Chuck}}'': Sarah and her ex-workmates in the CIA's Clandestine Attack Team could not be more like Charlie's Angels if they tried. And they did try, at least in their [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JiLAl37SNXs imaginary opening titles.]]
* A Season 3 episode of ''Series/HellsKitchen'' has the women's team pose like this as part of a photoshoot.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Music]]
* Music/DestinysChild did this a lot when performing their smash hit "Independent Woman (Part I)". Makes sense, considering that it was the theme song for the ''Film/CharliesAngels2000'' film reboot, and they even strike the pose in the music video.
* Guelph, Ontario based indie folk rock band Corduroy Leda did this on one of their [[https://www.discogs.com/release/3350767-Corduroy-High-Havoc album covers]].
* K-Pop girl band Laboum's video for ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSYoDqkbzzg Shooting Love]]'' is made of this trope.

* {{Music/Haim}} appeared to briefly adopt the pose in silhouette in the video for "If I Could Change Your Mind", but really [[https://pixhost.to/show/197/352175354_haim-if-i-could-change-your-mind.jpg they are just clapping]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Tabletop Games]]
* ''TabletopGame/{{Spelljammer}}'' boxed set [[http://index.rpg.net/display-entry.phtml?mainid=2803 cover]]. With a [[{{Cthulhumanoid}} mindflayer]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Video Games]]
* ''Franchise/FinalFantasy'':
** Yuna, Rikku, and Paine from ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyX2'' like to do this a lot.
** In ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXIII'', the entire party will strike a pose any time they do a [[JobSystem Paradigm Shift]], [[DeconstructedTrope even if it means opening themselves to attack]].
* The default art for ''VideoGame/GranblueFantasy'''s [[NinjaMaid battle-hardened maids]], Dorothy and Claudia, features them in a two-woman version of this pose. It changes to a shot of them alongside their master when upgraded enough.
* The standard pose for Commander Shepard's squad when bursting through a door in ''VideoGame/MassEffect2''. Though it is entirely possible that the squad can consist of young men, or can be of mixed genders, or can include a [[ReallySevenHundredYearsOld nine-hundred year old woman who looks like a young woman]].
* Used by Max the Robot Dog, Dr. Hawkins, and Kurt Hectic in the video game ''VideoGame/MDK2'', specifically on the cover of the manual. ''[=MDK2=]'' also has a version that must be seen to be believed. You can find it on [[http://www.replacementdocs.com/download.php?view.646 page 5 of the manual]]
* Male example in ''VideoGame/MegaManX8''. The Weapon Get screen shows X, Zero and Axl posing this way after each one demonstrates the weapon they obtained from the Maverick boss (their positions vary depending on who you're playing as).
* ''VideoGame/NoOneLivesForever'' has a trio of girls who we could name as "Angels of Charlie of Evil".
* A mildly disturbing version in ''Franchise/RatchetAndClank'', with a trio of Blarg commandos.
* Dante, Trish, and Lady do this in the secret ending of ''VideoGame/DevilMayCry4''.
* Even ''VideoGame/PokemonMysteryDungeon'' [[https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:MDSky_EP4.png has to get in on the fun.]]
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6lg6ymZsrE Kitana's arcade ladder ending]] in ''VideoGame/MortalKombat9''. Silhouettes and all.
* ''VideoGame/EtrianOdysseyIVLegendsOfTheTitan'': The cover of the game has the Medic, Landsknecht, and Fortress (all female) in the forefront striking such a pose.
* In ''VideoGame/WarriorsOrochi 3'', all members of your battle party will strike an AssKickingPose together after completing a [[CombinationAttack Triple Musou Attack]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Web Comics]]
* Used in [[http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0239.html strip #239]] of ''Webcomic/TheOrderOfTheStick''. Note that only Haley (right, with the bow) is the only one of the three who is really a woman -- Roy (center) was [[GenderBender temporarily female]] at the time due to a Girdle of Femininity/Masculinity, and Vaarsuvius's gender is [[AmbiguousGender unclear at best]].
* "Charlie's Archons" in ''Webcomic/{{Erfworld}}'' strike variations on the Angels Pose when they [[http://www.giantitp.com/comics/erf0046.html first appear]] and when they [[http://www.giantitp.com/comics/erf0075.html first show their combat abilities.]]
* ''M.Organ Art'' ({{N|otSafeForWork}}SFW) did it with the D.U.S.T. Bunnies.
* ''Webcomic/RustyAndCo'' [[http://rustyandco.com/comic/level-4-3/ does it]] with its trio of MonsterAdventurers.
* ''Website/PlatypusComix'' had [[http://platypuscomix.net/top169.jpg a temporary banner]] with [[Webcomic/{{Mulberry}} Mulberry Sharona]], [[Webcomic/ElectricWonderland Shroomy]], and Webcomic/PrincessPi striking this pose.
* ''Webcomic/MagickChicks'' has Melissa and her coven [[https://pixietrixcomix.com/magick-chicks/glam-entrance starting their first day in the new school]] with the ''[[CallingYourAttacks Glam Entrance!]]'' And the next time they expected to be seen by the boys, a downright "weaponized" variant [[https://pixietrixcomix.com/magick-chicks/hipster-terrorists immediately occurs.]]
* ''Webcomic/VampireCheerleaders'' did it all five in the strip named [[http://www.vampirecheerleaders.net/strips-vc/the_gang_is_all_here "The Gang is All Here."]]
* Kirk, Spock, and [=McCoy=] do one in ''Webcomic/PlanetOfHats''' recap of the ''WesternAnimation/StarTrekTheAnimatedSeries'' episode "[[http://www.mezzacotta.net/planetofhats/episodes/0092.html Once Upon a Planet]]".
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Web Original]]
* Most any picture on the Internet featuring multiple (non-model) girls with guns. Though, these usually feature all the chicks in the picture brandishing some sort of firearm.
* Or, for that matter, just about any picture of two or three women under the age of thirty on any social network; guns are generally faked with their hands.
* The logo of the British parenting website Mumsnet parodies this pose with three women holding babies.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Western Animation]]
* ''WesternAnimation/AmericanDad'': In the "Cops and Roger" episode, Roger has an ImagineSpot of what it would be like to be a police officer, ending with this. Of course, he blows up the kitchen to recreate the fiery background.
--> '''Roger:''' Had to blow up the kitchen, Frannie. It goes real well with this thing I'm imagining.
* ''WesternAnimation/AvatarTheLastAirbender'': Parodied in the episode "Ember Island Players". In the fandom, Azula, Mai and Ty Lee garnered the FanNickname Ozai's Angels, due to being somewhat similar to their namesake. In this SelfParody episode, their actor versions strike this pose after having successfully conquered the Earth Kingdom.
* ''WesternAnimation/BatmanTheBraveAndTheBold''. In "The Mask of Matches Malone!", Catwoman, Black Canary and Huntress are sneaking into the Iceberg Lounge. Unfortunately in the darkness they wander onto the stage and are revealed to half the criminal community of Gotham when the curtain draws back and they're pinned under a DramaticSpotlight in an AngelsPose. Catwoman then has them pose as the entertainment with a ComicBook/BirdsOfPrey BraggingThemeTune.
* ''WesternAnimation/CodenameKidsNextDoor'': The title logo is a clear parody of the ''Charlie's Angels'' one. Its intro animation actually shows them jumping into the logo one by one. This logo was then parodied in the book ''Fat Camp Commandos''.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Daria}}'': One episode that pays homage to detective shows from the '70s has Quinn, Sandi, and Stacy posing as the Angels.
* ''WesternAnimation/DextersLaboratory'' gave us [[https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/dexterslab/images/5/57/G.I.R.L.Squadtitlecard.png/revision/latest?cb=20140129003513 G.I.R.L. Squad]], with an opening montage ending in one of these.
* ''WesternAnimation/LEGOStarWarsDroidTales'' has [[https://www.turboimagehost.com/p/35996097/lego-star-wars-battledroid-angel-pose.jpg.html this]] billboard on the battledroid factory planet.
* ''WesternAnimation/MickeyMouseClubhouse'': The show does this for a brief moment in a spy-themed episode with Minnie, Daisy, and uh... Mickey.
* In the ''WesternAnimation/PhineasAndFerb'' episode "Phineas and Ferb-Busters!", Candace does this with her friends Jenny and Stacy after putting them through a TrainingMontage.
* The 90's chapters of ''WesternAnimation/SecretSquirrel'' used it on the opening credits of one episode.
* ''WesternAnimation/SpaceGhostCoastToCoast'' used the pose in their episode parodying detective series of the 1970s. Animator C. Martin Croker said he drew Zorak's silhouette to look as though he was explaining directions to someone rather than preparing a karate chop.
* ''WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse'': [[http://troffie.tumblr.com/post/100113834633/boom-its-secret-team-the-very-first-episode Promotional art]] for the episode [[Recap/StevenUniverseS1E29SecretTeam "Secret Team"]] has Amethyst, Steven, and Pearl doing this pose.
* ''WesternAnimation/TotallySpies'': Done at one point in the original opening theme.
* ''WesternAnimation/WinxClub'': Due to having to complete the Sirenix Quest on top of their normal duties, the eponymous six-woman [[TheTeam team]] starts splitting in half in nearly every episode of the fifth season. This leads to at least one of the three-woman cells needing to transform into their fairy forms, for which they pose like this. They can be all standing or have two of them crouched, but they are always making some sort of gesture with their arms. In general, the trios' poses tend to be more symmetrical than the team's SuperSentaiStance.
* ''WesternAnimation/XMenEvolution'': In the "Bayville Sirens" episode, though it's hard to catch as it only appears on a television screen for a few moments.
