Brennan is incredulous they would try one of the oldest tricks but their firm stance makes him chance a look. Being paranoid about the deal with the chip going south, he and his guard turn and fire at Victor, who fires back before fleeing. This sells Michael and Fiona's help to Brennan and allows them to depart without being killed.
