''[[Heartwarming/BillyAndMandysBigBoogeyAdventure Billy & Mandy’s Big Boogey Adventure]] as its own page''.

Even a [[BlackComedy darkly comedic]] SadistShow with ''Death'' as a main character can have these moments.
----
!!The Show
* In "Meet the Reaper", even though Mandy was the one who initially pointed out that Mr. Snuggles was clearly running on his last legs, she’s the one who refuses to let Grim take him. She wasn’t doing this for Mr. Snuggles, since he wasn’t her pet. She was doing it for ''Billy'', who didn’t fully understand what was going on.
* In a weird sense, Grim going to cut out Mandy's heart when she asks in "Crushed" is kinda heartwarming.
* "Fiend Is Like Friend Without The “R”" has Nergal kidnapping Billy and Mandy, thus setting Grim free. Grim is naturally happy about this and abandons the duo, but eventually comes across a bunch of pictures and drawings with him and Billy. This helps Grim realize that he cares about him and Mandy, and sets back to free them from Nergal's grasp.
* Billy telling Grim he's his best friend in "A Grim Surprise", complete with a ''Literature/HowTheGrinchStoleChristmas'' ShoutOut.
* Mandy tricking Eris into kissing Grim in "To Eris Human" is this mixed with [[SugarWiki/AwesomeMoments awesome]]. Sure, she mostly did it to get back at Eris for pranking her, but she did it in a way that [[ThrowTheDogABone also made Grim happy]] after Eris had cruelly rejected him when he asked her out. One could argue that this was probably one of the nicest things Mandy ever did for Grim.
** Also Grim's reaction to said kiss is {{Adorkable}}.
--->'''Grim:''' I've never washed this cheekbone, [[KissedKeepsake now I never will]].
* The end of Jeff's first episode. "Some bugs are just too good to be squished."
* In "The Halls of Time" when Billy turns his dads hourglass upside down when he's about to choke to death on a corndog.
* In "Billy's Growth Spurt", Mandy spends most of the episode trying to find a cure for Billy's stomach sickness and was willing to wade through an Underworld swamp to find it. She even says "are you alright?" when Billy's body reacts negatively to the medicine she gives him. And considering she [[AngerBornOfWorry tells off Billy at the beginning of the episode for eating so much junk food]] and comments: "you know what that does to you." She acts a lot more like a concerned friend than her normal unpleasant self.
** There’s a similar instance of this in “Recipe for Disaster”. When Grim makes his Great Aunt Kali’s cookie recipe, Billy is eager to try one, but Mandy briefly stops him saying that it might be poisoned. When Billy seems to actually keel over after eating the cookie, Mandy looks genuinely concerned for him.
* In “Tickle Me Mandy”, when Mandy and her parents are out of town for the weekend, Billy misses her, so Grim makes a "New Mandy" out of Billy’s toys so he won’t be lonely.
* Grim and Malaria’s FallingInLoveMontage in "Grim in Love" is just adorable, as it’s probably the happiest we see Grim in the entire series… which makes the episode’s [[DownerEnding ending]] an even bigger TearJerker.
* One moment in the "Billy and Mandy Moon the Moon" special, when Billy gets pummeled by Sperg, Mandy comes out of nowhere and whacks Sperg away from Billy with a giant fish on a pole.
* A small one at the end of "Tricycle of Terror". Sir Raven notes Billy got a new unicycle, and then dismisses everyone ''else'' as "boring the snot out of [him]". Seems Sir Raven has a soft spot for Billy.
* The second half of 'Nursery Crimes' is pretty much Mandy searching across the entire fairy tale world to find Billy before he gets into trouble. Especially from how tired and antsy Mandy was at the start of the episode, the fact she immediately goes off to search for her best friend is really sweet.
** Also this cute/awesome exchange:
--->(''Billy is about to be boiled and eaten alive by Pinocchio'')\
'''Grim''': (''offscreen'') See, Billy? I warned you to stick with the story!\
'''Mandy''': Yeah, Billy. Have you learnt your lesson?\
'''Billy''': Yeahyeahyeahyeah! [[SpoofAesop Always follow the rules or else Pinochicheya will eat me alive]]!\
'''Mandy''': ... Good enough. (''proceeds to drag Pinocchio to another room and turns him up into a wooden chair'')\
'''Pinocchio''': Hey, uh, w-where are we going?\
'''Mandy''': Shut up! (''to Billy'') Let's go home, Billy.
* A lot of moments toward the end of "Underfist" surprisingly enough:
** Fred Fredburger showing just how much he cared about the team.
** Dracula helping Irwin accept his monster heritage.
** Jeff and Fred's duet together.
** Hoss accepting Irwin and even finally getting his name right.
** Mindy's HeelFaceTurn.
** Skarr ending up betraying Bun-Bun, whom he was pretending to betray Underfist for -- he spent most of the special hating the idea of the Underfist team, so his betrayal of them seemed so convincing.
* How about the ending to "Aren't You Chupacabra to See Me?"
-->'''Billy''': (''tearing up'') I-I love you, Daisy!
-->'''Daisy the Chupacabra:''' (''fading'') I love you too, Billy (''vanishes'')
-->'''Billy''': [[BigNo NOOOOO!]]
* Billy finally accepting Jeff as his son in ''Wrath of the Spider Queen.''
** Later [[SubvertedTrope subverted]] in TheStinger because of his own stupidity.
*** Though he seems to have gotten over this by Underfist, where he doesn't seem to mind Jeff at all.
** The Plain Milk carton encouraging Billy to release his anger, face his fears towards spiders and to be nice to his friends, and he later encourages Grim and Velma to solve their problems with compassion.
** TheReveal during the flashback, [[OnceMoreWithClarity when it shows what Grim actually did when Velma thought he cheated to win the Reaper election]]; in a way, Grim did cheat, but it wasn't for himself like Velma thought. [[WhamShot Every single ballot Grim put in had]] ''[[WhamShot her]]'' [[WhamShot name on it]]. The whole time, he was trying to be a good friend and do the right thing by her, only for it to blow up in his face because of a stupid misunderstanding. [[HeelRealization The realization moves her to tears, and she immediately apologizes to Grim for everything she's done.]] Doubles as a bit of a TearJerker.
--->'''Grim:''' I had to do something. I thought that ''you'' deserved to win the most.
** Mandy and Mindy working together, with Mindy even admitting at the end that it, "wasn't the worst time I've ever had".
* A small scene in "Heartburn" where both Billy and Mandy are looking at the photos they took using a magic camera that reveals someone's true self. When Mandy sees her photo showing her as a demonic monster, she responds in a rather disappointed tone: "no surprises there." As she says this, Billy gives her a reassuring smile.
** Later in the episode, Mandy's true heart starts to change after finding out that Irwin's heart used to be filled with evil when he was a toddler. When Irwin realizes what's happening to her, he doesn't seem to mind this fact at all, as the two of them proceed to kiss without any resistance on Mandy's part. However, after Mandy returns back to normal and punches him in the face, Irwin reveals that he knew this would happen if they kissed, but yet he did it anyway because [[BeYourself he likes her just the way she is, meanness and all.]] Mandy surprisingly says the words, "Thank you," to him before [[MoodWhiplash she proceeds to punch him again for the kiss.]]
* The end of "Loser from the Earth's Core," when Nergal returns home after abandoning his family for over a year
* Ms. Butterbean is legitimately touched when Billy gives her a gift as appreciation for being his teacher, even though said gift is a rancid apple she eats without bothering to wash or really look at, and eating it literally almost kills her.
* [[AlphaBitch Mindy's]] insulting Mandy in the episode "My Fair Mandy", where Mandy's entered a beauty contest against her. Grim, appalled by Mindy's behavior that actually seems to be hurting ''[[EnfantTerrible Mandy]]'' of all people, asks Mandy if she wants Mindy turned into a stinkbug or something. For all that Mandy's put him through, he's still willing to defend her against insults.
** Not to mention when the parallel universe is created, Billy and Grim share a surprisingly touching moment as they hug and admit how much they care for each other. Bonus points for it being Grim of all people saying this to Billy.
--->'''Grim:''' Reality is falling apart!\
'''Billy:''' What's gonna happen to us!?\
'''Grim:''' I don't know, (''hugs Billy'') but I'm gonna hold you tight and never let go!\
'''Billy:''' [[PlatonicDeclarationOfLove I love you Grim!]]
* In "Scythe 2.0", Grim saving Billy and Mandy from the titular scythe. Doubles as a SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome (with a little bit of HypocriticalHeartwarming thrown in).
--> '''Grim:''' You keep away from those kids! [[HypocriticalHeartwarming If anyone is going to have their heads, it's going to be]] ''[[HypocriticalHeartwarming me!]]''
* In "Scythe for Sale", Irwin unknowingly buys Grim's scythe at a yard sale Billy's holding. And, [[SarcasmMode big surprise]], Grim wants to get it back. However, when Irwin goes DrunkWithPower and uses the scythe to [[{{Brainwashed}} brainwash]] Mandy into becoming his girlfriend, Grim almost immediately seems to become more determined about ''saving Mandy'' over getting his scythe back. As aforementioned, even after everything Mandy's put him through, it's incredibly sweet to see him actually ''worried'' about her.
* In "Irwin Gets a Clue" Hoss Delgado genuinely bonding with Irwin and trying to help him become cool to win Mandy. And while he's certainly not successful, Mandy gives him a mild PetTheDog moment after rescuing him from the monster at the end.
-->'''Mandy:''' Irwin? There's something I've been meaning to tell you. You're a nerd. And no shaggy head or utensil on the hand is ever going to change that. It's just a fact of life. Get used to it. [[BeYourself Embrace it. Make it your own.]]
* In the episode "Son of Nergal", Billy refuses to be Nergal Jr.'s best friend because Mandy is already his best friend, which is kind of sweet in it's own right; but when Nergal Jr. attacks Billy, [[BigDamnHeroes Mandy]] immediately comes to the rescue and saves him.
** And when Nergal Jr. breaks down from loneliness afterwards, Billy, despite everything before, sweetly tells him he'll be his friend. Naturally things go horribly wrong, but still, it was an adorably soft moment while it lasted.
** Also, Mandy's shown in various episodes protecting Billy from bullies and other various dangers.
* Grim bonding with the nuns in "Sister Grim." Also, at the end of the episode, while the nuns are obviously furious with Grim for lying to them, he apologizes for it and assures them that he really did have a lot fun and enjoyed spending time with them. At this they forgive Grim, and they launch him and the kids back home to Endsville.
* Near the end of "Spider-Mandy", Billy downs half a cup of Jeff's venom, thinking it's lemonade. When he finally comes to, Grim tells him, "Most kids who drink half a cup of spider venom don't live to tell about it. But then most kids aren't friends with the Grim Reaper." Grim could have easily let Billy die from poisoning, but he spared him anyway. Shows how much Grim cares for the little idiot.
** In the same episode, Billy seems shocked when Mandy is going to kill Jeff, and he quickly saves him. Despite constantly trying to kill Jeff, he saved his life.
* Pretty much any time that Grim shows the tiniest inkling that he actually does care about Billy and Mandy. Most of the time it's HypocriticalHeartwarming, but it's still pretty sweet.
* Despite it ending badly, the timeskip epilogue of "The Love That Dare Not Speak Its Name" features Grim as the best man at Billy's wedding.
* In "Billy and Mandy Save Christmas," Billy offers to help Mrs. Claus while Grim and Mandy hunt for the Head Vampire. Mrs. Claus is beyond overjoyed that someone has willingly offered to help her after centuries of doing all the non-toy related work by herself, and it's amazing that Billy is totally competent in completing the chores at the workshop. Mrs. Claus earnestly thanks him for his help and says he'll "Always have a special place in my heart, and in [[WhamLine the new world order]]." Even after Mrs. Claus is exposed as the Head Head Vampire, [[BecauseYouWereNiceToMe she never attacks or goes after Billy]].
** Billy is later able to restore Santa Claus to normal, and makes a heartfelt plea for Mrs. Claus to stop her evil rampage ''and'' he makes Santa apologize for taking advantage of her. To cap it off, when Mrs. Claus says she really can't handle all the work by herself, she ends up gaining an ally in Baron Von Ghoulish, who starts cleaning up the workshop for her. Probably one of the only times a bad guy in this show manages to get a legitimately happy ending.
* Billy's efforts to cheer up Grim in "The Incredible Shrinking Mandy", especially when he uses Grim's scythe to bring back Malaria from "Grim in Love", who appears to have gotten over her terror at Grim being the Grim Reaper.
* In a weird sort of way, Grim's childlike glee upon hearing The Skeleton Dance in "Hill Billy", and how seriously he takes doing the dance itself.
-->'''Grim:''' (''as the record player plays the song'') What's this? (''ecstatic'') Why it's the Skeleton Dance! I haven't done this in like 300 years! (''some other skeletons join him; Grim suddenly looks [[SeriousBusiness very serious]]'') Alright, boys! If we do this, we do it ''my'' way!
* [[DeathsHourglass Grim adding more sand to Jeff’s hourglass]] at the end of "Jeffy’s Web". Sure, he did it mostly for his own amusement at Billy’s expense, but even Mandy points out that it was awfully nice of him to do that.
* In "Bearded Billy", when Billy gets covered with hair and looks like a sasquatch, Mandy has an opportunity to sell him for millions. But when she's dragging him in a sack, Billy unintentionally makes her feel guilty by rambling about what a great friend he thinks she is, and she let's him go. She then spends the rest of the episode following Hoss Delgado around trying to stop him from selling Billy. When she gets the reward money from turning in Hoss himself doused with supernatural hair tonic, Billy (who's been cured of his excess body hair) sees it and thinks it's another sack to ride in. When he eagerly asks to ride in it, Mandy [[PetTheDog just humors him and lets him jump in.]]

!!The Video Game
* Some of the characters’ banter can come across as this.
** If Junior defeats Nergal, he says “Sorry, Dad.” And if the vice versa happens, Nergal apologizes to Junior, then encourages him to train harder.
** If Nergal defeats Eris, we get this line

Top
