[[folder:General/Unsorted]]
* As twisted and CrossesTheLineTwice levels of TooKinkyToTorture Morticia and Gomez could be, you couldn't help but smile at scenes between them. All those years, and they're still passionately head over heels for each other.
* The Addamses' devotion to Lurch, as evidenced in the episodes "Mother Lurch Visits", "Lurch and His Harpsichord", "Lurch Learns to Dance", and "Lurch's Little Helper".
* The fact that in the comic, Gomez is the only one of the two parents ever seen showing Wednesday any affection makes their interactions in the films strangely poignant.
* Quite a lot of episodes of their various shows have the family unconditionally accepting and helping anyone who happens to show up at their door, even if it's in their own, unconventional way.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:1991 Movie]]
* Any point when Gomez is expresses his undying (undead?) love and Morticia. Even the pure lust, despite crossing into [[Funny/TheAddamsFamily funny]].
-->'''Gomez:''' I would die for her. I would ''kill'' for her. Either way, what bliss.
* Just seeing how happy Gomez is to finally see his brother again after so many years.
** In hindsight: Not just simply Gomez thinking that his brother has returned as Gordon really ''is'' Fester.
** Gordon, if he in any way suspected he was Fester early on, clearly has a genuine reaction of both shocked and moved toward Gomez when he realizes he's seeing/meeting his own brother as well.
** Gomez happily showing Fester their home movies. While "Gordon" is still amnesiac at this point, he clearly starts bonding with Gomez over all the trouble they got up to during childhood.
*** Gomez apologizing to Fester for driving him away years ago, leading to his disappearance. Despite still operating under the identity of Gordon, Fester says "it's all in the past".
* Thing [[TheGlomp hugging]] Fester, welcoming him back.
** Also PlayedForLaughs, as Gordon/Fester is terrified to see a disembodied hand grabbing his leg.
* Fester bonding with his niece and nephew, teaching them about dynamite and diseases and helping them with their play.
** 'Gordon' finding himself struggling with his mother's plot as his bond with the family deepens; even if he weren't really Fester, he's at home among the Addams. The finale just seals it, as he saves Gomez and Morticia and dispatches his "mother" and Tully following one last bout of abuse from Abigail.
*** The best part is that, if you pay attention, many of Fester's actions and attitudes during the movie imply [[AmnesiacResonance he's already subconsciously remembering his past self,]] [[SomethingOnlyTheyWouldSay such as instantly knowing which book he and Gomez use to access their secret haven/vault ("GREED").]]
*** In the event Gordon is aware that he is the ''real'' Fester after all, his looking around and trying to remember his past life is this as he then genuinely wants to be able to integrate back into it, whether or not he fears incurring Abigail's wrath by doing so.
** After the kids' play scene, the rest of the family jumps to their feet for a standing ovation.
* When the family is searching for Wednesday after the Mamushka dance, Gomez finds her asleep in the crypt. Being careful not to wake her, Gomez gently picks her up and carries her back to the house.
** Also earlier, as the family is riding back home from the charity auction, Wednesday is shown having fallen asleep on Gomez's lap.
* Speaking of the charity auction, it's understated to the rest of the plot, but the whole course of events is the perfect proof that for all their [[NightmareFetishist "spooky and kooky" lifestyle]], [[CreepyGood the Addamses]] [[DarkIsNotEvil are good people.]]
** The fact they're donating family relics to be sold in a charity auction in the first place, meant for widows and orphans (as well as mental and physical handicaps, we later learn). While Morticia declares that [[BlackComedy "we need more of those",]] she makes it clear that the Addams are willing to help them financially.
*** Which, in turn, proves that Tully's scheme to scam them was AllForNothing. His wife had asked him to request or even beg them for help with their financial troubles, which Tully rejected out of pride. It soon becomes clear that Gomez would have helped AFriendInNeed if he had been sincere.
** The relic itself is an ancient and rare Chinese finger trap. Margaret, for all she finds the Addams disturbing at first, is marveled and even a little hesitant for them to donate such an extravagant piece.
** During the actual auction, Gomez and Morticia end up acquiring the Chinese finger trap back due to their public tryst. It's easy to overlook it from all the funny public and spicy CasualKink spicy going on, but Gomez and Morticia just bid ''50,000 dollars'' on an auction [[RefugeInAudacity for a piece they already owned and donated in the first place.]] Also noteworthy is that the bidding started at the low price of one thousand dollars. Gomez is the one who bid higher ($25,000). Yes, it was likely to get Morticia excited, but still. He got to please his wife ''and'' help people in need.
* "[Fester] was a good man!" "''Is'' a good man!"
* A little heartwarming, a little tear-jerking, and a little funny when Morticia takes Fester for a stroll around the family cemetery...
--> '''Morticia:''' Mother and Father Addams. How I wish the children could have known them better. But tell ''that'' to [[TorchesAndPitchforks an angry mob]]...
** More so when you realize that she's threatening him; if you're not who you say you are, here's where you'll end up. That's how much she loves this family, she'll murder for them. She'll even enjoy it.
** Morticia giving Fester that tour about all the terrible things that became of their family--though treating them as badges of honor--gives weight to the Addamses not just having a very long history of loving each other despite any wrongs they commit against others or each other, but that she hopes that Fester--imposter or not--can understand and appreciate this the same as everyone else in the family does.
* Margaret going from being creeped out by the Addamses to becoming one of them, all thanks to Cousin Itt.
** Moreover, it's implied that Margaret fell in love with Itt because unlike her first husband, who was a cheapskate that barely paid her any attention or showed her any affection, [[SingleWomanSeeksGoodMan Itt was a gentleman who treated her right and listened to her]].
* Wednesday provides a good few moments:
** While Fester is tucking her into bed after her play and telling her how wonderful she and Pugsley were, he regales her with stories from the Bermuda Triangle and promises to take her there one day. After he gives her a forehead kiss good night, she takes out a headless doll for him to kiss as well, and then the head of the aforementioned doll for him to kiss. Only then does she settle down to sleep.
** Despite her suspicions of Gordon and that her knowledge of the Bermuda Triangle is not represented in the things he says about it, Wednesday still enjoys the pleasure of his company and learning from him. Even if he's not her uncle, the connection is definitely genuine.
** Crossed with FridgeBrilliance: both Wednesday's full knowledge of and interest in the Bermuda Triangle likely confirmed to the Addamses that Gordon really was Fester with amnesia the whole time once he got all his memories back.
* Rather BlackComedy, but Pugsley causing a car accident by swiping a Stop sign is met with Gomez in all sincerity shouting, "[[SoProudOfYou Bravo, Pugsley!]]"
* At the end of the movie, on Halloween, Pugsley comes downstairs dressed as his Uncle Fester, who is absolutely delighted. Lurch even paints a portrait of the two of them together, with Pugsley begging Fester to do his lightbulb trick for the picture, which Fester is all to happy to indulge.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:''Addams Family Values'']]
* When Pugsley and Wednesday are nervous about being replaced by the new baby, Gomez and Morticia immediately figure out the reason and reassure the children that they do not love the baby more.
** It adheres to how strong the bond between Wednesday and Pugsley as siblings is already when they not only team up against Pubert, but Wednesday, after ripping the head off her baby doll, then gives it to Pugsley without a second thought.
** The fact that they do start targeting Pubert could also in a roundabout way--given it's the Addams Family of course--be how Wednesday and Pugsley initiate and accept him.
* Gomez bursts in after the birth of the child and, when the family all ask for news, he declares that ''"it's an Addams!"'' in a completely pleased voice; gender is irrelevant in the Addams family - as long as the child is healthy and Addamsy, as the baby is, Gomez will adore it.
** Could also be taken another way: later in the film, Pubert gets sick due to Fester's absence and becomes the opposite of an Addams, developing bright blonde curls and rosy cheeks with dimples. Do they turn on him? No, they still love and care for Pubert, even redecorating his room and reading him Dr. Seuss's stories with happy endings.
* Near the end, Fester returns to his family and gives Gomez a hug. Wednesday and Pugsley show up as well.
** To elaborate, when Wednesday and Pugsley return and see Fester has come back, Pugsley immediately runs to his uncle and hugs him. And while at first, it seems like Wednesday's going to hold a grudge against Fester for his betrayal, he only has to apologize before she too rushes to hug him.
* When Fester asks Gomez to help him woo Debbie, Gomez doesn't hesitate to agree. And at dinner, when Fester is so nervous he can't even speak and ends up handing Debbie his half-eaten bun, Morticia lies about that being a quaint French custom. It's just so heartwarming to see how Fester has truly been accepted by the family, and how they will do anything to help him find happiness.
** There's a moment in the Brazilian dub, when Fester confesses he's been happy for but also envious of Gomez and Morticia and wanted someone for himself. Instead of saying "There's Thing" like in English Dub, Gomez replies matter-of-factly that there's no shame in it. As in, [[Film/StreetFighter OF COURSE!]] [[CaptainObvious Fester would be envious;]] Gomez knows [[OneTrueLove what he has,]] [[HappilyMarried and any man would be insane]] [[BabiesEverAfter if they didn't to want the same.]]
* Debbie is buried in the Addams Family cemetery. Sure, she tried to kill them, but she's still accepted as an Addams.
** Heck, that's [[BlueAndOrangeMorality probably why they accepted her as an Addams]]! If anyone could understand Debbie's murderous tendencies, it'd be the Addamses. They even express regret they didn't get to know her better. Truth be told, she probably would have fit right into the family if she hadn't had an agenda--indeed, when she shows them the slideshow of why she murdered her parents and numerous husbands, they're all completely understanding of her actions. Morticia even had tears in her eyes as she agreed with Debbie's "Don't I deserve love...and jewelry?" question.
** Despite everything, Fester was willing to give them another chance to be a married couple. But sadly, Debbie [[GoldDigger never really loved Fester]] (and is repulsed by him), and is [[ItsAllAboutMe too greedy and selfish]] to let the Addamses go (let alone live).
*** One could also interpret that Debbie's obsession with living a [[Literature/TheStepfordWives shallow Stepford Wife lifestyle]] is what's stopping her from realizing [[DramaticIrony she could have achieved the happiness she craved.]] She had a NighInvulnerable [[HappilyMarried loving husband]] [[NightmareFetishist who actually ''enjoyed'']] her BlackWidow murder attempts (much like Gomez with Morticia), [[Fiction500 all the money she could ever want]] and [[BestFriendsInLaw a family that would be both willing and happy to accept her (a homicidal maniac) as a sister-in-law]]. Much like Tully in the first movie, her EvilPlan and BitchInSheepsClothing act was AllForNothing. Worst, she caused distress and rift in the Addams Family by forcing Fester to engage in that same hollow lifestyle, when one of the Addams Family's greatest values is BeYourself.
** And despite his relationship with Debbie going so badly, the film [[EarnYourHappyEnding ends with Fester]] meeting and being immediately taken with Margaret's new nanny Dementia and it's clear that Dementia feels likewise. The final scene with all the family has them sharing drinks happily and implying that Fester may have found his own true love after all.
* Wednesday's furious reaction when RichBitch Amanda makes derogatory and elitist comments about Fester's plan to marry Debbie because she's the nanny. While it's the overall insult to her family that angers her most of all, it's still clear that her dislike of Debbie is because she correctly suspects that she's no good, not because of her lower social status.
* [[PuppyLove A lot of the scenes between Wednesday and Joel.]]
** The moment they first see each other is heartwarming in its own way. When they first lock eyes, Joel is completely awestruck, and even though Wednesday retains her usual cold expression, it visibly softens for a moment.
** Their first full conversation has Joel explain about how he's basically allergic to everything, capping off with, "And, if my mom uses the fabric softener, I ''die''!" followed by Wednesday scooting closer to him after hearing that.
** When Wednesday finally escapes the camp, Joel calls her "Cara mia" [[note]] Italian for "My darling"[[/note]] and Wednesday responds with "Mon cher"[[note]] French for "My dear"[[/note]] and they kiss through the fence.
** Followed by a moment of funny as they both simultaneously wipe their mouths to get the cooties off.
* It isn't touched on as much as Joel and Wednesday, but Joel also [[BestFriendsInLaw becoming friends with Pugsley counts.]]
* A subtle one, but when Gomez and Morticia confront Debbie over Fester supposedly disowning them. While in the first movie, the family was in constant doubt over Fester's true feelings and ties, here they know him by heart well enough to instantly tell when he is being sincere or manipulated.
-->'''Fester:''' ''(reluctantly)'' Go away!\
'''Gomez:''' ''(to Debbie)'' That is ''not'' my brother!
* Morticia and Gomez's dance. Sure, it has funny moments, but you can see the adoration underneath it all!
* Wednesday attempting to scare Joel to death at the end of the film. [[NightmareFetishist Aww, she really]] ''[[NightmareFetishist does]]'' [[NightmareFetishist love him]].
** A moment before that, Joel kneels before Debbie's grave. He expresses [[SympathyForTheDevil pity for her]], thinking [[AlasPoorVillain she was sick]] and hopes she's [[PeacefulInDeath finally found peace]].
* When Debbie calls Pubert a brat, the first thing Wednesday says to her is that her baby brother isn't a brat. She may have been jealous of him before (and had murderous intentions), but [[BigSisterInstinct she does care about him]].
* Despite their being disturbed by Pubert becoming a conventional square in Fester's absence, Gomez and Morticia show just how different they are from the franchise's villains as they still try to care for him as best they can, even if they don't understand what seems to be his new lifestyle.
** An example of this is when Morticia is reading Pubert ''Literature/TheCatInTheHat''. She clearly hates it but still asks Pubert if he's enjoying the story and finishes the book because she wants him to be happy.
* Compared to how terrified she was of the family in the previous movie, Margaret is shown to be happily a part of the Addams family clan. She even wears black to the wedding.
** Plus, when she's introduced to Debbie and shows off her's and her husband Cousin Itt's [[BabiesEverAfter baby]], named [[FlatWhat What]], her response to Debbie's bewilderment is a solid 24-carat Addams-ism. If that doesn't prove she's part of the family, nothing could.
-->'''Debbie''': Isn't he precious...
-->'''Margaret''': We've had offers.
* Gomez's toast during Pubert's first birthday party at the end. Particularly his romantic back-and-forth with Morticia.
-->'''Gomez''': To passion.
-->'''Morticia''': To paradise.
-->'''Gomez''': To pain.
-->'''Morticia''': Tonight.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Musical]]
* "When You're an Addams" features these lines, which speak for themselves on how tightly knit the Addams family is:
-->"It's family first and family last\
And family by-and-by!"
** "Who cares about the world outside and what it wants from you? When you're an Addams, [[BeYourself you do what Addams always do!]]"
** Unsurprisingly, the song includes a lyric reminding us of the universal constant that is Gomez and Morticia's deep, passionate love for each other, in a very simple and sweet way.
--->'''Gomez and Morticia:''' When you're an Addams!\
'''Morticia:''' [[HappilyMarried You need to really love your wife!]]\
'''Gomez:''' [[ParentalBonus Several times a day!]]
* Gomez is interviewing Lucas Beineke, the future Addams, who mentions how he wants to become a medical examiner to be allowed to look inside people without them being able to object. And at that moment, Gomez gives Lucas a big bear hug, immediately accepting him as a future son-in-law.
* In the second act, Gomez sings to Wednesday about his conflicting emotions over her growing up and being engaged ("Happy/Sad").
* In the tour version of TheMusical, Gomez cuts a tassel off the curtain while fretting over whether to betray Morticia or Wednesday. Cousin It ends up marrying that tassel.
* Gomez introduces Morticia as "My wife, the mother of my children, El amor de mi vida, Morticia". ''El amor de mi vida'' means ''The love of my life.'' If '''''that''''' doesn't show how much they're in love, nothing will... that, plus the "one day, seven nights" trip to Paris, which implies a week of ''nothing but sex!''
* Lucas accepts Wednesday for her abnormalities, loving her just the way she is.
** Likewise, once Gomez accepts Lucas and Wednesday's relationship and has patched things up with Morticia, he concludes that the Addams are not "losing a daughter" but "gaining three Beinekes", proclaiming that all three of the Beinekes can now consider themselves part of the Addams family.
