* Rodney follows Bigweld's ideal and gathers everyone in need of repairs to fix them. It was a long line, but he still helps all that needed it. It also sweet that his friends, whom he's only known for a day at most, don't hesitate to help as well. Everyone in the community are grateful and even chant his name in appreciation.
** These are the same robots who would end up joining Rodney and his friends in the final battle, out of respect and appreciation of the one who willingly helped them in their time of need.
* Bigweld's sudden appearance at the train station to join the outmodes' battle against Ratchet. He echoes Rodney when he tells Rodney why he came:
-->'''Bigweld''': [[MeaningfulEcho I want to grow up to be just like you!]]
** What makes it more heartwarming is when Rodney smiles, [[RebuiltPedestal this means that his faith in Bigweld has been restored.]]
* Rodney’s conversation with Fender during his first night at Aunt Fanny’s.
-->'''Fender:''' Kind of a rough day, huh?\
'''Rodney:''' Kinda. My dad’s probably sitting by the phone waiting for his [[SarcasmMode brilliant son to call and tell him what a big success my first day was]]. (''sighs'') I know, it’s not your problem. If you burden your friends, soon you won’t have any.\
'''Fender:''' What are you, a fortune cookie? That’s what friends… (''sounding genuinely touched'') You consider me a friend?\
'''Rodney:''' Sure. What else would I consider you?\
'''Fender:''' [[SugarWiki/FunnyMoments I don’t know. An embarrassment, a way to rebel against your parents, a desperate cry for help, the list is endless.]]\
'''Rodney:''' Let’s just stick with friend.
** Rodney joining in the arm farting with Fender, establishing their friendship.
** Really, there friendship in general. They started out as acquaintances at best with Fender taking the time to help Rodney get to Bigwell's industry, to actually stealing his foot as well. Most would simply forget him, but Rodney was all forgiving, even willing to help Fender repair his neck joint. Fender, in turn, devotes immense loyalty to Rodney, and presumably the same for Rodney, if he considered Fender a friend even after all that.
* Practically every interaction between Herb and Rodney. The former's such a [[GoodParents loving and passionate dad]] that he doesn't ever doubt his son's capabilities or dreams. He even lets Rodney go to Robot City, telling him not to give up on his dream. It goes without saying that Rodney, even as a kid, held his father in the highest regards, to the point where he didn't believe Bigweld was the greatest robot in the world, it was his father.
** He also cheered Rodney up over the phone call after learning what happening when meeting Bigweld by giving him AnAesop:
-->'''Herb:''' Listen, I know it isn't easy, Rodney. But the dream you don't fight for can haunt you for the rest of your life.
-->'''Rodney:''' Yeah, dad.
-->'''Herb:''' It's up to you, son.
* Herb gets to finally fulfill his dream by playing his trumpet at the end of the film. The only trouble is that he sounds awful. But while the rest of the audience are wincing at the sound, Fender says that he likes it and that it's a mixture of jazz and funk. That's when everyone else starts joining in.
* Aunt Fanny takes in robots off the street and doesn't expect anything in return. She's a kind and motherly figure who doesn't hesitate to welcome Rodney into her home.
* Ratchet might be an evil scumbag, but you can't deny that his relationship with his mother is at least a little sweet. When he visits her at the Chop Shop, she insists on making him something to eat before he leaves, and praises his actions as often as she can.
** As Ratchet is leaving the shop, he takes a moment to say goodbye to his dad, who's suspended up in the shop's rafters. He might be embarrassed by his father, but clearly Ratchet still cares about him.
-->'''Mr. Gasket:''' So long, son! Good luck with your dastardly plans!
** Mr. Gasket even tried to cheer his son up after Madame Gasket's death.
-->'''Mr. Gasket:''' It's alright, son. You can shine no matter...
-->'''Ratchet:''' Oh... Just stop!
* When Fender and the gang see Rodney and Bigwell running away from Ratchet, they give chase as well, but not before Fender takes the time to tell his sister Piper to stay behind and forces her to as well, knowing it will be dangerous. For all the annoyance they give each other, they do love each other.
* When Rodney learns that his dad is sick back home in Rivet Town, Aunt Fanny and the rest of the gang console him and gently asks Rodney if he wants to go home to see his family.
* When Rodney meets Bigweld and Cappy tells the latter Rodney has an invention, Bigweld suddenly becomes very excited. It shows that even after how far [[TookALevelInCynic Ratchet broke his ideals]], he still has a shard of his former self.
-->'''Cappy:''' In fact, he’s an inventor. Show him that thing you made!\
'''Bigweld:''' Ooh, a device? A doohickey? A thing-a-ma-jig?
* After defeating Ratchet, Rodney is hailed by everyone and his friends come closer to make a GroupHug. First one to hug him is Piper, then is Cappy, then is Fender and finally Lug.
* At Rivet Town, Bigweld announces to every present that Rodney isn't just going to work at Bigweld Industries. He's going to be Bigweld's personal apprentice and future successor, his life's dream and ''then some''.
