* Indiana and Marion exchanging glances at Sallah's house. You can tell they still feel something for each other despite the past.
** As they stroll through the marketplace later, Marion and Indy have a calmer, more mature conversation about their past affair and Indy's falling out with Abner.
* Sallah's children coming between Indy and Belloq, just as Belloq's goons are about to shoot Indy. Calling him "Uncle Indy" the entire time. The goons are so amused by it, they allow Indy to walk out unharmed, laughing all the while.
-->'''Belloq:''' Next time Indiana Jones, it'll take more than children to save you.
* Indy and Marion's brief reunion after Indy and the viewers assumed she died in the truck explosion. Even with his face mostly covered, Harrison Ford magnificently sells Indy's shock and joy upon discovering her alive.
* Near the end, when Marion gives Sallah a farewell kiss on the cheek in gratitude for all his help, just before she and Indy board the ship for home. Sallah's response is even more heartwarming as he obviously wasn't expecting this. Slowly he breaks into a big, radiant smile and starts singing "A British Tar," much to the amusement of several workers nearby, one of whom Sallah gives a random, manly kiss as he continues to sing...
** It was actually three. One on each cheek for his children, his wife, and Sallah got himself a nice lovely kiss on the lips as a personal thank you from Marion. His singing is very much showing how happy he got from that.
* Indy and Marion on the ship, Marion playing doctor.
-->'''Indy''': Ow! That hurt!
-->'''Marion''': Well goddamnit, Indy, where ''doesn't'' it hurt?
-->'''Indy''': (points to his elbow) Here. (Marion kisses it. He then points to his cheek.) Here. (She kisses it, then he points to his forehead.) This isn't so bad. (She flips his hat off and kisses his forehead. He points to his lip...)
* Katanga, and by extension the crew of the ''Bantu Wind,'' have a reputation as pirates, but in the six or seven minutes of screen time they have, they show they are more likely rough-looking guys who are [[NiceGuy decent men at their core.]] Katanga gives Indy and Marion his personal cabin for the trip, his teasing of Indy is clearly a friendly jest, and he gives Marion a glamorous nightgown just to make the journey more pleasant for her; a throwaway line from Marion suggests the crew have a good sense of chivalry. When the U-boat shows up, Katanga realizes that Indy, Marion, and their cargo (which he knows nothing about) are far more dangerous that he realized. He could have played it safe and turned them over, but instead he tries to find a hiding place for Indy and Marion, and when that fails, he ''lies'' to Dietrich to protect them. Note that Dietrich would likely have torpedoed the ship if he caught on, but not one of the crew rats them out. After the Germans depart with Marion, Katanga tries to find Indy to see if he's safe... and when they see Indy stowing away on the U-boat, everyone in the crew starts cheering and saluting him. Sallah was right to put his trust in them.
* Indy threatening to destroy the ark he has been pursuing to rescue Marion. Belloq calls his bluff, but still.
* A small detail after the climax; Indy and Marion were bound to a pole with rope before the Ark was opened, but after Belloq, Toht, Dietrich and the Nazis were killed and their remains were consumed by God's wrath, the rope has burned away, freeing them. For respecting Him by looking away, God literally freed them.
* The ending, with a sharp-dressed Indy and Marion in D.C.
-->'''Indy''': (referring to the government types that have just ignored everything he's said) Fools. Bureaucratic fools. They don't know what they've got there.
-->'''Marion''': Well I know what I've got here. C'mon, I'll buy you a drink. ''[She pushes up the brim of Indy's hat.]'' You know... a drink?
