!!The Film
* Any time Bond and the ferociously awesome Tracy are on screen together, clearly showing that they really are in love. Except the ending. Oh Christ, that ending.
* As Bond and Tracy are dating, Bond is seen stroking a cat that Tracy found. It's a small thing, but this is the guy who is often described as an unfeeling EmptyShell by viewers. If that is indeed the case, it seems that being around Tracy is bringing Bond's own feelings back as well as vice versa.
* Bond is alone and hunted down in the village beneath Piz Gloria, it sounds hopeless with Blofeld's men closing in... then an ice skater stops right in front of him... it's Tracy! With a beautiful smile on her face. Salvation has rarely looked so adorable.
* But THE standout scene has to be the proposal scene. It's hard to picture James Bond proposing to anyone, but somehow Lazenby overcomes his woodenness and shows a vulnerability that Connery never had. The scene remains one of the high points of the Bond series, albeit in an extremely unexpected place.
-->Bond: I love you. I know I'll never find another woman like you. Will you marry me?
** It's the first time that Bond says that he loves anyone with complete sincerity, and it wouldn't happen again until the Film/2006 reboot.
* When Tracy discovers that Bond is only showing interest in her for the information that her dad promises to provide, she is hurt and storms off. However, Bond realises that he likes her for real and catches up with her before she can drive off to apologise.
-->Bond: (Wiping away her tears) Tracy, I was always taught that mistakes should be remedied, especially between friends...or lovers.
--> (They embrace)
* A small but humanising moment for Bond is when he is found by a St. Bernard dog after the climactic bobsled chase, where he finds himself amused at it pawing him in the face and jokingly requests brandy from it.
* Bond inviting M, Q, and Moneypenny to his wedding is sweet, and even making the former two his groomsmen.
* Bond and Q have spent six movies snarking at each other and grating on each others' nerves. In one of the only moments of affection between the two in the entire film canon, Q puts an arm around Bond's shoulder, calls him "James" for the first and last time, and lets Bond know that he'll always be there if he ever needs anything.
* The hat tossing scene towards the very end.
* Tracy's death is this in an incredibly twisted way. For the first time in her adult life she's not suicidally depressed, and cheerfully planning the family that she and Bond are going to have together. She may have been pointlessly murdered by a bullet meant for her husband, but at least she died happy and, judging from where the bullet hit, instantly.
* When Moneypenny intervenes and prevents a ticked-off 007 from resigning. The fact that both Bond and M thank her for her action makes it even better.
