* Freddy may not be the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree, but "Here on the Street Where You Live" is a very sweet, heartwarming song.
** Especially since he opens with lyrics alluding to how much he liked what she had to say when they met, meaning he values her uniqueness more than any other character up to this point.
* When Eliza feels rejected and slighted by Henry who takes all the credit for her introduction to high society, Henry's mother, who had previously viewed Eliza with some doubtful disdain, is there for that former flower girl to talk to, and the GrandeDame supports her all the way.
--> "You not only danced with a prince last night, you behaved like a princess."
* Eliza and Henry's reconciliation at the very end: we only see a few seconds but we know two things. One, [[NothingIsTheSameAnymore Henry knows he can't take things for granted anymore]]. Two, while much has changed, the humor will remain very much the same.
--> '''Henry''': (''realizes she's walked in'') Eliza? (''indulges in a mischievous smile'') Where the devil are my slippers?
--> '''Eliza''': (''gives an indulgent smile'')
** The revival plays it a little differently, but still heartwarmingly. When Henry sees Eliza, he says the line as one last little joke between him and her. She walks up to him, touches his face...and then turns and runs off the stage and through the auditorium, Henry beaming pridefully as she goes. Even though the fundamental concept of the ending changes, Henry's feelings for her are almost amplified: he knows she's outgrown him, but is extremely excited at what she'll do next.
* While they argue quite a bit, it becomes clear that Eliza and Higgins do come to view each other as friends.
