Yes, believe it or not, ''[[SadistShow Happy]]'' ''[[SubvertedKidsShow Tree]]'' ''[[{{Gorn}} Friends]]'', out of all shows, has heartwarming moments.

'''Moment subpages are Administrivia/SpoilersOff. Administrivia/YouHaveBeenWarned.'''
----
* In ''WebAnimation/HappyTreeFriends'', all episodes featuring a romance end poorly for the couple. This is most notable with the OfficialCouple, Cuddles and Giggles, who have the most deaths in the series, and have not survived a single date... until ''I Nub You'', where they were used as a BetaCouple for Petunia and Handy. The latter pair died horribly, but Cuddles and Giggles survived.
** Petunia and Handy are pretty cute themselves in the episode, and even manage to "hold hands" by (somehow) tying the ends of their bandages together into a ribbon, as pictured above.
* Any time Pop and Cub both live in the same episode.
** And any episode in which Pop tries valiantly to rescue or save his son from harm.
** Even one of their deaths can be considered a more twisted version of this. In ''Easy For You To Sleigh'', they die probably the most (and only) peaceful and painless death in the show: falling asleep and dying from carbon monoxide poisoning while Pop is reading Cub a bedtime story. True, they're still dead, but considering the show's track record of going for the goriest deaths in a given situation, it's downright merciful.
** Even "Rink Hijinks" can be considered as one. In it, Cub is seen playing a claw machine and Lumpy gets stuck inside it. Cub unintentionally grabs Lumpy's organ with the claw and then after looking at it for a few seconds, he adorably hugs it. While he did unintentionally kill Lumpy, it's still one of the first episodes where Cub doesn't die and [[ThrowTheDogABone even has a happy ending for him.]]
** "A Handy Nanny". This is the first real Pop and Cub-centric episode where both of them survive. All Cub suffers is a slight bruise from falling off a table and Pop is completely unharmed. The real moment is at the end, combined with a little bit of {{Squick}}, when Cub is napping in his crib after Pop comes home from his bowling tournament. After Handy is shredded up by the knocked-over fan, the camera irises in on Cub fussing and starting to wake up. You think the bowling trophy is gonna cause his death somehow, but instead Pop just gives Cub his pacifier and he suckles on it peacefully. The squick comes in with Handy's eye being stuck to said pacifier, but still, it's the first time Pop and Cub have had a whole episode to themselves and came out alive.
** While "Don't Yank My Chain" is a TearJerker, due to how everybody involved in the main plot died in this episode, both Pop and Cub appeared in [[TheCameo a cameo]], alive and well, aside from Handy's gore Cub was covered in, but hey, at least they didn't die!
** ''Clause For Concern'' has Cub crawl into a sack in the laundry room of their home as Pop gets ready to go play Santa. Pop is next seen carrying a sack to his car and putting it in the trunk, slamming the lid on it several times, staining it red. He proceeds to go through several hijinks with the sack, including it getting dragged down the road, mauled by dogs, and ran over by two trains (one ridiculously long one and a more normal-length one). He finally gets to his destination, opens the bag, and pulls out... a damaged dolly. There's also a length of sausages and a can that caused it to be stained red. The scene cuts back to the home, where we see the sack still on the floor. Then we he hear Cub giggling, the sack stands up, and opens to reveal Cub, safe and sound. A rare appearance by Cub where he is completely unharmed at the end.
** "Cubtron Z" has a BittersweetEnding. The city turns out to be destroyed but Pop and Cub's house is safe along with the Monster helping Pop take care of Cubtron being [[MonsterIsAMommy Cubtron's mother figure]], unfortunately Cubtron unknowingly crushes Pop when he asked him to sit on his lap. However, at least Cub (as Cubtron) survives in the episode.
* In ''Party Animal'', Flaky throws Flippy a surprise party. When presented with the cake, he cries a SingleTear [[TearsOfJoy of gratitude]].
** It's easy to miss, but Flippy's myspace page states that he loves chocolate chip cookies. When we see Flaky baking the cake, there is an enormous plate of chocolate chips among the ingredients.
** Also, in ''Without a Hitch'', Flippy constantly wants to help her, despite her obvious avoidance.
* Lifty and Shifty have a long history of cheating and stealing from everyone, but Lumpy in particular. So when he sees them go flying by in a runaway cart on his deathtrap of an amusement park ride, what does he do? Hop on a handcar, chase them all over the ride until he sees the end of the tracks looming, then grab onto a string of flags and ''flip overhead into their cart'', pulling all three to a stop at the very last second. Their reaction cements the moment as a CMOH.
* Lumpy's determination to save his pet elephant in ''Junk in the Trunk''. It helps that this is one of the few aversions this series has of ShootTheShaggyDog. For bonus points, he adopts all of the other pets that Lifty and Shifty kidnapped throughout the episode (aside from the turtle, who is seen [[BrickJoke finally jumping off the ramp he was trying to climb earlier]]). Sure, he accidentally killed some of their owners over the course of the episode, but it's the thought that counts.
* Even though The Mole's [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin literal blind date]] became Lumpy by mistake instead of Giggles, and The Mole accidentally caused Lumpy's scalp to be sliced off early on, it was very nice of The Mole to take his date to some nice places such as the drive-in movie theater, the restaurant, and the Lookout Point even though he wouldn't be able to see those things himself.
* The ending of "Class Act", where everyone joins hands and sings "O Christmas Tree" together (except Flippy, who was triggered by the carnage in the actual school and was too busy stabbing someone), despite most of them being severely injured in some way. [[DownerEnding Then the school explodes and kills everyone.]] A couple of blink-and-you-miss-it examples from the aftermath of the school's carnage; Mime is trying to comfort a badly charred Generic Tree Friend, Splendid has shown up presumably to try and help everyone and Shifty is trying to help out his [[HalfTheManHeUsedToBe badly injured]] twin.
* In "As You Wish", Lifty and Shifty hug each other twice in short succession: first after Lumpy saves them from falling to their deaths, then when their wish for riches comes true. With all the rivalry and betrayals you usually see between the twins, it's nice to see them [[AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther show some affection]] for once.
** Also, them helping out Disco Bear with his bald problem in ''Easy Comb, Easy Go''. Possibly the first instance of the raccoon duo making money honestly.
** There's also the time when, in Happy Trails Part Two, they invite the surviving tree friends on an inflatable raft. It doesn't end well due to a certain porcupine popping it by accident (which earns her a KarmicDeath and even worse in that the raccoon duo were the only ones who don't survive the swim back), but for the two selfish characters that would do anything for a quick buck, it is a nice surprise to see them genuinely charitable.
** In "A Concrete Solution", after they accidentally run over Lumpy, their immediate response is to grow concerned and try to help him, Shifty pushing at his chest and Lifty holding his arm up. Sure, they steal his wallet immediately afterward, but for a moment, they cared to help someone in need.
* In "A Vicious Cycle", Fliqpy possesses a tricycle and, after killing Lumpy, Disco Bear and Pop, lets Cub ride him, not even attempting to attack him (although he might have killed him after the iris closed). This implies that, while Flippy in his flipped-out state might be the evilest character in the show (excluding, Mr. Pickels, Lifty & Shifty - and even then, the former at least seems to care about Lammy and the latter two have moments where they show they're not complete jerk-characters), he WouldntHurtAChild.
** And there's the implication that Fliqpy only kills those who he deems can fight back (like sparing an allergy-suffering Flaky and The Mole in ''Party Animal'').
* Lumpy comforting a terrified Flaky with a balloon animal in 'From A to Zoo'. Sure, he made it out of Cuddles' eye, but it's still nice that he went out of his way to make her feel better, even picking her up and carrying her while patting her back in a soothing manner. Plus the little smile on Flaky's face as she looks at her balloon (before noticing what it really is) is just adorable.
* Several episodes like "Camp Pokeneyeout" seem to indicate that Cuddles and Toothy are best friends.
** Likewise, this also appears to be the case for Giggles and Petunia.
* The original four primary characters of the show: Cuddles, Toothy, Giggles, and Lumpy, singing Christmas Carols together in several shorts, [[TrueCompanions implying that they do this every year together]]. Made even better how the majority of the shorts [[BreatherEpisode have no death and gore in it]][[note]]''Kringle Karols'' being the only one that actually has blood[[/note]].
* In ''I Get a Trick Out of You'', Cuddles seems to forgive Lumpy the magician for sawing him in half, laughing at one of his tricks. It seems that the Tree Friends are as kind [[MadeofPlasticine as they are fragile]].
* ''Mime and Mime Again'': Even though he accidentally killed him, it was nice of Mime to try and make Toothy feel better when he gets hospitalized. Toothy even began giggling at Mime juggling balls. It's another moment like this that shows how much the Tree Friends are as kind [[MadeofPlasticine as they are fragile]].
* Whether successful or not, Lumpy has attempted to save Giggles' life in quite a few episodes, including "See You Later Elevator", "I've Got You Under My Skin", "The Wrong Side Of The Tracks", "Ski Patrol", "You're Kraken Me Up", and "Blood Donor", among others. He's spent more time trying to save her than other characters, suggesting that the two are good friends.
* Doctor Lumpy patiently escorting Flaky (who suffered a near-fatal peanut allergic reaction) out of the hospital in "Party Animal". He even instinctively smacks any peanuts away from her!
* Despite the fact that he had previously ignored her in favor of Giggles and Petunia, Disco Bear seems happy to see Flaky at his door in "Ski Ya! Wouldn't Wanna Be Ya!"
* ''Double Whammy'': Although most of his attempts failed, it was nice of Lumpy to be Flippy's therapist as well as help him learn to control his PTSD. He even gave him a stress toy to squeeze whenever he felt like he was going to flip out.
* Nutty's FallingInLoveMontage in ''A Sucker For Love''. While it's mostly hilarious, the montage shows that, despite his selfish tendencies, he's much more romantic than you'd expect from his normal personality. He even brought his "wife" breakfast in bed and imagined having children with her.
* Speaking of Nutty, episodes like ''From Hero to Eternity'', ''Random Acts of Silence'', ''False Alarm'', ''Concrete Solution'', and ''All Work and No Play'' indicate that he's good friends with Sniffles. Since it's implied that Nutty is TheFriendNobodyLikes to the other Tree Friends, it's nice to know that ''someone'' is willing to hang out with him.
** Hell, Sniffles' and Nutty's OddFriendship, in general, is heartwarming. Both of them are polar opposites - Sniffles is a smart, nerdy BadassBookworm who would be perfectly fit to say something sarcastic if he could and Nutty is a rambunctious, sugar-addicted {{Cloudcuckoolander}} who's always laughing (even when he's dying). Because of their opposite personalities, it sounds like they wouldn't get along, but they actually manage to do so after all. OppositesAttract indeed.
* ''A Bit of a Pickle'': Lammy seems to forgive Mr. Pickels for getting her in trouble and sent to prison as she seems happy to see him when he sneaks into her cell. Likewise, it's also implied that Mr. Pickels came to visit her because he missed Lammy and wanted to apologize to her for getting her into trouble.
* A minor one but in ''A Change of Heart'', when Petunia sees Disco Bear have a heart attack, she looks scared and concerned for him. Considering that previous episodes show Petunia having a strong dislike for Disco Bear, it's nice that she doesn't hate him to the point where doesn't care for him when he's in danger.
