[[folder:General]]
* The relationship between the twins in general counts. Sure, they pester each other a lot, but not five minutes go by when it's not clear they're the best of friends. And after ''so'' many Creator/DisneyChannel shows where any siblings in the show are almost ''always'' at each others' throats with the [[AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther sweet moments few and far between]], the only exception being [[WesternAnimation/PhineasAndFerb another animated show taking place in the summer]], it's a real breath of fresh air.
** The little interactions between Dipper and Mabel (grabbing her hand and leading her away from danger, pouring a soda for her at the table in Double Dipper, the high-fives, the affectionate punches, etc.) really enforce that they truly are the best of friends.
** A nice little compilation of the duo's fraternal instincts in the face of danger [[http://i1.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/820/947/629.png here.]]
* Grunkle Stan's love for his twin brother, Stanford is also incredibly sweet. The guy worked endlessly for 30 years straight, and risked the end of the world to get him back. The little moments that we see like the boat being named "Stan O' War", secretly taking Ford's glasses in "Carpet Diem" when his old room is discovered by Soos, and so on only adds to this. And even after Ford repeatedly broke his heart, Stan never really gave up on him. His love for Ford pays off at the end of the series.
* Some of [[https://twitter.com/_AlexHirsch/status/262637820651372545 Alex Hirsch's]] [[https://twitter.com/_AlexHirsch/status/262971341546864640 tweets]] make it clear how much he and his sister's childhood influenced the show. You can tell he put his heart into it!
** Lance Bass appearing in the episode "Boyz Crazy" was a gift from Alex to Ariel, who was obsessed with the singer when she was younger.
* Wendy and Dipper's interactions in general are very heartwarming. Wendy is such a nice character in general - she hangs with friends her age and is a rowdy teen, alright, but she is ''never'' condescending to the kids and treats both Mabel and Dipper as equals, goofing around with them when, really, she doesn't have to at all. That, and Dipper's crush on Wendy is in general kind of adorable and well portrayed, as also seen in "Double Dipper".
** Wendy and Dipper "ganging up" on the video game ref in the beginning of ''Fight Fighters'' was oddly adorable before Robbie showed up, anyway.
** Too bad they're now just friends, but at least Dipper can hang out with the older kids.
** Also, whenever Wendy acts like a CoolBigSis to Mabel.
* Just about every time Grunkle Stan decides to bond with his great niece and nephew.
* Deputy Durland And Sheriff Blubs’s interactions are sweet . In almost every episode they’re in, Blubs is always complimenting Durland.
* The "Soos-Giving" marathon that aired on November 22, 2014 featured [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-voXYB5EIPU short clips of Soos thinking about the things for which he's thankful]]. He lists his girlfriend Melody twice in his first attempt, and later goes on to mention being grateful for the friendship of Dipper, Mabel, and Stan Pines.
** He says his abuelita is his best friend!
*** It aired again in 2015, and was just as heartwarming.
* In general, the friendship between Mabel, Candy, and Grenda. The three girls are all considered to be oddballs, but they don't care, because they have each other. They rarely fight, and when they do, they always make up quickly -- and they spend almost all their time together building each other up and complimenting each other, rather than being catty or passive-aggressive. (Seriously, count the number of times Mabel tells the other two that they're beautiful.)
* Pretty much every single time Grunkle Stan calls Mabel "Pumpkin" or "Sweetie." For all his sullen, grumpy grunkle-dom, he loves that little girl ''so'' much. His love for Dipper is more subtle, but definitely there.
* In ''Legend of the Gnome Gemulets'', some dialogue reveals that when the twins were born, Stan was there and held them. Also, Dipper nearly died, Mabel punched a doctor in the face straight out of the womb, and Stan refused to give them to Shermy, their grandfather.
* Amazingly enough, outside the events of the show, ''Bill Cipher'' arguably gets one. One of Bill's quotes [[AllThereInTheManual from the Reddit AMA]] isn't especially SugarWiki/{{funny|Moments}}, [[BlackComedy darkly humorous]], or NightmareFuel, but rather talks about how being creative and original isn't something you can just buy. A ''villainous dream-triangle'' actually gave advice that seems like it would be from a website of meaningful quotes. Just try saying this quote to a fellow Faller when the opportunity arises and ''then'' reveal who said it.:
-->'''Bill:''' [[ObservationOnOriginality "No amount of gold on Earth can buy originality."]]
* [[http://shmalexsmirsch.tumblr.com/post/133619326491/goodbye-gravity-falls Alex Hirsch's post on Gravity Falls ending]] and how he perfectly touches on what makes the show so special for all its fans. Doubles as a TearJerker.
-->'''Alex Hirsch:''' But Gravity Falls was never meant to be a series that goes on and on forever. It’s meant to be an exploration of the experience of summer, and in a larger sense a story about childhood itself. The fact that childhood ends is exactly what makes it so precious - and why you should cherish it while it lasts.
** On the note of Alex, there is one more that may or may not be intentional, and it's Bill's final backwards message just before Stan finishes him off. Now, this could be a SequelHook, or this could be one final, desperate attempt to save himself; who knows. There's one thing that is definite, however: this single utterance gives the world potential for continuance. With one stroke, Disney has the perfect hook to bring this setting, or perhaps just Bill himself back, one day. It comes across as a friendly tip of the cap, as if to say, "I've told the story I wanted to tell, but if you ever want to pick it back up, the door's open for you". It takes a big man to know when to close the curtain, but it takes an even ''bigger'' one to relinquish his creation for potential expansion by another.
* When ''Gravity Falls'' ended, Alex Hirsch decided to call the fans "honorary Pines family members" which is something the fans needed to hear when the series had finished
** As an extension of this heartwarming moment, Hirsch said that all headcanons were equal and that they don't need his confirmation or input because they are just another form of dedication from the fans. While this may have been depicted as more apathetic or aggressive, from Hirsch's prospective, this a very heartwarming act because he hasn't exactly had the best experiences with the ''Gravity Falls'' shipping or fan fiction community to a point where he has insulted or mocked some of the ships. So he's essentially telling them that the ship teases are as real as the shippers want them to be and that the ending allows them to make their own ending for the characters.
* While shippers were upset and enraged that their pairings were never fulfilled, they overlooked the fact that the twins are friends with their former enemies in the end. In the first season, their rivals would publicly humiliate them or threaten them with violence but in the final episode, they all attend the twins' party as loyal and close friends and even signed a note for Dipper so he can remember the people he and Mabel met during the summer.
* July 20, 2016. [[https://twitter.com/_AlexHirsch/status/755870882027802624 Alex Hirsch tweeted the first major clue to the location of the Cipher statue seen as the final shot of the series]] and already fans are banding together on an around-the-world quest to piece the clues together and find it. Less than 4 hours later, [[https://twitter.com/_AlexHirsch/status/755921257439174656 the second clue was found in Russia]], with the next clue apparently hidden somewhere in Japan.
** Just the fact that ''the entire fandom'' is all joining in together to either physically follow the Cipher Hunt clues themselves or watch the progress on social media as it happens. Alex Hirsch even said that by following, every fan is part of the Cipher Hunt even if they aren't able to physically be at the locations where the clues are.

[[folder:Season 1]]

[[AC:Tourist Trapped]]
* "Awkward Sibling Hug?" "Awkward Sibling Hug."
** [[SugarWiki/FunnyMoments "PAT. PAT."]]
* Grunkle Stan's PetTheDog moment. Considering what we've seen of his character so far, letting Dipper and Mabel each pick something from the Mystery Shack gift shop is a pretty big deal.
* "This journal told me there was no one in Gravity Falls I could trust. But when you battle a hundred gnomes side by side with someone, you realize that they've probably always got your back."
* The theme of trust between Dipper and Mabel that sets up their teamwork for the rest of the show is done really well, and also gives us a lot of really adorable sweet sibling moments. Considering this is the first episode, there are sure to be more.

[[AC:The Legend of the Gobblewonker]]
* After abandoning Grunkle Stan to go chase a monster that turned out to be just a very tech savvy hillbilly who explained that he wanted some attention from his family, Dipper and Mabel (and Soos) decide to go back and spend time with each other fishing like poor Stan originally planned to.
-->'''Dipper:''' Well, we spent all day trying to find a legendary dinosaur...\
'''Mabel:''' But we realized the only dinosaur we wanna hang out with is right here.
** They end up using the film from Dipper's last disposable camera to take photos of their day on the lake with Stan and Soos. It's a very touching family bonding moment, and considering the general supernatural nature of most of their mementos of the summer, it's probably one of the few they could share with their parents when they returned home at the end of the series.

[[AC:Headhunters]]
* Grunkle Stan affectionately noogie-ing Dipper and Mabel at the end.

[[AC:The Hand That Rocks the Mabel]]
* A small moment is Mabel saving the soon-to-be-eaten lobster and keeping him as a pet.
* Dipper helping Mabel out of [[TroubledFetalPosition Sweater Town]], followed by him offering to break the news about her wanting to break up with Gideon for her so she wouldn't have to. That was seriously nice of him, even if it had unintended consequences.
* The reason why Mabel is so enthusiastic about befriending Gideon at first is that she likes having someone to do girly things with, since Soos and Dipper do "boy things" all the time. How does the episode end? With Mabel bedazzling Soos.
** While it’s also hilarious, the fact that Dipper and Soos have bonded over doing "boy things" such as blowing up hot dogs in a microwave is incredibly sweet.
* Grunkle Stan, Dipper and Mabel bonding over their shared dislike for Lil' Gideon.

[[AC:The Inconveniencing]]
* Wendy lying to her friends about how Dipper defeated the ghosts in so that he could keep whatever dignity he had left, even though she clearly loved his dance.
* The clear concern Dipper has when he finds out his sister is wigging out from the sugar stuff (thinking it wasn't as bad earlier but when it's clear she's [=ODing=], he is legitimately freaking out).
* Despite a case of ''massive'' overreaction and DisproportionateRetribution towards teenagers, Ma and Pa Duskerton turn out to be a grandparently pair of ghosts who are much nicer towards actual children that end up in their store, and act very loving towards each other even in death.

[[AC:Dipper vs. Manliness]]
* After Dipper tells his story about the Manotaurs and the Multi-Bear, Grunkle Stan points out how doing the right thing in spite of the pressure is rather manly. Let me repeat, ''[[TheBarnum Grunkle Stan]]'' said this. Not only that, but the fact that he says it so matter-of-factly, almost flippantly, instead of with the Anvilicious seriousness that any other show would have delivered that line with. It's clear that this is has always been a completely normal line of thinking for him.
** Dipper choosing not to kill the Multi-Bear, despite all the pressure to do so, simply because it wasn't the right thing to do.
** It's a brief moment, but in the diner, Manly Dan can be seen with his daughter Wendy, eating pancakes with her. It lead to the interpretation that this is how Manly Dan bonds with his daughter: over breakfast. Even if her brothers weren't around, it was nice to see Manly Dan interact with Wendy.
* Chutzpar takes Dipper under his wing within seconds of meeting him and proves a surprisingly kindly mentor figure.

[[AC:Double Dipper]]
* Mabel's new friends staying with her even though she lost the dance contest to Pacifica.
-->'''Candy:''' We may not have as many friends as Pacifica, but we have each other, and that is just as good, I think.
* Grunkle Stan cheers for Mabel and wants her to win the Party Queen contest. The other contestant wasn't the nicest regardless, but it goes to show that Grunkle Stan does care about Mabel.
** Soos is very clearly supporting Mabel too. He takes a moment to compliment her for the cheers she's getting, and is terribly sad when he announces Pacifica wins and gives her the crown. It shows how much he cares for the twins.
* Tyrone being nice to [[CloneDegeneration Paper Jam Dipper]]. Tyrone's particularly patient with him, and hushes Dipper #3 for his rude comment to Paper Jam Dipper—he's got as much of a BigBrotherInstinct towards all the clones like Dipper does with Mabel.
** Tyrone trying to feed Paper Jam Dipper. It's oddly heartwarming, funny, and kind of creepy.
** Paper Jam Dipper is helping out with writing Step 19 for Wendy Plan B.
* Again, Dipper and Wendy have a fairly sweet moment. It's kind of downplayed by what happens afterwards, but their casual conversation when Dipper runs into her near the bathroom is just... nice.
* Then there's the final scene with Dipper and Tyrone just talking together about what they've learned about not getting in their own way.
** While Tyrone melting is a tearjerker, he gives Dipper extra encouragement to go after Wendy, for both of their sakes.

[[AC:Irrational Treasure]]
* Dipper comforting Mabel after Pacifica insults her on stage, followed by a pep talk.
** Dipper exposing the truth about Pacifica's family to her after her harsh treatment of Mabel, despite the fact that Mabel no longer cared at that point; he loves his sister enough to get revenge for her that she didn't even want.
* Dipper pointing out that Mabel's brand of silliness was the real key to unlocking Gravity Falls past, since its true founder was similar to her. Upon being woken up from his peanut-buttery tomb, Quentin Trembley commends them both for their achievement, and even makes Mabel a congresswoman (he can't actually do that, but it's a nice thought), and gives Dipper the President's Key, which can open every lock in the country.

[[AC:The Time Traveler's Pig]]
* Dipper giving up his hard fought time travel assisted friendship boost with Wendy, so Mabel can keep her new pig, Waddles. The thank-you hug she gave him afterwards (shown above) was nothing short of ''adorable''.
** "That'll do, pig. That'll do."
** Hell, even the intro of Gravity Falls introducing Mabel cuddling a pig is this.
* Wendy's sheer joy when Dipper finally wins her the stuffed animal. It's ultimately undercut by Mabel's distress over losing Waddles, but she's just so happy when the carnie hands her the panda-duck.
-->'''Wendy''': This is the best present ever.

[[AC:Fight Fighters]]
* "Did you hear that? She called me one of her boys!"
* Mabel helping Grunkle Stan get over his fear of heights was both [[SugarWiki/FunnyMoments hilarious]] and adorable.
* A minor one that can be easily overlooked but Robbie sparing Dipper just as he's about to fight him. Considering how big of a {{Jerkass}} Robbie is, it's nice to know that [[EveryoneHasStandards there are lines that]] [[WouldntHurtAChild even he wouldn't cross]].

[[AC:Summerween]]
* Dipper admitting to Wendy in the end that he was, in fact, trick-o-treating with his sister. It turns out Wendy has no problem with it.
** It's a small one, but if you notice when the twins and company come back to the Mystery Shack, it's implied Wendy has been there for a while. Showing that while she ''could've'' gone home, she chose to go to the Shack and be with them.
* Dipper sticking a bandaid on Mabel's skinned elbow in "Summerween".
* In a somewhat creepy way, the Summerween Trickster being able to die happy in the knowledge that someone enjoyed eating him.
* 3-year-old Dipper & Mabel [[http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/gravityfalls/images/4/4c/S1e12_Scrap_Book_3yrs_old.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/800?cb=20121023041756 dressed as kittens]]. D'awww...
** People really do love the Twin Costumes. The biker they visit at their first stop as Peanut Butter and Jelly is so touched he's brought to tears and gives them a whole bowl of candy.
* When Mabel is sad that even after all that they didn't get any candy, Stan reveals the two bags left behind by those two kids from earlier.
* The [=LolPigs=] segment during the credits gives a really warm fuzzy feeling to watch, especially since this was one of the freakiest and most intense episodes in the entire show.
* Just the entire Pines family having fun shopping for Summerween stuff, laughing as they, ahem, "purchase" their items.

[[AC:Boss Mabel]]
* Grunkle Stan trusts Mabel with the shack for 72 hours in "Boss Mabel". He does it to prove a point. However, it's not often that Grunkle Stan's acts are fueled by principle instead of money.

[[AC:The Deep End]]
* In "The Deep End," Mabel falls for a merman trapped in the local pool. She enjoys hanging out with him, but when she realizes how unhappy he is, [[IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy Mabel goes to great lengths to help Mermando return to the ocean, even if it means they have to part ways]].
** He then repays her with a kiss. [[FirstKiss Her first kiss]]. Many of Mabel and [[PunnyName Mermando's]] interactions beforehand were quite adorable. Particularly them combing each other's hair.
** At the end when Mabel is sitting alone at the pool missing Mermando, she's immediately cheered up by several messages in bottles that he sends her all the way from the ocean.
-->'''Mermando's letter:''' Our first kiss will always hold a place in my heart... [[MoodWhiplash technically hearts.]]
* Even Blubs and Durland have [[HeterosexualLifePartners a little moment]] [[HoYay of their own]].
-->'''Blubs''': I think someone just sped by!\
'''Durland''': Prob'ly just a dream.\
'''Blubs''': With you, ''every'' day is a dream.

[[AC:Carpet Diem]]
* Dipper admits he misses spending time with Mabel and feels like he's getting left behind when she goes to hang out with her friends. That, plus the fact that they move back into the same room by the end of the episode, just shows how close they are and that they value each others' company more than anyone else's (which is arguably just about the sweetest thing in the world).
-->'''Dipper:''' Hey, um... Do you want to have a sleepover?
** Mabel telling Grenda that she's too beautiful to need make-up, although probably intended as a joke given Grenda's "butch" appearance, is very sweet and genuine coming from Mabel.
** Most of Stan's interactions with Mabel in Dipper's body.
-->'''Stan:''' (''hugging "Dipper"'') Shhhhh. [[ItMakesSenseInContext You had me at "shut up old man"]].
** After realizing he doesn't need the spare room after all, Dipper gives it to Soos as a new employee lounge, to replace the cramped, hazardous "break room" in the crawlspace.
** One of the first things Soos does after regaining his proper body is scratch the itch Waddles can't reach on the back of his head, much to Waddles delight.

[[AC:Boyz Crazy]]
* Dipper exposes Robbie's song of having subliminal messages. Grunkle Stan states that he did the right thing and that until Wendy gets her life back together after dumping Robbie, the two of them could always go bowling together. There's also the scene where they give each other high-fives and the fact that Grunkle Stan knows what it's like for Dipper to lose someone he loves to music to be there to support him.
** Somewhat Fridge-Heartwarming, but the fact that Stan cares enough about Wendy (his lazy, sarcastic employee who pelted him with water balloons for no reason two episodes prior) to actually believe Dipper's shenanigans and take a dangerous, off-road route to save her.
* In the end, Mabel decides to let Sev'Ral Timez go and be free, even though she's still torn about how every guy she's met leaving her.

[[AC:The Land Before Swine]]
* There's just something adorable about the way Waddles gingerly puts his hoof on Stan's finger and grunts at him when Stan tells Waddles he's watching him. Stan might not like Waddles much, but Waddles definitely likes Stan.
* "Waddles, can I tell you a secret? You're my favorite pig in the whole world."
* Stan fights a pterodactyl to protect Waddles, solely because he cares about Mabel and knows she'd be upset if something happened to her pet. It's both heartwarming and [[SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome awesome]].
** Stan and Mabel making up after their fight, culminating in the two of them [[SleepCute falling asleep]] [[https://www.themarysue.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/well-earned-nap.jpg together]] [[ItMakesSenseInContext covered in tree sap.]]
* Dipper and Soos also making up after their fight with their fist bump.

[[AC:Dreamscaperers]]
* The reason Stan acts so cold and bossy towards Dipper, and constantly making him do chores? He sees how weak he was when he was a kid in Dipper. Just like what his father did to him, Stan's toughening him up so he can become strong and proud.
** He specifically says he does it so Dipper can fight back whatever the world throws at him. Considering all the danger in Gravity Falls (which Stan might already know about), it makes it even more heartwarming. Oh, and he adds that he thinks Dipper is doing great.
** And after Dipper slips into that memory, Stan [[RuleOfSymbolism fills the hole in his chest]].
** On an interesting note, when Stan's memories reveal his weakness as an adolescent, it indicates that he was embellishing his previous recollection of his younger days (in "Boyz Crazy"), which made him look like a jock-y ladies' man. The fact that he deliberately revealed these memories means that he considered this moment important enough to open up to Dipper and Soos about some of the more embarrassing elements of his early days (which he had been keeping from them until then) in order to teach his great-nephew an important lesson about life.
** Even if it unintentionally alienated Dipper, the fact that Soos kept what Stan told him secret. He trusts that has Stan has Dipper's best interests at heart, and it's not his place to spill Stan's troubled past.
* A minor one for the same episode comes from Bill Cipher. He may have pulled out that deer's teeth, but it was good to see that he actually bothered to restore the deer's teeth after he was done making his deal with Gideon.
* Also, take a look at the wall by the door in Stan's office during Gideon's first break-in attempt. There's a picture of a smiling Soos with a plaque labeled "Employee of the Month."

[[AC: Gideon Rises]]
* Grunkle Stan being legitimately upset when he has to send Dipper and Mabel home because he can't take care of them, anymore. Even for all of the teasing and such, he really does love them.
** How about when they go to the shack and Gideon is announcing all his plans for the shack? He talks about how he plans to tear down all the property and make the place into "Gideonland", but the minute he announces he's going to force Mabel's pet pig, Waddles, to be the mascot, "Gideon Jr.", that is when Stan has had enough and tries to announce that he's a fraud. It's kind of sweet that it was his niece's distress that caused him to stop everything and try to stand up against Gideon.
** Dipper and Mabel desperately trying to hold on to each other as Gideon-bot picks them up.
** After being picked up, Dipper screams at Gideon to let Mabel go, not really seeming to care that he was in the same predicament himself.
** At the end when Stan is considered a hero for exposing Gideon as a fraud to the whole town.
*** While affectionately noogie-ing Dipper and carrying Mabel on his shoulder, no less!
** The montage at the Mystery Shack showed they were together again and that the Shack was finally theirs.
*** Special mention goes to Dipper and Mabel telling Stan about the journal, Soos water gunning them, and Mabel telling Dipper he was still a hero even without the journal.
*** A subtle one is they kept calling the Mystery Shack their home.
** Dipper and Wendy smiling at each other while they repair the Mystery Shack roof.
** Mabel reassuring Dipper after he fusses over Stan borrowing Journal 3. Dipper is flustered from this, but carries this bit of positivity and relies less on the journal later in the summer.
--->'''Mabel:''' Dipper, you don't need that book! Don't you see? On your own you defeated a giant robot with nothing but your bare hands! [[YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre You're a hero whether you've got that journal or not]]!
** Stan even has a framed photo of both Dipper and Mabel in the secret facility behind the vending machine. This can be considered {{foreshadowing}} for ''Not What He Seems'': the fact that he has that photo in such a secret place, where no one but him can see it, is proof that, no matter what shady activities he may engage in, he really does love Dipper and Mabel.
** The final scene definitely qualifies once you've put some thought into it. Stan has been after the journals for a good portion of his life, and had been looking for so long that he'd begun to wonder if all of life was utterly futile as seen in "Bottomless Pit." But now a twist of fate has handed him both of the ones he was missing, and he's finally getting to see his grand purpose fulfilled.
*** Even more so now that we know that he was doing it to get his brother back.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Shorts]]
* From "Mabel's Guide to Dating", Soos gives us this.
-->'''Soos''': How many kids do I want to have? Seven, preferably. That's one to love for every day of the week!
** Mabel's "masterpiece" at five years old was a squiggly stick-figure drawing of Dipper.
* Weirdly, even Pacifica gets a small PetTheDog moment in "Mabel's Guide to Color". It's clear from the short that Mabel went to the mall with the camera to film her guide and ran into Pacifica, who she then asked what was her favorite color. Instead of blowing Mabel off like she might've been expected to do at this point, she instead gave a sincere and enthusiastic answer. Though its possible that she only agreed to be in Mabel's video due to being an AttentionWhore.
* "Mabel's Scrapbook: Heist Movie" ends up with the Pines-plus-Soos family sitting and watching a movie from the projection booth. It's rather sweet.
** Dipper high-fiving Mabel after her joke goes over well with the moviegoers from that same short.
* The fact that Wendy and Soos go to the petting zoo with the Pines in "Mabel’s Scrapbook: Petting Zoo" is a sign that they’re bonding with the family.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Season 2]]
[[AC: Scaryoke]]
* Grunkle Stan giving Dipper and Mabel most of the credit for exposing Gideon. The Pines family being town heroes in general is this.
* Him going all PapaWolf to protect the kids from the zombies and revealing he always knew the town was crazy, but lied to protect the kids.
-->'''Grunkle Stan:''' The only wrinkly monster who harasses ''my'' family is ME!
* It goes by quick but unlike most shows where someone in the same situation would have just brushed Dipper off for being a kid, Agent Powers actually responds to his excitement about solving the mysteries of Gravity Falls. He even gets down on one leg to talk to Dipper at eye level while giving him his card in case if he has anymore information.
* In a small one, Wendy playing look-out to help Dipper.
* Most importantly, the trio karaoke song they sang as a family defeating the zombies.
-->'''Dipper:''' I'm sorry about this, guys. I totally ruined everything.\
'''Mabel:''' Dipper, are you kidding me? I got to sing karaoke with my two favorite people in the world! No party could ever top that.
* Even though Stan grounds Dipper for disobeying him, he declares that he isn't grounded until the party is over. Despite what he did, he'll still let Dipper enjoy the party.

* While also a bit of TearJerker (due to [[{{Anchored Ship}} possibility]] of ShipSinking, not to mention the circumstances beforehand), Wendy admitting she's super flattered by Dipper's crush on her and [[BetterAsFriends gently lets him down.]]
** The glowing praise she gives Dipper about how much their friendship means to her:
--> '''Wendy''': Lemme tell you something: this summer was SUPER boring until you showed up. I have more fun with you than, like, practically anybody else; and if you ever stopped being my friend, I would, like, throw myself into the Bottomless Pit!

[[AC:The Golf War]]
* Grunkle Stan giving Mabel a "U Da Best!" sticker before her mini-golf duel with Pacifica. Sure, it ends up causing more trouble than its worth, but he didn't know that!
** Stan is generally a big sweetheart the entire episode, to both the twins and to Soos. His CharacterDevelopment is kicking in and it shows.
* The ending, where Mabel offers Pacifica a ride home in Grunkle Stan's car and one of the tacos she found in the back-seat, and Pacifica seems to slowly move towards being, at the least, VitriolicBestBuds with Mabel.
-->'''Pacifica:''' And Mabel, I can't believe I'm saying this, but... I had fun.
** Also, in spite of calling him a "servant" while doing so, she gives a sincere compliment to Soos about his fashion update, which pleases him greatly.
** Pacifica gets to see how a normal family enjoys a ride home, eating food together, and even something as silly as Stan and Soos singing “The Driving Song” together.
* Big Henry bravely sacrificing his life to push the ball through a deadly gas leak. In his last moments, he even looks at a drawing Polly made of the two of them together and tears up with a proud smile before he dies. Of course, the absurdity and low stakes of it all is PlayedForLaughs.

[[AC:Sock Opera]]
* Mabel learns that Mermando must marry the Queen of the Manatees in order to prevent an undersea war. While the news breaks her heart, she comments in a surprisingly genuine tone how beautiful the Queen looks despite looking like nothing more than a manatee with a crown and royal garb.
* While Mabel does put aside her promise to Dipper, she does still show concern throughout the episode that Dipper is unhealthily going through a lack of sleep.
* Mabel basically giving up her chance to impress her Crush of the Week by preventing "Bipper" from taking the book, destroying the set she worked so hard to build in the process.
--> '''Bipper''': I mean, who would sacrifice everything they've worked for just for their dumb sibling?
-->'''Mabel:''' ... ''Dipper would.''
** By this same token, Mabel coming to the realization that her obsessions and boyfriend-of-the-week habits, as well as her expectation of Dipper to just roll with them, is actually very draining on Dipper and selfish of her to boot. It really goes to show how talented the writers are that they were able to take one of Mabel's negative character traits and turn out an episode based solely on that that lets her learn from the experience and become a better person.
** The long, heartfelt apology Mabel gives Dipper after they had defeated Bill and accidentally destroyed all the sock puppets:
-->'''Mabel:''' Well, one of them survived, and she has something to say to you: *talking through her sock puppet* Sorry, Dipper. I spent all week obsessing over a dumb guy. But the dumb guy I should have cared about, was you. *bops him in the face with the puppet* Bap!
* If the puppet show is any indication, Mabel wants Stan to give her away at her wedding--instead of either of her parents! Guess she wasn't kidding when she said he and Dipper were her two favorite people.
* It's kind of sweet that "Dipper" is the character who speaks first in the puppet show.

[[AC: Soos and the Real Girl]]
* Despite the idea of dating terrifying him, Soos agrees to give it a fair go, because his Abuelita wants to see him settled before she passes away. And she gets her wish!
* After a season or more of helping the kids, they decide it's their turn to help Soos with one of his personal problems. It's so sweet and utterly adorable seeing the two coach Soos on getting a girl. Especially the pep talk before the date.
* Melody and Soos. Their interactions are so awkward and cute together. After Soos (accidentally) gets a date with her, she gives him two quarters so he can keep riding the train ride at the mall.
* Even better, Soos doesn't win Melody over with deliberate flirting or tactics he learned from the game -- he charms her just by [[BeYourself being himself]] and [[YouWereTryingTooHard just having a normal conversation with her]].
* Wendy lifting Soos' spirits by calling him a sweet guy.
* A small one, with Mabel wearing a pink-heart hat to match Dipper's blue pine hat. Even if it's just for one episode, it's sweet to see her taking after her brother a little.
* For another small one, Wendy spends the entire B-plot snarking at Stan -- but when he falls out of the window, she immediately offers to grab his orthopedic back pillow, for which he thanks her.

[[AC: Little Gift Shop of Horrors]]
* Disembodied hands braiding Mabel's hair. It's actually much cuter and sweeter than it sounds.
* Despite having the opportunity to magnify his increased intelligence even more and help to solve all the problems of the known world, Waddles realizes that getting to meet high-ranking officials and scientists will mean missing out on the good times he's had with Mabel, who's lonely and depressed without her best friend, and promptly flips the switch on his machine to drain his IQ back to that of a normal, lovable pig.
-->'''Waddles''': What good is helping the world if I can't help my favorite person in the whole world?
** In the last eight seconds before his IQ snaps back to normal, Genius!Waddles gives a heartfelt speech to Dipper that it's the pursuit that makes science great, not basking in the achievements.
--->'''Waddles''': I want you to know that science is a horizon to search for, not a prize to hold in your hand...
* Stan protecting the twins from WesternAnimation/{{Gumby}} Soos.
--->'''Stan''': We're safe now, kids. (grabs them) We're safe.
* Twice during this episode, Stan calls Mabel "sweetie." Given how salty he usually is, it's incredibly sweet. One of those times, an offscreen Mabel shoots a rubber arrow at his head. Stan isn't even mad, and just laughs it off and tells her not to shoot in the house.
* In a sort of twisted way, Mabel taking time to play Tic-Tac-Toe with the person trapped in The Cheapskate exhibit during the outro short. Sure, it was PlayedForLaughs and all, but it was still a nice gesture for a person who was probably having a very, VERY bad day.
* When you remember that Stan tells all three stories in-universe, the way the twins are portrayed is incredibly sweet. In the first story, Dipper is the voice of reason that Stan ''should've'' listened to, and both he and Mabel help save the day by befriending the Hand Witch. In the second, Mabel is so important to Waddles, he gives up his superintelligence for her. In the third, Mabel gets to be the big hero and face her fear head-on.

[[AC:Society of the Blind Eye]]
* Mabel and Wendy defending Lazy Susan when Soos mocks her mascara.
-->'''Mabel:''' I think she looks beautiful!
-->'''Wendy:''' She's trying the best she can!
* By the end of the episode, [=McGucket=] is starting his way down the road to recovery, and it's implied that the Mystery Shack gang will help him through it.
** Dipper tricking the former Blind Eye society members into donating some money to Old Man [=McGucket=]. Lord knows the guy needs all the help he can get.
** The first two times [=McGucket=] "speaks" with hambones are played for laughs, but the third and last message, after he learns who he was, is pure Heartwarming:
-->'''[=McGucket=]:''' Thanks for opening my eyes.
* Wendy and Mabel bonding. Special mention to Wendy pretending to be a dude so Mabel could practice her approach.
* Mabel giving a new identity to Blind Ivan that he could actually find joy in. It was pretty adorable to hear her tell him he was something so innocent and lighthearted, and he was genuinely happy with this persona.
* Mabel sticking with Dipper despite being depressed over her crushes. Before, she might have run off to try and find a new romance, but she ran around with Dipper the whole time, doing something he was excited about. She really has learned from Sock Opera!
* A bit of Fridge Heartwarming here--Old Man [=McGucket=] can't remember anything that happened prior to 1982 due to repeated memory wipes causing brain damage, but somehow, in spite of this, he remembers that ''he has a son'' who he loves, as we see in "Legend of the Gobblewonker." This makes it all the more of a TearJerker that his son doesn't want to spend time with him.

[[AC:Blendin's Game]]
* It’s a small moment but when Blendin tells the time police that he wants to fight Mabel and Dipper in Globnar, the twins are seen playfully hitting each other. It’s small moments like this that shows how much the twins get along and enjoy each other's company, unlike most siblings in TV shows.
* Minor, but after the vending machine refuses to dispense their candy, Soos shows up and shows Dipper and Mabel his trick to get into it and, in turn, dumps an armful of candy on them.
-->'''Soos''': A genius taught me that once...
** Later on, in 2002, Mabel sees Young Soos in the same predicament and [[StableTimeLoop winds up teaching him his trick]].
--->'''Young Soos''': Thanks, dog! [[MeaningfulEcho You must be some kind of genius!]]
** It's subtle, but after Soos gives Dipper and Mabel the candy, he is seen putting coins into the vending machine, presumably to balance out the cost of the candy he took out.
* Dipper and Mabel going through all that they did to try to make Soos happy on his birthday. They even endure ''gladiatorial combat'' to get a wish so he can see his DisappearedDad.
** And after realizing what they did to try and make him happy, Soos uses his Time Wish to patch the twins up, and says that ''they're'' his family.
*** Their hug was also really cute.
*** How about the fact that they gave him their time wish as a present? No, really. Think about it. They had the chance to wish for ANYTHING they wanted. Anything. Dipper could have finally figured out the mysteries of Gravity Falls. Mabel could finally find the perfect summer crush. But neither of them think about either of that for a split second. The only thing they got on their minds is Soos' happiness. That, right there, is true friendship.

* While acknowledging that Blendin tried wishing them out of existence, Dipper and Mabel also realize that what happened to Blendin in the first place was their fault, so they get the Time Baby to give Blendin his job back (and nice hair).
* Stan petitioned the government to have Soos's birthday removed from calendars, since Soos hates it so much. Stan really ''does'' care.
** The ending credits take it even further by implying Stan's the closest thing Soos has ever had to a fatherly-figure.
* A small one, but when Wendy finds out the twins threw Soos a surprise birthday party and tells them he hates his birthday, the very first thing she says is "You guys didn't know, so this isn't your fault." And Soos at no point gets mad at the kids about it either, just stating that he's not up for the activities they try to set up for him. Considering how often conflicts rise from simple lack of information in some shows, this is seriously nice to see.
* Soos's family is nice in general. His Abuelita adores him, two of his older cousins fawn over him, and his same-age cousin Reggie tries to console him when his dad fails to show.
** In a sad way, Abuelita declaring that if Soos's deadbeat father ever shows his face around Gravity Falls again, she'll rip him limb from limb. NeverMessWithGranny, especially not where her beloved grandson is concerned, even if you ''do'' happen to be his father. (''Especially'' if you happen to be his father!)
* That adorable moment where Dipper and Mabel see a five-year-old Wendy hanging out with Tambry, and she blabs that [[PrecociousCrush Wendy thinks Dipper is cute]]. Turns out Dipper's crush on Wendy might not be so one-sided after all.
* Soos states that he'd do anything for the Pines family (which Stan then confirms by demanding Soos help him scratch two places at once.) In the show's stinger, we see that Stan gave Soos his handyman job at the Mystery Shack on his depressing birthday, and he was likely the first thing resembling a stable, semi-positive father figure in his life (JerkWithAHeartOfGold or not, this is still Stan we're talking about here). The look on Soos's face says it all.
** Though not intentional, the fact that Dipper and Mabel are the reason Soos got his job at the Mystery Shack in the first place. Them forgetting the screw driver at his house lead him to head to the Mystery Shack to return it just as Stan was firing another employee, resulting in Soos getting the job.
* What would Dundgren, one of the Time Guards, want to use the Time Wish for? Retire so he can spend more time with his family, his children in particular.
* Soos realizes he really isn't up for laser tag and considers going home to make himself some dinosaur-shaped cookies. Remind yourself, what did Abuelita make him on that awful, awful birthday to try and cheer him up? Dinosaur-shaped cookies.

[[AC:The Love God]]
* Wendy reassuring Dipper at the beginning. It's just a nice friendly little moment.
-->'''Wendy''': When you're with us, you're in.
* Upon finding Robbie wallowing in misery over a breakup, most of the character's reactions are uncomfortable at best and completely apathetic at worst. And many an audience member would probably react the same way; he's been almost nothing but a JerkAss since his first appearance and few would argue that the breakup was undeserved. All except for one character: Mabel. Her immediate reaction to seeing Robbie is desire to make him feel better, and it barely takes her a minute to get her heart set on getting him a new girlfriend to cheer him up. Why? Because no matter who they are, she can't stand seeing another person miserable if she can help it. For all of Mabel's faults, that takes serious character.
* Robbie and Tambry hooking up. Not only do they make a surprisingly adorable couple, but they actually help one another become better people: Tambry finally steps out of her phone-devoted shell, and Robbie is not only genuinely happy for the first time in ages, but he actually manages to show warmth to his other friends. Even moreso, according to ''Literature/GravityFallsJournal3'', it turns out that Love God's potions only last three hours and its effects only remain if the couple's love is real. Since they were still together ten hours before Mabel learned the truth, that means that they actually ''are'' in love and not just forced together by the potion, which also takes away the HardTruthAesop the episode displayed.
** A lot of their interactions as a couple are treated as gross PDA InUniverse, but it is pretty sweet. Special mention goes to them gently putting eye liner on each other. A match made in broody goth heaven.
** If the look they exchanged means anything, Wendy and Robbie have finally forgiven each other.
** Everyone in the entire social group, even Robbie, become friends again thanks to [[TheHeart Thompson]].
* It's short but we see that Soos and Melody's relationship is going well.
** At Waddles' and Gompers' wedding, Soos dives for the bouquet (shoving Wendy out of the way), catches it, and looks absolutely thrilled to have done so. It's played for laughs, but it's also a fridge "d'awww" moment.
* While this isn't in the episode, check out [[http://arythusa.tumblr.com/post/104366869577/gravity-falls-the-love-god-intro the original storyboards]] for the introduction of the titular Love God. In the aired show, the sequence showed LG making an old woman fall in love with an old man. In the original storyboards? It's a lesbian couple, and everyone present was immediately accepting of it, nobody questions it, nobody bats an eye at all. Alex Hirsch and co. may not be able to get that past the radar quite yet, but it's good to see they're at least trying.
** And even in the aired version, the old man and woman are of different races. Given their ages, they may not have been able to pursue a relationship when they were young, so it's heartwarming to see them get a second chance at love in their old age.
* In a weird way, Dipper and Mabel's horrified concern when Love God hasn't come out from under the burning Stan balloon yet. [[PhysicalGod He's fine, of course]], but their worrying about a man who was just chasing them down and gloating to their faces is sweet.
--> '''Mabel:''' *while crossing her fingers* Please be immortal. Please be immortal. Please be immortal.
* Love God is a heartwarming character because he was very friendly to Mabel (in the original storyboard he would have called her "sweetheart") and was very welcoming to her at the first meeting. Even Mabel was kind to him (in the storyboard she would have kept the cassette rather than put it in the bin). He also had no malicious intentions and has a passion for match making. When finding out that Mabel had stolen his potion he sounded angry and disappointed, then becoming a ApologeticAttacker (even though he never physically harmed them but he does know that he was doing an evil action by using Mabel's past crushes against her) whereas other antagonists became murderously angry at the smallest of offences. Love God may have been an antagonist to the twins but he was the first antagonist to have a positive impact on the twins to a point of Dipper and Mabel wanting him to be safe and unharmed in the ending.

[[AC:Northwest Mansion Mystery]]
* The main reason why Dipper is so harsh towards Pacifica is the way she treated Mabel. When you think about it, she never have been especially despicable to Dipper, Mabel is easy to forgive someone but not her brother, which makes it kinda sweet for that sole reason.
* Considering the newspaper that appears in the ColdOpen, Dipper has finally gotten recognition from the public for investigating the supernatural phenomena of Gravity Falls, something he's wanted since the second episode of the series.
* Dipper and Pacifica bonding, and maybe even sharing [[ShipTease a moment or two]].
** Especially at the end, where they gleefully trash a carpet Pacifica was ''terrified'' of dirtying, to the point she would rather face the ghost than her parents' wrath.
** Earlier in the episode, [[ShipTease Pacifica hugs Dipper!]] That's right, the character we've come know as a giant AlphaBitch actually ''hugs'' someone! Sure, she tries to pay him off to forget that it happened, but that doesn't make it any less sweet, especially since even so she wants him to stick around at the party instead of going off to exorcise the ghost.
** When Dipper returns to the party after initially leaving with the ghost, Pacifica immediately cheers up and shouts "Dipper, you came back!" It's really adorable and it makes [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech what follows]] [[TearJerker so much worse]].
** When Dipper again returns to the party, he finds out that to placate the Lumberjack a Northwest must open the gate and let commoners join the annual party. Dipper instantly thinks of Pacifica, even after telling her she is no different than her parents he still subconsciously sees her as better, then after seeing how down she is about finding the truth of her family he apologizes for earlier, and tells her she can be better than her parents and that it's not to late to prove it.
* Pacifica defying her father and getting some CharacterDevelopment. Specifically, she does what she does not just because it's the right thing to do in that moment alone, but as a start to changing her whole lifestyle because she knows and is remorseful for her family's terrible crimes. As she says, "Our family name is ''broken!'' And I'm gonna ''fix it!''"
** Also, what prompts her to do that to begin with; seeing [[ShipTease Dipper]] petrified. Note that he's the only one she displays this level of concern for (and considering [[BecauseYouWereNiceToMe what he did for her]], this isn't at all surprising).
** Because of the above, the Lumberjack Ghost telling Pacifica she isn't like other Northwests.
*** As this happens, you can see she's smiling. She clearly feels much better after letting the townsfolk into the party and giving the ghost justice.
* Grenda of all people getting a love interest.
** Plus, the fact that once Marius shows interest in Grenda, neither Candy nor Mabel show a hint of jealousy and are nothing but happy for her.
* Dipper's only condition to help the Northwests with their ghost problem? Party tickets for his sister and her friends. Dipper will do anything for Mabel's happiness, even working for people he openly dislikes.
** Made more sweet when you realize that Mabel got him into helping the Northwests and get tickets because it's ''Candy and Grenda's dream''. Mabel cares a lot about her friends and Dipper can't say 'no' to those adorable, expecting, geeky gals.
-->'''Candy and Grenda:''' ''DREAAAAAM~''
* It's minor and mostly overshadowed by the reveal of the coming apocalypse however as the end of the episode shows [=McGucket=] really has managed to recover (at least) a reasonable amount of his former competence and sanity.
** Not only that but when Dipper sees [=McGucket=], he smiles at the old coot and asks him what's up. You can definitely tell they are becoming good friends, assuming they have not done so already.
* The lumberjack ghost rejoicing in seeing Gravity Falls' common-folk finally entering the gates of Northwest Manor; all he wanted was the well deserved reward the Northwests have negated to those that made them great in the first place, and finally getting peace.
-->[[DiedHappilyEverAfter "I feel... Lumber... justice"]]

[[AC:Not What He Seems]]
* Even though it's clearly a setup for everything to go horribly wrong, watching the twins playing with fireworks and water balloons with Stan was really sweet.
* Its finally revealed what Stan has been working on for the last thirty years, why he went to all the trouble of managing the portal. What could justify all the lengths he went to? After stealing radioactive waste from the government, lying to the people he loved and cared about, years of work, planning and scheming, climaxing in him risking potentially destroying the entire world, and all for what? To bring his long lost twin brother back home. Stan risked everything out of love for his brother.
* An overlooked moment: when Dipper is about to push the button to stop the portal, Stan bursts in and begs him not to press it. Dipper actually turns and demands to know why he should trust his uncle when he could've pressed the button instead. Despite his (legitimate) reasons to distrust Stan and go for the pragmatic decision-- push the button first, hear the explanation later-- Dipper gives his Grunkle a chance to explain. If the countdown weren't so close, and the last anomaly hadn't interrupted Stan, the explanation may have placated him.
* "Grunkle Stan… ''I trust you''." Despite everything, including the accrued evidence the twins have found against Stan, Mabel listens to her gut and trusts that her Grunkle really does love and care for her and makes the right decision in not axing the portal.
* Even though it nearly ruined all of Stan's efforts to bring his brother/The Author home, Soos' genuine desire to protect the kids was really precious.
-->''Sorry Mr. Pines, if that is your real name, but I have a new mission: PROTECTING THESE KIDS!!''
** Earlier, when Soos is guarding the vending machine and Dipper and Mabel start pushing past him, he still does nothing that might hurt them, only trying to block it and pleading with them to stop.
* The end credits scene, that shows a young Stan and his brother, on a swing-set, quietly watching the sunset.
* In an odd way, Stan's cussing in the security footage is this as well. He gives a nonsensical exclamation before specifically noting that his being alone means he can let rip with the foul language. This means that he actually takes the thought and time to censor himself around the twins.
* The fact that while Soos was guarding the vending machine, he mentions wanting Stan to adopt him. It says a lot that he sees Stan as a father figure, especially considering his own [[DisappearedDad issues with his father...]]
* Even after they crash his Humvee, getting him trapped under a tree branch, Trigger still feels bad for the twins, thinking they're trusting the wrong guy.

[[AC: A Tale of Two Stans]]
* This bit when Stanford finds out what he missed during the 30 years he was gone:
--> '''Ford:''' Stan, you didn't tell me there where children down here!
--> '''Stan:''' They're your family, Poindexter. Shermy's grandkids.
--> '''Ford:''' ''I''... I have a niece and a nephew?
* Dipper instantly forgiving Stan for lying to him, and Stan acknowledging his own mistakes.
* Dipper (especially Dipper's) and Mabel's joy at meeting Grunkle Ford. Ford himself is happy to meet Mabel and even gets along with her. It's a nice departure from the bitter, angry man he's been since stepping out of the portal.
* The little, short-lived moment at the end of the episode where Stan and Ford look at each other in a mirror. Stan reflects on how old they've become, and Ford jokes that Stan looks like their father. They share a laugh and a nudge. They're still brothers, despite their bitterness towards one another.
** Despite Stan telling Ford to stay away from Dipper and Mabel and considering them [[IHaveNoSon the only family he has left]], the expression on his face as he walks away indicates he's still sad about ''something'' between them.
* Even after several years isolated from each other, Stanford still trusted Stanley more than anyone else.
* Stan describes their father as being not one to be fazed by things. Said father's first words when he hears Stanford is so smart he might get into a top tier university? "I'm impressed." Stanford's proud smile only adds to it. Unfortunately, this was most likely a manipulative tactic to keep Stanford on track, as he was only impressed on what Ford could do for ''[[ItsAllAboutMe him]]''.
* A retrospective one, that makes Stan's pride in his overpriced tourist trap so much sweeter. It's made obvious throughout the episode that Stan's life was a colossal failure, and he turns up at Gravity Falls with barely a dime to his name. His attempts to make money by giving tours of his brother's lab looks to be going horribly wrong... until he tells a joke, whips up a funny exhibit and pulls out the charm. As the tourists all laugh you can just see it in his eyes, the dawning realization that he's finally found something he's good at, which he had used for the next 3 decades, not only to make a real good fortune, but also to capitalize it as a means of getting Ford back. Stan also admitted that he had to lie to the entire town (including Soos and the kids) to ensure that no one would be in danger as he couldn't risk them sabotaging his mission to get Ford back.
-->"Finally, I'd found something I was good at, for once, being a liar and a cheat paid off."
* Ford's exploration of Gravity Falls. As a child, he wondered if there was anywhere on Earth were a 'six-fingered freak' like him belonged. The eagerness with which he pursued the mysteries of the town shows that he found it.
-->'''Narrator!Ford:''' There were anomalies everywhere! And the more I looked, the more I found!\
''(montage of writing about the hanging cliffs, finding the shapeshifter, catching flying eyeballs and writing about gnomes)''\
'''Past!Ford:''' Fascinating. And what did you say your name was?\
'''Gnome:''' Shmebulock…senior!\
'''Narrator!Ford:''' It was finally a place where I felt at home.
* Several fans wondered if Dipper was going to mistrust Mabel after she ignored him in the previous episode, but it turned out not to be the case; he realizes he was wrong before, and is as close to Mabel as before. Of course, it's possible hearing about how Stan and his brother fell out might've had something to do with it, not to mention the fact that the end of the episode absolutely ''screams'' foreshadowing.
* During the confrontation that led to Ford getting sucked into the portal, the Stan twins apologized to each other over their strikes. Ford got concerned when Stanley was burned and when Ford started getting sucked in, Stanley's immediate response was to try to help. Despite everything the two of them had been through, even in their darkest moments they still cared about each other.
* "Those bullies may have been right about us not making many friends, but when push comes to shove, you only really need one."
* A brief one, but as you see Stan throughout his successful years of running the Mystery Shack, you notice a few things [[MeaningfulBackgroundEvent around his mirror.]] It starts off pretty dower, with a newspaper indicating Stanley faked his death, then we see stuff like a picture of [[TearJerker him and Ford as kids]], then a picture of Dipper and Mabel, as well a sticker on his mirror that says "You're the best.", no points for who put that there. A very noteworthy detail is that you can see a picture of Stan labeled [[ItsAllAboutMe "Employee of the Month"]], then in the next cut, it's replaced with a picture of Soos that says [[PetTheDog "Employee of the Year"]].
* Stan and Ford shouting "Pines! Pines! Pines!" like Stan, Dipper and Mabel did in Scary-Oke.
-->'''kid!Stan and Ford:''' Kings of New Jersey! Kings of New Jersey!
* In retrospect, Mabel saying that Ford's six-fingered handshake is a whole finger friendlier than normal, because Ford had always been made fun of for having six fingers and this is probably the first time he's been ''complimented'' on it.
** Not to mention Stan calling a high-five a "high-six" when he high-fives Ford.
* A subtle moment: when Dipper feels like barfing from excitement at having met the Author, Mabel runs over to him and rubs his back. Considering this was meant to be a joke scene and there was no need for this little extra it shows the dedication the show has to reinforcing the twins' relationship.
* When the Stan twins are looking at themselves in the mirror and laughing about Ford's comment of Stan looking like their father, and Stan's reaction to it. It's a sweet little moment that shows their relationship has a chance to recover, even if the conversation that they have immediately after their laugh is less than friendly.

[[AC: Dungeons, Dungeons, and more Dungeons]]
* The beginning seems to imply that both Stans at least agree that Ford should stay away from Mabel and Dipper for their own safety, when he turns down answering Dipper's questions, and Stan then pointing out how dangerous his work is.
--> '''Dipper''': Great Uncle Ford! 'You need any help with that? I learned all about these creatures in your journal, and I think I know how-
--> '''Ford''': No. I'm sorry Dipper. On the dark weird road I travel, I'm afraid you cannot follow. [[MoodWhiplash Well, call me for dinner!]]
* When Ford breaks that above policy when he sees that Dipper is a fellow DD&D player, literally dropping everything he was doing to play with Dipper, validating Dipper's enjoyment of the game just when Dipper was starting to feel insecure about liking it. Dipper and Ford being dorks together and genuinely enjoying themselves is ''adorable''.
** Mirrored by Stan, Mabel and Grenda geeking out over the ''Duck-tective'' finale, spending the whole day beforehand shopping and preparing for it. Stan at no point makes any kind of crack about this and just genuinely enjoys himself. Like Dipper and Stanford, it's adorable.
* Grunkle Stan permitting Dipper to spend quality time with Stanford after demanding to Stanford to stay away from the kids. Probably as long as it's not anything dangerous.
* When Dipper remarks he's glad that Stanford doesn't make fun of him, Mabel laughs it off, but she turns solemn when sees the serious expression on Dipper's face and realizes he has been wounded by her past insensitivity.
* Dipper actually finding someone who fully respects him.
* Ford sternly suggesting to Stanley that he could have fun with the DD&D game if he tried it. It's gruff admonishment but one can read it as his way of reaching out to Stanley.
* Ford trusting Dipper enough to tell him about the dimensional rift that was formed after Stan opened the portal.
** A smaller one has him acknowledge that Stan really did save him, but it still resulted in the effects he was afraid the machine would cause.
* Dipper calling Ford "great uncle", which is really the first acknowledgement that Ford is part of the family.
* Stan telling Mabel he's "so proud and so confused right now" after she casts the centaurtaur, which seems a very fatherly way to show that in spite of Mabel's general weirdness, he's deeply proud of her unique way of thinking and encourages her to express it freely. It really shows the strong bond that has been growing between the two.

[[AC: The Stanchurian Candidate]]
* Stan almost crying from sheer happiness on being recognized as a hero by Dipper and Mabel with a hand-knit sash. For a man who spent nearly all his life estranged from his family, it means a lot to finally get some concrete reward for all the sacrifices he's made for it.
* A very minor one, but when we see Wendy's friends stand behind Stan at the checkout line in the store, we get to see that, similar to Soos and Melody, Robbie and Tambry are still together.
* Dipper and Mabel's reaction to Stan requesting a bigger tombstone than Ford: they nod. Up until this point, Dipper and Mabel have acted pretty ambivalent to Stan and Ford's feud. But now, they finally realize how much recognition means to Stan and decide to act in his favor.
* Tyler's reaction to winning the election is quite sweet, with an awestruck "Got it!"
* Stan immediately ditches his stump speech and goes into full PapaWolf mode at the sight of Dipper and Mabel in danger. The first thing he does upon rescuing them is give them a big hug.

[[AC: The Last Mabelcorn]]
* Wendy, Candy and Grenda going to extreme lengths to get the unicorn hair and cheer up Mabel after her HeroicBSOD.
** All the more when you consider it was Wendy's idea: she says Mabel is the nicest gal she ever knew and convinces them to fight dirty if they have to because Mabel deserves that hair dammit. This despite the facts that she said she only came along to protect the three younger kids from the dangers of the forest (which is heartwarming enough in itself) and she hasn't believed in unicorns since she was about five.
* Dipper and Ford making up after Dipper got paranoid and thought Ford was working with Bill.
** More than that, Stanford doesn't get angry at Dipper, and instead, works to calm him down and reassure him, while revealing his own sordid history with Bill.
** He tells Dipper straight up that if that had indeed been Bill, he would have done great.
** The whole episode shows Ford really bonding with the twins, and learning to trust them.
* What was it that finally convinced Ford that Bill couldn't be trusted? The incident where [=McGucket=] was nearly sucked into the portal and traumatized.
** Not only that, but one of Ford's thoughts when Dipper puts the helmet on his head? "I'm sorry, Fiddleford."
* During the mind-shielding, one of Dipper's thoughts is "I miss Tyrone". Sad, but nice to see he still thinks of him.
* Mabel's friends defending her good nature against the unicorns (which doubles as a TakeThatAudience).
--->'''Wendy''': "Mabel's a straight up saint, you judgmental hoofbag!"
* Oddly enough, the two Unicorns that come to reveal to Mabel that the whole "pure of heart" thing is a fluke. They actually take the time to call out their friend on how big of an asshole she's being.
* Ford assuring Mabel that she's a good person after she brings back the unicorn hair saying that she protected her family. Exactly what she needed to hear after her incident with said unicorn.

[[AC:Roadside Attraction]]
* Even though it lead to really negative consequences, the fact that Stan really seemed eager and willing to give Dipper advice about women really says a lot about how much their relationship has grown since the start of the series. And as Dipper mentions later, it did at least help him feel more confident; he just needs time to learn his limits.
* Candy going beet red while talking about her crush.
-->'''Candy:''' It starts with a 'D'... and ends with an 'ipper'!
** And Mabel, rather than finding it weird that Candy likes her brother, squees in delight and instantly starts shipping them.
* After his disastrous "date" with Candy and leading her on, Dipper creates a homemade pamphlet like the ones Candy's been collecting - one that advertises how sorry he is for hurting her feelings. She immediately forgives him.
-->'''Candy:''' Plus, after seeing you flee that spider like a baby, I kinda lost interest.
-->'''Dipper:''' (''laughing'') Yeah, I deserved that.
* Grenda and Mabel trying to help Candy and fix her up with Dipper, and immediately rushing to comfort her when she gets her heart broken. Mabel and Dipper are normally close as can be, but when she finds out he hurt Candy, she does ''not'' hesitate to let him have it. These girls really ''are'' best friends.
* The opening of the episode: Mabel accidentally knocks over Dipper's box of Wendy mementos she packed up for the trip, not realizing just what it was. Rather than tease him as you'd expect, she and Soos show concern for how he hasn't moved on and give him decent advice on how to do so.
* The fact that Stan, after hiding his burn for so long, goes shirtless and allows Dipper to see it. Of course, this may be because the narrative no longer needs to hide it, but it's still rather sweet.
* Soos gets to go on a road trip with his ParentalSubstitute Stan.

[[AC:Dipper and Mabel vs. The Future]]
* The scene in the beginning where Dipper and Mabel are excited to grow up the next week, act silly together and eagerly plan out their birthday. A nice lighthearted moment [[DownerEnding before the rest of the episode happens.]]
* Ford seems to absolutely love how excited Dipper is about learning that extraterrestrials are real and envys his sense of wonder and discovery.
* Dipper saving Ford's life from the alien security droids, not because he had to push his fear aside with his intelligence like he was told to do, but because he loves Ford just that much that he was willing to risk his own life for him.
* Ford's offer to Dipper: Stay in Gravity Falls as Ford's apprentice, living with and learning from him with all the excitement and wonder that entails. Not just because Dipper is family, but because Ford sees Dipper as truly destined for great things.
** Note especially that he says it ''before'' Dipper saves his life, meaning Dipper earned it just with his own personality.
* Ford, despite unintentionally disregarding the full extent of Mabel's emotional welfare, clearly does believe his niece is a strong-willed girl. His rationalization that she'll be fine with Dipper's choice is said not with disdain but admiration for her "magnetic personality."
* Stan's little chat to cheer up Mabel after her party efforts fall flat is really sweet even if it all goes to hell later after she overhears Dipper accept Ford's offer. Also, his calling her "Pumpkin" is truly 'D'aww'-worthy.
** Even during what happens next, Dipper realizes that he ended up hurting Mabel's feelings, and his remorse at failing to make her feel better just shows how much he still cares about her. He even considers that staying in Gravity Falls might not be worth it if it means leaving her.

[[AC: Weirdmageddon Part 1]]
* Abuelita encouraging Soos to go out helping people, even after she's been turned into an armchair by a wave of weirdness. Three days later, he reveals to Dipper and Wendy that he's been helping people all around the wasteland, to the point that there may or may not be folk songs written about him.
* Dipper and Wendy finding each other in the Gravity Falls Mall - his first reaction is to run up and hug her, which Wendy gladly returns.
* With Ford unable to help him and the Journals burnt to a crisp, Dipper's mind is focused one thing before he can really save the world: finding Mabel.
* Dipper never considers the possibility that Mabel may have given the rift willingly to Bill, only believing that it broke by accident. Doubles as a TearJerker with the DramaticIrony.
* Wendy's YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre speech to Dipper, convincing him that if he pulled off crazy stuff before in the summer, then he can do it again.
* Dipper manages to get Gideon to pull a HeelFaceTurn by relating his experiences with Wendy towards Gideon, telling him that he can't ''make'' Mabel love him - he has to make ''himself'' someone worthy of loving.
** Gideon being willing to make a HeroicSacrifice to this end.
-->'''Gideon:''' Dipper...will you tell her what I did?
** Also, the way he convinces Gideon. Although Gideon has done many bad things to him, and despite the fact he sided with Bill and spent the episode hunting him, Dipper doesn't go for TheReasonYouSuckSpeech, but gives him sincere and heartfelt advice.
** What's more, when Gideon asks the above question, Dipper ''immediately'' says, "Of course."
* Gideon's prisonmates to a complete degree in this episode. While certain episodes have reflected how their friendliness and camaraderie towards Gideon is slowly changing him for the better, it's his team's unflagging support that allows him to eventually pull a HeelFaceTurn agains Bill.
-->'''Ghost Eyes:''' "[[ArmorPiercingQuestion Remind me again why you're keeping your girlfriend locked up in a prison bubble]]?"
** The sheer fact that the care the prisonmates have for Gideon is ''not'' one-sided as would have been expected. When Wendy kicks Ghost Eyes' butt, Gideon is distraught and cries out "Ghost Eyes! My hench-angel!" Awww...
* A small one, but when Bill inflicts horrific punishment on Preston, [[PetTheDog Pacifica's frightened mother hugs Pacifica close to her]]. While not excusing her role in Pacifica's neglect, it's nice to see that unlike Preston, she ''does'' actually love her daughter.
* A rather creepy example, but Bill shows a friendlier side towards his fellow Nightmare Realm friends who are just as AxCrazy as him.

[[AC:Weirdmageddon 2: Escape From Reality]]
* During the "Fantasy vs. Reality" trial, how does Dipper counter Mabel's bad memories? With positive ones. After a girl stuck gum in Mabel's hair on school picture day, Dipper shaves his head in solidarity with his sister. When Dipper didn't get any Valentines' cards one year, Mabel used her cards to make one big one for [[OverlyNarrowSuperlative "My Favorite Brother"]]. And he reminds her of all the troubles they've faced over the summer, and how they overcame them ''together''.
** Keep in mind, of the two bad memories shown in detail, only one was Mabel's. The second one, about Valentine's day, was technically ''Dipper's'', as it was him that left the room in tears. This shows that despite her sometimes apparent selfishness, she does consider Dipper's feelings as important as her own.
** Or it's implied that this ''was'' one of Mabel's bad memories - seeing Dipper upset is that painful for her.
* The only encouragement Mabel needed to leave Mabeland - and face her worst fear, growing up - was the promise that Dipper would be beside her.
* "Awkward sibling hug?" "''Sincere'' sibling hug."
** "No, don't do the pats!!" "Pat! Pat!"
* During the trial, Dipper tells Mabel he values her too much to take Ford's apprenticeship. Even after they escape, when he's no longer under any obligation to do so, he tells her he'll stick with her no matter what because she's his sister. It's a credit to the writers that they found a way to keep the Mystery Twins together without Dipper giving up his dreams.
** Even better, Mabel, in [[AllTakeAndNoGive contrast]] to some of her previous actions on the show, tells Dipper that she appreciates him breaking her out of her fantasy, but that if he wants to be Ford's apprentice without her, [[CharacterDevelopment he has her blessing]].
* This jewel:
-->'''Dipper:''' I don't know what's gonna happen in the future. But whatever it is, you don't need to fear, because we'll do it together.
** Followed by this:
-->'''Mabel:''' You mean it? You're really gonna come back with me?
-->'''Dipper:''' [[CallBack Yes. Definitely. Absolutely.]]
* Where has Grunkle Stan been all this time? Gathering as many survivors as he could to give them refuge in the Mystery Shack.
* The first thing Mabel does when the rest of the gang show up is offer them anything they want, showing that getting everything she wants isn't enough for the LotusEaterMachine to keep her from wanting to leave; everyone else has to get it too. And she says the place wasn't truly perfect until they came.
** Soos and Wendy's respective wishes count too. Soos gets to play catch with his dad -- or at least a representation of him -- just once while Wendy's, at its heart, is seeing all the friends she saw get snagged by Bill safe and sound and doing the same crazy stuff they always do.
* It's subtle, but Chutzpah the Manotaur and the Multi-Bear have presumably been working in Stan's refuge, getting past their hatred of each other from "Dipper Vs. Manliness".
* In a sadistic but heartwarming way Pacifica is in that group of survivors. Her abusive parents? Nowhere to be seen. No matter the circumstances, it's still nice to know that Pacifica is in relative safety while her parents aren't.

[[folder: The Series Finale]]

* After finding Stan, the twins run up to give him a hug, once which he gladly returns. Then Soos and even Wendy join in on the hug, happy to see that Stan is okay.
* Ford's relief on seeing the twins alive and attacking Bill. Although it segues into an OhCrap moment, it shows that Ford may be self-centered at times and absorbed in his work, but he ''does'' care about his family.
* Said by Ford: [[SoProudOfYou "You're our hero, Stanley."]]
* In a sadistic, twisted way of heartwarming but Bill's little song "We'll meet again" and the WeCanRuleTogether speech to Ford. Even though Bill was a FalseFriend and only pretended to be Ford's friend it is kind of his own sadistic definition of a friend and the closest he ever came to being nice to a main character.
* Mabel's scrapbook triggering Stan's memories, helping restore them over a period of a week.
* Stanford asking Stanley if he would give him a second chance.
** Stanley smiling and asking (as a CallBack to their childhood) if they will find treasure and babes, and Ford laughing that it is highly probable.
** Stanford has kept a photo of him and Stanley taken from when they were children, this whole time. Over thirty years, over countless dimensions, he still thought about and loved his brother.
* Stan making Soos his successor to run the Mystery Shack, the "new Mr. Mystery."
** And in the epilogue Melody is seen wearing his old uniform working the counter. Looks like this long distance relationship just got an upgrade.
** The ''first'' thing Soos shows to the visitors is a sculpture of Stan, the founder.
* Stan and Ford making up and finally going on their around the world trip in the Stan o'War II to do what both love (women and money for Stan, dealing with supernatural anomalies for Ford).
* Dipper and Wendy trading hats when the former leaves Gravity Falls. Before, Wendy tells Dipper that he means a lot to her. While the RelationshipUpgrade never happened, you can't deny that these two have developed a ''bond''.
* Stan and Ford threatening the bus driver to get him to let Waddles go with Mabel.
** Keep in mind, Ford and Waddles haven't interacted at all, and the guy hasn't interacted much with Mabel (onscreen anyways). But he still knows how much she loves Waddles and he isn't letting anyone split them up.
* Wendy's reunion with her family after the town has been freed from Bill's petrification.
* Pacifica's parents look like they're about to run to hug Pacifica before they're shoved aside by Blubs to get to Durland.
** Also, when the zodiac group is joining hands to banish Bill, Pacifica is hesitant to take [=McGucket=]'s hand because she's grossed out. Preston, in probably the nicest tone we've ever heard him use over the course of the series, encourages her to do what nobody in the Northwest family has ever done. For a character who's tone and attitude to Pacifica has only ever been "expectant", it's nice to see him do something actually fatherly for her, even if it won't help the family's reputation.
* In a dark kind of way, despite Stan's KickTheDog moment by refusing to help Ford with his plan to stop Bill and even [[JerkassHasAPoint pointing out that it was his fault Bill came into their dimension in the first place,]] the fact that he still knew his brother's role in it rather than being LockedOutOfTheLoop shows that Ford at least trusted Stan enough to let him know about his greatest mistake in spite of their strained relationship, showing that he still trusted him in some form.
* Everyone who shows up at Dipper and Mabel's 13th birthday party have had their lives changed by the twins for the better. Amongst other things, had the twins never gone to Gravity Falls, Stan would have continued his search for Ford and without Weirdmageddon to patch up their relationship they would likely have become estranged if he had still succeeded, Soos would still be living with his abuelita and wouldn't be with Melody, Wendy would still be in a bad relationship with Robbie, Pacifica would still be a brat trapped in the abusive relationship with her parents, Gideon would still be evil, and [=McGucket=] would still be an insane kook living in the junkyard.
* At Dipper and Mabel's 13th birthday party, Pacifica not only shows up as a guest, but she wrapped their gifts for them ''by herself'', complete with glue stains and tape on her hands.
** More significant when you remember that the Northwest family is no longer "rich" - though still wealthier than most - meaning that Pacifica has already dedicated herself to doing work the honest way for the rest of her life rather than lie, cheat, and steal like the past Northwests. Plus without their former wealth and status, the whole motivation her AbusiveParents had for abusing her is gone completely, meaning she's much better off than she was before.
** Also, the presents themselves? A golf club for Mabel and a DVD of "Ghost Harassers" for Dipper. The events of "The Golf War" and "Northwest Mystery Mansion" have clearly stuck with her.
** Yet ''another'' heartwarming part of it is a call-back to Mabel's oft-repeated seething "Pacifica!" from when they were rivals... only this time, Mabel says it in a laughing, fond tone.
* Gideon's finalized HeelFaceTurn... even if he can still be an asshole sometimes, it's clear he's changed for the better. He even attended the twins' 13th birthday party and does not harass Mabel. In fact, he's nothing short of thankful for the twins' act of kindness towards him. He also signs the note Wendy gives to Dipper alongside the other major characters.
** It's a small step, but Gideon's mother is seen with him at the party and instead of frantically vacuuming, she's smiling for the first time. Maybe things are looking up for the Gleeful family, and it looks she can rest easy knowing her son is ready to get his life together and decide to be normal.
** And moral dubiousness of their actions in the scene aside, it's nice to see that Gideon's prison buddies still love him and are still watching out for him.
* Among the scenes in the credits include Mabel warming up to Ford with hand turkeys and Old Man [=McGucket=] fishing with his son.
* After the fandom worried about them for two seasons, Dipper's clones 3 and 4 are shown perfectly fine in one of the credits shots, camping with raincoats to protect them from getting wet. Aww!
** On that note, guess who else makes an appearance in the credits? President Quentin Trembley, still roaming the Gravity Falls forests on his horse.
* The moment the twins blow out the candles on their cake.
--> '''Wendy:''' I now officially declare you [[CallBack technically teenagers]]! Welcome to angst and acne forever!\
'''Wendy, Nate, Lee, Thompson, Tambry, & Robbie:''' One of us, one of us!
* Stan tearing up as he says goodbye to the kids in his own sweet, grumpy way.
* Stanford and [=McGucket=] reuniting for the first time in years.
** [=McGucket=]'s line after Stanford asks where they went wrong and apologizes is equally heartwarming.
--> I tried forgettin'. Maybe I should try ''forgivin''. Come here, old friend.
--> (He and Ford embrace.)
* Wendy's friends immediately nominate her as "ice" and a person who shows no fear in the face of danger.
* Preston doing his ''one'' heroic act by encouraging Pacifica to hold [=McGucket=]'s hand to complete the Cipher circle. Interpret it however you want, but there wasn't anything left for him to fight for.
** Also, his exact words to her being "do the one thing nobody in our family has ever done". It may have taken an apocalypse to do it, but it seems that he's finally accepted that Pacifica is different from the Northwests of the past, him included, and actually encourages her to embrace this fact.
* Shandra allowing Toby to be her co-anchor after everything reverts to normal, even calling him by his "Bodacious T" nickname. He returns the favor by not hitting on her, which shows respect.
* The one new character in the episode is the bus driver who takes the kids back home, voiced by none other than Creator/KyleMacLachlan. Yes, they actually managed to slip an appearance by the lead star of [[Series/TwinPeaks one of the show's biggest influences]] under the wire. And Alex Hirsch has revealed that the extremely busy [=MacLachlan=] took the part thanks to a personal letter he wrote about how much ''Twin Peaks'' meant to him, shortly before it would have been too late to have him record it. He also says the intent with the casting was to assure the audience that Dipper and Mabel were in good hands as they go off to whatever future awaits them beyond the show.
* Stan's face during the utterly heartbreaking portion of the goodbyes where Mabel is trying to shake off Waddles is bad, but is immediately followed by a moment when he furiously insists that he had to live with Waddles for the whole summer, so now Mr. and Mrs. Pines have to too. While it's covered up by the usual Grunkle Stan bluster, it's so clear that he loves Mabel intensely and hates to see her sad, and is willing to go the extra mile to make her happy... like threaten the bus driver. And it's not just him, Ford backs him up threatening the driver with his gun.
* Stan's face as the bus leaves is heartbreaking, until Ford taps him on the shoulder to remind him that he's not alone anymore.
** As the bus drives away, some gnomes, manotaurs, the Multibear, and Octavia the mutant cow stand alongside the road to wave goodbye, not only to the kids, but to the audience as well.
* Pacifica reaching out to hug her parents and them returning the gesture until being knocked down by Blubs after they are released from Bill's petrification.
* Dipper and Wendy telling each other how much they mean to each other as they fist-bump and exchange hats as something to remember the other by. While Dipper DidNotGetTheGirl, and possibly is not over her completely, these last few moments really signify how much Dipper and Wendy's friendship has grown (as Dipper is okay with being JustFriends while he might still pine for her), practically rivalling Dipper's relationship with Mabel.
* The final credits of the episode is both heartwarming and tear jerking for the fans: It features the off-screen moments with Dipper and Mabel spending moments with their friends and family, further highlighting the end of the series and how fans have loved the characters.
* The end credits feature [=McGucket=] swimming with his son.... and raccoon wife.
* Dipper opening the envelope from Wendy to find a paper signed by all of the people he met, even former enemies, like Gideon, Robbie and Pacifica.
** [[SequelHook "See you next summer!"]]
*** His final words and the final words of the series.
--->'''Dipper:''' If you've ever taken a roadtrip through the Pacific Northwest, you've probably seen a bumper sticker for a place called Gravity Falls. It's not on any maps, and most people have never heard of it. Some people think it's a myth. But if you're curious, don't wait. Take a trip. Find it. It's out there, somewhere in the woods... waiting.
* Among the pictures during the end credits is one of a tree with several hearts containing the names of Mabel and several of her love interests (Norman, Mermando, and Gabe). All three of them have been crossed out, but there is one last heart that reads 'Mabel + Mabel'. Mabel didn't succeed in finding true love in Gravity Falls but she learned to love herself.
* While the scene with memory-wiped Stan was devastating at first, there's still a small, sweet moment when Mabel runs up to him and hugs him and Stan, despite not remembering who she is, smiles and greets her warmly. Stan knowing who Waddles is may have been the first hint to the characters that his memories could potentially come back, but the fact that he was automatically affectionate towards Mabel could've been a hint, too.
* During the end credits pictures, you can see that Ford isn't wearing his coat and weapon strap in the ones that show him. It's a sign that he's finally at peace and bonding with his family.
