----
* From the pilot episode:
** "Well done, Mr. Matthews". Although it would not be Creator/WilliamDaniels' only appearance, this was the best way to send off the new series.
** The first time Cory and Topanga appear on the show: Riley and Maya try to sneak out to the subway, only for Cory to be waiting outside of the window for them to do just that. He proceeds to tell Riley that, whilst she's still living in her father's world, [[DareToBeBadass she needs to make it her own and he wants her to do that]]; when Riley asks if her parents will still be there for when that happens, Topanga walks in and reassures Riley that they'll always be there for her.
** There are little things that tie this show to its forerunner, like the return of the Michael Jacobs vanity plate, the way that Riley gets into trouble and ponders life's mysteries just like her daddy, or the fact that [[DistaffCounterpart Maya is basically a female Shawn]]. Each one is a tug on the heartstrings of ''Series/BoyMeetsWorld'' fans everywhere.
** The fact that Cory became a teacher just like Mr. Feeney.
** Riley sticking by Maya when Maya tries to push her away:
-->'''Riley:''' If this is my world now, then the first person I want in it is you.
* At the end of "Girl Meets Boy," Cory buys Maya a smartphone like her friends have and a set of colored pencils so she can draw whenever she feels like it. The little smile on her face at receiving the gifts is just adorable.
* Farkle gets one in "Girl Meets Sneak Attack" when he stumbles into detention and Cory tells him that it's not for him. He tells Cory that if his friends are there, then he belongs there.
* Topanga's motherly wisdom in "Girl Meets Father."
** The way that the Matthews family shows their support for Maya when she reveals her past to them.
** At the end of the episode, Cory proposes a father/daughter dance and dances with ''both'' Riley and Maya.
* Maya returning the locket in "Girl Meets the Truth," even though she liked having it so much because of the picture of the happy family inside. Her last line to the little girl who owned it is especially beautiful:
-->'''Maya:''' Never lose this.
* Topanga asking Cory if he misses "the other Topanga," and Cory saying no, because he's always known right where she was. Even though she's a successful woman, she's only a successful woman because she hasn't changed herself to get there; she's still the weird granola girl who had weird hair and kissed Cory against his locker and won his heart.
** From the same episode; Topanga recites Feeny's old words to them - fifteen years, she's still got it...
* In "Girl Meets Maya's Mother", Maya draws Riley with lots of hearts.
* In "Girl Meets Terror," Lucas helping Farkle overcome his fear of being hit by a softball during gym; afterwards, the two go trick or treating together.
* When Smackle asks Farkle if he'd still be attracted to Riley and Maya if they weren't beautiful, Farkle responds by admitting he'd never really realized they were beautiful.
* At the end of "Girl Meets the Forgotten," Cory gives a speech on the importance of teachers. By the time he's done, the cafeteria is empty except for Harley, who says "I appreciate you, Baboon."
** Harley Keiner being proud of his job as the school janitor, stating how well he knows all the kids. Keep in mind this is the same guy who, in Boy Meets Would, used to stuff his schoolmates in their lockers and threaten to rip their ears off for the slightest offenses. After spending so many years (he did repeat grades, after all) making high school kids' lives miserable, he's now making high school kids' lives better.
** Geralyn stating that she always gives Maya extra food to take home.
** Riley thanking Topanga for all the hard work she does.
* "Girl Meets Flaws" has so many it might as well be called Crowning Episode of Heartwarming:
** The interaction between Cory and Harley, full stop. Harley even says it was Cory's courage that changed their relationship, and Cory states that yes, people are capable of change.
*** Note the revelation that Cory helped Harley get his job.
** Branching off that, one of the awards is the "Joseph T. R. Epstein Award" aka Joey "The Rat" Epstein. Meaning either he turned his life around or Cory got an award named after him. Either way, it still counts
** Riley hugging Farkle the moment he tells her what happened.
** Lucas defending Farkle to Billy, the person who bullied him.
** The lack of hesitation and speed with which Riley and Maya build a landing spot out of safety mats for Farkle when they realize he's going to fall from the climbing rope.
** Billy admitting he's jealous of Farkle.
** Riley winning the "Spirit" award.
** Lucas saying that Farkle is his best friend and Farkle saying Lucas is his.
** Topanga picking up Ava and giving her a kiss, telling her never to change.
* Maya and Riley make a video for Lucas in "Girl Meets Friendship." It was a video message from Lucas's friends in Austin.
* In "Girl meets Popular", Topanga, who's dressed as a pink GenkiGirl, says that the pink GenkiGirl part of herself is the "part of her that [Cory] fell in love with."
* "Girl Meets Brother" has many sweet moments between Cory and Topanga as they went out on a date for their anniversary.
** The fact that Cory and Topanga, now in their thirties, are still in love enough to be sexually active together. What other couple - apart from Gomez and Morticia - can say that after over a decade of marriage, love, arguments, everything?!
** Everything Auggie says about Riley in the same episode at the beginning, as well as the "Pirate Adventure" playtime with Riley, Maya and Auggie, reeks of this, esp. for older sisters who have little brothers.
* Just the ''promos'' for "Girl Meets Home for the Holidays" are filled with them, but that's to be expected with it being a Christmas episode featuring the returns of Shawn Hunter and Cory's parents Amy and Alan, along with the now-teenage Josh Matthews.
** From the actual episode: Topanga revealing that she used all of Amy's recipes to make Christmas dinner, and Amy thanking her.
** When Cory and Shawn break away from their epic hug, you can see Shawn brushing at his eyes.
** Riley doing everything in her power to bring Cory and Shawn back together...and to help Maya bond with Shawn.
** Shawn inviting the entire family (and Maya) to come with him on his next business trip.
** Cory telling his father that he (Cory) had him (Alan) at his best, at which point Josh interjects that ''he's'' the one who has him at his best.
** Auggie and Uncle "Joshie." Auggie clearly adores his uncle, and Josh happily spends the majority of the episode playing with Auggie.
** Shawn mistaking Farkle for Minkus when he first sees him.
** Shawn reveals that he was with Cory and Topanga at the hospital the night Riley was born, and was the first person to hold her after them. He still remembers what Riley's time of birth, height and weight at birth were, showing just how much Cory's family means to him.
** Riley making Shawn actually look at her; he starts smiling, realizing that Riley's "Cory with Topanga's hair."
** Alan's words that sum up Cory's progress from Boy Meets World to now:
--> '''Alan:''' Good husband, good father, good son; good for you.
** When Shawn asks Cory what it's like to have kids:
--> '''Cory:''' Shawn, my life began when I had Riley.
** Topanga and Shawn are reunited; the first thing they do? Greet one another as "Mr. Cory" and "Mrs. Cory" and then ''glomp'' one another in a hug.
* Pretty much everything about the relationship between Shawn and Maya in "Girl Meets Master Plan".
** Shawn's entrance in the episode - he's sat on the Matthews' couch as Riley & Maya walk in through the front door & past Shawn, before Riley realizes he was there and asks if he's really there; when Shawn confirms it, they have a proper greeting that makes Shawn's awkwardness around the Matthews kids in his last appearance seem like a distant memory.
** When it's discovered that Cory gave Shawn a key to the apartment, Cory & Topanga have a little playful banter culminating in Cory admitting that Topanga has the key to his heart.
** When Katy finds out who Shawn is, she comments that Maya won't stop talking about him.
** TheReveal at the end: Katy did not forget it was Maya's birthday at all. In fact, the reason she took extra shifts at work was so she could afford the present that Maya wanted: a gold locket.
*** Then, even after taking the extra shifts, she is still $50 short, so Shawn pays the difference. Katy tells him she will pay him back and Shawn tells her she will do that by letting him take the picture of Katy giving Maya the locket.
*** It's also HeartwarmingInHindsight. In an earlier episode, Maya met another girl who had a similar locket, with a picture of ''her'' family in it. Maya had told her never to lose it. Maya will treasure her locket for the rest of her life. Count on it.
* The look on Lucas's face when he sees Riley walk in for their first date.
-->'''Lucas:''' Even though this just happened, there are some moments you know you're gonna remember forever. This is one of them.
* After Riley kisses Lucas, Farkle takes it as his cue to kiss Maya. She puts her hand up to block his face, but does that stop him? Nope! He proceeds to dramatically kiss the palm of her hand as though he was actually kissing her. Even ''she'' is impressed and moved as she looks at her hand after!
-->'''Maya:''' Not bad Farkle.
-->'''Farkle:''' Tell your friends!
* The ending scene of "Girl Meets Gravity". Cory has Mr. Feeny on speed dial!
** Even better: Feeny picks up the phone and knows it's Cory calling without checking the call display. Judging by his expression, it's happened before too.
* Mr. Feeny's brief appearance in "Girl Meets Pluto" - Shawn, Cory, & Topanga ask him if he has any advice for them; Feeny notes that it's been 15 years & the three of them are still together, he doesn't need to teach them anything.
** Maya telling Mr. Feeny that Cory's the best teacher, and that Cory said that Feeny was the best.
** Riley reassuring Maya that someday she'll have everything she wants.
** Albeit Cory tricked him, Shawn ''rushed'' to Cory and Topanga's apartment after being texted about a "life-and-death" situation. And when he thought Cory was dying, Shawn promised to do ''everything'' Cory wanted to do before he "died".
** Even more heartwarming, when Shawn first came into their apartment, his initial concern was for Topanga.
** Topanga buried a letter from Lauren -- just because she hoped that she and Cory would still be married and she hoped that she and Cory would still be married so that she could tear it up. Cory, at the revelation from the letter, looks so uncomfortable, but Topanga just tells the girls that Lauren liked him; she doesn't blame Cory for what happened.
*** More importantly? Topanga gets to give the figurative middle finger at Lauren too - Lauren tried to take Cory from her... and she lost; Topanga and Cory are happily married, parents, and, most importantly, ''still together.''
* Eric helping Riley and Maya resolve their fight and help the rest of the group deal with their insecurities in "Girl Meets Mr. Squirrels".
** Cory's unwavering belief that Eric will be able to help resolve their fight, despite things getting ''much'' worse before they get any better.
** Topanga comforting Maya about her height, mainly by pointing out that she's short, too. And she's a fully grown ''adult''.
* The ColdOpen, where Josh has driven all the way to New York from Philadelphia to open his NYU acceptance letter in front of his older brother, because he wants Cory to be proud of him. Of course, a lot of comedy exists in this scene as well, thanks to Maya.
** What Maya says to Josh in the NYU dorm after he tells her she doesn't really know him:
--->Yeah. You're right. I don't pay attention to anything you do. I don’t know that you drive from Philadelphia to New York, not even looking if you got into NYU, just so you can open your acceptance letter in front of your older brother because you love him and you want him to be proud of you. And…I see the way you are with Auggie, a little kid who looks up to you. Who you always have time for. And I know that even though you’d rather stay here with these girls, you’re going to walk Riley and me home, because that’s just the kind of guy you are. I like you.
** And then one of the college girls that Maya was worried would about losing Josh to sticks up for Maya.
* "Girl Meets Hurricane":
** The fact that Shawn and Angela are still such good friends even after their romantic relationship failed. She still trusts him above anyone else she knows, even Topanga, and he still cares deeply for her even though he's developing feelings for Katy.
** While Angela and Shawn talk, Riley begins to worry that things won't pan out between Shawn and Katy. Maya, who usually gives up and sulks at the drop of a hat, is the one to reassure her and talk her down.
** Chet Hunter's appearance at the end.
--->'''Chet''': [[SoProudOfYou That's my boy]].
* "Without Maya, I'd never unfold my hands." "Without Riley, I'd never come back."
* "Girl Meets Mr. Squirrels Goes to Washington":
** Eric is entered into a political race to become senator in order to make a corrupt politician look better. He doesn't realize this at first and is incredibly excited at the prospect of removing the politician from office in order to help out schools suffering from his decisions, even making Riley and her friends part of his campaign.
** Eric meets up with Harley at the school and after an awkward meeting the two get along like old friends, with Harley promising his vote and Eric showing faith that he does good in the school.
** During a debate with Eric and the politician Harley calls the students "my kids".
** Throughout the episode Eric has been getting support from a young man, TJ Murphy, who runs a website that specializes in exposing corruption. During the debate, TJ reveals himself to be Tommy, with a small montage of moments between him and Eric. Eric just looks awestruck at meeting him again while Tommy speaks up for Eric by describing exactly what he did for him by giving him up and making it clear that Eric was always in his heart. He then stays around to be part of Eric's campaign.
--->'''TJ:''' My name is TJ Murphy. Thomas Jonathan Murphy. Eric Matthews once knew me as...\
'''Eric:''' ''[[WhamLine Tommy?]]''\
'''TJ:''' (''smiles'') Hi, Eric.
*** Listen to the quaver in Eric's voice. You could tell not only that he never thought he'd ever run into the boy he gave up over 15 years ago, but of how proud he was that Tommy turned out so well.
*** Also, if you look in the background, you can see the dawning realization on Topanga's face as TJ says his full name, and by the time Eric realizes who TJ is, she is on the verge of tears but has the biggest smile on her face.
*** Add the fact that Eric's decision to let Tommy/TJ go ''was'' the best decision: TJ/Tommy makes it clear he ''was'' adopted by a loving family and that Eric sacrificed his own happiness for Tommy's sake. And it ''worked''. If you remember the episode, Alan told Eric that someday Tommy would understand why he was given up, and this right here proves Alan was right all along. And then there's the reunion part where Eric walks off the stage and just approaches TJ to see how far he's grown:
---->'''Eric''': Tommy... man.. look at you! …You grew up to be a good person!\
'''TJ''': *smiles* Yeah, I learned from some ''really good people''. *the two then embrace*
* "Girl Meets New Teacher":
** Mr. Turner telling Maya that Shawn was [[LikeASonToMe like a son to him]], and he still thinks of him that way.
** Riley and Maya thanking Cory for all of his work as their teacher, which prompts Cory and Topanga to do the same to Mr. Turner.
** The very fact that Mr. Turner not only survived his motorcycle accident in ''Boy Meets World'', but made a full recovery, married his nurse, AND went on to become Superintendent.
* Lucas and Farkle at the end of "Girl Meets Yearbook."
** And, earlier, what Maya says to Riley and Farkle to get them to continue being themselves again.
-->'''Maya''': I have no interest living in a world without Riley and Farkle. And I'm not going anywhere until you two come back, you hear me?
** Others may find Farkle difficult to deal with, but Lucas is genuinely distressed to see him being anything other than the best friend he knows and loves.
* "Girl Meets Semi-Formal"
** Eric and Jack reuniting for the first time in years, to their delight.
*** Furthermore, Eric doing his best to help Jack through his current crisis of self-doubt by bringing him to the school's dance.
** Jack's expressions of awe and wonder at discovering that Cory has a daughter.
** It's revealed that Eric and Rachel have kept in touch over the years, to the point that they talk to each other all the time. This prods Jack to tell Riley that she needs to keep her friends around for as long as she can, as he notes that keeping Eric around was the best choice he ever made.
* "Girl Meets I Am Farkle":
** Maya, Riley, and Lucas telling Farkle that they'd still accept him if he does have Asperger's Syndrome and accepting Smackle when she reveals that she does.
** Farkle and Smackle's hug at the end; she tells him she doesn't like it, but to not stop, so he squeezes her tighter and leans his head against hers. It is a SugarWiki/{{Heartwarming Moment|s}}, and maybe one of the sweetest moments in the entire ''franchise'', let alone this series.
* Lucas still believes Farkle is a real boy - despite ''a lot'' of evidence to the contrary. He's proven right.
* Maya and Riley's interactions with Doy in the Season 2 Halloween Special playing along with his "trick".
** Topanga ''finally'' going along with it and calling him Doy. Considering how she felt about it all along, it's a great gesture on her part.
* Cory's acknowledgement of the GhostExtras at the end of "Girl Meets Rileytown", considering that most sitcoms would gloss over them.
** When Lucas confronts Riley over being bullied in "Girl Meets Rileytown", Farkle is ''seconds'' behind him; nerdy, sports hating Farkle, has managed to keep up with Lucas, who is a jock --- because Riley's being bullied... and you do ''not'' fuck with Riley when they're around.
** Shortly beforehand, Maya has helped Riley barricade her window; whatever situation they had before has been completely ignored because Riley needs Maya.
* Two members of the cheerleading squad faking injuries so Riley could join the squad near the end of "Girl Meets Rah-Rah".
* Farkle comforting Riley after she admits she still has feelings for Lucas, and that she only said she was over him because Maya liked him and she wanted to give Maya her chance. They share a hug and say they love each other, albeit in a platonic way.
** Riley and Maya affirming their eternal bond of friendship through their friendship rings, promising that no matter what happens in their love lives they'll always be together.
* Charlie and Auggie's little friendship moment just before midnight in "Girl Meets The New Year".
* Smackle and Farkle's RelationshipUpgrade, confirmed in "Girl Meets The New Year" when they arrive at the party wearing "I'm with this genius" sweaters.
* "Girl Meets Legacy": Riley was instrumental in giving her father the promotion to high school teacher. Particularly heartwarming is that part of doing this involved the parents signing a petition. All of them. Every one noticed what a great teacher Cory was and wanted him to move to high school with their kids.
* "Girl Meets Upstate" has Shawn propose to Katy. The moment he does so, Topanga ''looks at her husband to see if he had anything to do with it''. At his smile, which confirms he ''did'', she moves to his side, showing she supports him (and what he's helped Shawn do) wholeheartedly and is proud of him.
* After spending two episodes fearing she's gone through BadassDecay, Maya ends up ''not'' committing a major act of vandalism on a park she used to hang out at, ''and'' scaring off her old "friends" who mock her for having gone soft when they threaten to do it themselves. When the police officer shows the group what she did (making the park look brighter and more friendly), Maya hugs Riley and says she's strong because of their bond with each other.
** Topanga, despite being a lawyer who fights for justice, understands children and their tendencies to make mistakes because they're too young to understand the law. When Doy confesses to accidental long-term candy theft, she doesn't condemn him but instead takes him and Auggie to the candy store to straighten things out.
* Lucas finally realizing Riley's the one he wants to be with in "Girl Meets Ski Lodge part 2" and Riley's joy.
** Riley declaring Maya her most important person no matter what happens in their love lives. She's happy Lucas likes her, Maya's happy Josh will give her a chance someday, but Maya will always be Riley's "most extraordinary relationship." She even compares them to her parents, the King and Queen of extraordinary relationships.
* "Girl Meets I Do" is full to the brim of heartwarming moments:
** Shawn and Katy, despite all the damage in their pasts, don't get cold feet; their only concern is worrying whether they will be a good spouse to the other.
** The officiant of the wedding is Mr. Feeny. Shawn also tells Katy that she'll "love him". Of all the people Shawn ''could'' have picked to officiate his wedding, he went for the one person he could always go to for help -- his old school teacher.
** The vows, which lampshade the circuitous coincidence that brought the couple together while also being beautiful declarations of love.
** For fans of the original series in particular, it is quite heartwarming to ''finally'' see Shawn Hunter find love and get a happy ending.
** This exchange at the end of the episode:
-->'''Maya''': Am I your daughter now?
-->'''Shawn''': Well, it's how I'd like to think of you. Is that okay?
-->'''Maya''': That is the most okay thing that's ever happened to me.
* Every damn thing in "World Meets Girl", from the set tour all the way to Rowan and Sabrina's talk in the final scene. The "Bay Window Experience" segment of the special is also full of this, complete with Rowan and Sabrina's reactions to the participating best friends' confessions to each other in the iconic Bay Window set.
* "Girl Meets Goodbye" has many, including Riley freaking out about the family possibly moving to London. Coming home, she enters to find nearly ''every'' major character of the original series all together for the first time since the original show ended. The exceptions being Angela, Jack, Rachel, and Eli Williams. While Angela and Jack both made guest appearances prior to this, Rachel and Eli are the only main characters from the original to never appear.
** A great highlight: Cory's long-absent sister, Morgan, is there, played by Lily Nicksay... ''and'' Lindsay Ridgeway.:
** Topanga reveals to Mr. Feeny that she didn't go take his advice to go to Yale because she "got a better offer" - ''Cory''.
** Cory says that he knows Topanga will seek out all the advice of everyone close to her and that she'll listen to it all before she makes a decision and that they will "go with her" no matter what.
** Shawn reveals that while he would hate for his friends to go anywhere, by going to New York he was able to become ''happy'' because he met and married Katy.
** Shawn and John Turner reunite. It's ''biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig'' hugs all around -- and Shawn's finally married, something that it makes John happy to say!
** Shawn officially adopting Maya as his daughter, finally giving them both what they want - a happy, unbroken family. He also reveals that he ''spoke with John Turner'', basically the closest father figure he had, before making the decision and that John regrets never adopting Shawn. Topanga is gobsmacked when Shawn reveals that he's adopting Maya, but quickly breaks into a smile over it. Both Riley and Topanga embrace Maya over the good news.
** Topanga goes to her restaurant to think on her decision -- the one thing she finds as her "quiet place", a place she can just sit and think when she wants to, the place that she loves running, the place that is ''her'' bay window.
** Lucas reveals that, no matter what, Riley will ''always'' be his first girlfriend.
** Ava and Auggie assure one another that they will ''always'' be each other's husband/wife... even when Auggie is away in London.
** Cory, Auggie and Riley assure Topanga that they'll go with her because she's always done right for them, so they'll do this one right for ''her''.
** Cory ''still remembers the words he said to Josh fourteen years ago as it if was "yesterday".''

Top
