He's grown up, and we as the player have cared enough to get him there. It's truly a triumph of the gaming experience, and one I recommend to anyone. It broadens our understanding of the world and allows us to empathize with outgroups it'd be far easer to write off as different, weird, or scary. But all in all, life is just too short to hate.

Even with a few quips, it's clear that he does respect what Ash has accomplished, unlike admonishing him for what he has not like many on Youtube and beyond.
25	* After an entire video saying that the best way to "win" The Purge was to participate in organ harvesting the corpses that will be readily available, he closed the video by saying that blood and bone marrow donors are desperately needed for thousands of people around the country and encouraging people to donate if they are able.

This slightly is subverted with a video where [[spoiler:[=MatPat=] ends up finding something negative to mention about Luigi anyway in the video on his brainwashing and transformation into [[VideoGame/SuperPaperMario Mr. L]], stating that in actuality, the Mr. L persona was [[HiddenDepths Luigi's inner feelings brought forward]]]].
29	* [=ninjamuffin99=]'s [[https://twitter.com/SavedYouA_GT/status/1398787984837820420 heartfelt appreciation]] for [=MatPat=]'s ''VideoGame/FridayNightFunkin'' theory, despite the episode being rather controversial among the game's fanbase, is quite the joy to see, especially him fully batting for [=MatPat=] against critics of the theory, stating that there's nothing wrong with harmless speculation.
30	* After he did a FNAF "Ultimate Timeline" series, on GT Live, several of the fans forwarded [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22WazVHyruY&t=491s&pp=ygUKaWQgZmFudGFzeQ%3D%3D ID Fantasy's video on when Sister Location happened in the timeline]]. While some of the fine details he disagreed with, he found the video well put together. And when ID ended her video asking to join the timeline retrospective livestream, he stated on video that he definitely would. And she did.
31	* The video on ''VideoGame/MyFriendlyNeighborhood'' is less of a theory and moreso [=MatPat=] spelling out the game's message. He tells the viewers that corruption is the absence of good, and for people to become corrupt, it must mean we were good at some point but changed. That change, however, is reversible, as much in real-life people as in the game's protagonist Gordon, who describes it like being lost in a tunnel until the light of the sun guides him home.
32	* Creator/TobyFox [[https://twitter.com/tobyfox/status/1745048357846859798 wishing MatPat well]] on his retirement and even posting art of [[MemeAcknowledgment Sans and Papyrus in Ness outfits]], after all the wild speculation among the fanbase of bad blood between the two due to Toby criticizing him once and [=MatPat=] not doing any ''VideoGame/{{Undertale}}'' or ''VideoGame/{{Deltarune}}'' theories for years.
