* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9g-oTvfrFn8 Gosalyn teaching Darkwing the lullaby her grandfather used to sing to her]], and Darkwing making up extra lyrics for it as he tucks her in. All together now: Awwwwwww! <3
-->'''Darkwing:''' [[ParentalLoveSong Rest your head, little girl blue, come paint your dreams on your pillow. I'll be near to chase away fear, so sleep now and dream till tomorrow.]]
* All of Darkwing and Gosalyn getting to know each other, really, but it's hard to call that a moment.
* Darkwing is locked in prison and laments how he screwed up and has no one to ask for help when Launchpad breaks in. He was coming to bail Darkwing out of jail despite Darkwing being so mean to him earlier. What seals it is how surprised, yet happy Darkwing is to see him. With this, he finally accepts the pilot as a sidekick, and Launchpad's exhilarated whoop (and the barrel roll he does with the Thunderquack) display in no uncertain terms how happy he is.
* This exchange:
-->'''Gosalyn:''' I'm sorry, Darkwing. If they hadn't caught me you wouldn't have risked your life.\
'''Darkwing:''' Gos, before you, I didn't have a life worth risking. ''(They hug.)''
* The ending when Gosalyn learns Darkwing survived the massive explosion and has even taken up a civilian identity so he can adopt her. He introduces Launchpad as his "help" -- which means that she and Launchpad are his "really really close friends"! Remember from earlier?
-->'''Gosalyn:''' You mean you don't take off your mask for anyone?\
'''Darkwing:''' That's right, not no one, not never.\
'''Gosalyn:''' What about a really, really, really close friend?

[[AC:[[Recap/DarkwingDuckS1E8ComicBookCapers Comic Book Capers]]]]
* There's something sweet about how even though Darkwing is writing a comic book, everyone stays in character in said comic and he even has his fictional counterpart take some AmusingInjuries.

[[AC:[[Recap/DarkwingDuckS1E9WaterWayToGo Water Way to Go]]]]
* D.W. was honestly concerned about Launchpad when he (L.P.) was being approached by a sand storm. Darkwing had been stewing about having to act as the sidekick for most of the episode before this, but when he sees that Launchpad is unaware of the oncoming sandstorm, he shouts, "Launchpad!" and runs out to get him. Then he gets smacked into the windshield of the car Launchpad was riding in and gets swept away by the sandstorm. When Launchpad sees that he's in trouble, he jumps from the car, calling, "I'm coming, D.W.! I'm coming!" All this is happening in the middle of a sandstorm so severe that the guards assigned to escort the two reported that they were both dead.
* At the end of said episode, Launchpad is about to explain that Darkwing is the real hero, but Darkwing interrupts and instead says that he is the luckiest sidekick in the world. He then admits that being a sidekick is harder than it looks. (He slips back into the status quo, but it was still sweet.)

[[AC: [[Recap/DarkwingDuckS1E15CantBayouLove Can't Bayou Love]]]]
* DW doesn't even hesitate to go and save Launchpad when he discovers his friend has been kidnapped.

[[AC: Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlatan]]
* D.W. usually has a hard time saying no to Gosalyn.
-->'''Darkwing:''' Throw knives at me, drop nuclear warheads on me - that, I can deal with. But she gives me that little pouty beak and I'm mush.

[[AC: [[Recap/DarkwingDuckS1E39ItsAWonderfulLeaf It's a Wonderful Leaf]]]]
* Gosalyn giving all of her Christmas presents to the Muddlefoots after theirs are stolen by Bushroot.
-->'''Darkwing:''' Poor little guy [Honker].\
'''Gosalyn:''' He is not! I mean... you can't be poor... if you have friends.
** What makes this especially adorable is how impatient Gosalyn was all episode before this[[note]]even creeping downstairs in the middle of the night in an effort to get a peek at her presents[[/note]] and how brash and unsentimental she usually is.

[[AC:[[Recap/DarkwingDuckS1E33LifeTheNegaverseAndEverything Life, the Negaverse and Everything]]]]
* Even in a MirrorUniverse where nothing is as he expects it to be, [[DoppelgangerGetsSameSentiment Darkwing's paternal instincts kick in immediately when it comes to Nega-Gosalyn]]. Even though her obedient behavior is just as confusing to Darkwing as Launchpad's bloodlust, he still grabs her and takes her with him to escape an attacking Launchpad. Whatever the universe, he's determined to protect her.
* After talking to the Friendly Four, Darkwing still has every intention of going back to his own universe without trying to help them, until he sees Nega-Gosalyn again. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBWStzPHTTo And almost immediately changes his mind.]]
-->'''Nega-Megavolt''': No! Don't go! ''(Darkwing pushes him aside)''\
'''Nega-Bushroot''': You're the only one who's ever beat Negaduck! ''(Darkwing pushes him aside as well)''\
'''Darkwing''': Look, thanks, but no thanks. ''(marches past Nega-Quackerjack and Nega-Liquidator)'' I've gotta return to my own universe! My own city. My own life! My own- ''(suddenly notices...)'' Gosalyn. ''(stops in his tracks)''\
'''Nega-Gosalyn''': She's probably worried about you! You shouldn't keep her waiting. ''(hugs Darkwing)''\
'''Darkwing''': ''(uneasy)'' Um... whose kid is this?\
'''Nega-Bushroot''': Gosalyn's guardian is [[AbusiveParents Negaduck.]]\
'''Darkwing''': ''(already instinctively hugging Nega-Gosalyn back)'' Oh. In the Negaverse, there's never been a Darkwing Duck to guard the city... ''(gulp)'' Or a Drake Mallard to be a father. For you, Gosalyn, I'll stay.
* At the end of the episode, Darkwing feels bad about leaving Nega-Gosalyn behind, but she assures him that she'll be fine and that she has four other Darkwings to look after her (referring to the Friendly Four dressed as Darkwing). All while the good incarnations of his worst enemies strike suitably heroic poses. Aaaaw.

[[AC: [[Recap/DarkwingDuckS1E45DeadDuck Dead Duck]]]]
* When Launchpad and Gosalyn come in the door crying uncontrollably, Darkwing immediately jumps up and tries to hug the two of them. (It didn't work, considering that he's a ghost at this point, but it's the thought that counts.)
* Despite being an emotional mess, Launchpad takes time out of his own grief to try to comfort Gosalyn, placing an arm around her and patting her on the back as she sobs.

[[AC:[[Recap/DarkwingDuckS1E50TimeAndPunishment Time and Punishment]]]]
* The first meeting between Gosalyn and the BadFuture version of Launchpad. When she first finds him, he's surprised but delighted to see her again, and she jumps into his arms, saying how nice it is to see a friendly face after what she's seen of the dystopic St. Canard.
* During the {{flashback}} about the night Gosalyn went missing, Darkwing is slumping in the sidecar. Launchpad, who is driving the Ratcatcher, takes a moment to lean down and say something to him, most likely intended to comfort him.
* Darkwarrior reuniting with Gosalyn. Gosalyn facilitates their encounter by defacing a statue. He fires a missile to go after her and Launchpad in retaliation, but upon seeing her on the screen, he exclaims, "G-G-G-G-Gosalyn?!" before he flies down in the Thunderquack, jumps out, and shoves both her and Launchpad out of the way of the missile so that he gets hit instead. Once he recovers, he sweeps Gosalyn into an embrace, exclaiming, "My little angel is back! You don't know how much I've missed you!"
* In the final scene, after experiencing the BadFuture where Darkwing has become the WellIntentionedExtremist Darkwarrior Duck, Gosalyn, Megavolt, and Quackerjack return to the present, and even though Darkwing [[YouAreGrounded grounds Gosalyn for a month]] for disobeying his instructions to stay in the Ratcatcher, she is so happy to see him back to normal that she accepts the punishment without argument and hugs him. Darkwing is so surprised that she's not bothering to argue that he trails off mid-sentence and simply hugs her back.

[[AC:[[Recap/DarkwingDuckS1E54TheHauntingOfMrBananaBrain The Haunting of Mr. Banana Brain]]]]
* While it's hard to notice thanks to most of Launchpad's behavior being played as {{Lovable Coward}}ice, notice what happens when Darkwing starts yelling after putting his hand in the box. Launchpad runs over and grabs his shoulders, seemingly trying to hold on to him to keep him from being "eaten" by the box like Quackerjack. Launchpad is (understandably) terrified of Paddywhack, but he's willing to get into a tug-of-war with the Darkwingverse version of IT to rescue his friend.
* Paddywhack decides he will take Gosalyn as his protege prankster and tries to suck her into his jack in the box. In a moment that has no comedy to it, unlike the rest of the episode, Darkwing jumps to keep her from getting pulled in and tries to secure himself with his grappling hook, and when Launchpad says he can't hold both of them, Darkwing ties down Gosalyn and lets himself get pulled in without a second thought.

[[AC:[[Recap/DarkwingDuckS1E55SlimeOkayYoureOkay Slime Okay, You're Okay]]]]
* D.W. actually chooses to spare Bushroot the usual beating and jailing after Bushroot helps save him from a giant plant monster, choosing instead to let him go. Coming from someone who has every reason to hate Bushy this means a ''lot''.

[[AC:[[Recap/DarkwingDuckS1E57UFFoe U.F.Foe]]]]
* When Launchpad is "captured" by the aliens, D.W. runs after them ordering the aliens to release his sidekick.
* Later, when Gosalyn and Drake have seemingly forgotten about Launchpad due to the Aliens erasing their memories, Drake remembers Launchpad when he finds Launchpad’s Teddy bear, which in itself is adorable.
* Little Launchpad earns an "aww!" by himself, but seeing him play with little Tia is just so cute!

[[AC: [[Recap/DarkwingDuckS1E59TheQuiverwingQuack The Quiverwing Quack]]]]
* Darkwing forbids Gosalyn from assuming her new superheroine identity because he's afraid for her safety:
-->'''Gosalyn:''' You ''never'' treated me like a hero! You just treat me like your baby girl!\
'''Darkwing:''' (softly) Because you ''are''.
** The words alone don't give the proper feel. Darkwing's soft tone and his arms spread out in attempted explanation just sell the moment even more.

[[AC: Inherit the Wimp]]
* Darkwing's ancestors telling Darkwing that he makes them proud to bear the Mallard name just before returning to their proper times in history, plus Darkwing responding that he's proud to be descended from them.

[[AC: [[Recap/DarkwingDuckS2E13TheMerchantOfMenace The Merchant of Menace]]]]
* In the beginning, J. Gander Hooter asks Darkwing to help S.H.U.S.H. track a jewel thief committing heists in St. Canard. When D.W. learns that Herb Muddlefoot is the primary suspect, however, he protests and refuses to take the case, stating that Herb would never do such a thing. It's heartwarming to see that, even though D.W. finds him annoying, he never once doubts Herb's innocence.
* Throughout the episode, Darkwing and Gryzlikoff constantly butt heads due to the latter badly wanting to arrest the jewel thief who's given S.H.U.S.H.'s best agents the slip and the former trying to protect his friend. In the end, however, even though it was D.W. and Herb working together who ultimately defeated Weasel Lowman , D.W. happily hands the crook over to Gryzlikoff, holding no grudge for their conflict and knowing how much the case means to the bear.

[[AC: [[Recap/DarkwingDuckS3E4StarCrossedCircuits Star-Crossed Circuits]]]]
* Gosalyn has already tried to smash D-2000 purely for interfering in her mischief. However, when she's trying to convince Honker to reprogram it, her reason is that its {{job stealing|robot}} is depressing Launchpad.

[[AC: Other]]
* Any interaction between D.W. and Gosalyn that isn't intended to be comedic. They may be after each other like cats and dogs half the time, but no animated work captures the love between a father and his little girl like this series could. In fact, if you watched a few episodes before "Darkly Dawns the Duck", you'd think Gosalyn really was D.W.'s biological daughter, not adopted. THAT'S how good their relationship is.
* DW's eventually grudging respect and friendly rivalry with Gizmo Duck is quite heartwarming. Especially since this is [[AwesomeEgo Drake]] we're talking about.
* DW and Launchpad's relationship can be counted as Heartwarming as well. Darkwing, despite having an ego the size of Pluto or Mercury, he puts both Launchpad and Gosalyn's safety before him. This is why DW and LP are best friends, for that reason.

[[folder: Comics]]
* At the end of the first comic, Quackwerks is handed over to Scrooge who puts Launchpad in charge of it, after saying how much he trusts him.
* In the new comic series, Darkwing, having been out of work for a year, is now in a St. Canard where no one remembers him. When he finally puts the suit back on to investigate Quackwerks' security robots, he is caught, mistaken for a singer, and sent to perform at a retirement party. When he finishes, the retiree tells him that he is suspicious of the robots and someone should investigate, leading to this exchange:
-->'''Darkwing:''' But no one knows the security codes to get i--\
'''Thwackstien:''' 2447-6-3253. My memory's better than most, son, and I know a hero when I see one.
* Morgana's YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre speech to Darkwing in the flashback.
* D.W. and Gosalyn '''again''' get one at the end of the comic's first story arc, when Darkwing [[DisneyDeath thinks Gosalyn is dead.]]
-->'''Darkwing:''' You were always ''my'' superhero...\
'''Gosalyn:''' ''(wakes up coughing)'' Likewise, Dad.
* Darkwing trying to break the brainwashing on the catatonic Morgana in issue 5 of the comic. He succeeds, taking the entire issue to do so, also revealing that without Darkwing, Drake is a duck without a driving purpose. In the end, just about to give up, he tearfully says to her that if he never quit, she would never have suffered. The tear breaks her out of it.
* From the end of the "Crisis on Infinite Darkwings" arc: as the hundreds of assembled Darkwings attempt to battle Paddywhack, they're not doing much damage. Then Gosalyn shows up, and as ''every single Darkwing'' catches sight of her, this produces a massive flood of love and positive emotion, that Morgana is able to channel to defeat and imprison Paddywhack effortlessly.
* Just before leaving for his own dimension again, Quiverwing Darkwing (who lost his own Gosalyn) hugs Gosalyn Prime and tells her, "Be good, Gosalyn. Be ''brilliant.''"
* Also in the first comic, Gosalyn hears some troubling news on the radio and her first response? Instead of going headlong into it herself like she usually would, she sets out to get Launchpad despite the fact that they haven't seen each other in a year! Given that Gosalyn is the one who brings up Launchpad first in the comic, she may have simply taken this as an opportunity to get her family back together.
* Later when we see him next, Launchpad crashes into a building to save Darkwing and for a moment it's just like old times until D.W.'s look reminds L.P. of the rift and even that is quickly mended.
* In the new revised omnibus edition of the comics, the removal of the Dangerous Currency arc means Morgana is still missing until the new series. All the same, it's clear in the added epilogue that Darkwing misses her and knows she did the right thing. Doubles as a Tearjerker.
-->'''Darkwing:''' I don't know if you can hear me, Morgana...but I miss you. I've blamed my self for your disappearance, but I know that you made a choice to save me. To save the entire world. To save my ''daughter''. I have to respect that choice, and ''believe'' in you...the way you've always believed in ''me''.
** The same epilogue ends with Morgana's pets Eek, Squeak, and Archie looking happily at a glowing crystal ball, so it's clear that Morgana may return eventually.
* The Darkwing Annual had a story where Quackerjack's former girlfriend bought his Mr. Banana Brain doll, in the hopes of bringing "Jacky" back to his senses. She tells Darkwing, after offering him snacks, that she knows Jacky was once a good guy who wanted to bring joy to others. Darkwing is so touched that he promises that, after stopping the jester's plot, that he will try to reason with Quackerjack. Sadly it segues into TearJerker in that just as he's about to try, Quackerjack has vanished. It turns out Jacky went to his girlfriend's house and was debating on going inside. The look on his face speaks volumes of how he loved her before he turns himself into a doll for her, with a DearJohnLetter saying this is the best version of him.
* In the sixth issue of the Joe Books run, it turns out that Gosalyn planned to dress as Darkwing at the comic convention. She even informs her adoptive father that she dressed as him because he's her hero.
* In issue #8 of the Joe Books run, after Bushroot is forced to kill Posey by his own hand after another destructive potato zombie rampage and despite his best efforts to talk her down, Darkwing comes to sit next to him as things are dying down to talk, even admitting that he wishes things didn't have to come to that.
-->'''Darkwing:''' How ya doin', Reggie?
-->'''Bushroot:''' You've never really called me that before.
-->'''Darkwing:''' Seems fitting, today of all days. I know we've had our differences... Odds are we will again. But... I'm sorry it had to end that way.
-->'''Bushroot:''' I'm not. I can feel her in the vines. In every sprout, every leaf. She was hurting before, but now she's at peace. She's ''happy.'' And oddly enough, that makes ''me'' happy.
-->'''Darkwing:''' That's true love. When something is so important to you, you'd sacrifice ''anything'' for it.
-->'''Bushroot:''' It felt good to be the hero for a change. Now I know why you work so obnoxiously hard at it. Hey, maybe I've [[HeelFaceTurn turned over a]] [[{{Pun}} new leaf.]] Get it?
-->'''Darkwing:''' Yes, you certainly have ''grown.''
-->'''Bushroot:''' Terrible. Just terrible.
-->({{Beat}})
-->'''Bushroot:''' I'm still going back to ''jail,'' aren't I?
-->'''Darkwing:''' Ooooh yeah. Big time.
-->'''Bushroot:''' Oh, well... At least I won't be alone.
