* A little bit before Before Adam Mitchel's daughter dies, she asks her dad to dance with her on the side of the road when her favorite song plays on the radio while they are driving. Adam declines because, well, it's kind of embarrassing. So, instead she teaches him how to dance for next time by acting like she is holding him as she dances. It's adorable, but the real heartwarmer is when a little after after she dies, Adam goes to the same spot on the side of the road and plays his daughter's favorite song and walks outside. He than starts dancing as a voice over of her teaching him to dance plays while he dances. Note that this was one of those dances that involve holding the other person. Even more heartwarming in the novel version where after he does the dance, we see Emily in heaven with Jesus who tells her that one day she will see her family again in the eternal kingdom and dance with her father again; then he scoops her up "like she was his most precious creation" and she happily snuggles into his chest.
* The dinner scene after [[SugarWiki/FunnyMoments the "Snake Kings" scene]]. The Mitchels are laughing happily when Adam says that he had a good day. In the quiet of his wife and son sobering, he states that they're going to be okay. Then his son says out of the blue [[MyGreatestFailure "I wish I had been a better brother..."]] The three family members end up in a crying group hug as Adam reaffirms his love and care for his son and reassuring him that he's not to blame for anything involving his sister.
* When the cops and Javier are sitting around discussing being godly fathers, Adam asks when the other men felt they had become men. Most of them give halfhearted unsure answers but Javier says, with a warm smile and utmost conviction, "When my father told me I was." In the novel, there's an added subplot with Javier's father and what a good man [[GoodParents and good father]] he was, with Javier regularly claiming if he can be even half the father his own was to his children, they will be truly blessed.
* When Javier tries on the suit he's going to wear for signing the Resolution, his children come in and marvel over how amazing he looks. He regards his reflection and remarks "I feel like a rich man."; his wife then informs him that he ''is'' a rich man because his God loves him, his wife adores him and his children honor him.
* After David goes through with the resolution program, he decides to write a letter to his ex-girlfriend asking for her to give him another chance and allow him to be a part of his daughter’s life. Once he finishes writing the letter, he prays to God, saying that he’s ready for whatever He plans for David.
* Nathan finally goes to his father’s grave and reads aloud a speech where he says he forgives his father for abandoning Nathan and he looks forward to meeting him in Heaven.
* Combined as an awesome moment. When Javier is offered a manager position at a factory, Javier decides to turn down the job when the owner asks him to falsify numbers. It turns out, though, the manager was testing him to see if he had enough integrity to truthfully do his job. After struggling with jobs for so long, Javier and his family finally have a stable income.
* After Emily's death, Adam and Victoria are in her room talking. The camera pans up to a shot of a placard above Emily's bed that reads, ''My prince did come, his name is Daddy.''
* Near the end of the film, Nathan takes his daughter Jade to dinner at a fancy place the family would normally not eat at since they can't normally afford it. In a ceremonious moment, Nathan asks Jade to trust him with her heart until God shows them both who she should marry. He then gives her a heart-shaped promise ring.
