!!Season 1

* Jake comforting Rose after Brad ditches her for Jasmine at the dance in “Dragon Breath”.
-->'''Rose:''' Brad said the reason he asked me out tonight was so he could dance with the prettiest girl in the room. I guess he got his wish…\
'''Jake:''' Come on. ''I'' wanna dance with the prettiest girl in the room.
* In [[HalloweenEpisode “The Halloween Bash”]], Grandpa putting his Halloween candy in Haley's bag when she wasn't looking, so that she'd think that she got more candy than he did.
** When Jake saves them from the Huntsclan immediately after they remove his ''chi'', Kulde and Andam graciously thank him and reinstate his powers.
** All of the magical creatures being out in the open on Halloween and having fun with Jake's (mostly oblivious) human classmates is nice.
* The ending of "Professor Rotwood's Thesis"; Trixie and Spud learn that Jake is a dragon, but get over real quick. When Jake is about to give them memory wiping potions, Trixie, oblivious to this, tells Jake that him being a dragon won't affect their friendship at all, which Spud confirms. Jake takes this to heart and dumps the potions. "I'm with you. Most definitely."
-->'''Trixie:''' Listen, Jake, Spud and I want you to know somethin'. This whole "magical thing"...man, we don't care if you're a dragon, a troll, a unicorn...\
'''Spud:''' [[ItMakesSenseInContext Or even my mom's lasagna.]]\
'''Trixie:''' Ch'yeah. Point is, we're friends for life, and friends for real. That's wassup.\
'''Spud:''' Whatever she just said. Totally.
** Earlier in this same episode, when Trixie and Spud first discover Jake's secret, their first reaction is predictably shock but not at the secret their best friend has been keeping from them all this time, but [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone the fact that the dragon they just sold to Rotwood was actually their best friend]]. They then run off to rescue him without hesitation. The fact that not even a secret as big as Jake's could put a dent in their friendship speaks volumes about how strong it is.
* "Ring Around The Dragon": After spending the episode being annoyed by his parents' and their notes, Jake finds new appreciation for them and makes them breakfast with notes of his own.
* Sara and Kara get a couple of good sisterly moments in "Bodyguard Duty." Kara helps Sara up when she falls down after climbing a fence (just as she foretold would happen), while Sara yanks her sister out of the way of several flying objects due to having had visions of where the impact would be.
* Jake stops Rose from falling down the stairs and gives her the last pudding cup due to Sara's vision in "Bodyguard Duty."
* In "The Long Weekend", after we get the SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome of Jonathan [[PapaWolf rescuing Jake from the Jersey Devil]] (Jonathan thought it was a bear), we get this exchange.
-->'''Jonathan:''' Well, as soon as I saw it, I went looking for you kids. Nothing's gonna happen to you on my watch, Jake!\
'''Jake:''' (''smirks jokingly'') Cougar Scout Code?\
'''Jonathan:''' (''sincerely smiles'') No... Father Code.
** As Spud is eating some food at the sprite village, he abruptly pauses and puts it back as he listens to the village elders talk about how they risk starving unless the Jersey Devil is stopped.
** At the end of the episode, the Sprite village declares Jonathan to be their hero rather than Jake, complete with a statue of him. Jake is momentarily surprised, but rather than get jealous and resentful, smiles and agrees his dad is a hero.
* It's a small moment, but after Jake and the Tooth Fairy defeat the Dark Dragon, ''[[TheEeyore Kara]]'' is cheering jubilantly.
* Jake uses his dragon fire to melt a snow sculpture into looking like Rose (who is appropriately touched).
* Mixed with funny moments, in “Jake Takes the Cake” Jake gets up on stage and sings the “Hubba-Hubba Hula” (which he has been extremely opposed to previously due to the tackiness of the song) to not only get a chaotic horde of Gremlins under control, but also to save his mothers’ business (It makes sense in context).
* Jake flying his sister home in “Legend of the Dragon Tooth” and then tugging her into bed and putting her tooth under her pillow with Haley being happy that her brother saved her.

!!Season 2

* Rose talking to Lao-Shi in "Love Cruise".
-->'''Rose''': You want me to break up with Jake?\
'''Lao-Shi:''' I am only concerned for his safety.\
'''Rose:''' But I could never hurt him. I realize that might sound strange coming from someone who spent the last year trying to slay him, but I could never break his heart! Or my own...
** In the same episode, cheerleader Tricia makes a cheer about being in love with her {{Goth}} boyfriend Joshua, while he expresses happy surprise at how well their relationship is working. Later, after temporarily becoming infatuated with someone else due to Cupid's arrow, she has a pretty touching apology for her heartbroken boyfriend.
---> '''Tricia:''' I don't know why I wasn't with you, because, that's where I want to be.
* Jake sets up a private ball for him and Rose at "Homecoming," and promises that he'll be there for her when she leaves the Huntsclan. Given the events of "Love Cruise", it shows that Jake is committed to their relationship.
* After Rose attempts a HeroicSacrifice by wishing for the destruction of the Huntsclan, Jake wishes that Rose was never taken by the Huntsman to save her. He had the chance to wish for anything else: that Rose would be spared, that she was his girlfriend... but instead, he gives her the chance of a normal life with her family, even if it means that she won't remember him. [[IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy Jake has proven how much he loves Rose by letting her go.]]
** And after she regains her memories in the finale, one can imagine how Rose felt when she realized Jake willingly gave her this new, happier life with her family, even if it meant he couldn't be with her.
* Jake and Rose's kiss in both "The Academy" and "Hong Kong Longs".
** After Jake and Rose’s ReunionKiss in "Hong Kong Longs".
--->'''Jake''': Rose, you remembered! But how?
--->'''Rose''': You left this at my house. [[RippleEffectProofMemory Let's just say it brought back some memories.]]
** Made even more heartwarming when you remember the early season 1 episode "Act 4 Scene 15", in which they had trouble with the kiss scene in ''Theatre/AntonyAndCleopatra'' because, according to Rose, that kiss represented the culmination of what the protagonist had gone through together and Rose and Jake had not going through ''anything'' together... [[EarnYourHappyEnding Yet]].
* All of Jake and Rose's dates in the dreamscape, such as when they imagine themselves at the Eiffel Tower.
* During his graduation, Jake makes peace with both Danika (who he'd made cry after mistaking her for a monster) and Rotwood.
* Jake and his dad Jonathan's talk at the end of "Hong Kong Longs."
-->'''Jake''': Dad, you just found out today you married into a family of magical reptiles. You seem to be taking it pretty well.
-->'''Jonathan''': I don't know. I guess, deep down, I always knew there was something magical about my family.
-->'''Jake''': Trust me, there something [[GoodParents magical]] about you, too. (''hugs him'')
** On the subject of Jonathan, the episode where Jake travels back in time to when his mother and father were still high school sweethearts, to see if Jonathan would be able to handle his family's magical nature. At first he, somewhat understandably, freaks out, but after Jonathan is approached by the Huntsclan and asked to reveal his knowledge of who the dragons are, to help wipe out the "monsters", Jonathan refuses, and states that the only monsters there are the hunters.
*** This incident also qualifies as a crowning moment of awesome.
** In "Bite Father, Bite Son", Jake is not looking forward for "Take Your Child to Work Day" and is embarrassed with his father's antics. However, after Grandpa explains that his father's courage is what made Jake to be chosen as the American Dragon, Jake decides to spend the day with his father at the beach, [[BabiesEverAfter a family tradition he will continue to follow in the future with his own son]].
*** In the same episode, Jonathan saw Jake lying down on the floor after the Strigoi had weakened him. Thinking that these "clients" had attacked his son, Jonathan immediately entered PapaWolf mode and gave the Strigois a beat down.
** The moment near the end where Lao Shi explains to Jake that part of the reason he was chosen to be the American Dragon was because of Jonathan, who Lao Shi describes as "courageous, kind and honest," and a good example for Jake to follow. This becomes even more heartwarming when you consider that Lao Shi utterly hated Jonathan when he and Susan were dating back in high school, showing that his opinion of him has [[DefrostingIceQueen improved greatly since then]].
* Speaking of "Bite Father Bite Son", there's the B-story with Spud helping his mother with the Pizza Parlor. They try to entertain a stuffy food critic and seemingly snobbish son, but apparently it's not enough. The next day, the newspaper reads their restaurant received only two-and-a-half stars. Spud's mother comforts that not only did her son try his best, but he means more to her than what some food critic thinks.
-->'''Spud:''' Aw, Mom… I’m sorry I let you down.\
'''Mrs. Spudinski:''' Oh, nonsense, Arthur. Your effort was worth all the stars in the sky.
** Even better? It turns out the rating was two-and-a-half out of THREE. As it turns out, the food critic's son had just come from the dentist after a root canal and couldn't smile or laugh at the time because of a muscle relaxant in his face. According to the review, the food critic's son told him "Papa, this was the best day of my life."
* In the Season 2 theme when Jake high-fives with a cute little elf.
* There's a subtle one in "Breakout," where Rose just stares at Jake when he stammers his justification in spending time together. Her glance read, "God, this guy is too adorable."
** Just before this moment, Rose tries to get out of being partnered with Jake by claiming to Rotwood that they can’t stand each other, and makes a rude comment about Jake using copious amounts of hair gel. Jake’s response? “Well, your hair is… golden, and nice.” He can’t even bring himself to insult her.
*** Then, there’s what Rose says to Jake when they talk afterwards at lunch.
---->'''Rose:''' For the record, you don’t wear too much hair gel. Okay, you do, but it’s cute.
** Rose not getting scared away from Jake's admittedly disgusting moulting cycle, when even Trixie and Spud couldn't help but have a near-puking reaction whenever they saw him during that.
*** Also, Trixie and Spud deciding to use try their invention, 100 uses cream, to help Jake remove his moulting skin faster.
* In "Furious Jealousy", Jake goes on a junk food binge due to the lack of dragon business lately, which results in him gaining so much weight that he can't defend the town or his friends. By the end of the episode, he agrees to go on a diet, just to protect them.
** Leads into NightmareFuel: If Fury and her sister's hadn't shown up then and had left to go and plot, how much longer would his junk food binge go on and how big would Jake have gotten? He'd've eventually had a heart attack or been unable to win, even ''with'' the help of his friends. Needless to say, Jake is dieting not only to be kind to his friends, but to himself.
* Jake and his younger sister, Haley, may not always get along, but when the chips are down, [[BigBrotherInstinct he's willing to go to impossible lengths for her sake.]]
** As for Haley, any time she recognizes Jake's worth or how much he's willing to do to protect her or his magical charges is guaranteed to warm your heart.
* In [[ChristmasEpisode "Hairy Christmas"]], Trixie is bummed out for the majority of the episode because her dad is iced in at his Air Force base all the way over in Greenland, and won't be able to make it home to New York City in time for Christmas. Then come Christmas morning, she is surprised and overjoyed to see that her dad made it home after all! When she asks how, he states that something flew over the base and melted away all the ice, and jokes that he didn't know Santa's reindeer could breathe fire. But Trixie, along with the viewer, knows better: it was Jake. ''He flew all the way to Greenland and back, '''in one night''', and de-iced the base just so his friend could spend Christmas with her father''. If that's not a BestFriend, I don't know what is!
-->'''Trixie:''' Thanks, Jakey...
** Spud tries to cheer up Trixie by offering to make eggnog with her the way she does with her dad. Trixie explains that she actually doesn't like eggnog; she likes making it with her dad because it's their tradition. This makes Jake realize that weird traditions aren't something you should take for granted, and apologizes to his dad for belittling his Christmas singing.
* For most of the series, Lao Shi dislikes Jonathan for being a normal human and only refer him as "Daughter's Husband". The episode "Feeding Frenzy" has the two taking a road trip to meet Lao Shi's side of a family and end up getting lost. Though they spend most of the time arguing, the two eventually bond during a karaoke duet and by the time they arrive at the family reunion, they are the only ones who have a good relationship.
** Jonathan and Lao Shi single-handedly call out the relatives on their bickering and open their eyes that a famiy reunion should be about bonding with one another.
** The ending also comes up with a wonderful compromise where Jonathan and Lao Shi have dinner at the main table, and the remaining relatives spend time with each other at the kiddie's table. That way, Lao Shi doesn't have to stress over keeping Jonathan away from the magical relatives, Susan doesn't have to worry about her family's dragon heritage being out in the open, and nobody (especially Jake) has to feel excluded for not being old enough.
*** Even better, after the events of "Hong Kong Longs", Jonathan won't have to miss out on any more family events with Lao Shi's relatives. From now on, he gets to attend the reunions and see a whole new side to his wife's side of the family he never saw before.
* The magical community banding together just because they think Jake has been taken hostage by Rotwood in "Magical Enemy #1", despite the way Jake is and how much trouble they cause him, the magical creatures of New York got his back.
** After reading Jake's blog post about how miserable he is, Rotwood apologizes for how hard he's been riding Jake to make him reveal his secret.
---> '''Rotwood:''' Of all people, I should know what it is like to be ridiculed for trying to bring together the human and magical worlds.
