Other than the sweet things which we see in our life and post here, some parts of [=TV Tropes=] are sweet by itself.
----
* The very fact that we have an entire index here dedicated to sweet, amazing things. There are ''enough'' of them to require that. That is amazing.
* Back when we had Troper Tales, the one for NeverGotToSayGoodbye was a straight-up tearjerker. Unless you scrolled down to the bottom of the page, with many tropers leaving either long or short messages "defying" the trope.
* [[EmotionalTorque The best line on this wiki:]] ''...art isn't about making you feel good. Art is about making you feel.''
* From the FridgeBrilliance page:
-->What's the point in living life to the fullest when life has so many ways to turn so very wrong? What's the point in commending the few decent folks when most people seem to be such selfish assholes? Why bother focusing on the nice stuff people are capable of when they're capable of doing such horrible stuff too? Then I realized that that's what makes those things so special. Being nice and happy where everything is all great and dandy? Okay. Finding the strength to be nice and happy despite all the surrounding horribleness? Simply amazing.
** Another one from the Literature section:
--->In ''Literature/GuardsGuards'', it is stated that L space connects all universes. Usually when Creator/{{Terry|Pratchett}} says that, it refers to something that happens in ours as well. I then thought of the possibility of traveling to ''Literature/{{Discworld}}'' through my local library. Only several weeks later did I realize that's exactly what I was doing.
* There are quite a few good tropers who can describe examples on the TearJerker or SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments pages so sweetly.
** Description of the USS Arizona - USS Missouri Memorial in Pearl Harbor
---> Oil still leaks from the ''Arizona's'' hull even after sixty years, as though the ship is still crying for the hundreds of sailors who died aboard her. Meanwhile the ''Missouri'' is standing watch over the ''Arizona's'' grave, as though telling the fallen sailors: "Rest easy. We ''won''."
** On the British Royal Guards playing ''Star Spangled Banner'' in the courtyard of Buckingham Palace the day after 9/11:
---> If nations are people and anthems are their lullabies, then here was Mother England singing to her grieving American child.
** [[Series/MisterRogersNeighborhood Fred Rogers is the major reason to research immortality. Let our descendants from the 24th and one half Century watch Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood, and they will feel the same thing.]]
** About the Unknown Child from the ''Titanic'', where the body of a kid was recovered and scientists in the early 2000s were able to identify them.
---> He lived for but a few months. He waited for over ninety years. But thanks to the love of strangers one boy finally has a name.
** Formerly from the TearJerker pages for ''Franchise/ToyStory'':
--->Let's face it. [[WesternAnimation/ToyStory3 This film]] is Creator/{{Pixar}}'s plan to search out every tear-jerking button you have and hammer them all. Repeatedly. At the same time. And then it will rip out your heart, run it through a shredder, bulldoze it, smash it with a wrecking ball and throw it in the Dumpster. '''''DAMN YOU, PIXAR.'''''
--->But then they put it back together piece-by-piece, kissed it, and handed it back telling you "You've grown up. Live well. [[Anime/CowboyBebop Bang]]."
** Another post formerly from that same page: "This movie gave me my adulthood and my childhood at the same time, and told me it was okay to look at them both and be a little scared."
* From YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre (Real Life): It seems to have been removed from that page, but here is what it was.
-->You're better than you think you are. Keep your chin up, and your back straight!
--->But I have scoliosis. I can't keep my back straight.
---->Then let your words stand so straight that others always remember your back as being straight regardless of the physical facts.
* The description of the ''Anime/NinjaScroll'' entry on the LastKiss trope: "In the cold universe of the film, where lust, violence and greed has cheapened sex as an expression of love, Kagero's simple kiss for Jubei was an expression of love stronger than any other." Doubles as a TearJerker given that Kagero dies shortly after.
* [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=12908448750A68202400 This forum topic.]] "Jordan" looks for some people to call his friends... and FINDS THEM. But the ''real'' heartwarming comes from Jordan himself. After all he's been through, he never once gives up!
* On how ''Series/TheSarahJaneAdventures'' fans can still believe in the goodness of humanity now that [[Creator/ElisabethSladen our Sarah Jane]] is no longer there to tell us everything will be okay, one wise troper [[TearJerker/TheSarahJaneAdventures had this to say]]: "We don't stop believing in it or think it no longer matters because she's dead and one day so will we all be. '''''We believe in it because she lived.'''''"
* TheStinger to the SadnessTropes Index.
--> Good God, there's a lot more of these than there are HappinessTropes, aren't there?
--> [[HopeSpringsEternal Just because sadness comes in more varieties than happiness doesn't mean that it's more prevalent]].
* The folder labels on [[WhereAreTheyNowEpilogue "Where Are They Now?" Epilogue]] can be... strangely heartwarming.
* Doubles as Awesome: Any time anyone manages to find Awesome/Heartwarming/Tear Jerker/Funny Moments in an otherwise awful work, or one that otherwise is hated a lot on the internet (e.g. ''WesternAnimation/TeenTitansGo'', ''WesternAnimation/ChickenLittle'', the ''[[Film/ThePhantomMenace Star]] [[Film/AttackOfTheClones Wars]]'' [[Film/RevengeOfTheSith prequels]]), is extremely [[OvershadowedByControversy controversial]] (e.g. ''Film/Ghostbusters2016''), or a ContestedSequel[=/=]outright victim of {{Sequelitis}} (e.g. ''WesternAnimation/ShrekTheThird'', ''WesternAnimation/RalphBreaksTheInternet'').
* The stinger for ThankingTheViewer. It's not just addressing the readers and editors for their interest in the page, but also for their interest in this wiki as a whole.
* The entry from AbusiveParents has a similar, yet even better paragraph at the end with links for children that need to deal with this and with the same YouAreNotAlone message. You guys are awesome. Whoever it is that left that is awesome. If even one person is helped by that, this site already made a difference.
* For what it's worth, the [[ItWIllNeverCatchOn/RealLife Real Life section]] of ItWillNeverCatchOn seems to fit.
* Writing a work page for a particularly obscure work, expecting yourself to be the page's only contributor of information... only to see it start being expanded on by another editor can make you feel like YouAreNotAlone.
* If the NightmareFuel and TearJerker pages have left you feeling sleepless or watery-eyed, both of the main pages for these tropes have handy links to SugarWiki/SweetDreamsFuel at the bottom. The Tear Jerker main page also has a page for SugarWiki/FunnyMoments, for those who prefer laughs for getting their spirits back up.
* The page on WordOfGod that says that ''WesternAnimation/KimPossible'' and Ron Stoppable were always meant to be together and their love will last forever.
* The former Troper Tales for GuiltyPleasures. ''WesternAnimation/AdventuresOfSonicTheHedgehog'' and ''Film/SpaceJam'' appeared the most and so many people were united by admitting they liked them.
* In a strange way, the FairForItsDay trope can be seen as this. Seeing how something once considered progressive is no longer seen as such shows just how far society has come in accepting others' differences.
* On the former Troper Tales for High Octane Nightmare Fuel, someone spoke of their fear of creating something they put their heart and soul into and having it end up on the DarthWiki/SoBadItsHorrible page. But then another troper had this to add:
-->This is perfectly understandable, it really is. I think we all know what destructive criticism is. If, however, you are not racist, sexist, otherwise tactless, or dangerously negligent with the quality of your work (literally "dangerously" so, in the case of some of the toys listed), you have a number of advantages over 95% of those entries. My best wishes to you!
* The VindicatedByHistory page. It's heartwarming to read the many examples of how creative works that were disliked or ignored in their day gained appreciation over time. By extension, VindicatedByCable/[[VindicatedByReruns Reruns]] qualify as heartwarming.
* From the now-deleted RealLife section for TearJerker, someone related themselves to suicide victim Phoebe Prince, stating that they were both bullied for similar reasons (Prince because she went out with two different boys at different times, the troper because they fell in love with the on again, off again boyfriend of a fake friend). They concluded with "I'm still not sure why our stories don't end the same way", which prompted this response:
-->Because you're stronger. Life isn't about getting knocked down. It's about getting up. That's a worthless saying from some guy on the internet who you'll never meet... but that doesn't make it any less true. Keep getting up. PLEASE.
* The forum game "Things Bob is not allowed to do on Website/TVTropes" has [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=14992645520A41916300&page=116#comment-2900 one post]] that is a ThrowTheDogABone moment. For the record, the post was made on Christmas 2022.
-->2764: Bob is permitted to have a merry Christmas. We'll see about the happy new year if he's good.
* JustForFun/TropeEpitaph is pretty sweet and sad at the same time. Yeah, these articles are gone, merged, or turned into disambigs, but it's also a way to remember that, while these pages may have been removed for a reason, they will never be forgotten.
