My theory is that in the anime it ''started'' that way, and that Nephrite moving to Tokyo was due to both the need to deal with the Sailor Senshi and Japan being the easier target (Europe having the far more experienced Sailor V kicking the life out of youmas, Middle East being filled with illegal guns and one of the best intelligence services in the world and North America including a country where civilians are often allowed to own military-issue personal weapons, automatic weapons and even ''flamethrowers'', while Tokyo had much less weapons capable to harm a youma, less invadent governements than the rest of Far East and less experiences Sailor Senshi). Then, around the time Zoisite retreated from Europe, either Beryl or Nephrite found out hints about the Rainbow Crystals (the key to recover the Silver Crystal) being ''all'' in Tokyo, hence all the activities moving there in a desperate attempt to recover the Silver Crystal and kill Sailor Moon's group before the Princess was awakened and/or Sailor Venus moved back there. Too bad that Venus moved back in Japan at least a couple days before they managed to trap Sailor Moon and get Tuxedo Kamen's Rainbow Crystal and that the very act of summoning the Silver Crystal would awaken the Princess and give her the Crystal... |

It's true that the asteroid senshi are Chibi-Usa's equivalent of Usagi's inner senshi. Because Chibi-Usa has her own equivalent to the Silver Crystal as well (it's called the Pink Moon Crystal), therefore she doesn't need the Golden Crystal, which will most likely either remain with Mamoru or go to Helios when Mamoru dies (which would also make sense, since Helios will most likely marry Chibi-Usa, making him king or something of the sort). So Chibi-Usa would step up as Sailor Chibi Moon and then later as the new Sailor Moon not when Neo-Queen Serenity dies, but even earlier than that, as part of her training perhaps. But Usagi and her senshi most likely will not reincarnate. The only reason they were reincarnated after the end of the Silver Millennium was because Queen Serenity used the Silver Crystal on them for that to happen, and they reincarnated after the end of the first season/arc because Usagi made a dying wish to restart the timeline and the Silver Crystal (being in it's full-powered state) fulfilled it. Therefore, unless Usagi or Chibi-Usa makes the conscious choice to use the Silver Crystal (or Pink Moon Crystal, should it ever be as powerful) to make them reincarnate, it wouldn't happen. And even if it did, there's no reason why Usagi would be reborn as Chibi-Usa's daughter. That's kind of messed up. And I suppose once Neptune and Uranud get old enough to die, nothing special will happen, their Sailor Crystal will go to someone else who will become the next Sailor Neptune and Uranus. I'm not sure what happens to Sailor Pluto - she might reincarnate forever, or she might go back to the Gate Of Time and not age, or her Sailor Crystal might choose the next Sailor Pluto and let her die in peace. Nothing's certain with her. And I'm not sure why Sailor Star Fighter, who has nothing to do with any of this, is included. When she dies, the same thing that happens to Sailor Uranus and Neptune and every other senshi who die under regular conditions happens. And the point of the asteroid/amazoness senshi is that even though the inners can have daughters who can become their heirs, they don't have to. It's a possibility that Sailor Mars (who in the manga took a vow of chastity once) will choose to not have children at all. So the quartet is to ensure Chibi-Usa has a team independent of the inners' choices. And even if they do have children who become Sailor Senshi, surely they'll have other duties than to just live in a loop of fate. And just because we haven't seen the asteroid senshi's individual attacks doesn't mean they don't have them. |

Were they honestly that surprised when she went for the jugular? Or was there something else going on (like Zoisite being concerned that Kunzite wouldn't come with him)? |

As for why they don't fight themselves, several of them do and it almost always goes the same way: they have an advantage at first then the heroes adapt and turn the tide against them. Beryl was powerful but fragile, Ali and An were strong but having an energy crisis so couldn't stay in battle long, the Black Moon family did join the battle several times but weren't strong enough to win and in the seasons after that they were more focussed on trying to free the seasons' BigBad from whatever prison they were trapped in. |

The only real flaw in this logic is why would a shadow person be given the same punishment a human was? They were already monsters. You would think removing a crystal would return them to being their old monster form given the senshi and the generals all look the same. Design-wise they look cool and all, but internally it doesn't exactly flow as well. In some cases Queen Serenity probably made them better at fighting than their original forms in doing so. |
