* In the very first episode of Season One, how did Mordecai, Rigby, Benson, Pops, Skips, and the "bunch of baby ducks" not die from lack of oxygen on the Moon?
** [[RuleOfFunny Because this is a cartoon]].
* Why is Mordecai a blue jay, why is Rigby a raccoon, why is Pops a lollipop, why is Skips an ape in jeans, why is Benson a talking bubble gum dispenser, and why is there a ghost with a high-five hand on his head?
** Because it fits in with the weirdness of the show.
** Skips is a yeti.
*** Yetis are technically apes, because they're monkey-like creatures without tails, right?
** Because those are their character designs. Why are you (presumably) human?
** I think it's mainly to highlight the odd nature of the series.
** Maybe [[AWizardDidIt the Halloween Wizard did it?]]
** Mordecai, Benson, and Pops were all from JG Quintel's projects...the others just fit in. Then again, they were supposed to be acid-induced appearances, so...
** What bugs me is that the park employees, the coffee shop employees, and the relatives thereof are the only ones with such distinctive appearances. Why is damn near everyone else on the show human?
** I assume it's a personality thing. The interesting people are all strange looking anthropomorphized creatures while the standard run-of-the-mill dial tone characters are human.
** If the student film ''2 In The AM PM'' that preceeded the show is anything to go by, the series may be an extended acid trip.
** For the same reason why you're (presumably) human. [[WhamLine Or ARE you??]]
* Why, why, WHY is Dr. Asinoskovich's name Asinoskovich? First of all, she's a woman, so the suffix to her patronymic should be Asinoskovna. Second of all, Slavs actually use their family names as surnames.
** They probably didn't want to put that much research into a one-time character?
** [[WebVideo/ProJared It's a joke.]]
** Plus, the surname of someone isn't controlled, and therefore, all surnames are gender-neutral.
* If the tail were located right in the crack like that, how the heck would Rigby go to the bathroom?
** NobodyPoops. That is all.
** I've been waiting for a much better reply. NobodyPoops? Come on, look at the average mammal. The tail is usually a little above the anus.
** Perhaps it's inside that little split in his left cheek?
** Mordecai uses the toilet for a long period of time during that episode (long enough for Rigby to learn Death Kwon Do), so NobodyPoops can't be the answer. I think it's simply just because the animators made a mistake, if not RuleOfFunny.
** There's also the possibility that the animators are using ArtisticLicense because they felt like drawing it that way. Sort of like how real blue jays aren't tall as a human, with wings that work like human hands?
** Maybe they couldn't get away with showing the entire ass crack. Also, if it was raised higher, than it would also be off model since you usually don't see Rigby's butt and that's where the tail always is.
** Zero idea.
** Out the bottom.
** They figured the kids watching at home wouldn't spend their time thinking about raccoon anuses and bird cloaca.
* Why do Mordecai and Rigby bother working at the park if all they end up being yelled at by Benson and occasionally, ridiculed by Muscle Man?
** As Rigby put it in "Benson Be Gone", "''We need the money, man!''" Sometimes, you just don't have anything better to do. It's a paying job that provides room and board.
* When does this show take place? All the video games are 8-bit and VHS tapes are still used, so you think it's the 1980s. But in "Prank Callers", it's shown that it's after the 80s. And in "Terror Tales of the Park 2", Muscle Man says that the 80s were "a couple decades ago". So that implies that it's the early 2000s, but in "Replaced", Jeremy and Chad are shown using smartphones. Not to mention the fact that ''time machines'' can be easily purchased...
** In ''The Best VHS In the World'', the video store owner mentions that he is the only store that hasnt switched to DVD's yet, thinking that its a superior format, and Rigby and Mordecai cant afford a DVD player, which is why they still rent there. Also, they have computers and Internet, so its most likely "present day" whenever that happens to be. The outdated video games are probably meant to be a combination of nostalgia for the shows adult audience, and being more fun to animate. You'll notice that the CONSOLE never changes, just the games and the graphics. Rigby and Mordecai played the same console when they were kids.
** ''AuthorAppeal'' J.G. Quintel likes 80's stuff.
** It could be that the show takes place in the present day and Pops is too senile to buy anything new for the park.
** WordOfGod [[https://regularshow.fandom.com/wiki/Regular_Show#:~:text=According%20to%20creator%2C%20J.G.%20Quintel,computers%20used%20throught%20the%20series stated that it takes place in the 90's]], just with added modern tech.
* Rigby decides to name the fake band he and Mordecai make up as "Mordecai and the Rigbys". Knowing Rigby, wouldn't he want top billing?
** "Rigby and the Mordecais"? It doesn't have the same ring to it.
** Well, he does respect Mordecai and sees him as a "Big Brother" figure.
** Well, the name indicates that there are two Rigbys and just one Mordecai. So there is more of Rigby?
*** [[HilariousInHindsight Well, there's Doug.]]
** Bear in mind they were drunk ([[{{FrothyMugsOfWater}} on soda]]?) when the shirts were ordered. Their band was supposed to be called "Mustache Cashstache." Obviously, Rigby screwed up and once the shirts got there, it was too late to change it.
* In the "Ello Guv'nor" episode, we got an explanation for the phone call, fax, and even the taxi following them. But what about this... mark on the toilet paper?
** It's a bathroom connected to a garage. Maybe some TP rolled out of the room. Or maybe Pops bought some decorative paper. Or Rigby's just paranoid.
** Maybe a game would make it a plot point.
* How exactly is it possible for High-Five Ghost to high five?
** He might be a poltergeist.
** According to one of the storyboard artists' Formspring accounts, High-Fives turns temporarily corporeal so he can deliver some sick high-fives.
** "See You There" has Low-Five Ghost say that ghosts can pass through 'real stuff if [they] want', implying it's a voluntary thing.
* In "The Unicorns Have Got to Go", Rigby goes outside and talks to Mordecai on the stairs after being forced out of his and Mordecai's room because of the unicorns farting on him. Then Mordecai says (paraphrased), "When Benson gets untied, it'll suck for you." How does Mordecai know that Benson is tied up? He could have been in the room earlier, but Mordecai doesn't seem like the kind of guy to just leave his boss tied up and tortured and I don't think that he hates Benson that much anyway. He could have been exiled like Rigby was, but I'm still bugged by this. So, A.) How did he know that Benson was tied up? and to a lesser extent, B.) If he HAD been in the room, why didn't he (or Rigby, for that matter) try to help Benson?
** It was a gang of unicorns. I don't think Mordecai could help Benson if he wanted to.
** Mordecai-Benson fans love this and imagine that Mordecai lent a hand in tying Benson up.
** MORDECAI IS A WIZARD BRO
* In the power, Rigby says he couldn't bring Skips back from the moon because they have to see him while using the keyboard. But Rigby can send a bunch of ducks and a soda fountain to the moon off screen. What?
** "Off screen" doesn't mean he can't see them. They are in a park, so the ducks were probably just walking by, and if the soda machine doesn't work, they were probably throwing it out, and he probably saw it in/near the dumpster. He was in a pretty open space. The real question is, where did he see the monster?
*** Well, considering all the [[EldritchAbomination Eldritch Abominations]] in the show it's possible that there was a monster around. Someone else in the Regular Show universe could have had a similar force like the keyboard or the monster could have been there already.
*** It's also possible that he just made it himself and sent it there.
* How does Pops's car fly?
** I just assumed Pops has magic powers. Its the only explanation.
** RuleOfFunny. Also, it's a callback to Quintel's student film "The Naive Man from Lolliland".
*** Because Pops comes from the land of Lolliland- a place inhabited by lollipops where the rules of human normalcy don't exist. Lollipops are used as a form of currency, and cars fly. Or perhaps Pops is so wealthy he can afford a flying car. He IS the show's most eccentric character, so it wouldn't be too much of a stretch.
* In "More Smarter", Rigby uses the phrase "[[TitleDrop more smarter]]". Muscle Man corrects him by saying that it should be "more smart". However, he SHOULD have corrected him with the word "smarter", not "more smart", as "more smart" is also improper. It's a small thing, I know, but...
** HypocriticalHumor.
** That's the whole point of the joke.
* Why was 'First Day'...well...that? It was just the pilot with a few minor additions. (Mostly the beginning, which is the only way you would even know it was their first day besides Muscle Man's comment of 'Hey, What're the new guys doing?'). I just wish it was...i dunno...special.
** They wanted to include the pilot, and they needed to make it longer to fit. Simple as that.
* Why was Muscle Man so pissed at Rigby and Mordecai for spilling soda on his face? It was an accident and he deserved it anyway since he just sat there and laughed while Rigby was choking.
** Because its [[JerkAss Muscle Man.]]

* Do the foxes visible in the audiences in the episodes "Mordecai and the Rigby's" and "Caffeinated Concert Tickets" have any significance whatsoever? Or are they simply meant to show that Mordecai, Rigby, Margaret, Eileen, and Skips aren't the only {{Funny Animal}}s?
** The show is full of random, non-human citizens. Look at Mordecai's internet dates, including C.J.

* Benson sounded like he wanted M&R to learn a lesson about not tattling on co-workers in the spray paint episode, but it seemed to have been dropped, why?
** He wanted them to learn that it's ''right'' to report your coworkers to the supervisor when they misbehave.

* It appears that, in the original pilot, Mordecai and Rigby didn't share a room. Fair enough; obviously things change from the pilot to the series. And I thought it was cool that they put the pilot into an episode, because the pilot is really cool. The thing that bothers me, though, is that they didn't change the dialogue to reflect that they now share a room. Did anyone else catch that? They show Mordecai and Rigby sharing a room in one scene, then in the next they're eating breakfast and discussing how their rooms, plural, don't have furniture in them. And Rigby says he had to sleep on the floor that previous night when obviously Mordecai was aware of that, having also slept on the floor only a few feet away. It's a small, nitpicky thing, I know, but it wouldn't take a lot just to alter the dialogue a bit.

* In Under The Hood, why didn't anyone just take two seconds to check the orange stains on Muscle Man's shirt? They'd know instantly whether it was wing sauce or paint. It'd be pretty messed up to fire someone without even checking something simple like that.

* Really minor, but in Eggscellent, when Mordecai punched Benson for bad mouthing Rigby, how did Benson's face not break since...you know...his face is made of glass!
** Have you ever punched a gumball machine? Even using your full strength, the only thing you'd probably accomplish is injuring your own hand.
** Slightly off-topic here, but bear with me: I read something a few days ago that reminded me of this exact question. It stated that there was, in the 1950's or some time around then, an epidemic of people knocking over gumball machines so the gumball machine would smash and the people would steal the candy inside. They tried attaching the gumball machines to things, but they just took bats and smashed them that way. After complaints were made to major gumball machine manufacturers, they started making gumball machines with much stronger glass (apparently about the same toughness as airplane windows) to stop this from happening. [[AndKnowingIsHalfTheBattle So now you know.]]
** Also, why didn't Benson attempt to fire Mordecai immediately afterwards?
*** I thought it's been made pretty clear since the episode where Benson has been replaced by Susan, that he doesn't actually ''desire'' to fire them.
*** Because Mordecai was rightfully pissed Benson said Rigby ''almost dying and still at risk while being in an allergy coma was karma for not working'', something he recognized was wrong to say. Even if he didn't recognize how awful it was soon after Mordecai left, the others were there and would no doubt take their side, especially if Benson actually thought about firing him.

* Completing the 12-egg omelet challenge in under an hour sends Mordecai to a ''Last Crusade''-style dungeon where he has to pick the correct "I'm Eggscellent" hat or die. If the waiters are willing to actively prevent customers from finishing the challenge in time to spare them from that, ''why do they even offer the challenge in the first place?''
** Well considering the last guy who beat there challenge died by picking the wrong hat. They probably didn't want to explain again why there was another missing person.
*** Not to mention hurt there business. In all the times Mordecai visited that place, how many did you see besides him did you see eating there?
*** So, it's basically "offer this challenge that may very well kill anybody who manages to complete it or we'll go out of business"? Wow.
*** They are contractually bound by the laws of the restaurant to offer and serve it. IT'S OUT OF THEIR CONTROL.
** The waiters mention that they have no choice. Maybe they care and want to prevent it, but the owner doesn't care. Or wants people to die. In a show where Death is a person, it's not too hard to believe the owner is helping out Death.

* In the episode "Over the Top" how is Skips able to look up Playco Armboy on a web browser when, in "Skips vs. Technology" he can't even open a web browser, much less navigate one.
** Just a minor ContinuitySnarl - the writers couldn't exactly foresee the plots of future episodes when writing that one, after all. Good eye, though, I didn't catch that myself.
*** It could be possible that Over the Top happened after Skips vs. Technology
** The computer Skips logged onto to may have already had the browser opened up by someone, like maybe Mordecai.
* Why is Mordecai so upset at Rigby for switching his fortune with Benson's when Muscle Man switched his with Rigby's only a few moments ago? As a matter of fact why didn't Mordecai or Skips stop Muscle Man from switching fortunes if it causes so much trouble?
** Mordecai and Skips didn't see/notice Muscle Man switch fortunes. They didn't know.
** Mordecai's reaction is mixture of sympathy and guilt. Benson has to deal with a lot in his line of work, being a manager of park is no easy task. Not to mention Mordecai and Rigby are usually the cause of most, if not all, his stress. So seeing Benson happy about his good luck streak is giving him peace of mind.
* If the Magical Elements were striking out and forcing the Strikers to miss the pins, how were they neck and neck at the end? It didn't show them missing a single time.
** Maybe the only reason they got to the finals was because they were cheating?
** Perhaps they missed off-screen? Maybe they didn't use magic for the first few balls...
* Okay, so there's been several episodes establishing that Benson's starting to become at least semi-sympathetic towards Mordecai and Rigby (the one with the stick hockey comes to mind, and especially the one with Susan) and overall, he's not intended as a BadBoss, just a little [[HairTriggerTemper short-fused]] at times. So what the ''hell'' was up with him in 'Best Burger in the World'? He was getting into straight-up JerkAss territory! It just bothers me that several seasons worth of building him up as a reasonable guy who just gets irritated with people slacking off is thrown out the window just for a one-off gag. Mordecai and Rigby ''were'' working and getting the job done, more so than they've really ever been seen doing, and yet he just berates and mocks them near-constantly - ''and'' he wins in [[DownerEnding the end!]]
** In all fairness they were spending a large amount of effort into just building and operating a hologram machine rather than working.
*** Fair point, but he was being an ass ''way'' before the hologram scene even happened.
*** Not more so than a normal person would be when forcing someone to do work they should have done ages ago. He was being mean, but not unbelievably so.
** To be fair, he was doing a lot better than he has been, what with all the not raging and everything. Plus, Mordecai and Rigby have been shown to be at the end of their rope several times, with Benson being pretty close to firing them, and even going so far as to fire them in the next episode. This is probably Benson following the letter of the law Pops laid down in Think Positive.
** Poster of the second comment; Just saw it for a second time.
*** I honestly think he was at his most jerkass state in this episode. True he wasn't threatening to fire them and put on the streets, but he was stopping them from getting literally the best burger in the world, the one only available every 100 years, making them do a weeks worth of work in a few hours, including emptying out a garage with a device clearly too heavy for them to lift, laughing at them for it, and then eating BOTH their burgers that they paid for with their own money, when he could have easily just confiscated their burgers until their work was finished.
*** They only had that much work to do because they hadn't done it when they were supposed to. And it may be the best burger in the world, but it's just a fucking burger. Mordecai & Rigby brought it on themselves, and Benson wanting to get back at them (in a relatively harmless way, too) was totally reasonable.
*** Regardless of how much work they needed to do, it was not Benson's place to 1.) Stop them from eating at all costs and 2.) Take and eat food which they paid for with their own money. Sure this is a cartoon, but a Supervisor who confiscated the lunch of his employees would surely be subject to SOME type of disciplinary action, should word of it get around to those above him. Benson was most definitely treading Jerk Ass territory here.
* How the hell can Benson ''eat''? He's a friggin' gumball machine for crying out loud! There's no digestive tract, just gumballs and metal!
** RuleOfFunny? RuleOfCool?
** The only way to “explain” (he he he) Benson eating all the chilli at “Weekend at Benson’s” while he was unconscious, is because he has no digestive track and Mordecai and Rigby just put all the chilli in his mouth and it pass to his stomach or whatever he has.
** Who's to say Benson doesn't have a digestive tract? He is a living gumball machine. If he eats, he must have some way of digesting it.
*** Nah, it probably just goes down him, and the food goes down to the dispenser part of him.
** Weirder still, a line in "The Lunch Club" implies that Benson chews gum. Also, the first episode with the unicorns shows that he is a functioning gumball machine.
** [[WildMassGuessing He could be some robot that's able to use food as an energy source]]. That or he's magic.
* Of course it's the whole point of Mordecai and Rigby's characterizations to be slackers on the job, but does anyone else think that the writers were laying it on a bit too thick in "Think Positive"? At their worst in other episodes, they weren't that (consistently) bad.
** Well, sort of. There's nothing that says ''all'' of that happened in just one day. I assumed all of the incidents that Pops saw took place over, say, a week or so. Still, though, washing the car with sandpaper? Lying around contemplating the word 'hose' instead of working? ''Painting the shed with their bodies and then breaking it?!'' They're supposed to slack off and try to get out of doing work, not be utter morons, the likes of which think that watering flowers with diet soda is a good idea...
** That was weird for Mordecai's character, but then when you stop and think about it, in "House Rules" when he got the message about 'Rigby dying young' that really shook him up. When you're upset about something like that, you don't think straight, which could explain the 'washing the car with sandpaper' thing for example. Plus it seems like he just wanna chill out and hang out with his buddy while he still feels he can At least that's how this troper sees it.
** [[SincerityMode Maybe...]]
** Deliberately ticking off Benson would seem like a good way of getting back at him. I mean, after that long on the job, his yelling would probably lose most of its effect.
*** Or they knew (or figured out) that no matter what they did, Benson couldn't yell at them or Pops would fire him. I'm sure anyone in this situation would want to push their boss's buttons as much as possible, knowing he had no way to retaliate without losing his job. They only stopped when Benson's bottled-up anger nearly destroyed the park.
* Are the writers just loving KickTheDog moments to Mordecai? Along with "Best Burgers In the World" and the latest episode of him thinking Margaret getting engaged it feels like they're making him a ChewToy. Which is weird because it looked like him and Margaret were gonna go out in "Trash Boat" and before that "Butt Dial" it seemed like she was into him.
** It was his own fault in "Yes Dude Yes". He should've ask who that guy was instead of jumping to the wrong conclusion. And he asked Margaret out to the movies when he ALREADY asked CJ out and hurt CJ's feelings! It was because of his own thoughtlessness that this happened. As for "Trash Boat", Margaret may not have ever even know, he was saving up to ask her out and Mordecai wasn't going to let Rigby die.
*** Well why hasn't Mordecai ever called out Margaret for having a new boyfriend almost every time she sees him and yet she's jealous of when CJ was with Mordecai? No wonder why some fans keep Margaret a slut.
*** Right!
*** Um, because Mordecai is relatively mature and likes Margaret? Margaret is not beholden to Mordecai in any way shape or form. She can date as many men as she wants, start as many relationships as she wants. There is no mention of her having sex with these men and even if there were the fact remains that Mordecai is mindlessly pining for a girl and barely making a move. He was thoughtless, he was inconsiderate and he deeply hurt C.J.'s feelings. Benson had a point, he was pathetic for being so depressed over a girl he barely made a move on.
*** Not to mention Slut-Shaming on Margaret's end just for going on dates, which is what most 20 something year olds do, not her fault Mordecai couldn’t make a move.
* In ''Rage Against the TV,'' why didn't Pops, Benson's boss, force him to let Mordecai and Rigby borrow his TV? He was there and he wanted to see the final boss of the game.
** Because the video game was unrelated to work and it wouldn't be professional to force Benson to share his personal TV from home just for something that is... well... entirely pointless.
* Why would Mordecai and Rigby worry about getting in trouble in ''Party Pete''? Skips was in charge and he allowed the party, so if anything, Skips would be the one getting in trouble.
** Benson blames Mordecai and Rigby for ''everything''. Skips allowing them to throw the party would have been irrelevant to him.
* In "Fortune Cookie", the episode where Benson's good luck is stolen by Rigby through Fortune Cookies, how can Benson bet the park when he's not the owner of the park (Pops's Dad is)?
** Benson was so desperate to get money that he didn't care.
** The warlock probably didn’t care, and it’s not like Mr Mallard could’ve fought him or anything.
* Another one from "Fortune Cookie": when the group is receiving their food, we cut to right after they finished their meals (before receiving their fortune cookies). While the camera is focused on their leftovers, you can see Rigby with a visibly swollen stomach like the others. One cut later, Rigby's swollen stomach is gone and he says that he hasn't even gotten the soup he ordered yet.
* Why does Eileen look absolutely nothing like a mole, and more like a midget human with a tail?
** Is ''that'' what she is? She looked like a human-faced beaver to me.
** SlidingScaleOfAnthropomorphism
* High Five Ghost says he can't hang out with Muscle Man in Gut Model because Low Five Ghost is graduating from the police academy, but how can LFG become a cop when he had to be bailed out of jail in See You There?
** It apparently is possible to become a cop even with a criminal record if you've been a model citizen since the offense. LFG may be trying to turn his life around after whatever he did that got him jailed.
** Well, picking a person up from the police station isn't always the same as bailing somebody out. So he was probably visiting a friend of his, who was likely in jail.
* If Rigby was put into a life threatening coma in "Eggcellent" because he was allergic to eggs, how did he manage to eat a raw egg in the Halloween episode without any side effects?
** Well, the events described in the Halloween episodes weren't canon, just part of the scary story contest or whatever the framing device was right? If so, he may have just thought it was a better story if the version of him in the story wasn't allergic and ate it.
*** He probably forgot.
*** Even if it was canon, he only ate one. Maybe the only reason he was put in a life-threatening coma was because he tried to eat a 12-Egg omelet in an hour, which was obviously too much for his body to handle. Also, he probably panicked because a cop was there and he did it to "prove" that they weren't out egging houses.
* Why do the Guardians of Eternal Youth want to kill skips in the episode "Free Cake" when he is the only known immortal who can kill Klorgbane the Destroyer?
** Mordecai and Rigby later were able to do it. It seems that Skips isn't the only one (and the Guardians know it), but he was the first and so they grant him immortality if he defeats Klorgbane and if he does that ritual.
* "Weekend at Benson's": So, why exactly would Benson's neighbor invite her ex (who she clearly can't stand) to a party at her own house?
** I got Two possible explanations. 1.) He came there with a friend and she didn't want to kick out both or 2.) She invited him there to be the better ex and try to stay on good term with him.
* [[Recap/RegularShowS03Ep37FuzzyDice Fuzzy Dice]]: How did Pops ever knew about the Fuzzy Dice from the Fun Fun Zone, he can't go in by himself since he's not a child.
** Pops went to Fun Fun Zone as kid and he always wanted them?
*** There couldn't have been a [[SuckECheeses Fun Fun Zone]] when he was a kid, because:
A) He's over 100 years old.
B) Arcade games didn't exist in the early 20th century.
** Or maybe Pops called himself "a kid at heart" and that was good enough.
** Pops is a human lollipop, so it's hard to tell what his age is. Sure, he has a mustache, but he acts enough like a kid that everyone probably overlooked it.
** Perhaps the Fun Fun Zone changed its policy for entering sometime after Pops knew about the fuzzy dice? In the beginning of the episode, EVERYBODY, Mordecai, Rigby, etc, was talking about how much they hated the Fun Fun Zone, so unless they all had younger relatives go there, or something, there has to be a reason why they ALL didn't like it.
* Air Hockey do not give out tickets in real life, since it's a two player game where one player have to win. If They actually give out tickets in the Fun Fun Zone, two people can team up together to rack up tickets by taking quick dives.
** It's Regular Show. Since when do things play by real life standards?
** Plus, as many tickets as it takes to get even the cruddiest of prizes, it doesn't really matter how generous they are with tickets.
* Why did they hire Thomas? We're given no explanation as to why they needed to hire another guy.
** He is an intern, they don't have to pay him or anything, he works for credit in a college class, so why not?
* Where the hell was Mr. Mallard during the events of "Exit 9B"? Also does anyone notice he rarely appears in the series lately?
** Keep in mind that they changed ''everyone's'' minds. It's not a stretch to assume that Bobby changed Maellard's mind as well.
* In "Exit 9B", How can Garrett Bobby Ferguson have a son? Especially one who's already an adult. He never had a wife.
** Probably playing crochet. Or maybe they got to his mind too- just offscreen.
** A one night stand? We don't know ''what'' exactly he is, so maybe he doesn't ''need'' a wife, or GBF Jr. is a clone or something.
* Is Rigby just not allergic to eggs anymore? In "Eggcellent" it almost killed him, but in "One Pull Up" he's fine.
** Maybe the Eggcellent hat gave him an egg immunity when it revived him.
* Why does everyone assume that Rigby is either gonna die or leave Mordecai as of House Rules? There were no rules saying that Future Mordecai could have been lying or that he was Mordecai's definitive future self?
** People just love to speculate. Despite the fact that Rigby has died at least 3 times (coming back each time), and despite the fact that old Mordecai didn't exactly say Rigby was going to ''die'', people either like to speculate or jump to conclusions.
** Hell, it's Regular Show! Since when is anything remotely stable or concrete? People took that line far too seriously.
*** In retrospect, yeah we all took that too seriously. Back then it was a shocker to hear that Rigby was going to die (as in, perma-die), and we didn't really have a reason to not believe in Mordecai.
* Does Skips no longer have to seclude himself and do the spirit dance every year on his birthday to maintain his eternal youth? In "Fists of Justice", he is seen celebrating his birthday with everyone. Did the cake given to the Guardians of Eternal Youth in "Free Cake" nullify the pact with Skips?
** Maybe he went out and did the dance after (or before) the get-together?
** Since "Free Cake", everybody knows he has to do the ritual. They presumably organized the party so that Skips had time for both.
* Extremely minor nitpick: Goose poop is green, not white. Oddly, they got everything else about goose behavior right (extremely territorial, ill-tempered, really shape-shifting alien beings seeking to terraform the world for their own purposes, etc.), so the one minor detail they didn't kind of sticks out.

* In "Fancy Restaurant" if Starla knew what her parents were really like, why didn't she just tell them what Mitch was really like?
** They wanted to impress Mitch as much as he wanted to impress them.
* So hey, am I the only one who realizes who absolutely terrible Margaret (and to a lesser extent Eileen) is being during "Cruisin'"? She knows Mordecai and Rigby are broke, but was planning on forcing them to spend obscene amounts of money on her, and later just rubs their faces in it by trying to make them spend more money on some guy she likely just met. Then, when she loses the bet, she all but refuses to spend a dime on them, instead pretty much seducing Mordecai into taking absolutely no advantage of the bet he had won.
** Maybe they weren't actually going to go through with it and just wanted to make the boys sweat.
* Wait, so Mordecai has always wanted to date a girl named "The Power?" The hell?
** This troper always assumed he never met a girl with such a name, he just thought it would be cool if some girl was called that. As for why he would like such a name... I don't know.
** It wouldn't be out of character for him if he was just playing along.
* In "Prank Callers," Mordecai's first prank call to the Master Pranker is INCREDIBLY poorly thought out. WHY would a pizza DELIVERY guy CALL someone to let them know that THEY'VE got their pizzas? He thought he could prank the Master Pranker with THAT?
** It was well established that Mordecai and Rigby were absolutely mediocre at making prank calls. (Unless you think "Joe Mama" is a great prank.)
* Why was the Master Pranker's number in the phone book? You'd think this guy would have an unlisted number, seeing as Mordecai and Rigby can't be the first to prove their pranking skills by pranking the best.
** He probably put it there himself just to be smug, and Mordecai and Rigby were the first to try pranking him repeatedly.
* "Sugar Rush": Why did it take several doughnuts to take Pops to the higher sugar plane, but only one bite each for Mordecai, Rigby, and Skips? Is it because Pops is more tolerant to sugar (being a lollipop, and all)?
** Well Skips did mention that he's seen this happen to Pops before so he could've built a sugar tolerance.
** It's possible that Pops is a sentient lollipop, so being made of sugar probably gives him more of a tolerance.
* Another from "Sugar Rush": Skips didn't enter the second sugar plane with Mordecai, Rigby, and Pops. But since he was still in the first sugar plane, shouldn't he have only been about 1/2 the speed that they were, as opposed to completely slowed down and pitch black like everything else in the park?
** Despite not being on the same sugar plane, Skips is still faster than everyone on the normal plane.
* The end of "Steak Me Amadeus". So... Is Margaret not aware that long-distance relationships are a thing?
** Probably she thinks it wouldn't be fair to subject Mordecai to a type of relationship with a bigger chance of not working so she prefers to let him move on and look for other interests... or maybe she wouldn't be able to take the fact she won't be able to see Mordecai for a long time.
* In "Sugar Rush", why did they get the same kind of doughnuts that caused the problems before?
** They where in a hurry so they probably weren't thinking straight and didn't notice.
** Who said they did? Note how it took a bunch to send Muscle Man to the higher Sugar Plane. It probably took much more to achieve the same effect.
*** This makes sense, since only the ones they bought were double glazed by accident. Presumably, the ones Muscle Man ate were single glazed.
** Additionally, Benson complains about the lack of the whle wheat donut at the end of the episode? Did the group forget to buy it, or did they actually buy it only for Muscle Man to eat it too?
*** Assuming Muscle Man ate it (as it's not uncommon for him to be a big eater), exactly to what sugar plane did he go to? And what is his sugar tolerance level compared to Pops?
*** Higher than the gang took to reach the third sugar plane, that's for sure. Sounds like a good plot for a fanfic.
* How come Benson doesn't rust when he takes a bath?
** Maybe he's plastic?
** That, or he could be made of a non-rusting metal.
*** Maybe tin? I heard that's extremely resistant to corrosion.
* The Bounty Hunter in 'Benson's Car' claims violence is outlawed in the future. If so, how did he manage to get a voice-activated gun mounted on his arm? If he got it in the future, how did he manage to get around with an illegal possession in plain sight? If he got it in the present, how did he get access to such advanced technology?
** Well there is a good possibility that he got it in the present considering Rigby did order a time machine from a comic book ad or counter theory he got it in the future and went back to use it considering he's AxCrazy.
* In Guy's Night, why does Pops dry to drink the milk so fast? It's said in the challenge he has a hour to do so. He can just get a glass of milk, wait a few minutes, get another glass and so on until the gallons drunk with time to spare.
** He probably was just trying to prove himself by drinking it all in one sitting.
* In "Skips in Time", a strange time travel trope was both referenced and subverted offhand. Techmo remembers Walks falling into the Timenado, which he should because it's something that he was present for, but Skips doesn't remember falling in himself. What's with that?
** Well, Skips is hundreds of years old. And he's had so much crazy stuff happen in his life, he probably has trouble keeping track of it all. Meanwhile, Techmo is a cyborg and probably remembers everything.
* The egg challenge. Okay, so Mordecai had training but question - how did he ate all the eggs? (How they got all the eggs in first place?) Eating so much eggs all the time (and salad and whatever else) can't be healthy. Seriously. ...no wonder winners get teleported to another dimension.
** It was a 12-egg omelette. Eggs are sold by the dozen (12 in a pack) in supermarkets all the time. Not hard to get as many as they would need. As to eating them all? It's possible, and it's not healthy, but it won't kill him right away. That's how all food challenges are, which is why it's a CHALLENGE. It's SUPPOSED to be hard to do, if not nearly impossible.
* "Every Meat Burrito": Why didn't they just go into the restaurant and sit down, or even order something to go, rather than have to deal with the drive-thru?
** It's a drive-thru restaurant and they're not exactly big enough for everyone to go inside.
** On a similar note, if they sell meat from every animal in existence, does that mean they slaughter humans to put in the burritos? After all, it's called EVERY Meat Burritos, right? What if Rigby ate raccoon meat or Mordecai ate blue jay meat? Are they [[ImAHumanitarian accidental cannibals]]? Also, how do they gather meat from every animal species?
* Now that WordOfGod confirms that Frank Smith (a freakin' human) is actually Margaret's biological father I have one question to ask... Does J.G. Quintal even know what bestiality is?
** [[SarcasmMode No, he's a moron that has never heard of the term. I mean, the rest of Regular Show makes perfect sense, right?]]
*** At least Seth [=McFarlane=] can get away with that because Family Guy is SUPPOSED to be vulgar and controversial... that and female talking dogs don't seem to exist otherwise Brian would procreate with one but Regular Show isn't supposed to be vulgar in Family Guy levels and we find out a human did bed a cardinal and Margaret is the result! Plus she dated humans in the past and like Family Guy this is treated as normal in this world.
*** Speaking of which, why did Quintel ''choose'' to have Frank be Margaret's real dad? The sarcstic comment didn't help anything, and the guy's first question isn't even answered, but isn't this still kind of awkward?
*** I don't think he's technically been confirmed as her "biological" father. So he could easily be her step-father.
*** Actually, J.G. Quintal DID confirm Frank is indeed Margaret's biological father as seen in this link http://geek-news.mtv.com/2013/07/09/regular-show-jg-quintel-interview/ I'll go get you the brainbleach.
*** Considering that:
A) Margret's family acts more like Humans than birds
B)It's a kid's show
I assume that something like this wouldn't be considered "Bestiality"
** I'm pretty sure their are no humans or animals in TRS, just people who look all kinds of weird.
** There's that one new reporter who faked being Margeret's date and was visibly disgusted by the thought of that. Yes, Margaret's dad is probably an {{Omnisexual}}.
** Have you seen some of the characters/shit that’s gone down in this show? An anthro bird and a human hooking up and having a kid is one of the least weird things that’s happened. It’s a surrealist comedy you’re not really supposed to think about it.
* How come whenever there's a fight scene, Pops doesn't do anything? Wasn't he a wrestling champion?
** He probably only brings the smack-down when he has no choice but to. Otherwise he'd be pacifistic since violence and direct confrontation isn't exactly his thing.
** Simple- Pops is a [[LovableCoward coward]]. Unless a situation is dire enough for him to do some ass-kicking, he's usually too scared to take action.
** He once [[NoodleIncident blew up a bunch of ant-aliens with a bazooka]] at the end of "Married and Broke". He ''can'' have his DayInTheLimelight moments, and perhaps he always ''does'' do badass things. [[OffscreenMomentOfAwesome Just offscreen to hide how badass he truly is]]. The bazooka scene was only a [[{{Foreshadowing}} hint]].
* In "The Heart of a Stuntman", Muscle Man states that they practically watched Timmy (a kid who always has his birthdays at the park) grow up. A flashback is shown of his first birthday, and Mordecai and Rigby are there. He turns 10 in the episode, but Mordecai and Rigby have only worked at the park for a couple years. If they really had been there, this would mean that Mordecai and Rigby are in their early thirties. This is clearly not the case.
** [[SarcasmMode He was clearly exaggerating]]. Muscle Man said ''practically''.
** Think it was also meant to be a “remember the new guy" joke, how Timmy is this beloved kid but this is literally the only time he’s ever mentioned in the whole series
* If Rigby can run in four legs why can't Mordecai fly?
** He probably never learned how to.
** Because he's as tall and probably only 20 pounds less heavy that the average human, therefore despite being skinny, he's still too heavy to fly.
* Uh, Daylight Savings Time is when you set the clock ''forwards'', not backwards. Considering the whole plot of the episode "Saving Time" is about setting clocks correctly, how did they miss that?
** Because maybe it DST ended.
** In the Midwest (at least in this troper's area) we refer to both times you change the clock as "Daylight Savings", regardless of whether it's forwards or back. Might be what happens here.
* Regarding the episode "Skips' Story:" Why couldn't Gary or one of the other Guardians of Eternal Youth defeat Klorgbane (especially considering they made the Fists of Justice that are able to do so)? And if Desdemona was actually Skips' high school girlfriend whom he seems to have only known for a year, how in the world can she be the love of his life? I realize that she was supposed to be his OneTrueLove, but previous episodes made it seem as though they were adults who had a long relationship, thus giving that more credibility. Shouldn't Skips' ideas about love have changed between his high school years and now?
** Well, some people believe that anyone can experience true love at any age.
** As for why they none of them would fight Klorgbane themselves... well, it's about the same reason a lot of people being physically bullied don't stand up to their bullies: they don't think they can take him. (Archibald did, but [[KilledOffForReal we know how that worked out down the road...]]) The Fists of Justice don't just swing themselves. You have to actually know how to ''fight'', too. Skips did. Mordecai and Rigby did. The Guardians and Gary don't.
* In "Family BBQ" why does Mordecai need a bathing suit? He usually walks around naked anyway. He wasn't even wearing pants when he first arrived at the BBQ.
** Maybe the writers thought it would be awkward to see Mordecai get in the pool "naked". He could also just be insecure about his certain something.
* What made Margaret think her pie stood a chance in the contest? It clearly looked terrible.
** Because maybe she's [[BlessedWithSuck that horrible at cooking]].
* Why are they allowed to drive the golf cart in the city? Arent there laws against that (i know, RuleOfFunny and all, but still,,)?
** In the episode "My Mom", a cop drove by the group in the cart(which was being driven while in the city), led by Muscle Man(who was manning the cart), and admired Muscle Man for knowing how to break the law. Which means that either the PoliceAreUseless, or the cop was one of Muscle Man's friends.
* Why would Margaret not tell her friends she's back in town?
** Perhaps she knows that Mordecai would still be upset over losing her, unaware he's with CJ now.
** Either that or she just didn't think of doing so.
* Why did the Guardians of Eternal Youth care what flavour the cake was if they weren't going to eat it?
** They probably cared about how the cake smells and how it feels to rub on their faces. Taste is only one of the five senses.
* Why do the main characters have skinny legs? Mordecai and Margaret makes some sense, being birds, but the other main characters also have skinny legs, even when it makes little to no sense (Pops, Muscle Man, Skips). Some of the non-regular characters DO have normal-sized legs as well (ie, Death), which makes it even odder.
** It's...[[MST3KMantra Just the artstyle?]]
* In "Park Manager's Lunch", why was Benson screaming in terror when he knew he was going to be cut free and let into the Park Managers' brotherhood?
** A cheat in the narrative.
** InUniverse reason: maybe screaming was part of the initiation.
* Wouldn't a "pizza sub" just be a calzone?
* What would be the point of "Initiation week" (as seen in Starter Pack)? Pulling pranks (albiet non-malicious ones) on new employees seems more like a way to discourage people from working there.
* Does CJ even have a job and if so what is it?
** Possibly at an electronics store. In "I Like You Hi" she mentioned she can watch TV at work.
** According to the crew's podcast for "Rigby's Graduation Day Special" she's a museum tour guide.
* Throughout the series, the characters have been shown to be drunk. But what is it that gets them drunk? Is it the soda, which can make for a good substitute in a kids show, but in later episodes, such as "Dodge This" and "Men in Uniform", it seems that wings from the restaurant Wing Kingdom can get them drunk as well (oddly enough). So I'm wondering if its the soda or the wings that get them drunk, or both?
** Sounds like a case of substituting soda and wings for beer.
* In which state does this show take place (its been established they do live in America)? They drove to Mexico in one episode so it must take place somewhere near the border, but which state?
** In 'Skips vs. Technology,' it's also said that the Park is on an old Revolutionary War battlefield (both in the flashback being labeled "The Park" and Techmo's dialogue upon showing up). The Revolutionary War's battlefields were not close enough to the modern day Mexican border to be a quick drive over/in a current border state.
** The Regular Show universe's version of the American Revolution may have covered a much larger territory, since it probably involved supernatural beings, teleportation, magic, etc.
** Confirmed to be California in "Rigby's Graduation Day Special".
* Why was Mordecai sent to Dumptown, USA after going on a break with CJ? Going on a break isn't the same thing as breaking up.
** [[SarcasmMode Because she secretly hates Modercai and wants to kill him]].
** He was still dumped in a sense, he doesn’t have a girlfriend anymore. Also at the beginning of the episode Rigby says "CJ dumped him" so maybe sometime after Muscle Man's wedding she permanently ended things. Or Mordecai just said they were "taking a break" so it sounded better and it didn’t set in that things were over until later.
* Why did Ross have plutonium to begin with? The way the Principle reacts in the ending all but states that he got it illegally (hence the prison term), but this was well before he concocted his "overly complicated revenge scheme".
* If Skips is so smart, why is he stuck working at a park?
** It feels like it's home to him due to his LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG history with the Park.
** Maybe because he's knows that it gives him a cheap place to live.
** Probably for the same reason that Muscle Man works there- he genuinely likes his job.
* If Margaret's mother is a Cardinal and her father is a human... why isn't she a Harpy or any other human/bird hybrid?
** Possibly a stepfather.
*** Nope, WordOfGod explained that Frank is Margaret's biological father... and yet this doesn't seem to bother J.G Quental nor his fans.
*** [[{{Irony}} But you're a fan]].
* Is Rigby gay? If he has "special feelings" for Mordecai, doesn't that mean he's gay and might only be pretending to be straight by dating Eileen?
** Unlikely. They are both married to women and have children 25 years later in the finale.
* So in the last episode it's revealed that Pops is a very powerful being of god-like origin. So why is he such a ButtMonkey in the series? How could a demigod-like being have so many near-death experiences?
** Because he didn't knew about his powers, just remember that Pops, unlike his brother Anti Pops didn't really knew of his godly origins till mid-way Season 8, and the flashbacks with Mr. Maellard preventing Pops from seeing Lolliland, showed that when he repressed his anger so did his powers, so its probable that he could only manifest his powers until the time for his fated duel drew closer.
* Question about the finale- why was Benson the one who put flowers on Pops' grave? Wouldn't it have made more sense for Mr. Maellard to do so, seeing as how Pops was his son?
** Perhaps he was too distraught. As for why Benson did it, he seemed to have the closest friendship with Pops throughout the series.
* Whatever happened to Mrs. Maellard? We saw cameos of her in "Skips vs Technology" and "The Ice Tape", but she never appeared in the present day, and was absent from the flashbacks in "Pops Favorite Planet".
** Presumably, she died when Pops was young.
* If both Pops and Mr Maellard died, then who owns now the Park?
** Probably Benson, after all he's technically the second in command of the park and stayed working there after Pop's death it'll only make sense that Maellard passed on his ownership to Benson on his deathbed, or somewhere between the 25 year skip.
* Just what was Anti-Pops doing while his good brother was on Earth working at a park, and why did he never go directly to Pops instead of waiting for him to come to space? In fact, one episode has four of the heroes get frozen for ''thousands'' of years, and in that time the world is never erased. It's probably more likely this guy was thought up only in time for the last season, but still.
* Unexplained Mysteries:
** 1. How did Benson and Audrey breakup?
** 2. What about Jackie Carmichael, the antagonist of the episode Local News Legend? Last time I saw a drop of her liquid metal body was near the end of the episode. I was expecting her to make a return for vengeance, but this never happened. Speaking of this episode, even if Margaret tried to upload the footage, everybody knew about it because they're watching it right now anyways, right?
** 3. What was Gene's involvement in the dome project anyway?
*** I guess we won’t know how/why Benson and Audrey split. That was part of the joke in ”The Real Thomas" that it was a whole thing and no one remembered.
* If the lady who tried to run Mordecai and Rigby off the road in "Take the Cake" didn't know how to read, then how the hell did she get a driver's license in the first place?
** Maybe she doesn't have one and just stole the car?
* An inconsistency on the writer's part: In "Skips vs. Technology", it is shown that Skips is rather inept when it comes to computers, with no clue whatsoever on how ''a mouse works'', let alone with using computer programs. However, in an earlier episode, ("Over the Top"), when Skips learns about the [=PlayCo=] Arm-Boy, he is clearly using the Internet just fine. Considering that the show is rather consistent with minor bits in the series (see "setting up the chairs"), it's surprising that this was missed.
** It is possible that "Skips vs. Technology" happened before that episode.
* In "The Power", Rigby accidentally sends Skips to the moon by singing, "It's time for you to go to the moon!" Except...he sung that to rhyme with Mordecai's line in the song, which was "It's time for you to go to your room." Since they were both using The Power, why didn't Skips get transported to his room first?
** From what I've seen, The Power sees Rigby as the master. That is, while it's happy to follow out an order for Mordecai, it'll follow Rigby's orders if they happen to oppose Mordecai's.
** Maybe he went to his room first and THEN the moon?
* In "Saving Time", why was Benson's entire apartment building moved to a different time zone? Benson's clocks were the only ones that were changed. The only possible scenarios are that nobody else in his building owned a clock, or every other resident ''also'' set their clocks to the same incorrect time zone for whatever reason.
* In "Return of Mordecai and the Rigbys", when all of the park members collapse of heatstroke, instead of calling an ambulance or getting some medical attention, they all get booed and place last.
** Someone must’ve called as they wake up in the hospital.
* In "Prankless", a balloon tapping a bed taped to the ceiling is apparently enough to bring the whole damn thing down.
* In "Format Wars II", [=DVDs=] and the Internet are seen as novel concepts [[TechnologyMarchesOn despite them being released in a day and age where they've become very popular]]. What message were the show makers trying to get across?
** Mordecai and Rigby, among other characters, have also used the Internet in the past...
** Watsonian answer: Because of J.G. Quintel's [[AuthorAppeal likes]], retro tech co-exists with modern day technolgy. By slightly poking fun of themselves they can keep at it with the whole retro aesthetic, and avoid the choice of ignoring [[TechnologyMarchesOn modern-day tech]].
** Doylist answer: [[WordOfGod This show takes place during the 90's]]. Yup. Also, [[FridgeBrilliance because of the whole]] "NewTechnologyIsEvil" [[FridgeBrilliance idea, the Internet is seen as such]].
** Alternatively, it was just a parody of "new technology bad" and wasn't meant to be taken seriously, ya goofs.
* If Mordecai and Rigby had access to a time device which they used in "Exit 9B", why couldn't they use it in "The Best Burgers in the World" to prevent Benson from eating theirs?
** They don't need time-travel to fix everything, and it's not like a burger is worth getting a time-machine for. Plus, wasn't it stashed away for a long time? In all likelihood, until Exit 9B happened they probably just forgot about it. We ''are'' talking about Mordecai and Rigby, after all.
* Has Mordecai and Rigby actually interact with Mr. Maellard the owner of the park and their actual boss?
** Well, if I'm recalling correctly... "Lunchtime Limousine" would be an example, plus what with all the dome episodes and episodes after.
* How exactly does nudity work in this universe? Mordecai, Rigby and Benson are the only workers who rarely wear clothes and everyone’s ok with this. Also how can Mordecai claim he goes commando if he doesn’t even wear pants?
** Because people like Mordecai and Rigby don't need to wear clothes (their naughty bits are covered by fur and feathers), it's socially acceptable for them to do so.
* What would happen if someone tried to use Benson like a real gumball machine (inserting a quarter, turning the knob, and receiving their gumball)? Does losing a gumball act as losing a limb to him?
** There are plenty of times shown when he loses his gumballs, such as by falling on the floor. Most notably though, is when the unicorns turn his switch to receive a gumball.
