----
* In the very first episode of the series, Uncle introduces Jade to Jackie as Jackie's "cousin Shin's girl from Hong Kong". If Jackie and Jade's father are cousins, that would make Jade and Jackie (first) cousins (once removed) as well; not uncle and niece. However for the remainder of the series, they are referred to as being uncle and niece and the subject is never brought up again.
** This also begs the validity of Uncle Chan's relation to both characters as well; is he really Jackie's uncle or do they just call him "Uncle" and leave it at that?
** Eh, it's easier and less confusing to call one's older relative "uncle". Even Jade's parents admit it when they too call Uncle "uncle" then admit he's actually their cousin.
** China has a very different kinship structure than the West. Possibility exists that the formal term Jade would call Jackie by could be loosely translated to "uncle" in English.
*** More specifically, China is one of several countries where "uncle" is simply a term of respect for an older man. It's possible he's not actually related to any of them and is just a longtime family friend.
** His exact relationship to them (beyond 'Uncle') was never supposed to make sense. Thats part of the joke.

* "Enter the Viper": So Jackie can't persuade the museum curator to give him the talisman. Fine. But he works for Section 13! They're "law enforcement" and have credible information about a known criminal threat to that talisman's safety. Why can't Captain Black just issue a government order on the museum or something?
** While that does bring a good point, remember this is the first season. Captain Black doesn't believe in magic like the Chans do. If Black were to issue a government order, he'd have to explain to his superiors and have it approved, which they most likely wouldn't. A good example to back this up is in "The J-Team" when Black says his hands were tied and all Dark Hand matters were re-assigned to Section 12. If Section 13's superiors deny a request, Black can't really do anything about it.

* In the episode where Finn (of the Enforcers) gets a Shawdowkhan mask stuck to the seat of his pants, why doesn't he realize that he can pull the pants down to use the bathroom?
** Because that STILL means he's exposing himself to a demon general. Er, oni general. Same diff.
** Or, he can't, because Ikazuki is stuck too tightly to him.

* I have a Headscratcher of my own. If Drago can steal the power of residual demon chi of the immortal weapons, why didn't he go after the Sword of the immortals when he lost his powers?
** Drago didn't know where the sword was and the the immortal artifacts containing the demon chi probably activates at random times and the sword probably didn't reveal it's location yet.
** There was no sword, Shendu was turned to stone rather than banished to the Nether World.
*** Actually there is a sword, when Uncle takes away Drago's fire demon chi, it's represented by a sword and Shendu was sent into the Netherworld, otherwise the Panku Box wouldn't have a portal for him and Uncle wouldn't have been able to open it for Jade to escape and send Shendu back. Shendu was turned into a statue when he somehow escaped the Netherworld without having to go through his portal.
*** I think it was stated *somewhere* (couldn't tell you where) that he'd been sealed like his siblings but he alone got freed somehow. And since that didn't work turned into a wall ornament.
*** Perhaps he already found the sword...
*** Which sword the one from the future he comes from, the present he's currently in, or both?

* Is "Valmont" a first or last name? Also, if it is a first name, what's his last name, and if it it a last name, what's his first name?
** I swore I saw somewhere that said his first name was "Niles" though I do not recall if this was during any episode or simply someone making up a name for him. If not, then considering that Finn, Ratso, and Chow are likely on a first-name basis, then Valmont is probably the first.
** On the other hand, he's also referred to as Mr. Valmont on several occasions, though people are known to do that with first names.

* How did Tohru get so big if he grew up in Japan but doesn't like fish?
** Genetics? Maybe his father was a tremendous giant of a man too.
** Maybe he hates fish ''because'' he ate so much as a child--it's not uncommon for parents to make their kids eat foods even if they don't like it.
** That's kind of like asking how an American could get that big if they didn't like beef. Diet less of a contributor than we generally think to be. And even if it weren't Japan has literally hundreds of fish-free dishes.

* The Dragon talisman can't find an animal host in season 3 because of the lack of dragons in the world. Did they ever address the Komodo Dragon?
** That's a lizard. The English name for that animal isn't really something ancient magic stuff is gonna adhere to.
** My question is about why they didn't use Haiku to change something into a dragon or even have Haiku change into a dragon.
** Why didn't they say the Loch Ness Monster was a dragon?
*** Because it isn't. Just because something's big and reptilian doesn't mean it's a dragon.
*** Technically, Nessie is supposed to be an ancient Plesiosaur; a water-dwelling dinosaur that somehow survived the extinction of the rest of the dinosaurs.
*** In all the legends of Nessie, it's never breathed fire. Breathing fire's one of the major traits of being a dragon.
*** That is only applied to dragons in Western mythology. The dragons in Chinese legends don't breathe fire.
*** Keep in mind that dragons, like other mythical creatures, tend to vary greatly depending on the region. "Dragon" itself seems to be a generic term for any legendary creature that is reptilian.

* Why does Shendu specifically target Jackie to be inside when he changes the Book of Ages in the Demon World two-parter. Sure, Jackie was his enemy and he wanted to get back at him in some way. But couldn't he have just taken some random schmuck's body there in Australia and have changed the book without Jackie, Ms. Save the World Jade, Uncle or Tohru ever knowing about. Instead, he involves the main characters and they are able to change the world back anyway. He deserves to be tortured by his family for that.
** At the start of the second season, Shendu says to his other family members something along the lines of "I will choose the vessel best suited to serve the task at hand which is my enemy Jackie Chan". So Shendu chose Jackie since he believed that Jackie could handle any potential problem that might pop up getting to the Book of Ages. Plus he properly loved the irony of Jackie helping bring him back to power when he had stopped his rise to power twice beforehand.
** If he possesses some random schmuck in Australia then Jackie Chan will show up and stop him (not "might", ''will''). If he possesses Jackie Chan, well, the whole world is boned.
** Yup, what they said. Basically Shendu was having a moment of being savvy. The one guy who's proven to be pretty much unbeatable, no matter what, was Jackie. Jackie shows up to squash his plans, no matter how secret, no matter how far away, no matter what. Possessing Jackie means that Jackie is ''completely unable'' to interfere with his plans. Besides, you're overlooking the most obvious answer to your gripe that it was a stupid plan... ''the plan worked''. Sure Jade retained knowledge of it happening and that was the plan's undoing, but something like that would have cropped up anyway, that's not really a flaw in Shendu's plan so much as plot armor for the heroes.
*** So in short, who he really should have possessed was Jade.

* At the beginning of season 4, Tarakudo and the Enforcers get the Oni mask from Shendu's palace in Hong Kong. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the palace and all the treasure in it turn to dust in the season 1 finale? How did the palace get restored?
** Since then, Shendu has been resurrected and was subsequently turned back into a statue. In that episode, they even show the talismans being reformed. The palace crumbled when Shendu was destroyed. So maybe the palace had also rebuilt itself when Shendu came back from the dead.
*** Or maybe it's simply that Oni masks are not easily destroyed.

* Drago is from the future, does that mean there was a second Drago in the present? Also, how was Drago born? Since Shendu was a statue for years.
** It's never stated just how old Draco is. He could have easily been conceived before Shendu became a statue. As to why he hasn't shown his face until now, eeeerrrrrrrr, [[VideoGame/TheSecretOfMonkeyIsland look a three headed monkey]].
*** If Drago was indeed conceived centuries ago, changes are he was most likely imprisoned somewhere just like his father, aunts and uncles. He simply has not escaped yet in present day but will in the near future.
** Well, Shendu is a demon sorcerer, so he could've created Drago using magic.
** He could just as likely be a young teenager for all we know or perhaps he is only a few years old and simply matured faster. I mean his emotional maturity is either a little dodgy by normal standards or par for the course for his father's side of the family.

* For that matter: Who do you suppose Drago's is Mom? We obviously don't have a name but dragon, demon, human, something else entirely?

* So when he was working for Valmont, Tohru was an unpleasant brute for the Dark Hand. But then when he's working for Uncle, he's all of a sudden a nice and even somewhat goofy guy. I mean he had his reasons for switching sides, but the personality shift seems a bit abrupt.
** If you want a writing reason, it's just a retcon. Tohru being a sweet GentleGiant makes him a more interesting and amusing character than having him be an aggressive {{Jerkass}} that just happens to hang out with the heroes. If you want an in-character reason, maybe Tohru was always a nice guy, but he was putting on that facade to everyone (including himself) so that people wouldn't think he was a pushover... he fell into working with bad guys, for whatever reason, so he needed to act like a bad guy. Villains generally don't hire (for large amounts of money) sweet-natured dudes who don't really want to hurt anyone.
*** The first episode with Tohru's mom (the one with the Yakuzza and Octopus Sculpture) offers some credence to this. When the Yakuza are recruiting him for the heist, he comes across very much like when he worked for the Dark Hand. Sure, it is a facade so that he could warn Jackie, but it does point that he has no problem putting on a "war face" to convince others that he is not to be trifled with. It also shows that his primary motivation was earning his mothers respect, which was why he took a high paying job with Valmont. It seems that her praise for his new job (working for Jackie and Co.) may have cemented the shift, as he had gained his mother's respect and could now be himself.

* In Season 4, Episode 9, entitled "The Good Guys". Why is Uncle against having the Dark Hand on patrol in his shop?
-->'''Uncle''': Jackie, you cannot go while criminals live in my shop!
-->'''Chow''': Excuse me, ex-criminals.
** He's allowed Tohru to live in his shop for 3 seasons despite not only working for the same crime syndicate, but also being far more competent than his former "co-workers". Granted, unlike Tohru, Finn, Ratso, and Chow revert back to their old ways (with 2 more episodes to boot), but still, it seemed a little bit hypocritical of Uncle to refuse them residence in his shop.
** Uncle was pretty leery of Tohru at first too, wasn't he? Besides that, Tohru pretty quickly decided to show that he was respectful, kind, and polite, which are traits Uncle especially prizes in young people. Tohru also eventually becomes Uncle's student, displaying that Uncle trusts ''him'' specifically. Short answer: Uncle knows Tohru, he doesn't know these three jackasses from Adam.
*** Also, by this point, the J-team had dealt with these guys for almost 4 years as villains. Tohru spent one season as an enemy, while they had repeatedly worked for multiple big bads. There is a reason people talk about "repeat offenders". I bet if they had also switched sides after the first season, there would have been greater leniency.

* In season 3, Dalon Wong returns and attempts to steal the talismans again, but the last time we saw him, he became mute, deaf, and blind. How did he recover from all 3 disabilities? In that same episode, The Dark Hand is shown in a diner having breakfast, yet they're broke so how were they supposed to pay for their food? Not to mention they're talking about reviving their criminal empire at least 1 person in the restaurant had to have overheard them and be able to call the police there was even a waitress walking around their table. Finally, Daolong traps Valmont in the sidewalk's concrete, in a later episode, Valmont somehow escaped the cement.
** In the order: [[AWizardDidIt Daolon Wong used magic to recover from all 3 disabilities]]; the Dark Hand either used freshly stolen money or ran out without paying; nobody believed the Dark Hand were actual criminals, just weirdos joking around; someone noticed Valmont being stuck and called someone with a jackhammer.
** Yeah, if you heard a couple of guys at the next table saying "Yeah, after all those brushes with ancient dragons, demon lords, and magicians that turned us into weird orange assassins, we're finally back on track to create a criminal empire!", would your first thought ''really'' be "These guys are clearly dangerous criminals, I have to call the police", or would it be "These guys are clearly some sort of delusional weirdos"?

* How is it that the Demon Sorcerers look nothing alike? They have been stated to be siblings more than once and yet have absolutely no resemblance.
** Well, polygamy wasn't exactly unheard of in old times...
** I have one theory, courtesy of my brother. He says the Demon sorcerers were merely created using magic, and that they were simply created by the same person.
** The demons have been shown to be able to shapeshift to different forms, such as a human body. Perhaps they decide what kind of default body they like, so it's all based on personal preference.
*** You have a point there, but that still doesn't explain why they have different powers.
*** Because they represent different elements. Different elements have different powers.
*** There's also the fact that each demon chi(when it's in a human host) looks like its original owner's current form rather than something else. Your theory is probably more accurate on why Shendu looks nothing like his spirit form.

* The ''Demon World'' two-parter has quite a few. First; if apparently history was rewritten so that the demon sorcerers were never sealed away in the first place, then why are the symbols uncle later uses to banish the demons still refered to as 'belonging to the immortals who originally sealed the demons', and still have their power?. And speaking of Uncle; how come he still knows how to perform magic while in this reality he most likely never was a student of Master Fong?
** When Jade put the page she accidentally ripped out back in, the original timeline was restored, albeit with the characters who were involved having some memory overlap. As for how Uncle still knew how to cast spells, well, he said he skimmed a book and that should be good enough.
** Clearly there are some constants between the two universes, the easiest answer here is that the symbols used to banish the demons have a connection that goes back farther than the immortals who originally sealed them and in the two thousand years that have passed between then and now the symbols which actually represented the weaknesses of each demon have become associated with the immortals. Either that or there is some amount of residual "real world" that Shendu forgot or could not overwrite. People like to overlook this a lot but people being born requires a fair amount of very specific things, like every single ancestor of yours making similar if not identical decisions. Shendu re-wrote history so that he was never turned to stone and his siblings were never banished and yet every named character still exists and other than Jackie losing his martial arts they all seem to have similar skill sets. It's highly unlikely if convienent for story reasons. The page wasn't returned to the book until the very end of the episode and some of the demons had already been vanquished by that point.
*** Remember, Jade's page was removed from the book and therefore safe from the alterations, which would also extend to everyone that was necessary to turn Jade into the person she was, if only to a lesser extent.

* What makes the Pig talisman's power, Heat-Beam Eyes, such a special power that it's separate from Dragon's Combustion? They're basically the same thing. The only difference is where the fire comes out.
** One is magic lasers, the other is magic bombs. The Pig Talisman is more precise and has a smaller damage radius. The Dragon Talisman is explosive, and for blasting apart larger areas.
** And heat and fire are not the same thing. They could be used very differently, but in practice, the show forgoed the pig most of the time in favor of the dragon which always made me wonder why they gave the pig that power anything.
** One thing to consider is the fact that though not utilized often, the Pig Talisman also allows the user to see the heat signatures of other people via thermography, allowing the user to detect them even if they are camouflaged or invisible. Such a power would certainly have pretty nifty applications in superhero fiction, and it's something you can't do with the Dragon Talisman.

* Does the Monkey talisman affect the victim's mind (i.e. leave their original mind intact or force them to act/behave like the animal they turned into)? Jade turning herself into a monkey but retaining her human thoughts suggest the former, while Tohru was turned into an elephant and was scared of Ratso who turned into a rat suggest the latter.
** It's both, if you think about it, with varying degrees of human to animal based on the user. When Jade used it on herself, she retained her full cognition. When she used it on Jackie to turn him into a Chinchilla, he retained his full cognition (probably) because it was an easy way to get him to escape. However, when the talisman was used on Tohru to change him to an elephant, she explicitly knew elephants feared mice and rats (Ratso was a rat at that time,) and so Tohru attained that animal fear. I surmise that if one were to use the talisman with full malice, that the victim of its power would potentially lose full human cognition. (Why else would Shendu use the talisman on Jackie during their fight?)

* In Demon World when Shendu rewrote history why did he free his siblings? None of the interactions suggest that he has a good relationship with his siblings. Granted as far as we can tell the demons not only stay out of each other's territory but seem to come quickly when Shendu thinks he's in over his head so it worked out for him but there is no reason why Shendu shouldn't have rewritten reality so that only he was free.
** Shendu is only one demon and would have to juggle ruling every nation in the world. He'd much rather share the workload.
** WMG here, but it may also be that since they would have remained in the neitherworld, they could have had RippleProofMemory and find a way to stick it for Shendu for leaving them to rot ''again''.

* If the Snake Talisman can turn the clothes a person is wearing invisible, then why didn't it turn the the Dark Hand and the stolen money invisible when Ratso used it on their getaway truck?
** Well, clothes just cover a person; when we wear them they are so close to us, it's like a second skin and it counts as part of the wielder of the talisman. A truck, however, is just a box on wheels. When it turns invisible, everything inside it that isn't a part of it stays visible.

* Two questions about the episode with the Irish bad luck emerald:
** If the jewel wants to be returned to its rightful place at the tomb, so the bad luck curse is to get a person to return it, why make the curse stay with someone if the jewel is stolen? That makes the emerald harmless to its new owner and thus he'd have no incentive to return it.
*** If a person is constantly harrassed by bad luck after losing the jewel, they'd do anything to get it back. If they are powerful enough, that means a whole lotta bad luck for the new owner. A bit WMG, but we don't know who or what created such a powerful bad luck charm; for all we know, the curse was only placed to cause as much chaos as possible by some mischievous Irish spirit.
** When Jackie received the emerald from Jade, he immediately got a phone call saying he'd been bankrobbed. But if he just received the call, that means the bank robber must have stolen his money before Jackie received the emerald, meaning he didn't have the bad luck curse yet. Is the emerald precognizant? And how could he afford a flight to Ireland in spite of said bank robbery?
*** If I remember right, the phone call said he was ''bankrupt'', not robbed. Maybe the emerald made something go wonky in the bank system, and the computers suddenly said Jackie had less money than he actually did (most banking is electronic these days). Maybe an error message popped up and the bank was legally obligated to call Jackie as soon as it happened. To answer about the plane ticket, my theory is that Uncle doesn't trust banks and loaned Jackie some money from a jar he keeps somewhere in the shop.
*** They live in an antique shop, right? They probably have some cash money stored somewhere for the register and such that they could use in a pinch. Or Uncle paid for it instead of Jackie.

* Where were Finn, Ratso, and Chow during Daolon's attack on Santa Claus? Both the previous and following episode once again focus on the talisman animals, so he could've summoned them. It seems unlikely for him to just let them go even temporarily.
** Wong probably lost his temper and banished the three to another dimension yet again.

* Why didn't Shendu have in Jade's body the powers he had while possessing Valmont?
** Because when he possessed Jade, he wasn't dead, but spirit walking outside his body. I think that the body contains most of the individual's powers and that only some of them can be used by the walking spirits. Only through death the spirit retains the body's powers.

* I know this hypothetical scenario isn't even depicted on the show, but what would happen if a [[ChineseVampire Jiangshi]] consumed Demon Chi? Would the Jiangshi gain demonic powers? Would the drained Demon turn into a vampiric slave?
** They'd probably get peeved if they found out some random Jiangshi got their chi, but I kind of doubt the Demon Sorcerers would be affected themselves. The chi left behind on the symbols was closer to, say, a hair left at a crime scene, compared to blood or life force directly drained from them. The Jiangshi would likely get powers, much like Drago did whenever he took in chi.

* Uncle's spells didn't work on the Razor Shadowkhan because his magic is Chinese while the Shadowkhan are Japanese, but they worked on the Ninja Shadowkhan.
** For most of the series, the Ninjas were under Shendu's control. It could explain why Uncle's Chinese spell worked on them.
** It wasn't that spell didn't work on them because they were Japanese, it was that the particular spell he was using at the time were made for the "standard" Ninja Shadowkhan we had seen for most of the series. A different tribe required a different spell.
*** Though, Uncle's "Yu Mo Gui Gwai Fai Di Zao" chant is pretty much his default spell, which he used for ''many different purposes'' in addition to exorcising Shadowkhan. But yet, that particular spell doesn't always work for every situation.

* In the Season 2 episode "Into the Deep Freeze", the Inuit chief is easily tricked by the antagonist's magic box (aka cellphone). But when Uncle asks if the Inuit chief if he fishes, his response is "What does it look like? Do I go to a drive through burger place?". (Indicating that he is plenty aware of the modern world, so how does he know about drive through burger places but not cellphones?)
** Fast Food drive throughs have been around since the 1930's. Decades before the first cellphone.
** When Jackie plans on taking the specimen back to the research center, the Inuit chief refuses and makes it clear that the site is not to be disturbed. While the Chief was being misled by the VillainOfTheWeek at the time, Jackie had no idea at the time and for all he knew, it could have been a sacred site. He still takes the creature away for research.
** Also when the bad guy gets stuck on frozen ice drifting away, Jackie simply tells him he'd drift to solid ground in 2 days. That's 48 hours exposed to the elements with no fire and a fishing rod. Although he was perfectly willing to kill Jackie, so it's a case of [[LaserGuidedKarma Karma]]

* When Tarakudo and his Shadowkhan are reuniting and taking over Section 13, everyone forgot about Drago, since his arrest in "J2: Rise of the Dragons". Did Tarakudo know about Drago's presence and ignore him completely or what?
** Tarakudo probably doesn't know who Drago is, or at least that he's being held prisoner inside Section 13. Even if he did know, he probably wouldn't care about him one way or the other.
** Or he knew, but left him there on purpose because he didn't want to free a potential rival (ditto for Shendu, since he was in the vault).

* Okay so what happened in that scene where Jade dressed herself up in samurai gear and got cut in half by the Razorkhan? That is impossible to survive through with no cuts or injuries afterwards.
** This is a kids' action cartoon. Jackie, Jade, and co. have been able to get away with surviving ''a lot'' of crazy shit.

* Who were the 3 men that ambushed Jackie and the truck driver in the Season 5 episode "Dragon Scouts"? If you look at the body shapes of the men, there's no way that's the Enforcers ''or'' the Ice Crew. The Enforcers work as janitors as part of their probation, and the Ice Crew have fire powers, so they wouldn't have to use flamethrowers. Did Captain Black find those mysterious men? Did Jackie figure out that the Enforcers were innocent in the robbery attempt?
** The three men who ambushed Jackie were the museum curator and two "security guards" from the museum trying to steal the Golden Squid.

* Tso Lan's goal in "Shanghai Moon" was to destroy the moon and put the Earth out of orbit. Did he get to do so in "Demon World"?
** Probably not, I feel like his siblings would have sabotaged any plans to jeopardize the Earth out of a desire to continue ruling it for all eternity.

* Was Jackie planning on finishing Shendu and Drago ''by himself'' that made Jade say, "The greatest victory is the battle not fought" close to the end of The Powers That Be Part 2?

* Where is the Tohru of the future in the first J2?

* Where was Drago in the Book of Ages episodes?
** The Doylist answer would be that the show creators hadn't come up with Drago yet to include him. The Watsonian answer... Shendu ruled all of China. Drago was probably given a small part of the kingdom to govern himself. Or Shendu had him look after the palace while he went after the Chans personally.

* More of a thought experiment than anything: the Demon Sorcerers seem to have at least some of the same powers as Shendu; a few demonstrate shape-shifting, they all appear immortal, etc. The obvious exception is they utilize other elemental powers besides fire. So... could you take the spell that split the Talismans from Shendu, and cast it on his siblings with the same effect? And since they don't have fire powers, what would you get instead of Dragon?
** Doubtful. The episode that kicked off the Noble Animal arc more or less stated the animals' ancestors were the original and rightful owners of the twelve powers before Shendu had them. Shendu can probably pull the same shapeshifting trick as his two brothers without the Monkey Talisman, and he'd have an unlimited lifespan like his siblings in the Netherworld did (he just needs the Dog so he can't be killed); and he evidently only needs the Dragon Talisman for conjuring fireballs in his hands, since he can still breathe fire when he's ''a flippin' spirit possessing a human''.

* If Jackie was merely a regular archeologist before the first episode, how was he aware of Captain Black's apparent front as an INTERPOL agent?
** They were friends in High School I think it was Jackie mentions it in the first episode when Black comes to pick him up

* Tso Lan is the Moon Demon, so it makes sense his portal was in space. But how exactly was the Immortal who defeated Tso Lan able to do that?
** Well, being a Chinese Immortal has its perks. The episode where Jade animates the Immortal’s statue shows that they had their own powerful magical abilities. Perhaps Han Xiangzi was a prodigious alchemist and prepared potions of Breathlessness and Vacuum Resistance and quaffed them like water until he got close enough to seal Tso Lan’s portal?

* So I can understand some of the placements of the Talismans in Season 1, but how did the Tiger Talisman end up in a pie in the first place?
** It most likely got mixed in with the ingredients to make the pie. Since it was part of a pie eating contest, there would be a large quantity of ingredients and end inside a pie without getting noticed.

* Shendu flew from the Dark Hand's HQ way before the Chans and Section 13 had even made arrangements to go to Hong Kong, yet the latter made it to Shendu's palace before Shendu did?
** Shendu's been trapped in stone for 900 years. He would need time to figure out where he is and which direction Asia is.

* At least twice Tohru has been knocked unconscious and the person responsible was somehow able to move him a significant distance. Tohru is of abnormal weight, so how could they move him?

* Why was Jackie arrested in "Enter The Viper"? He wasn't caught inside the museum, nor was he caught with any stolen property. The cops just found him running down the sidewalk in front of the museum and slapped cuffs on him.
** Because he was dressed like a cat burglar and fleeing the vicinity of a crime. Also, he ''did'' have stolen property: the Pink Puma gem.
*** Although he doesn't end up with the Pink Puma for long, after all Jade ended up with the gem. Which brings up another question, why did the police take him to jail if they discovered that he didn't have any stolen property on him?
*** Perhaps they felt that he was still an accessory to the crime itself. He did look like a burglar, maybe they felt that he was assisting in the crime, which is still a crime. If anything, they should have had him in for questioning only as he may know who did take the Pink Puma, but Jackie wouldn't tell the police it was Jade would he? They may have held him for "further questioning" after he refuses to give Jade's or Viper's names at the police station. That could explain why he stays in jail until Viper breaks him out.

* Why is it so amazing when El Toro removes his mask during "Fright Night Fight", and why do they hide his face in the shadows when we already know what he looks like? His mask has come off more than once previous to this episode.
** It was because this was being done by him himself, rather than another person. Plus it's to the drama for Paco, since El Toro did it to convince him to remove the Oni Mask. Paco idolizes lucha libre and would follow every tradition to the letter, so it was very crushing to see his hero willingly break the number one rule.

* In Season 1, it's noted that, in the episode focusing on it, the Rat Talisman is the most important to regain for Shendu, as it will allow to escape his statue form, though he'll only return to full strength with all Talismans. However, in the Season 1 finale, he regains all Talismans except for one-half of the Tiger Talisman, yet despite having the Rat Talisman, he doesn't escape his statue form. He only becomes animate again once the second half of the Tiger Talisman is regained. Inconsistency?
** It is tied to the power of the Tiger Talisman. It ''balances'' the other 11 talismans! So long as he lacks the complete Tiger Talisman, he can only use ''one'' talisman at a time.
** He probably chose not to activate it until he had all Talismans, it's not like he is a mindless statue, he is still capable of thought and able to use the Sheep Talisman, so he must be able to make sure the Talismans do not do something he does not want them to.
** Good guess, but actually, it was specifically stated that the spell that sealed him away required ALL the Talismans to break, which was why they were scattered across the Earth in the FIRST place!

* While Dog Talisman is supposed to give the power of Immortality, it's been proven time and again that it also gives NighInvulnerability, of the no-damage-taken variety. It's been shown consistently that while attacks can still hurt, no amount of deadly energy (proven when Tso Lan the Moon Demon was attacking a Dog-bearing Uncle in the "Demon World" two-parter) can give the person so much as a scratch.
** And as one webcomic (unrelated) shows, the best keeping method for this kind of Talisman is to swallow it whole.
** Jackie was able to hurt an immortal Shendu in Season 1.
*** But as Shendu pointed out, he still had the Horse Talisman to heal his injuries.

* As the last episode of Season 1 and the first episode of Season 2 show, the Dog Talisman doesn't TOTALLY eliminate pain and injuries (not to mention the episode that introduced it, where Uncle was knocked out while wearing it), pain and injuries are more Horse Talisman territory.

* Did the Book of Ages contain a scripture of Shendu rewriting the book itself, etc.?

* Tohru is rather EasilyForgiven by the Chans after everything he puts them through during Season 1. (Once he almost [[WouldHurtAChild cut Jade's stomach open while she was conscious]].) But it takes a long time before Jackie starts trusting [[ClassyCatBurglar Viper]] (whose actions weren't nearly as heinous as Tohru's) even slightly. El Toro was using the Ox Talisman for his own benefit (no worse than Viper), yet Jackie never distrusts him afterwards. Why these contradictions? Because Jackie believed Tohru's reformation to be genuine because he saw how Shendu almost killed him. And he was there to see El Toro's change of heart. He didn't witness as clearly Viper's choice to turn straight. And the fact that her overall attitude hasn't changed much doesn't help the matter in Jackie's eyes.
** He also is reluctant to believe in Finn, Ratso and Chow's attempts to reform after having fought against them for so long (understandably). But he still starts to believe them slowly (ironically right when they decide to give up being honest). And during the GrandFinale, he places Jade in Hak Foo's hands (probably because the mercenary decided to fight alongside the J-Team). Both of those cases are a pretty short time of giving up trust issues. It only makes the length of his distrust towards Viper more noticeable.
*** Everyone reformed were men, except Viper. Perhaps Jackie is trying to deny his attraction towards a thief.
** Viper was a thief of ancient artifacts. Jackie, being an Archaeologist, would probably be the least trustful of such people since they often destroy historical records to get at the valuables.
** Let's also not forget that A) Viper had already betrayed Jackie once before by giving him a fake snake talisman in exchange for the Pink Puma. Sure, Viper did the right thing in the end, but he'd be an idiot not to suspect her to stab him in the back again. And B) Jade viewed Viper as a role model and surely Jackie wouldn't want his niece to act like Viper. It was only after Viper proved herself as an ally of the J-Team that Jackie finally begins to trust her, as he doesn't doubt her innocence when Viper's J-Clone is caught stealing Jade (the stone, not the niece).

* In the episode "The Dog and the Piggy Show", Jackie groans when he finds out that he has to go back to Bavaria. The FridgeLogic comes in when you realize Bavaria is where Jackie found the shield with the Rooster Talisman, where all the magic trouble started.

* There's the very popular theory that Drago may be [[HalfHumanHybrid half-human]] because he has five fingers, is small in size, and has red irises; while Shendu has four fingers, is large, and his eyes are fully red. But demons like Hsi Wu are small in size, demons like Tchang Zu have five fingers, and the Japanese Oni demons have colored irises. Plus, it wouldn't really make sense to call Drago a demon hybrid, because when Uncle took out Drago's Fire Demon Chi in "Weight And See", Drago maintained his demon form but lost his powers. If he was a true half-demon, Uncle's spell should have taken Drago's dragon form also, turning him into a human.
** Uncle's spell would have taken Drago's dragon form if Drago had been a human empowered by Fire Demon Chi in a similar way to the Ice Gang. If he really is a hybrid or a full-blooded demon, the spell wouldn't have taken his default form along with his powers.

* Drago and Shendu are born in China and know a multitude of Chinese spells (and presuming, the language), but are able to breathe fire. Why is this a problem? Chinese dragons don't breathe fire, Europeans dragons do, therefore making Drago and Shendu [[OurDragonsAreDifferent Chinese-European mixes]].

* In "Showdown in the Old West", the WildWest {{exp|y}}ies of Valmont, Ratso, and Finn make up their era's counterpart to the Dark Hand; however, Chow and Hak-Foo are totally absent from the story (while the Tohru expy is a friend of Jackie's ancestor). Since Chow and Hak-Foo are of Chinese descent, there's a good chance that their ancestors were still living in China at the time. Either that, or the Chow/Hak-Foo analogues ''were'' living in America, but because they were probably just 'Asian railroad workers', [[DeliberateValuesDissonance they couldn't join the gang because of racism]].

* In "The Powers That Be (Part 1)", Captain Black is drinking coffee in the morning and is kidnapped, staying in the junkyard well past 3 in the morning. Section 13 must've searched San Francisco upside down on its ear to look for their boss. This can explain why Jade was able to talk and get a piece of Shendu and how Tohru was able to take out the chi containment unit with little to no repercussions.

* Out of everyone in the show, Captain Black struggles the most when it comes to the rules of magic. From his point of view, he spent many years in the government, 6 years at Interpol. He’s used to fighting with machinery and sending in agents to stop criminals. Having Jackie and his family come in and drastically change the criminals Section 13 deals with from human to a demon threat level would be hard for Black to comfortably adjust to.

* Through some pronunciation issues, the treasure Shendu was referring to in season 1 was the treasure of Qin Shi Huang, the founder of the Qin dynasty and the first emperor of a unified China.

* Jade and Drago's parallel's towards their elders Jackie and Shendu shows in the last episode right before Shendu and Drago are banished. Just as Jade was about to be sucked in by the winds, Jackie swooped in to pull her up. No matter how much a mess Jade gets herself into, her uncle Jackie will always be there to support her and help her out. However, Drago only had himself to push back against the winds and that barely did anything as he found himself on the edge of falling into the Netherworld. Then Drago has to ''beg'' his father to help him, and even then the latter is hesitant. Whenever Drago finds himself in a sticky situation, he has to help and support himself. If Shendu is in the picture, he is reluctant, cold, and unsupportive of his son.

* "The Masks of the Shadowkhan": The mask-removal ingredient in this episode is Japanese steel, which Jade supplies by way of a shuriken thrown by a Shadowkhan. While she doesn't know for sure if it'll work before they try, it does... because ''naturally'' a Shadowkhan, as a creature born of Japanese magic, would have Japanese steel in its weapon!
