* [[RunningGag "Not until Tuesday."]]
** [[LampshadeHanging "Don't tell me – Tuesday?"]]
* Captain Harriman welcoming Kirk, Chekhov, and Scotty aboard. You can feel the nervous energy surging off him as he greets them the same way as any convention fanboy. You can see that he's visibly repressing a {{Squee}}.
* In the holodeck scene, Geordi holds an old-fashioned telescope up to his [=VISOR=]. His [=VISOR=] which, among its many functions, has ''telescopic'' vision. Even funnier, he holds it up to the ''center'' of the [=VISOR=], above the bridge of his nose.
** Could be he was just caught up in the whimsical moment. Which itself has some humor to it.
* As the ''Enterprise'' is about to crash onto the planet, Data says what everyone on the bridge is thinking: "[[OhCrap Oh,]] ''[[PrecisionFStrike shit!]]''"
* "Mr. Tricorder".
* Pretty much everything funny!Data does that isn't unsettling is this.
--> '''Data:''' (''Opening a door with magnetism, in a deep, dramatic voice'') Opeeeen Sesame! *''Door opens''* You might say I have a ''[[IncrediblyLamePun magnetic]]'' personality. Hahahahahahahaha..... HUMOR! I LOVE IT!!!
* Data's "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWBmaKk32fE Scan for Lifeforms Song]]"
** Not just his song, but ''making music with the LCARS touch display at his station.'' The stares from the crew are ''priceless''.
*** Riker's "...What the hell?" face at the end.
*** Not just him, ''everyone'' on the bridge!
*** Deanna actually walks over to look as if her brain is saying "That can't possibly be Data doing that... oh my God it's Data doing that."[[note]]To be fair, she's probably astonished she's ''reading emotions from an android''.[[/note]]
*** While everyone looks confused by Data's song, Worf just looks more annoyed than anything else.
** Really, anything Data does after installing his emotion chip.
---> '''Data:''' (''drinks a glass of something and visibly gags'') Ooh!
---> '''Guinan''': Well, it looks like he hates it.
---> '''Data''': Yes. That is it! I ''hate'' this!
---> '''[=LaForge=]''': Data? I think the chip is working.
---> '''Data''': (''drinks rest of beverage as his face contorts in profound disgust'') Oh, ''yes!'' I ''hate'' this! It is ''revolting''!
---> '''Guinan''': More?
---> '''Data''': (''big grin'') Please!
** Data laughing over a joke that [=LaForge=] told during the Farpoint mission.
--->'''[=LaForge=]:''' Farpoint? Data, that was seven years ago.\
'''Data:''' I know! I just got it!
*** And on that note, just try to imagine a Ferengi wearing a gorilla suit.
*** Even funnier, it's obviously a variation of a Henny Youngman joke, so the "Ferengi wearing a gorilla suit" is someone's ''wife''.
* Worf's promotion ceremony conducted on an 18th century vessel in the holodeck. After Worf successfully grabs the hat without falling off the plank, Riker simply has the computer remove it from under him.
---> '''Riker:''' Computer, remove the plank!
---> ''*SPLASH!*''
---> '''Picard:''' NumberOne, that's ''retract'' the plank, not ''remove'' the plank.
---> '''Riker:''' Oh. ''(leans over side to look at Worf)'' Sorry! (Worf is growling and flailing in the water).
** Particularly the look on Worf's face at the moment it vanishes - some combination of FlatWhat and OhCrap, and it's on the face of TheStoic.
** When Data doesn't see what's funny about dropping someone into cold water, Crusher simply says he just has to get into the spirit. Data thinks he understands... and pushes her overboard.
*** Somehow, the DudeNotFunny reaction from the rest of the crew just makes it even funnier.
*** Also, Crusher [[ButtMonkey knocks Worf back into the water on the way down]].
* (After filming Kirk's death scene):
--> '''Creator/WilliamShatner:''' [[IncrediblyLamePun Bridge]] [[RussianReversal on the captain!]]
* The razzing Chekov and Scotty give Kirk after he ceremoniously commands the ship leave spacedock, and ''the entire crew and attending press members applaud''.
-->'''Chekov:''' Wery good, sir.
-->'''Scotty:''' Brought a tear to me eye.[[note]]Remember that this line was originally written for ''Spock''[[/note]]
-->'''Kirk:''' Oh, be quiet.
** Scotty got some good digs overall.
--->"Is there something wrong with your chair, sir?"
* Kirk's declaration of "Dill!" The line was written to be a non-sequitur (Kirk was very deliberately changing the subject), but Shatner's delivery turns this one word from a simple statement into something funny.
* With the whole Kirk Drift perception deeming Kirk an out of control horndog, it’s funny that in “reality”, he’s more excited about the prospect of horses than being in a bedroom with a woman.
* During the holodeck scene, Picard remarks [[FanOfThePast how great it must've been to be a sailor way back when]] - no reliance on technology, just sailing by the wind and using the stars to navigate. Riker has a decidedly different view:
-->"Bad food, brutal discipline... no women."
** And you know which one is the deal-breaker for [[TheCasanova Riker]].
* After Picard saves Kirk from Soran.
-->'''Kirk:''' I thought you were heading for the launcher?
-->'''Picard:''' I changed my mind. Captain's prerogative.
* The Duras sisters waiting for Geordi to go to Engineering.
-->'''B'Etor:''' ''(exasperated)'' He must be the only engineer in Starfleet ''who doesn't go to Engineering''!
** Directly before that line is B'Etor's response when Lursa checks on her progress. The delivery goes to show how long she's been staring at the screen.
-->'''B'Etor''': ''(bored)'' I don't know. He bathed, and now he's roaming the ship.
* Lursa ordering "Fire at will!" makes it sound like she has a grudge against Riker. (Considering how much trouble the ''Enterprise'' has been for House Duras, she probably does.) Even better, it then cuts to Will Riker himself trying to keep his footing while giving orders.
** On a similar note, her next order is to target the ''Enterprise'' bridge. Didn't she already order them to fire at Will?
* Picard's almost-offended tone when Kirk asks him if he's retiring soon: "I'm not planning on it!"
* Out of universe: At a convention Marina Sirtis talked about how she caused the climactic scene of the Enterprise crashing into the planet to have to be reset, wasting 4 hours. Why? A burning ember from one of the explosions landed in the seat and [[RumpRoast burned right through her outfit]]. After this, Brent Spiner allegedly told her, "I don't care if you're on fire. You're sitting in that seat." The convention then replayed the accepted take. Troi seems to sweep any debris off the seat before sitting down. The audience burst into laughter as they saw it.
* A subtle one, but Picard's Nexus fantasy has Renee... but nowhere is Robert to be seen, a little TakeThat to his BigBrotherBully.
* In the commentary track, Ron Moore and Brannon Braga get angry at the extra who mugs a little too much right before Data's loud "YES!" and fist pump at the defeat of the Duras sisters, that he's taking away from the specialness of Data doing so.
