6	* Whenever someone dies in Wave Ocean's Mach Speed section and immediately discovers that the "autosave" requires beating a ''full stage'' to activate,[[note]] You can save in the hub world via the pause menu before entering Wave Ocean, [[GuideDangIt but the game doesn't tell you that that's possible]][[/note]] thus booting them all the way back to '''the game's opening cutscene'''. It has famously happened to [[LetsPlay/SonicTheHedgehog2006 pokecapn]], WebVideo/GameGrumps, LetsPlay/ClementJ642, Creator/JamesRolfe, WebVideo/{{Retsupurae}}, and LetsPlay/NerdCubed.
7	* In Sonic's introductory cutscene, the sight of him [[CurbStompBattle ripping through Dr. Eggman's robot mooks like a tornado]] to protect Elise, except for one... which he then defeats by stopping in front of it and then [[CherryTapping poking it gently with one toe]] -- complete with a comically tinny ''"dink!"'' sound effect in contrast to all the fire and explosions -- causing the bot to [[DisneyVillainDeath slowly tip backward off the footbridge it's standing on]]. Both the method and how much the otherwise-intense scene slows down for that one gag makes it particularly funny.
8	* When Amy jumps Silver assuming he's Sonic, Silver's reaction is priceless. He looks and sounds flat-out terrified... which makes sense if you notice [[GroinAttack where Amy is grabbing]], thanks to a particularly unfortunate animation error.
9	* Sonic tossing the holographic device with Eggman's message in it back to Knuckles, with the device just kind of floating over there instead of looking like it was thrown. Knuckles then fumbles to catch it with his large boxing-glove hands and drops it on the ground. He proceeds to stomp on it angrily while glaring at Sonic.
10	** Sonic declares that he's going to where Eggman told him to go. Tails, who previously pointed out that it probably will be a trap, doesn't seem to have a problem with that plan... but Knuckles throws his arms up in defeat as if he was saying [[YouHaveGotToBeKiddingMe "I can't believe these guys"]]. ''Knuckles'' was being the OnlySaneMan.
11	* ''Sonicman'', just in general. With his [[LargeHam over-the-top hamminess]], [[RummageSaleReject bizarre costume]], insistence that ''[[LoonyFan he himself]]'' [[LoonyFan is a blue hedgehog and the hero who will save Soleanna]], and assuming [[EntertaininglyWrong Sonic himself is a particularly convincing cosplayer whom he challenges to a race across town,]] he's one of the funniest non-player characters in the game.
12	* Shadow slowing down time via Chaos Control and [[MundaneUtility casually walking behind Silver]], mid-dramatic punch, and defeating him with a single roundhouse kick in the back of the head.

15	** Similarly, as the kiss is happening, Knuckles is smack-dab in the background, and the [[FlatWhat "Uh.. WTF?"]] expression on his face is priceless. [[NeverLiveItDown And really, who can blame him?]]
16	** In the previous cutscene, when the gang splits up to collect the Chaos Emeralds, Knuckles begins to go in the wrong direction before turning around.
17	* After Shadow enters Eggman's base by bursting through the ceiling:

19	* Until the five-hundredth time it happens to you, watching Sonic fly off into the distance and breakdance to his death during the [[ScrappyMechanic Mach Speed]] sections makes it all worth it.

Okay, possibly [[GoodBadBugs not originally intended by the programmers]], as it appears the character model sets back to the default T-pose, but his ears and hand clearly show that Mephiles spun at least 360 degrees before the scene cuts back to Silver and Blaze, who never acknowledge it. Now watch the scene while anticipating the action, and you may get a giggle or two.
21	* Mephiles tripping over his own feet(?) once he picks himself up off the ground after being bounced like a ball after "Mephiles Phase 1" is finished. Even while trying to open a portal to escape, he's still having trouble standing upright after that hit. Almighty Super Being, indeed!
22	* Shadow's reaction to falling down a tunnel with easily-dodgeable flame jets at the end of Flame Core. The subtitle renders it as "Ack!", but the sound he makes is something more like [[ChewingTheScenery "RRRRRRRAGGAHHHaaaa...!"]].
23	* The cutscene after you defeat the Egg Wyvern. The mech explodes in pieces, Eggman's seat is ejected... and on the way down it ''hits a piece of debris and starts spinning sideways''. It's hilarious to watch.
24	* When Shadow reverses while driving a buggy, he puts a hand on the seat next to him and looks over his shoulder; standard safety protocol for backing up a car. It's amusing to consider that of all the things this game ''should'' have gotten right, someone instead put their time into [[SkewedPriorities making sure Shadow was practicing safe driving]].
25	* For some reason, every time a character makes a motion with their hand, there's a sound effect like a glove being shaken. It's kind of funny that the programmers thought that was important to put that effect in there, and funnier still when there's a dramatic/sad/important moment, and it gets botched by the stupid sound effect.
26	* While Silver is ThatOneBoss when playing as Sonic and Shadow, the fact that fighting Sonic as Silver is a [[CurbStompBattle hilariously easy fight]] where you pelt Sonic with chairs is bound to at least get a chuckle. The WebVideo/GameGrumps had a field day, with [[Creator/{{Egoraptor}} Arin]] in particular going full LaughingMad from all the glee.

28	* From the finale of Sonic's story: After going back in time to save Elise from the Egg Carrier exploding, he carries her from the falling wreckage of the aircraft, jumps towards a cliff; he doesn't quite make it, unfortunately. But then the Egg Carrier explodes beneath them, [[RocketJump sending them violently flying up onto the cliff]]. Sonic's wide-eyed "OhCrap" face when they get launched is ''[[https://youtu.be/7tt5NnAccUo?t=44 priceless.]]'' Then there is Sonic's [[{{Narm}} ridiculously goofy-sounding laughter]] immediately afterwards, which sounds like he's channelling [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyX Tidus]].
29	* EverythingTryingToKillYou is in full force in this game. ''Even the checkpoint poles'' can comically hit you when crossed and make you lose rings in the process.
30	* After being forced to replay Wave Ocean as Tails in Sonic's story (despite having ''already played it as both Sonic and Tails earlier'') for no reason, Eggman's line in the following cutscene sums it up perfectly:
