[[folder:Pilot episodes]]

* "Way of the Ninja":
** A skeleton detaches its skull, which hops around and menaces Kai. He deals with it by punting the skull over the roof of the blacksmith shop, which two other skeletons applaud; Nya takes advantage of their being distracted to knock them down with a staff.
** While Kai is griping that Sensei Wu could've done something to stop Nya from getting kidnapped, he refers to Wu's TornadoMove as "Twist-itsu".
---> '''Wu:''' ''SPIN''-jitsu.

* "The Golden Weapon":
** [[BadassBoast Cole boasts that he isn't afraid of anything "in this world"]]. When Zane points out he's afraid of dragons, Cole retorts that dragons are otherworldly creatures and thus fall outside the scope of his claim.
---> '''Cole:''' ...And for the record, there ain't nothin' in this world I'm afraid of.\
'''Zane:''' Except for dragons.\
'''Cole:''' [[ExactWords Dragons aren't]] ''[[ExactWords from]]'' [[ExactWords this world, Zane. I said]] ''[[ExactWords in]]'' [[ExactWords this world.]]
** Kai responds to Wu saying Zane has a sixth sense by snarking that he senses Zane takes things too seriously, [[JokeAndReceive which is immediately proven correct]] by Zane enthusiastically asking if Kai is also a seer. Jay tries to give Zane a nudge in the right direction by telling him Kai was joking, only for Zane to [[FlatJoy flatly say "Yes, it was a joke. Ha ha."]] Jay can only {{facepalm}} in response.
** After Sensei Wu tells the ninja about the Golden Weapons, Kai reminds him about his sister. The response from Jay is priceless.
---> '''Jay:''' We're saving a girl? Is she hot?\
'''Cole:''' Jay!\
'''Jay:''' I just want to know what we're getting ourselves into. ''(to Kai)'' Does she like blue?\
'''Kai:''' ''([[DeathGlare glaring at Jay]])'' [[MySisterIsOffLimits Back off!]]
** Cole, Jay, and Zane's recollections of how they met Sensei Wu all involve him drinking tea in unlikely locations. In Zane's case, he suddenly spots Wu ''at the bottom of a frozen-over pond'' while testing how long he can stay down there. Zane coughs and sputters at the sight as Wu offers him a teacup.
** A skeleton spots Kai traversing their mining site, but is silenced before he can sound the alarm by the other three ninja pulling it inside [[MobileShrubbery the crate they're using to sneak around the mine]] and beating it up. When the ninja leave, the skeleton's limbs have been tied in a knot and the handle of its axe has been shoved in its mouth.
** At the skeletons' strip-mining site, Nuckal finds a ring-shaped rock and thinks it looks like a donut, then tries to take a bite out of it to see if it tastes like one. [[TheToothHurts It doesn't]].
** When Kai repeats Jay's reciting of the motions of their training course, he says "Here comes the dummy!" Not knowing that Kai is referencing a ''training'' dummy, Kruncha and Nuckal get into an argument over which of them he called a dummy.

* "King of Shadows":
** The episode opens with Jay passing the voyage to the Frozen Wasteland by [[SomethingThatBeginsWithBoring playing "I Spy" and calling out very obvious things]].
---> '''Jay:''' I spy... something white!\
'''Cole''': ''(sighs)'' Could you try to be quiet for once? This ain't easy.\
''(the boat suddenly shudders)''\
'''Jay''': ''(groans)'' I spy something broken!
** Zane is instantly frozen into a block of ice when he reaches for the Shurikens of ice, awakening the dragon in the process. The other ninja lift the Zane-sicle above their heads and run for it, eventually using him as a sled and freeing him when they crash into [[CoolGate a giant torii made of ice]].
--->'''Zane:''' [[MajorInjuryUnderreaction Ow.]]

* "Weapons of Destiny"
** Jay notices that the team's holding onto the legs of a giant spider and attempts to warn the others, but fails due to his voice still being shot. Meanwhile, oblivious to Jay's groans and frantic gesturing, Cole comments that Jay losing his voice has "been an absolute pleasure"; Kai nods in agreement.
** Nuckal spots the Ninja sneaking around and asks if the plural of 'ninja' is 'ninjas' or just 'ninja'. Kruncha tells him he thinks it's just 'ninja'.[[note]]Both are acceptable pluralizations.[[/note]]
---> '''Nuckal''': Oh, okay. Then, NINJA!
** While in the Underworld, Jay suggests they use the Tornado of Creation to get out of a tight spot. Since he's still getting his voice back after losing it in the previous episode, the other ninja have trouble understanding what he's saying.
--->'''Cole''': You feel a weird sensation?\
'''Jay''': ''No''.\
'''Zane''': You ate an odd crustacean?\
'''Jay''': ''Tornado of Creation''.\
'''Kai''': I got it, I got it: Two natives on vacation! Huh?\
'''Jay''': ''(sighs)'' ''TORNADO OF'' '''''CREATION!'''''\
''(ninja go "Oh..." in realization)''\
'''Zane''': Welcome back.
** When the ninja first use the Tornado of Creation, they end up creating a Ferris wheel with the skeletons caged in the gondolas. Nuckal inexplicably has a cone of cotton candy. Kruncha knocks it out of his hand, prompting the latter to let out a depressed "Aww".
** During the climactic fight with Wu and Garmadon, Jay is somehow [[PassThePopcorn casually eating cotton candy]] ''through his mask'', much to the Ninja's chagrin.
** At one point, Sensei Wu shouts at Garmadon "Father would not want you to do this brother!" For some reason this sentence has drastically different dictation compared to the rest of Wu's lines, resulting in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7h6d1UjLjv0 it coming out in an absurd accent.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Season 1: ''Rise of the Snakes'']]
* "Rise of the Snakes":
** Wu chastises the ninja for not training, saying to "never put off until tomorrow what can be done today".
--->'''Cole''': Well, I ''was'' gonna eat this pizza tomorrow, so if ''that's'' the case...\
''(Sensei Wu kicks the slice of pizza out of his hand)''\
'''Sensei''': No pizza for you!
** As Sensei Wu comments on how little the Ninja understand about the powers of their Golden Weapons, the camera zooms in on [[MundaneUtility a slice of pizza that's being reheated on top of the Sword of Fire]].
** Lloyd's PokeThePoodle attempts at being evil, threatening to release the Serpentine unless the town gives him their candy, which only ends with him being pelted with vegetables [[KidsHateVegetables (which he angrily yells he hates)]]. The ninjas take him away, while Lloyd struggles and yells that they have until three to let him go.
--->'''Lloyd''': Bow down to me or suffer my wrath! I'll give you to the count of three! One! Two!\
'''Kai''': What are we supposed to do? Spank him?\
'''Lloyd''': Two and a half!
** The Ninja hold a tournament to determine who'll be the Green Ninja. Jay, still irritated about losing the first fight, doesn't put any effort into calling the beginning of the final round.
--->'''Jay:''' ''(flatly muttering)'' For the prize and the title of best ninja... blah blah... ninja, go.
** Kai attempts to defeat a group of Hypnobrai with Spinjitsu, only to lose control and spin into a wall. Jay, who was watching the fight from above, {{facepalm}}s at the sight.
--->'''Jay:''' O-''kay'', we're ''really'' out of shape.
* "Home":
** The ninja {{flashback}} to times where Zane acted "weird". In Cole's example, Zane walks into the bathroom and mindlessly combs his hair while Cole's on the toilet. In Jay's, Jay, Nya, and Zane watch a movie where a couple break up; Jay and Nya are weeping, but Zane laughs like a maniac. In Kai's flashback, Kai walks to the refrigerator for a late snack. Depending on the version of the episode, Kai either finds a note Zane left or ''Zane himself'' in the fridge.
---> '''Zane''': I'm sorry. I consumed the last of the deli meat. Cheese?
** After Jay praises Zane's cooking skills, Cole says he didn't hear any complaints about the duck chowder he made the previous night. Kai retorts that [[LethalChef the chowder glued their mouths shut]], and asks Cole if he really thought [[MotorMouth Jay]] was speechless throughout dinner.
---> '''Jay''': Yeah. ''Please'' don't make that again.
** Cole attempts to make Zane laugh by throwing a plate of shrimp at Kai. Sensei Wu gets up, walks toward Cole… [[NotSoAboveItAll and dumps a bowl of soup on his head]]. A food fight promptly breaks out.
** Jay is incredulous that Zane found Lloyd's treehouse by following a bird:
---> '''Jay''': Why did you follow a bird?\
'''Zane''': Because it danced.\
'''Jay''': Oh...okay. Was it a cuckoo bird?\
''(Everyone except Zane laughs.)''\
'''Zane''': Of course not. [[LiteralMinded Everyone knows cuckoo birds are not indigenous to these forests.]]
** One Hypnobrai lets out the [[StockScream Wilhelm scream]] after being knocked out of the treehouse.
* "Snakebit":
** Jay warns the group to not let his parents talk for too long because [[HypocriticalHumor they can keep yapping for hours and don't know when to quit]]. Kai mutters that "[[ItRunsInTheFamily the cherry doesn't fall far from its blossom]]".
** While giving his parents a tour of the Bounty's bridge, Jay points out a device they use if a Serpentine isn't cooperating and it's getting late. His parents ask if it reads snakes' minds or makes them talk, but they're both wrong. It's a cappuccino machine.
** Jay's parents embarrass Jay throughout their visit and reveal some of his secrets.
---> '''Sensei:''' Now that they have left, perhaps Jay can teach us the art of kissing pillows.
** When Ed and Edna return home, the sign for the junkyard reads “Ed and Edna’s Scrap and Junk.” Only the S flickers for a bit…
** Among the things the Fangpyre bit, there’s a boombox so Lloyd can rock out while attacking the Ninja.
** When Zane translates Wu's latest piece of cryptic wisdom as "the Golden Weapons are vehicles", Kai groans about the possibility of having to ride the Sword of Fire like a broomstick.
** After the Ninja turn their Golden Weapons into vehicles and ride off after the Fangpyre, Nya asks Sensei Wu if his flute turns into anything. He responds by looking at it and saying "I wish."
* "Never Trust a Snake":
** Zane freaking out over his Green Ninja dream and wondering if he's still dreaming until Cole smacks him in the face with a pillow.
--->'''Cole:''' Does that feel like a dream?\
'''Zane:''' ''(deadpan)'' No. Thank you for your help.
** Lloyd and Pythor have a montage consisting entirely of PokeThePoodle moments. Their "evil" acts include removing and disobeying a "keep off the grass" sign, knocking over trash cans while riding a bike, and ''literally'' taking candy from babies.
** When brainstorming ways of infiltrating Darkley's Boarding School for Bad Boys, Jay says he has an idea for getting inside. Meanwhile, Lloyd and Pythor are looking out for them, with Lloyd saying the Ninja are probably "cleverly sneaking their way right past us". [[DescriptionCut The next cut back to the Ninja reveals they're using Jay's idea: holding onto the Bounty's anchor while Nya drops it through the roof.]]
** Kruncha and Nuckal somehow got jobs as substitute teachers for Darkley's.
* "Can of Worms":
** The episode opens with Lloyd wandering around the ship and telling each ninja that another member of the team tampered with their belongings. While the true culprit of all the incidents is revealed to be Lloyd, his pranks are still amusing:
*** Lloyd says that Cole beat Kai's high score, singular, on ''Fist to Face 2''. When Kai boots up the game, he finds that ''all'' of the high scores have been replaced by Cole.
*** Jay supposedly claimed that he spiced up Cole's soup because he thought Cole's cooking needed it, furthering the RunningGag of Cole being a lousy chef.
*** The AI on Jay's sparring bot is jacked up far too high (supposedly by Zane), making it laugh as it beats up Jay.
*** According to Lloyd, Kai supposedly put one of his red ninja suits in with his white ones when he was doing laundry. Zane inspects his laundry basket to find that [[RedSockRuinsTheLaundry all of his suits have been stained pink]].
** When Jay asks Sensei Wu why the day's lesson involves the dangers of jumping to conclusions instead of anything practical in combat, Wu says one of the reasons is that he misplaced his lesson book. Kai spots the missing lesson book in Lloyd's pocket and returns it to Wu, causing Lloyd to whine about him ruining his plan until Cole shuts a door in the kid's face and muffles his complaints.
** After Nya reminds everyone via intercom they still have to deal with the snakes, Kai complains about having his sister on board in addition to Garmadon's son and the two ruining the idea of Destiny's Bounty being a ninja headquarters. Nya reminds her brother that she can hear him, causing Kai to {{facepalm}}.
** Jay comments that since they have no clue where the last two Serpentine tombs are, they might as well throw darts at a map to guess their location. Nya responds "Why don't we?" [[LiteralMetaphor and throws darts representing the tomb locations they]] ''[[LiteralMetaphor do]]'' [[LiteralMetaphor know about at the map]].
** Zane has to wear a pink gi on the mission, which results in him sighing in frustration several times and Cole nicknaming him "Pinky". For some reason, it also turns his Spinjitzu pink.
** Kai says the acid lakes of the Toxic Bogs will [[LethalChef "eat through you worse than Cole's chili."]]
** Jay gets distracted by his voice echoing in the empty Venomari tomb, causing him to miss Kai's initial pleas for help with fighting the Serpentine. When Cole and Zane arrive as backup, Cole's PreAsskickingOneLiner also echos and Jay chuckles at it despite being in danger... then screams as Pythor pops out of the tomb.
--->'''Cole:''' Anyone order a little kick-butt?\
'''Cole's Echo:''' Butt? Butt? Butt?
** Kai gets inflicted with Venomari spit, causing him to see the Venomari and Constrictai as elves and gingerbread men.
** Kai hallucinates a "magic floating rope" the team can use to climb to safety, casuing Jay to have to hold him back from falling into the bog. Shortly afterwards, an actual rope dangles from the sky courtesy of Samurai X, which the team uses to climb to safety.
** Cole asks who Samurai X is after they get bailed out. Kai woozily asks "{{Santa}}?"
** Kai is still feeling the effects of the venom at dinner, as he says Wu's beard is moving like snakes and sticks a dumpling to his own cheek.
--->'''Nya''': When is this Venomari spit supposed to wear off? It's ''starting'' to get annoying.
** The Ninja jump off the Bounty and turn their Golden Weapons into vehicles in midair. Everyone hollers in joy except for Kai, who screams.
** Pythor opens his speech to the assembled Serpentine with [[BreadEggsBreadedEggs "Friends, enemies... enemies who pretend to be friends"]], causing the audience to laugh.
** As Zane drives the team to safety using his snowmobile, Jay nearly falls off during a jump and has to cling to the vehicle's exhaust pipes.
** Skales attempts to keep his balance in the tunnel Zane froze over by clinging to Pythor's arm, only for the Anacondrai to scream "GET YOUR HANDS OFF ME!"
** Lloyd apologizes to Cole by giving him a can of nuts. [[KansasCityShuffle Cole declines because he believes the can has a bunch of fake snakes inside that'll fly out when he opens it, only for exactly that to happen when he opens the fridge.]]
* "The Snake King":
** The Ninja geeking out over their new uniforms.
--->'''Jay:''' Whoa! They've got, like, armor.\
'''Kai:''' I love the gold highlights.\
'''Cole:''' Battle claws!\
'''Zane:''' The material is really light and breathable.
** Wu [[NotSoAboveItAll getting excited over a Ferris wheel]].
** Jay dresses up as a woman and lies down in front of a train to fool the Samurai into saving him in order to discover [[SamusIsAGirl "his"]] identity in "The Snake King."
* "Tick Tock:"
** During the montage of the ninja reaching their physical potential, Cole is in the gym. He tries putting more weights onto his dumbbell, looks around, and walks offscreen. Cut to him lifting the dumbbell...with Jay and Nya sitting on either end. Nya is also lifting a weight while Jay is eating an entire cooked chicken.
** When Zane defeats the robot guarding the lab, it dances, bows, and salutes before finally falling over.
** Zane discovers why his sense of humor is so dry: he's an android (Nindroid?), and his humor switch is turned off. Turning it on results in a singing, dancing Zane, complete with a Michigan J. Frog impression. Jay bursts into laughter as Zane turns his humor switch back off and becomes solemn again.
* "Once Bitten, Twice Shy":
** Zane accidentally freezes himself, Cole, and Kai in a giant block of ice. His response? "Oops."
** On another note, Jay's somewhat dumbfounded face after Nya kisses him can be this.
** Jay trying to tell the guys the moral of the story and getting shot down by Cole:
---> '''Jay:''' No matter what kind of secret you have, whether you're a snake or a samurai, it's important to be yourself--\
'''Cole:''' Yeah, that's cute.
* "The Royal Blacksmiths":
** Zane claims that Kai's frustration about Jay still being hung up on the identity of the Samurai is because he hasn't unlocked his full potential yet. Kai reminds him that Cole also hasn't done that yet, only for Cole to suddenly exclaim "I've got it!"... and turn out to have been thinking of a completely different topic.
--->'''Kai:''' You've unlocked it?! Oh, why am ''I'' the only one?\
'''Cole:''' No, I figured out where I recognized the Fangblade from. I have a picture of it.\
'''Kai:''' ''[sheepishly]'' Oh, haha, is that it? Heh. Good.
** Cole has the team hide the Golden Weapons in an instrument case because he doesn't want his dad to know he's a ninja. Jay takes the opportunity to crack a joke about how no mortal can possess all four weapons at once as he hands over his nunchucks.
** Cole knocks on his dad's door, only for Lou to comment about his son being too good for ringing the doorbell and slam it shut. After a pause, Lou tells Cole from within the house to use the bell; said bell is an audio clip of the Royal Blacksmiths singing "Welcome!", which the rest of the team glance at each other in confusion about.
** Lou, thinking the Ninja are a group of performers taking up the stead of the Royal Blacksmiths, asks to hear "the sweet, sweet sound of harmony" from them. Kai, Jay, and Zane proceed to sing the word "harmony" at the same time and do a poor enough job at harmonizing that both Cole and Lou cringe.
** While critiquing the Ninja's dance routine, Lou tells Zane he's doing great and is "like a machine". Zane, who found out he was a robot two episodes prior, [[IfOnlyYouKnew just smiles at the comment]].
** One aspect of Cole's estrangement with his father involves a dance move called the Triple Tiger Sashay. Despite nobody having ever successfully performed the move before, Lou thought his son could do it at age ''seven''.
** After smacking into each other while rehearsing on the day of the competition, Kai complains that Jay was two beats off of where he was supposed to be. [[LudicrousPrecision Zane comments that Jay was actually 2.72 beats off.]]
** Pythor infiltrates the judges' panel by eating one of the judges and claiming the obvious visual discrepancy is due to [[BlatantLies "the camera add(ing) a few pounds"]]. [[GettingEatenIsHarmless The judge he ate is still alive in his stomach]] and is none too pleased about the situation.
--->'''Judge:''' Wait a minute, I'm still here! He ''swallowed'' me! He's not a judge!\
''[the other two judges gasp in horror]''\
'''Pythor:''' QUIET! ''[smacks his gut]'' Or else I won't let you out.\
'''Judge:''' ''[meekly]'' My apologies.
** A group of Serpentine enters the competition in costumes and horribly sings a cover of "My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean" about poison. The only people who actually enjoy it are some Hypnobrai in the audience, Kruncha and Nuckal, and Pythor, who gives the act a score of 10 and intimidates the other judges into [[SixIsNine turning their scorecards with 6s upside down to give them 9s]].
** The talent show's announcer's notes include a reminder to not "sound like an asshole this evening".
** Just before going on-stage, Zane complains about having butterflies in his stomach... which turns out to be an unusually literal concern.
--->'''Zane:''' I have butterflies in my stomach!\
'''Jay:''' Aww, come on, that's just nerves!\
'''Zane:''' No! I really do have butterflies!\
''[[LiteralMetaphor [Zane opens his chest hatch and butterflies fly out] ]]''\
'''Jay:''' Oh-''kay''. Uh, glad [[LiteralMetaphor he got that out of his system]].
** Pythor attempts to give the Ninja a score of zero for performing the Triple Tiger Sashay, even though the other judges gave them 10s for doing something that had never been done before. Not only does the audience boo him for this, but the judge Pythor swallowed sticks his arm out of the Serpentine's mouth to add a 1 to his scorecard and give the Ninja a third 10.
--->'''Pythor:''' What? Wait! I didn't write that!
* "The Green Ninja" is chock full of funny:
** Garmadon moves in with the ninjas after a HeelFaceTurn / EnemyMine. He has an interesting lifestyle, to say the least, like sunbathing in a thunderstorm and filing his teeth with a black dagger. He even refers to Kai as "Mr. Snoopy Pants" at one point (made funnier by him wearing a purple four-armed robe when he says it).
** When Garmadon and Lloyd are reunited, we get this exchange.
---> '''Lloyd:''' Dad, why do you have four arms?
** This short exchange:
---> "What's he eating?"\
"Condensed evil, it's supposed to be low in fat."
* This part of a conversation in "All of Nothing":
--> '''Snake:''' If I were you, I'd start preparing for the worst, because when the Great Devourer is awakened, there will be ''nothing'' it won't consume!\
'''Zane:''' [[FridgeLogic Won't that mean it'll consume you too?]]\
'''Snake:''' ''({{beat}})'' [[FridgeHorror Ah! Please, you have to stop him. That snake is crazy. I don't wanna unleash the Great Devourer. I'm a snake, not food!]]
** The snake's expression just before his VerbalBackspace is the ''perfect'' mix of HeelRealization and OhCrap.
* The very fact that ''Wu'', of all people, [[NotSoAboveItAll calls shotgun on the Samurai Mech]].
* After a failed escape attempt and being constricted even further:
--> '''Cole:''' [[SarcasmMode Great, we're in such a better place than we were before!]]\
'''Zane:''' [[ComicallyMissingThePoint And now we can't even play checkers.]]\
'''Jay:''' I was going to be kinged, Kai!
* "Day of the Great Devourer":
** Jay trips over a rock while fleeing Ouroboros, resulting in him flailing his arms and yelling "WAIT! WAIT FOR ME!" as he runs to catch up with the rest of the team.
** Cole complains about Zane missing his first shot of the Sacred Flute's music with the Ultra Sonic Raider. Zane's retort, though having an underlying implication that he can hardly be expected to aim perfectly with a brand-new weapon right away, is a reminder that they "just magically whipped up this heap of junk".
** Jay's reaction to hearing they've created a weak point on the Devourer:
---> '''Jay:''' Oh, great, let me make a note of that. Giant snake has wee, itty-bitty weak spot that'll be [[SuddenlyShouting TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO GET AT BECAUSE THE THING IS TOO RIDICULOUSLY HUGE TO DO ANYTHING TO STOP IT!!!!!!!!]] ''(hyperventilates)''\
'''Nya:''' Are you done?\
'''Jay:''' ''(exhales)'' ...Yes.
** Jay suggests they hide in the Serpentine tombs until the Devourer crisis blows over, stating they'll be without sunlight for months, but at least they'll be safe.
** When the Great Devourer emerges in Ninjago City, a reporter says people should "wav(e) their arms wildly while screaming like little children" as they run away from the giant snake.
** The Devourer roars at Lloyd, who quips that [[EvilSmellsBad the snake's breath "smells worse than Cole's chili."]]
---> '''Cole:''' ''HEY!''
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Season 2: ''Legacy of the Green Ninja'']]
* "Darkness Shall Rise",
** The ninja are completely exhausted after their day jobs:
---> '''Cole:''' My feet! ''I can't feel my feet!''\
'''Kai:''' There were so many... and they wouldn't stop.\
'''Zane:''' *while oiling his arm* My gears locked up several times. I didn’t even know my gears ''could'' lock up.\
'''Jay:''' I don’t even have enough energy to play video games.
** The Serpentine generals brainstorm ideas for regaining the respect of their underlings, who have decided to follow Garmadon. Keep in mind their last plan almost got ''everyone'', including themselves, killed.
--->'''Skalidor:''' [[TooDumbToLive Release the Devourer!]] \
'''Skales:''' No, you idiot! [[NeverRecycleYourSchemes We've already done that!]]. \
'''Acidicus:''' Releassssse a swarm of evil bees! \
'''Skales:''' Where would we even get evil bees?
* "Pirates vs. Ninja":
** When the ninja ask how they're going to get around Ninjago City without their vehicles, Sensei Wu offers them something he claims will allow them to get around better. They assume it will do something like conjure a portal, but when Cole examines the device it turns out to just be a bus token.
** Dareth. Enough said.
** All of the gags involving No-Eyed Pete and his seeing eye parrot.
--->'''Parrot:''' [[RunningGag Left! No, your other left!]]
** Garmadon doesn’t understand how to use his new Mega Weapon, resulting in him begging for it to work while chasing the Ultra Dragon and accidentally reviving the pirates.
--->'''Lord Garmadon:''' ''(to the Mega Weapon)'' Eliminate Dragon!\
''(nothing happens)''\
'''Lord Garmadon:''' (...) Destroy! Fire! Annihilate! Bad Dragon! Shoot it down pretty, pretty please?\
''(again, nothing happens)''
* "Double Trouble":
** Lord Garmadon and the Serpentine are trying to devise a new plan to defeat the ninja. Two Constrictai and Venomari {{mooks}} suggest making more pirates and recreating the Great Devourer, leading to their getting thrown off the Black Bounty and Garmadon pointing out that they [[NeverRecycleYourSchemes shouldn't suggest ideas that have already failed]]. Another Constrictai suggests making a giant ham sandwich. When Garmadon asks if it would be a '''poisoned''' ham sandwich, the snake hopes not because he is hungry. He also gets thrown overboard.
** Garmadon gets inspired after seeing his reflection in the Mega Weapon and exclaims "That's it!". A Hypnobrai {{mook}} asks if he means the giant ham sandwich and Garmadon throws him overboard as well.
** Throughout the episode, Cole is obsessed with cake.
** Turns out that Zane isn't just a RidiculouslyHumanRobot, he's also a DoAnythingRobot. He's used as a battering ram and his head lights up. Who knew?
** When the teachers and ninja are locked in a room, they try to find a lever that'll let them out. The first lever they pull makes the room compact ala ''Film/ANewHope'' trash compactor. The second lever not only doesn't stop the shrinking, it adds spikes to the ceiling.
* When Cole's dad is eliminated from the race in "Ninjaball Run".
--> '''Royal Blacksmiths''': ''(singing)'' Too big, too big. Too slow, too slow. We had a lead but let it go.
* When Garmadon wants to lighten the Dark Bounty's load, he tells the Serpentine to throw off any excess weight. One unlucky snake asks what to throw off. Cue shot to that same snake flailing as he's tossed off the ship, tumbles through the air, and lands in the ocean.
* "Child's Play":
** After the Ninja are turned into kids, they have a predictable reaction: they start screaming.
---> '''Cole:''' Oh, but I can't be a kid again! I hated being a kid! You can't drive, nobody listens to you... ''(gasps)'' Oh no... ''BEDTIMES!''
** Zane is also turned into a kid, despite being a Nindroid and past flashbacks showing [[BornAsAnAdult he was "born" in an adult-sized body]].
---> '''Jay:''' [[FridgeLogic Nindroids don’t turn into kids! Explain]] ''[[FridgeLogic that,]]'' [[FridgeLogic genius!]]\
'''Zane:''' I’ve extended my logic parameters, but nothing is coming up. This does not compute! ''(face begins to spark)''
* In "Wrong Place, Wrong Time" the earlier joke about Lloyd not knowing why Garmadon has an extra pair of arms comes back when Garamdon's past self wonders about the same thing.
-->'''Past Lord Garmadon:''' I don't understand. You have...uh, ''[[WhichMe I]]'' have four arms.
* Jay's over-the-top cry of "WHAT THE HECK IS THAT?!" upon seeing the Stone Samurai in episode 20.
* "The Stone Army" shows that the Ninjago version of Rock-Paper-Scissors is instead "Rock, paper, clamp" because the minifigures don't have articulate enough hands to make a scissors motion.
* In "The Day Ninjago Stood Still", Skales' BigNo after the Serpentine are sealed in the Stone Army's storage chamber is broken up by him coughing.
* "The Last Voyage":
** This episode has a RunningGag involving the status of Jay's underwear.
*** As the Bounty departs the dock, [[AmazinglyEmbarrassingParents Jay's mom loudly asks if he packed clean underwear.]] Jay irritatedly yells "YES!" as the rest of the ninja laugh.
*** Once a storm blows in, the entire crew sans Jay is trying to keep the ship stable. When asked why he isn't helping, Jay reveals he didn't actually pack underwear and doesn't want to get the only pair he has wet. Sure enough, Jay immediately gets splashed by a wave once he steps out to help and is left moaning "I should have brought an extra pair of underwear" into the next morning.
---->'''Jay:''' You think I'm trying to be funny? Okay, laugh all you want, but we'll see who laughs last when I have to [[GoingCommando go commando]].
*** Upon arriving at the lighthouse, Jay swipes a pair of Dr. Julien's boxers while nobody is looking.
** Jay decides to mess with Dr. Julien's tea-serving robot Tai-D by moving his cup around whenever it's about to pour tea. Tai-D eventually gives up and [[GroinAttack pours hot tea into his lap]], causing Jay to leap about and yell in pain as the rest of the team laughs.
** Cole starts [[DiegeticSoundtrackUsage whistling the Ninjago Overture]] as the ninja repair the ship. When Lloyd looks at him funny for it, he protests with "[[DefensiveWhat What?]] It's catchy."
* "Island of Darkness":
** Lloyd learns that he'll become the ultimate spinjitzu master. He responds by laughing and mocking the four ninja with "Jealous?" Afterwards, Lloyd is forced out of a mission to prevent him from facing his father prematurely. Jay responds with "Jealous" the same way Lloyd did just a moment ago, laugh included.
** While the team waits for Zane to retrieve the Falcon, Jay passes the time by using the medallion to play "I Spy" and call out stuff they're surrounded by. [[CallBack Like the last time he did this]], Cole is the first to lose his patience with Jay.
--->'''Jay:''' I spy, uh... another tree!\
'''Cole:''' Jay, how did you ever become a ninja? Seriously.
** Once Jay finds the Temple of Light by accident, Cole apologizes for questioning Jay's capabilities and says he's a fine ninja. "Not finer than me, but a fine—"
** A Stone Scout hands Garmadon some popcorn as he watches the Stone Army close in on the ninja.
** After the ninja regain their powers they proceed to kick some Stone Army butt...except Cole, who decides to moonwalk and dance on their heads once he traps them in dirt. He's Mi-Cole Jackson!
---> '''Cole:''' Hee, hee!
* Jay and his lack of vocab: "Bequeath, bequeath, bequeath!"
* When Garmadon is about to use the Garmatron to launch a dark matter bomb at Ninjago City, the ninja stuff General Kozu into the missile silo instead. He ends up getting launched through the window of Dareth's dojo, where his students promptly beat him up.
* When the ninja get to evil Ninjago and see it's been taken over, Cole gleefully talks about how he can't wait to see the look on the Overlord's face when he sees they're there. Cue the ninja getting shot at by a gun that shoots pure darkness.
--> '''Zane:''' Is that the look you were hoping for?\
'''Jay:''' Zane! *Beat* No...
* "That is not a coconut!"
* Garmadon is confronted with a warm-up period from the Ultimate Weapon:
-->'''Garmadon:''' [[YouHaveGotToBeKiddingMe WARMING UP!?]] YOU COULD'VE WARNED ME IT HAD TO WARM UP!\
'''Overlord:''' ''(flatly)'' [[DeadpanSnarker How could I? You were monologuing]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Season 3: ''Rebooted'']]
* "The Surge":
** After Kai gives a recap on the rebuilding of Ninjago City, the scene cuts to a video Jay took of him singing in the shower. It's then revealed that Kai is teaching a class at Wu's Academy and the video [[HowDidThatGetInThere somehow got into the projector]].
** In another classroom, Zane is being controlled by an "ultra remote" one of the students, Brad, bought in the city. Cole has to smash the remote on a desk in order to turn it off and free Zane, prompting the class to groan in disappointment.
--->'''Brad''': Mr. Cole is the worst.\
'''Cole''': I ''heard'' that!
** Jay complains about his pudding cup getting stolen despite him writing his name on it. Cole, who is scarfing down some pudding, comments that he didn't see "{{Motormouth}}" on the cup. Kai lets Jay have his pudding, though Jay then complains about the pudding not being cold due to being in Kai's bag all day. Zane uses a gadget built into his arm to cool the pudding, which causes Jay to quickly take the cup and start chowing down.
** Jay starts gushing about Cyrus Borg after hearing they got clearance for their field trip to Borg Industries, prompting Zane to kick his backside to make him stop.
---> '''Jay:''' ''(gasps)'' Not ''the'' Borg Industries. As in home to super genius reclusive savant Cyrus Borg? Inventor of the hover car and everything else cool in this world? ''(Zane kicks him)'' Ow...
** Brad asks why they're taking a school bus to Borg Industries rather than something cooler like the Ultra Sonic Raider or the Ultra Dragon. Cole claims it's because the latter options don't have a built-in microphone, doing a little dance while dubbing himself "the MC - the Mighty Cole!". Brad comments that "Mr. Cole is the worst" again.
---> '''Cole''': I heard that!
** Kai gets his foot stuck in the automated doors of Borg Industries' lobby. A few shots during P.I.X.A.L.'s introduction show him [[FunnyBackgroundEvent struggling in the background]], and he doesn't free himself until the students leave with her for the tour.
** P.I.X.A.L. asks what "Zane" stands for. He initially thinks she's asking about what he fights for, leading to him saying he stands for peace and other things until Jay points her real question out to him.
--->'''Jay:''' She means your ''name'', tin head.
** A couple of the female students encourage Nya to try a Perfect Match machine, which is supposed to determine somebody's perfect partner. Much to the group's shock, instead of saying Jay is Nya's perfect match (as the two have mutual romantic interest in each other), the machine pulls up a hologram of Cole. Nya demands that the students tell nobody about her results.
** After the Ninja barely manage to escape a crashing elevator, the scene switches to a pair of security guards in Borg Tower's lobby [[TemptingFate talking about how bored they are]]. The elevator promptly hurtles into the ground floor and explodes.
** The ninja attempt to reenter Borg Industries by jumping through a window, but end up [[GlassSmackAndSlide sliding off the glass]] and falling onto a window washing platform containing a small robot. The robot, alerted to their presence by Jay saying "Ow!" after his Techno Blade falls on his head, advances menacingly towards them... and is kicked off the platform by Cole before it has a chance to do anything.
* "The Art of the Silent Fist":
** Lloyd volunteers to help his dad demonstrate the Art of the Silent Fist. Said demonstration consists of Garmadon dodging all of Lloyd's attacks, which eventually culminates in Lloyd slamming into one of the monastery's support columns and knocking himself senseless to the point that [[CirclingBirdies golden dragons circle his head]].
--->'''Garmadon:''' Pupils, I give you the most powerful ninja in all the land: the Golden Ninja.\
''(Garamdon's students laugh)''
** After Nya's CoolCar is revealed, Garmadon asks why everything has so many weapons. Lloyd replies, "Says the man who once had four arms to possess the Golden Weapons." Garmadon's responce is to chuckle and admit that [[HypocrisyNod he deserves that]].
** While trying to find a way to shut down the city's power, Jay presses a button that plays [[DiegeticSoundtrackUsage the show's theme song]]. He says he loves the song, only for Kai to tell him to turn it off so they don't alert the Nindroids. Jay calls him a buzzkill before turning the music off.
** Jay's response to the miniature Nindroid?
--->'''Jay''': Aw, great! Now they come in ''fun size!''
** P.I.X.A.L upon finally deciding to help:
--->'''P.I.X.A.L.:''' The ninja have been discovered. Operation jeopardized. Calculating probability of success to affecting outcome by—Oh, who cares about probability?
* Jay and Cole arguing like little kids when they find out about the matchmaker machine.
* BAD NINDROID!! BAD NINDROID!!
** Echoed later in the same episode with "BAD SENSEI".
*** And let's not forget "BAD GLOWY!"
* Dareth saving the students is part this, part awesome.
* A guard in the Ninjago Aquarium goes for the alarm to alert of an intruder. Upon realizing it won't actually sound without any electricity, he resorts to just screaming "ALARM!"
* If you don't think about the scenario, Pythor's scratchy voice when he shows up in season 3 can become this.
* "Codename: Arcturus":
** The postman's attempt to help the ninja. Trying to figure out what "Project Arcturus" could be, he rearranges the letters looking for a SignificantAnagram.
---> '''Postman:''' I think I may have made a discovery. "Carrot Cup Juster."\
'''Wu:''' What is a "juster"?\
'''Postman:''' I don't know. ''Yet.''
** Nya's movie theater date with Cole and Jay. Afterwards, they say she promised to tell them who she would choose as her boyfriend and she chooses... [[TakeAThirdOption a random robot working at the theatre]], claims it has all the best parts of both of them, and names it Jole. The robot is less than enthused about this turn of events.
** Kai's attempts at flirting with a random girl. It does not end well.
** Pythor's FreudianSlip:
---> '''Pythor''': Prepare lunch. Oh, sorry. I mean "launch".
* In "The Void", Lloyd has trouble adjusting to zero gravity. [[{{Irony}} And then you remember that he was the one to suggest going to space]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Season 4: ''Tournament of Elements'']]
* "The Invitation":
** Kruncha and Nuckal make another appearance, with the former as Kai's opponent in a Slither Pit fight. The Skulkin is easily defeated, although not necessarily because Kai's gotten stronger since the last time they fought:
---> '''Kruncha''': You said to go down in the first.\
'''Nuckal''': I said ''don't'' be the first to go down!
** Cole is unaware that fortune cookies have fortunes inside of them, as he eats them whole.
** The fortunes with the invitations to the Tournament explode after the Ninja finish reading them. Jay's, Kai's and Lloyd's fortunes go up in smoke and they look towards Cole; after a {{beat}}, he suddenly jumps (making an unusually high yelp) and lets out a belch.
--->'''Cole''': At least I know I was invited.
** Garmadon says to not be fooled by Clouse's attire, as he's proficient in the dark arts and is [[TheDragon Chen's number two]]. Since up until recently the Ninja only knew Chen as the owner of a noodle restaurant, Cole comments that he thought Chen's number two was an eggroll and fried rice.
** This exchange:
--->'''Garmadon:''' I swore I would never come back to this place.\
'''Jay:''' You know, you should never swear. It's a sign of weak verbal skills.
* "Only One Can Remain":
** When Chen welcomes the elemental masters to the Tournament of Elements, he says everyone can DIE![[CueCardPause ...rect their attention to him]]. Garmadon says he forgot to mention Chen is fond of theatrics.
** Each of the Tournament's participants is provided with a room themed to their elemental powers. Much to Cole's frustration, his bed is made out of stone.
** Jay is relaxing in his room's hot tub when the first round starts. Bolobo shows up immediately and soon the two are fighting over a Jade Blade. When Bolobo spots a Jade Blade in Jay's bedroom ceiling, [[BattleStrip Jay takes off his towel to slap Bolobo in the rear and take the Jade Blade from him]].
** Just when it looks like Karlof is about to turn in the last Jadeblade, Kai uses a screwdriver to unscrew the metal fist holding the weapon. He then flies over to the Jadeblade display by shooting streams of fire out of his hands.
** [[{{Invisibility}} Mr. Pale]] asks the Ninja if he can sit with them to eat lunch, only for Jay to tell him to disappear. He actualy ''does so'', and Jay says he knows he's still there because his lunch tray didn't turn invisible with him.
* "Versus":
** Wu falls asleep while Nya's explaining her dilemma of trying to choose between Cole and Jay to him.
** When Nya asks Wu for some relationship advice:
--->'''Sensei Wu:''' No way. I'm not sticking my fingers into ''that'' beehive.
* Cole [[RunningGag constantly pointing out]] [[ItMakesSenseInContext how building a roto jet in an underground area is a terrible idea]], and the others deciding to build one anyway despite his protests. What makes it ironic is that Cole is the one who ends up piloting the jet once it's fully operational.
* "The Day of the Dragon":
** Chen has [[BumblingHenchmenDuo Kapau and Chope]] read the magic spell [[ClosestThingWeGot because Clouse isn't available]]. After they stumble over several of the words, Kapau asks Chen, "Shouldn't Clouse be reading this?"
** Jay's reaction to Garmadon becoming a half-Anacondrai from Chen's transformation spell:
--->'''Jay:''' First it was four arms, then you were a dragon. Would you mind picking a body and sticking with it, please?
** Kapau and Chope are ecstatic at how cool their transformation made them look and decide they need to change something else about themselves. Kai isn't having it:
--->'''Kapau and Chope''': We're gonna need cooler names!\
''(Kai launches a fireball at them)''\
'''Kai''': You're ''both'' still ugly.
** TheStinger has Jacob Pevsner reveal Clouse's order to "[[AmbiguousSyntax take him to feed (his) serpent]]" meant to put Jacob in charge of feeding it, not have him be fed to it. He then comments that the serpent doesn't want to eat anymore and wonders where everyone else is, [[BlindMistake being unable to see that the snake is dead and everyone else has left the island]].
* "The Greatest Fear of All":
** Kai lands his Elemental dragon in the middle of a street. After a heartfelt moment between him and Skylor, [[UnusuallyUninterestingSight an old lady honks her car's horn and asks if he could be a dear and move his dragon]]. The dragon lifts one of its legs to let her pass.
** Pythor is reintroduced sitting in a living room, having a conversation with a [[Film/CastAway basketball with a face painted on it]]. When he refuses to cooperate, the room starts rotating, revealing that he's living in a doll house within a prison cell.
** Garmadon and Lloyd teasing Pythor mercilessly because of his shrunken size when they go to him seeking advice on how to defeat Chen and his followers in their transformed state. One joke in particular was a complete slip of the tongue on Pythor's part, causing Pythor to admit he stepped right into it.
** Upon hearing that Chen's warriors have broken into the prison, Pythor attempts to hide in the dollhouse's wardrobe. It doesn't work because its doors don't have hinges, leading to him [[LampshadeWearing taking the lampshade off the nearby tiny lamp and sticking it on his head]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Season 5: ''Possession'']]
* "Winds of Change":
** After failing to stir up interest in Sensei Wu's tea shop, Jay says people are acting like he's sharing a communicable disease. His next line gives out a little TooMuchInformation about himself:
--->'''Jay''': I mean, sure, I have a cold sore, but it's hardly contagious!\
''(The other ninja back away from him)''
** Lloyd's possession causes the ninja to lose their ability to use Elemental Powers or summon Elemental dragons. Zane's powers deactivate at the worst possible time: while riding his dragon in the sky. Cue Zane falling and creating an ImpactSilhouette.
--->'''Kai:''' He's kind of fast. ''(Zane crashes into the ground)'' Whoa! [[BeyondTheImpossible I think he just broke the sound barrier!]]
** Before finding out Morro is possessing Lloyd, Jay notices that [[EvilSoundsDeep his voice sounds deeper than usual]] and quips that "Lloyd's gone through puberty".
* "Ghost Story":
** Zane decides to send Cole and Jay against Morro when he invades their ship. When Jay asks for his reasoning? "Because I'm the intelligent one!"
** Nya wonders why she's still steering when they have an autopilot, and presses a button. This causes an inflatable resembling ''Dareth'' of all people to pop up and "steer" the Bounty, in a homage to ''Film/{{Airplane}}''.
** Morro visits the Library of Domu looking for the scroll of Airjitzu, only to learn that Ronin stole it a few days prior. Before he can leave, a pair of monks mistake him for the Green Ninja and ask him for an autograph and selfie. [[https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ninjagomorroselfie.png The resulting selfie]] has Morro wearing a very obvious grimace.
** Jay, Cole, and Zane pass the time riding to Stiix by singing a version of "PlaygroundSong/NinetyNineBottlesOfBeer" that substitutes tea for the beer. It's implied they started at a ridiculously large number, as the verse Kai interrupts has nearly ''93,000'' bottles of tea. By the time they get down to no bottles of tea, Kai has joined in the song and it's well after nightfall.
--->'''Zane''': ''(laughs with the other ninja)'' That was enjoyable! Let's do it again.\
'''Jay, Cole, and Kai''': No! ''(continue to laugh)''
** Misako insists that Wu tells Nya about her parents, which the former argues against doing so because she is not ready. He finally concedes and tells her that since Kai inherited his father's traits to become the Master of Fire, Nya will become the Master of Water. Nya reacts accordingly by fainting.
---> '''Misako:''' Huh. You're right. She wasn't ready.
* "Stiix and Stones":
** Kai tells the other ninja to let him negotiate with Ronin over the price of the Scroll of Airjitzu. Ronin's initial asking price is two hundred, but Kai manages to haggle it ''up'' to four-fifty. Jay is not amused.
** The ninja find work building docks in order to pay off Ronin, with Zane looking out for Strangle Weed and gesturing to Kai to show him what to do with a crane. At one point, Zane accidentally swallows a fly and starts struggling to get it out again. Kai has no idea what to make of his flailing, but decides it means he should swing the crane around; the attached pole hits Zane and damages his voice module, making him talk backwards. Then some Strangle Weed grabs Cole and Zane starts beckoning towards it, which Kai interprets as directions to drop the pole. The pole almost hits Cole and Jay, and it ends up destroying the dock. Needless to say, they do not get paid.
** While Ronin's trying to sell the Scroll to Morro, the confrontation is interrupted by Kai and Jay loudly whispering about how to get rid of a lock. Apparently, Jay was trying to ''bite it off'' rather than pick it.
** Kai continues to demonstrate his [[SarcasmMode amazing negotiation skills]] when trying to get Ronin to save him from some Strangle Weed. In exchange for Ronin giving him a lift, Kai gives him ownership of his shares of the tea shop... along with those of the other ninja. Without their knowledge.
* "The Temple on Haunted Hill":
** Jay has managed to fix Zane's voice module so he's no longer talking backwards. However, his volume level got stuck too high in the process, resulting in the Ninja of Ice [[NoIndoorVoice yelling everything he says]].
---> '''Zane''': AT LEAST YOU CAN UNDERSTAND ME NOW!
*** Later on, when Zane attempts to [[GetAHoldOfYourselfMan help the other Ninja focus]], he has to clarify that even if his volume wasn't stuck, he'd ''still'' be yelling at them in this context.
** Zane points out a dumbwaiter as a means of escaping some flying swords. Since it's behind Jay, he initially thinks he's being called a dumb waiter before he spots it.
** Kai finds a picture of a ship in the ocean and asks if paintings are supported to move. Jay taps it and water starts pouring out of the frame into the room.
---> '''Cole''': Why would you touch the scary picture, ''Jay?!''\
'''Jay''': I didn't know it would ''do that'', ''Cole!''
* "Peak-a-Boo":
** While Zane's voice is back at a more reasonable volume, [[TalkLikeAPirate he's now talking like a pirate]]. Turns out Jay did it on purpose to make his voice "better".
--->'''Zane''': The precise elevation of the Wailing Alps be well over three leagues and twenty eight fathoms.\
'''Jay''': ''(snickers)'' Zane's so much cooler.
** Kai asks Zane how far away they are from the top of the Wailing Alps. Zane tells him there's at least a hundred thousand steps to go, which causes Kai to groan and say that at least he isn't counting. Pan over to Jay doing just that.
---> '''Jay:''' 267, 268, 269, 2''70'', 71, 72, 72—
** The ninja find a wild walloper[[note]]a yak-like creature[[/note]] while climbing the Wailing Alps. Kai and Jay get into an argument over whether it's a goat or a yak, with Jay changing his opinion partway through to it being a cow rather than a goat.
--->'''Kai''': ''I'm'' about to have cow.
* "Kingdom Come":
** "Ghoultar never talk! Oops--Ghoultar talked. Er… Ghoultar no talk from now on!"
** The people of the Cloud Kingdom are responsible for writing destiny. It was them who decided that Lloyd would be the Green Ninja ''and'' that Zane's voice would go back to normal right at that moment, which it does.
--->'''Jay''': Aww! He doesn't talk like a pirate anymore!
** Jay finds a scribe who's writing about Dareth, but accidentally knocks a pot of ink on the scroll. Back in Ninjago, Dareth crashes Kai's X-1 Ninja Charger into a cement truck and gets cement spilled on him.
** Apparently one of the ghosts' weaknesses is... compulsively dancing whenever they hear the ''Franchise/{{Ghostbusters}}'' theme.
** The Ninja get locked in a room with a bearlike monster and Kai tells the others to find an alternate escape route while he distracts the monster. After searching for a bit, [[ForgotAboutHisPowers Cole remembers he's a ghost and can phase through the room's walls to unlock the doors from the outside]].
--->'''Cole''': ''Oh'', I'm such a dummy.
** Sensei Wu and the others try to get Ghoultar to talk by bribing him with food. When he escapes shortly afterward and lands on Morro's skiff, he weighs it down despite being a ghost because...
--->'''Ghoultar''': Ghoultar likes Puffy Potstickers.
** Ronin spoils the ninja's moment of celebration at the end by asking if any of them actually know where the First Spinjitzu Master's tomb is.
--->'''Ronin:''' Oh come on, you all seemed so confident! \
'''Nya:''' Ugh! You ruin everything!
* "Curseworld, Part 1":
** Cyrus Borg returns with new vehicles for Jay, Cole, and Zane to use against the ghost army. Meanwhile, Kai gets nothing but a headband (thirty-two thread count to be exact) due to Borg spending too much time on the other three. Ironically, it actually proves useful for avoiding Soul Archer's arrows by acting as a ziplining tool.
* "Curseworld, Part 2":
** When Lloyd is taken into the Cursed Realm, he runs past Chen and Clouse, who are trapped in cages. Clouse is trying to saw through the bars.
--->'''Chen:''' Who was that? Was that Lloyd? \
'''Clouse:''' (''trying to break the bars with a nail file'') You're seeing things again, Master Chen.
** During the last battle between Morro and Lloyd, they go tumbling through dimensions. They eventually emerge in [[WesternAnimation/LegendsOfChima Chima]].
--->'''Laval''': Hey, where'd you guys come from?
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Season 6: ''Skybound'']]
* "Infamous":
** The episode opens with the Ninja, sans Nya, fighting some skeletons to get a scroll. It turns out they're actually filming a commercial to promote reading, complete with some rather projected and stilted dialogue.
** Jay and Zane are playing chess together, though (much to Jay's irritation) Zane keeps winning all their games. Consequently, Jay isn't in the mood to congratulate Cole when he announces he's figured out how to turn invisible.
--->'''Jay:''' Oh, then why don't you make like a ghost and vanish? I need full concentration.
** When Wu calls the team into the bridge of the ''Bounty'' to brief them on a mission, Kai initially thinks the problem is that the stores ran out of action figures of him due to lacking sufficient stock. When the team finally gets to Stiix, [[BrickJoke they find dozens of Kai toys scattered on the ground]].
** The team decides to stop by the hospital for a Grant-a-Wish visit while en route to Stiix, reasoning they have enough time to do so as long as they [[TemptingFate "don't encounter any problems"]]. While they're there, the paparazzi shows up outside the hospital. When Jay questions how they were found, the camera pans over to Kai posting about his location on social media.
--->'''Kai:''' "Reply. Of course I'm at the hospital. My hair is sick. Haha. Send."\
'''Nya:''' Are you sending out [[BlandNameProduct a Chirp?]]\
'''Kai:''' [[SocialMediaBeforeReason Uh, my followers have needs too.]]
** Clouse's first wish from Nadakhan is to get his spellbook back. As the spellbook was burned by Lloyd two seasons prior, Clouse barely has time to gloat about not needing the djinn anymore due to having access to his spells again before the book reignites.
--->'''Nadakhan:''' The book was last thrown into a fire. Perhaps you should wish for more than a pile of ash.
** Nadakhan finds a public information kiosk [[VirtualAssistantBlunder and struggles to properly interact with it]].
*** As the kiosk's virtual search assistant is represented by Cyrus Borg's head, Nadakhan initially thinks the assistant is trapped inside of the kiosk.
*** Nadakhan asks the kiosk where his crew is, only to be told he has to be more specific.
*** After asking about the whereabouts of his lover Delara, the kiosk informs him that she died shortly after he was imprisoned. Nadakhan repeats the word "Died?" in disbelief, prompting the kiosk to define the word.
** Lloyd asks for the volume of a TV broadcasting a news report on the Ninja to be turned up, only to be rebuked by a local because "No one here cares for them fruit-colored ninja." Cole objects to the descriptor due to a lack of black-colored fruit, only for Jay to tell him there ''is'' such a fruit.
--->'''Cole:''' ''Excuse me?'' What fruit is black?\
'''Jay:''' [[RhetoricalQuestionBlunder Uh, blackberries?]]
** During the news report about the Ninja's supposed crime wave, the owner of the Doomsday Comix store says he's ashamed he ever wore their underwear... [[VerbalBackspace before backspacing and claiming he meant their T-shirts]].
** Zane, upon hearing they are wanted, calls the police on himself. He justifies it by saying he was programmed to obey the law.
* "Public Enemy Number One":
** The police commissioner's eye starts twitching after Misako seemingly vanishes from right under his nose, leading the deputies to think he's going blind. For the rest of the season, the deputies continue to point out whenever his eye twitches, prompting the commissioner to yell that he isn't blind.
** Kai posts a riddle on social media to tell the rest of the team where to regroup. Jay complains about being the last one to figure out the rendezvous point was the old monastery, as Lloyd had never even been there before it burned down.
** Ronin remotely hacks Zane to capture him, casually commenting about all the functions he's disabling as he does so.
--->"I know it's unfair, but I disabled your voice box. And now I'm shutting down your defenses and — Oops. There go your arms."
** Upon figuring out that Nadakhan can shapeshift, Cole comments that he could be anyone. Jay promptly sticks his arm through Cole to prove that the latter isn't the djinn.
--->'''Cole:''' [[YouHaveGotToBeKiddingMe Seriously?]]
** When Ronin announces he's captured the rest of the team, Cole immediately turns invisible, prompting Jay to complain about getting left behind.
** Ronin's conversation with Jay when he tries to arrest the latter.
--->'''Jay''': You think you can electrify the master of lightning?\
'''Ronin''': Yeah. But are you the master of kablooey?
** Ronin figures out where Cole went by [[TrailOfBreadCrumbs following a trail of funnel cake crumbs the latter left behind]]. When informed of this, a still-invisible Cole taunts Ronin about trying to capture something he can't see. Ronin turns on his eyepiece, which turns out to have infrared capabilities that can detect where Cole is.
--->'''Cole:''' But how do you catch what you can't see? Oh. Where am I? Am I over here?\
''[Ronin activates the thermal vision]''\
'''Cole:''' Oh, or am I over... ''here?'' Maybe I'm over here?\
''[Cole fades into sight]''\
'''Cole:''' ''[chuckles]'' I'm not just ''like'' a ghost. I ''am'' a ghost!\
'''Ronin:''' I got thermal vision, Cole.\
'''Cole:''' [[OhCrap You do?]]
* "What do you want? More power? More prestige?... Maybe [[ItMakesSenseInContext a ray gun that works?"]]
* Jay preparing to enter the nest of the Tiger Widow Spider in "On A Wish and a Prayer".
--> '''Cole''': What are you waiting for?\
'''Jay''': (sarcastically) Well, I'm sorry if I'm not jumping down there right this instant! Do you see what I see? Of course not! Because all I see is my life flashing before me!\
({{beat}})\
'''Nya''': Now are you ready?\
'''Jay''': Whatever happened to sticking together? What if Nakadahn persuades me to say my final wish? Any number of bad things could easily happen to me alone down there!
* "My Dinner With Nadakhan":
** Cole and Nya doing Jay impressions while trapped on the island with the [[BigCreepyCrawlies Tiger Widow spider]].
** Dogshank playing a harp while Jay and Nadakhan are eating dinner.
* When Nya, Cole, and Lloyd infiltrate Nadakahn's crew, Lloyd is cast as "Mutt the Mute" because he can't do a convincing pirate accent. He ends up speaking in front of Clancy and weakly declares it a miracle.
--> '''Nya''': They say you were born with no tongue. But look at that. There it is.
* Nadakhan tries to get the police commissioner to talk by threatening to throw two of the detectives overboard. The commissioner initially refuses, saying that they're both like sons to him, but when pressed...
--> '''Commissioner''': Alright, you can have Tommy.
** Tommy then gets offended, since the other guy was the one who almost [[SayingTooMuch told them about the tiger widow venom]]. The commisioner says ''that's'' why he doesn't like Tommy.
* Two pirates are watching Jay and his group make plans. One claims he can read lips and starts saying Non Sequitors. The other grows frustrated and claims they can read lips better... and also says non sequitors. Cut to Jay who is saying all of this nonsense in an attempt to throw off spies.
** As a bonus, one of the words is [[CallBack bequeath]]!

[[folder:''Day of the Departed'']]
* When Chen is brought back from the dead in Day of the Departed, he wonders how he was revived... [[Main/AttentionDeficitOohShiny then almost immediately turns his attention to all the buttons on his throne.]] He eventually loses control of his chair and crashes offscreen.
** If one pays close attention to Chen's entire appearance, he never leaves his throne throughout the entire special--quite literally OrcusOnHisThrone!
* Cryptor referring to Chen as "the skinny man in the silky girl robes."
* Dareth defeats Kozu by using the Helmet Of Shadows to get the latter's minions to continuously bash Kozu against a wall. Dr. Saunders is not amused at Dareth having destroyed one of his museum's walls doing so.
* Cole calling Sensei Yang's students more tiresome than Jay.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Season 7: ''The Hands of Time'']]
* Acronix's obsession with all the new tech he missed out on in his 40-year-absence. He even posts on social media about his evil victories.
* Whenever the Time Twins, a.k.a the Hands of Time, prove to be PolarOppositeTwins, specifically on their opinions on technology.
** i.e Acronix is obsessively loving technology, Krux is obsessively hating technology.
* When Kai sarcastically pointed out that even though Acronix and Krux are twins, one of them (Krux) looks much older, Acronix revealed Krux was born three minutes earlier than him. It's hard to tell if Acronix was genuinely ComicallyMissingThePoint or being sarcastic.
* Acronix mentioning he likes Machia after seeing her getting Cyrus to build the time travelling device. Krux decides to tease him by saying he has a crush, which naturally denies but admits she is cute. On the surface, but deep down a pile of snakes. What makes it funnier is [[AstonishinglyAppropriateInterruption the Slow-Mo Time Blade interrupted their conversation.]]
** The twins' look on their faces is amusing; Krux's is surprise while Acronix's is happy. [[FridgeBrilliance Maybe he was relieved that the Time Blade, (which just so happen to house his ability to slow down time), had came by and changed the rather awkward subject?]]
* In "The Attack", when Cole, Jay, and Zane are playing around with one of the Time Blades they acquired, Cole accidentally tears apart Jay's stuffed animal, "Mr. Cuddlywump", causing Jay to shriek in terror, then cover up his sadness by saying this:
--> '''Jay''': (Sadly) Mr. Cuddlywump...! (Normal) [[MoodWhiplash ...Is a teddy bear that I used to love when I was 5, but now he's totally lame and-]]\
'''Cole''': We know you still sleep with him.\
'''Jay''': I don't care who knows it! (Sadly) Mr. Cuddlywump...! (Hugs the stuffed animal)
** A few moments after, when Cole, Jay, and Zane go off to play around with the Time Blade some more, Jay tosses his stuffed animal away... Only to come back for it and take it with him.
* Kai's voice actor briefly breaks character at one point in "Lost in Time":
-->'''Nya:''' We have to help you!\
'''Kai:''' Not just you-you! Young you too, Wu! ''(In a noticeably different voice, as the camera pans away)'' Woah, that's a mouthful...
* The conversations between [[NumberTwoForBrains Blunk and Raggmunk]] are comedy gold, especially in regards to making plans and making up excuses for why they fail their missions. An example of them losing one of the Time Blades in "A Line In The Sand":
--> '''Raggmunk:''' What are we going to tell the Hands of Time?\
'''Blunk:''' The moon was in our eyes?\
'''Raggmunk:''' That's...not bad. Actually, yeah, let's go with that.[[note]]It's daytime.[[/note]]
* The Hands of Time's huge rant towards the Vermillion generals for losing the Time Blade in "The Attack".
* While it's not commented on, the sheer absurdity of Borg selecting a failsafe password that's ''1300'' digits long, especially since entering it quickly is kind of the whole point.
* During the Vermilion Warriors's first attack, Acronix pointed out it was odd the Vermilion Warriors were going after Cyrus Borg's tech store first then kidnap him, until he realized that is what Krux wanted.
* Zane's neural pathways get scrambled following a system reboot in "Scavengers", causing him to spout non-sequiturs:
--> Hello? Hot dog rainy day in seven.\
Nineteen! Gargle my pudding! My pudding!\
The treadmill was invented in 1818.\
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Season 8: ''Sons of Garmadon'']]
* In the first episode of the season, Jay and Cole enter a monastery looking for Master Wu. The monks of said monastery all have taken a vow of silence, and thus don't talk to the two. Jay initially thinks they're being ignored because Cole introduced himself as the Master of Earth, until Cole corrects him.
--> '''Jay''': ''(loudly)'' [[ComicallyMissingThePoint CAN YOU POINT US TO HIM?]]\
'''Meditating monk''': ''(points)''\
'''Jay''': THANK YOU! I LIKE YOUR PLACE!\
'''Cole''': ''({{facepalm}})''
** After learning that their lead was another dead end, Jay and Cole get into an argument, which eventually leads to one of the monks yelling at them to stop fighting. This causes other monks to break their vow as well, something they're not happy about. Jay and Cole promptly leave.
* A small meta joke a little earlier on. Jay and Cole are arguing about time travel and Cole brings up how a small change in the time stream could cause them to look completely different... directly before the two of them remove their masks revealing that, like Lloyd, they now use their movie designs (though Cole's hair is different, being closer to his pre-redesign hair).
* Episode 77, ''The Oni and the Dragon'', has a few of moments.
** During the beginning, when Harumi and the Ninja are discussing who might be in charge of the Sons of Garmadon, Harumi gets a bit off track when she finds something... personal.
---> '''Harumi''': Forgive me, but is that... (''carefully picks up a pair of blue underwear on the console'') [[{{Squick}} underwear]]?\
'''Jay''': (''laughes nervously as he takes the underwear from Harumi'') We're usually more organized. But our leader got lost in a time stream... [[BlatantLies They're Cole's.]]\
'''Cole''': They're ''blue''!\
'''Kai''': [[ToiletHumour You're lucky they're not yellow.]]
** Zane and Cole need to interrogate a [=SoG=] member who got caught during the first episode, they plan to use the Tea of Truth (a G-Rated magical version of TruthSerums) to get him to talk. Unfortunately, before they could get to the [=SoG=] (identified as Luke Cunningham), another convict tries to escape and causes Cole to [[PoisonedChaliceSwitcheroo switch the cups by accident]]. Since they both look alike, Cole has no idea which is which. When they reach the suspect, Cole tries to get him to drink the Tea of Truth and drinks what he thought was the regular tea. When Luke refuses, Cole blurts a few things out.
---> '''Cole''': Oh, don't you get it? [[SayingTooMuch If you don't drink the Tea of Truth, we won't get answers! Oh...]] (''realizes what he said and covers his mouth'')\
'''Luke''': ''(looks to his tea then to Cole)'' You trying to trick me?\
'''Zane''': Cole, I think you drank the wrong cup!\
'''Cole''': [[OhCrap I see that now.]] ''(gives the Tea of Truth to Zane)'' But in full disclosure, I'm trying my best to look like I didn't. ''(a few seconds pass, with Cole failing miserably to hide the fact he [[CanNotTellALie can't lie now]])'' Aw, it's not working, isn't it?\
'''Luke''': Ha! So you can't lie, huh? Oh! You pee in the swimming pool?\
'''Cole''': [[TooMuchInformation Oh course! Who doesn't-]] ''(covers mouth)''\
'''Luke''': Heh! Where are you hiding the Princess?\
'''Cole''': [[SayingTooMuch Oh, the]] ''[[SayingTooMuch Destiny's Bounty]]'' [[SayingTooMuch in a cove off Hollow's Bluff-]] ''(covers mouth)'' But tomorrow we'll be at the village of Stiix.\
'''Zane''': You're giving away our secrets!\
'''Cole''': I can't lie!!\
'''Luke''': What sort of power does the Green Ninja have?\
'''Cole''': It's some kind of energy, or green light. I dunno, like, all our Elemental Powers rolled into one. Who can say? Zane! Knock me out! Do something!\
'''Luke''': ''(laughs)'' Wait till the gang at [[SayingTooMuch Laughy's hears about this]].\
'''Zane''': "Laughy's"? You mean the karaoke club on the south side?\
'''Luke''': ''(stops laughing)'' [[OhCrap Oh...]]\
'''Cole''': Haha! Who's the sucker now? Good thing I didn't tell him about my fear of singing. Oh, ZANE! Can we ''please'' get out of here?
* In "Game of Masks", Kai attempts to threaten Harumi into giving the Ninja the masks. Emphasis on "attempts to".
--> '''Kai:''' This can end one of two ways: either you hand the masks over peacefully—\
'''Jay:''' I don't even have to know the rest of the choices. I like that one.\
'''Harumi:''' Or what?\
'''Kai:''' Or we'll have to get all ninja up on ya.\
'''Harumi:''' What does that even mean?\
'''Kai:''' I don't know. I was improvising. Usually Lloyd does the talking. But he isn't here. B—Where's Lloyd?!
* The Ninja (seemingly half-drunk) singing the Weekend Whip very poorly in "True Potential." Highlights include Zane nearly being knocked off the Karaoke stage and then straight up skipping parts of the song after losing the rhythm.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Season 9: ''Hunted'']]
* During the week the ninja were stranded in the First Realm, Jay has... [[SanitySlippage lost a few marbles]]. He's so out of it that he's [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness uncharacteristically calm]], where normally he's one of the first to panic in situations like this. At one point in the first episode, he's pretending that a piece of wood is a new ''video game console'' he built. He doesn't even bat an eye when the Dragon Hunters take them to the Pit to fight Slab, and during said fight, he even said that they're not getting out of the Pit alive and tells Kai to accept it because ''it's more fun that way''. This lasts until the beginning of episode three where we have this gem:
--> '''Kai''': ''(while surrounded by Dragon Hunters)'' You with us Jay?\
'''Jay''': We're totally outnumbered. They have weapons, and we don't. I haven't eaten all day, not to mention haven't showered in a week. [[BreakingTheFourthWall Do you see there are kids in this audience? This level of violence is far too much for them to handle]], let alone '''me!'''\
'''Zane''': He's back to normal.
* In ''Radio Free Ninjago'', as Lloyd is making a rousing speech to the citizens of Ninjago, Harumi and Killow try to break into the recording room. As Lloyd is about to finish the speech with the line "The Resistance never quits!", they finally break in...only to find the rebels gone, their comrades immobilized, and this very line stuck on a loop. ''And it goes on and on.'' That's right - ''[[TheStraightMan Lloyd]]'' had successfully ''{{troll}}ed'' '''[[KnightOfCerebus Harumi]]'''!
* In ''Green Destiny'' we get this gem when the ninjas, alongside the dragons, try to defeat the Colossi through the Vengestone chains they obtained from the Dragon Hunters.
--> '''Kai''': Even if we had more [chains], it's not thick enough to stop it.\
'''Zane''': Then perhaps next time we should use thicker chains.\
'''Cole''': There ain't gonna be a next time!!\
'''Jay''': And [[TheSmartGuy Zane's]] the [[OutOfCharacterIsSeriousBusiness smart one]].\
'''Kai''': No, he's on to something... Look at all that chain. If we could use it, we could lock it [the Colossi] down.\
'''Cole''': And who of us is stupid enough to [[LeeroyJenkins jump on that thing?]]\
'''Kai''': Cole, say no more.\
''Cue Kai jumping on top of the Colossi without the slightest shade of hesitation''
** Later during the DancePartyEnding, the Ninja reunite with their love interests, including Cole who is greeted by a woman carrying some cupcakes, he immediately rushes over to her...[[BaitAndSwitch In order to eat]] [[SweetTooth the cakes she's holding.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Season 10: ''March of the Oni'']]
* When Wu gets to the Skybound arc while explaining each mural depiction of the Ninja's various victories, everyone is confused except for [[RippleEffectProofMemory Jay and Nya]] who give each other sly smiles.
* The fact that the best thing they could think of to monitor Lloyd while he's in the mist is a Go-Pro strapped to his head.
* The debate over whether or not to give Garmadon a sword.
** When he finally gets one, he semi-attacks the team to charge up his Oni powers before unceremoniously throwing himself off the Bounty. This earns a moment of silence and WTF expressions from the others
* [[TemptingFate Lloyd thinking Garmadon can't cause too much trouble since he doesn't have his powers.]] Cue Garmadon casually turning off the ship's engine, resulting in them almost crashing into the ground. Then he says the button should have been labeled even though Nya said it was.
** Zane then mentions Lloyd should keep an eye on him, much to the latter's annoyance on having to effectively babysit his own father.
* The ''entire'' "Why are you smiling?" exchange between Lloyd and Garmadon.
* Jay proposes to Nya in the middle of a possibly-apocalyptic battle. (Though could also cross into Heartwarming and Tearjerker)
* Garmadon and Lloyd after Lloyd destroyed the Realm Crystal:
-->'''Garmadon:''' Took you long enough.\
'''Lloyd:''' ''[Offended]'' Oh come on, that was awesome!\
'''Garmadon:''' It was adequate!
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Season 11: ''Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu'']]
* Wu chewing out the team for slacking on their ninja duties, culminating in the fact that they'd been using a freaking ''divine basin'' as a ''hot tub''!
** And they still use it again later in the episode even after knowing better.
*** And then you remember that [[ToiletHumor Cole admitted to peeing in the pool during the truth tea incident in Son's of Garmadon.]]
* Kai's response to Wu telling the Ninja that it has been months since they defeated the Oni
--> '''Kai:''' Well, well, who's counting?\
'''Wu:''' I am!
* Two Words: Electro-Chicken!
* The montage of P.I.X.A.L. re-building the Samurai X cave into the Monastery, while Jay is obviously playing video games in the center of the construction zone.
** This apparently happened on and off over the course of ''six months''!
* Clutch Powers only agreed to explore the pyramid because the Explorer's Club was going to cancel his membership.
* The fact that the skeleton they find impaled on a booby trap is named after the show's original writers.
* In the tail end of "Ninjas vs Lava", there's a super-cut of every time Kai's unconscious body got smacked into something during the escape sequence.
* How nonchalantly Nelson describes Clutch as "the man riding a fireball into the city".
* The ''entirety'' of episode 7 aka "Snaketastrophe". Meta humor at its finest!
* How the Ninja ''finally'' call Wu out on how he hasn't been forthright with crazy stuff from his past.
* What's Clutch doing in the middle of the chaos? Treating his hospital stay like it's a vacation!
** Also this line of his: "Lemme tell you something, Ninjago is ''always at stake''!"
* Ironically, Aspheera's comments to Wu upon the latter visiting her in Kryptarium Prison counts as this
--> '''Aspheera:''' Ah, Wu. How Fitting. Here we are again. You are free and I am unjustly imprisoned.
* In “The Absolute Worst,” three criminals (Ultra Violet, the Mechanic, and Fugi-dove) find out the ninja are missing and decide to break out of prison via the sewers. While they’re escaping they each tell a story about which ninja they think is the worst, overexaggerating their abilities and personalities in the process, complete with an anime-style art shift. In particular:
** Ultra Violet's story involves Lloyd and Nya both begging for mercy once she had them surrounded, and Zane suddenly turning into an over-the-top shapeshifting KillerRobot to apprehend her.
** Fugi-Dove's story basically has Ultra Violet's perception turned up to eleven, with Cole, Kai, and Lloyd praising Fugi-Dove as the most threatening villain they've ever met before he subjects them all to a CurbStompBattle, and Jay going full ''Anime/DragonBallZ''-style to defeat him, perfectly complementing the Animesque ArtShift.
* Cole tells the kids in the Never-Realm village the story of how they got there, which freaks the kids out and when Kai asks him what he told them we get this delightfully meta exchange:
--> '''Nya:''' You think that story is appropriate for little kids?\
''' Cole:''' [[LeaningOnTheFourthWall Five to thirteen? Absolutely.]]
* Upon finding "Red" the wolf, Lloyd proceeds to spend several episodes telling her his life story. Akita is not amused, much less sympathetic, to say the least.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Season 12: ''Prime Empire'']]
* Cyrus Borg getting upset that the ninja think Milton Dyer's security system is better than his, partially because Dyer's security has robot dogs.
--> '''Cyrus Borg:''' Please, robot dogs are for amateurs!
* As the criminals break into Borg Industries, they reach traps that [[ThisLooksLikeAJobForAquaman would have been easier if they didn't dismiss]] [[HarmlessVillain Fugidove]].
** The RunningGag of {{lampshad|eHanging}}ing this, followed by Fugidove enjoying his time out of prison.
*** The first time, [[Film/SpiderMan3 Fugi-Dove is casually walking through the streets, waving at the pedestrians, high-fiving a paper boy and casually stealing a paper, all the while a theme song with his name plays]].
*** The second time, he's sitting on a bench, feeding pigeons birdseed by hand, er, wing, including a random chicken.
** One trap involving lasers has Captain Soto pathetically snaking his way across the screen.
* [[SidetrackedByTheGoldenSaucer Cole taking his time customizing his character instead of getting to level 13 as the inmates scale the tower.]]
* Upon entering Prime Empire, the first group of players that the ninja encounter is an entire guild dedicated to, and lead by, Jay. All of them have avatars of various outfits Jay has worn throughout the series.
* The first player Okino meets. TooDumbToLive doesn't begin to describe him. The Minnesota-esque accent he has only makes it funnier. [[BlackComedy Then there's all the other players that come after him]].
* Lloyd interrogates Richie the Whack Rat after tying him up. Honestly, everything else Richie says and does afterwards is pretty comedic too. The fact that [[ActingForTwo both of them are voiced by]] Creator/SamuelVincent makes it funnier to listen to.
--> '''Lloyd:''' Who are you?\
'''Richie:''' ''(chuckles)'' I am of the Brotherhood of Rats! And I am sworn to silence! Do your worst! You’ll get nothing outta me! NOTHING!\
'''Lloyd:''' So, you’re working for Unagami?\
'''Richie:''' [[IllNeverTellYouWhatImTellingYou You’re trying to trick me into telling you that Unagami ordered us to ambush you! Well, it won’t work!]]\
'''Cole:''' Yeah, he’s not the brightest, is he?
* When wearing their Prime Empire masks, the ninja's eyes resemble emoticons.
* Cole gets a little ''too'' into it during the DanceOff in "One Step Forward, Two Steps Back," shouting advice to Jay and Nya from the sidelines.
* The episode "Stop, Drop and Side Scroll" has the remaining ninja participate in a PlatformHell AutoScrollingLevel, where they have to [[CheckpointStarvation restart from the beginning every time]] [[TrialAndErrorGameplay someone dies]]. Even with the fact that they are in TheMostDangerousVideoGame, [[YetAnotherStupidDeath it doesn't prevent]] [[TheManyDeathsOfYou the scene from being any less]] [[HilarityEnsues entertaining]].
* The episode "Ninjago Confidential" is a parody of old noir detective films with Zane in the role of the detective. The reason for this is that while trying to track down Milton Dyer, he did some research on detectives in an attempt to make their search easier. As a result of this research, he puts on a trench coat and fedora and starts doing a PrivateEyeMonologue. This leaves PIXAL baffled and she spends almost the entire episode playing the StraightMan. This interaction in particular is hilarious:
-->'''P.I.X.A.L.:''' You are beginning to get on my nerve circuits. Are you going to talk in that voice the whole time?\
'''Zane:''' Her eyes showed annoyance, but her heart revealed that she respected my unorthodox techniques.\
'''P.I.X.A.L.:''' ''(irritably)'' My heart did not reveal that. Every part of me is annoyed.
** They run into Dareth at Laughy's (the Karaoke club he runs) and P.I.X.A.L seems genuinely confused to see him.
** Zane narrates the fight he's having ''before'' he makes his moves. Even with his opponent gleefully pointing it out, he fails to realize how his opponent can foresee his every attack.
** Upon being ambushed by the Mechanic, he speaks identically to Zane, which further annoys PIXAL.
** Towards the end of the episode, Zane is captured and PIXAL decides to try out his method. This actually works and leads her to Dyer.

[[folder:Season 13: ''Master Of The Mountain'']]
* Lloyd [[RunningGag constantly]] saying Wu is in a "funk", which the latter strongly denies.
* Misako convincing Wu to go Shintaro with the ninja:
--> '''Misako:''' Now, you listen to me, Wu. I've had about enough of this moping around. You are going with the ninja!\
'''Wu:''' I can't go charging off to far-flung places! Adventures and legendary kingdoms are for the young. You of all people should understand that.\
'''Misako:''' ...[[TranquilFury Why should]] ''[[TranquilFury I]]'' [[TranquilFury understand]]?\
'''Wu:''' [[OhCrap Uh]], [[ThatCameOutWrong w-what I meant to say was, uh, um]] -\
'''Misako:''' You listen to me, Wu. You are going on this journey, and you ''are'' going to like it! Is that understood?\
'''Wu:''' But-but I - the chicken need -\
'''Misako:''' ''Understood?'' ''(to Lloyd, cheerfully)'' He's in.
* Lloyd's hilarious distrust of Vania just because she's a princess like Harumi was. Cole sees right through this, pointing out that it was one time.
* Basically anything that Murt says or does. His reenactment of the ninja fighting the Skull Sorcerer is worth a few laughs.
* Queen Murtessa develops an affection for Jay and a strong dislike for Nya.
* [[{{Tearjerker}} Is the episode "The ''Real'' Fall" a sadder episode of Season 10's "The Fall"?]] [[SubvertedTrope No]]. [[IFellForHours It's more comical, actually.]]
* This gem as they escape the mines.
--> '''Vania:''' [[OhCrap Cole]], [[OutOfFocus the Lava Monster!]] What if it's still in the cave, waiting for us?\
'''Cole''': [[TemptingFate What, just standing there, staring at a wall? No way, I'm sure he's gone back to his-]]\
(''[[TheBusCameBack Cue Lava Monster]], [[NotHyperbole who apparently has been staring at a wall for the past few episodes.]]'')
** The slow-motion added to emphasize this as they pass it by makes the moment all the more hilarious.
* After becoming the new queen, the Munce all think Nya is very fierce and very ugly, according to Chancellor Gulch.
* The Geckle civil court and its frequent use of InsaneTrollLogic on determining whether or not Kai and Zane are skeletons.
--> '''Kai''': We aren't skeletons! I mean, we ''have'' skeletons, of course, but there's so much more to us, like veins and organs and stuff!\
'''Zane''': ''(deadpan)'' I have none of those things.
* Zane picks up the Geckle tradition of showing approval by throwing a rock at someone... that someone being Kai. Repeatedly.
* The Geckle proclaim Kai as "Chancellor Red Ninja who is Not a Skeleton." This name persists throughout the season.
* Princess Vania is apparently a fan of Clutch Powers, almost always citing phrases and rules from his books during her time with Cole, Wu, and the Lowly.
* This lovely subverted [[Literature/TheLordOfTheRings reference]] when the ninja are stalling the Skull Sorcerer's army:
-->'''Lloyd:''' You!\
'''Jay:''' Shall!\
'''Kai:''' Not!\
'''Zane:''' Be granted permission to traverse beyond this point!\
''[Everyone looks at Zane, incredulous]''
* The Ninja decide to spend what they think will be their last moments mocking the Skull of Hazza D'ur constantly repeating what the Skull Sorcerer says:
-->'''Skull Sorcerer:''' You'll perish at the talons of Grief-Bringer.\
'''Skull of Hazza D'ur:''' Grief-Bringer!\
'''Nya:''' Okay, that's getting annoying.\
'''Kai:''' Yeah, I don't know who to look at, you or the skull.\
'''Jay:''' I'm looking at the skull, it's not as ugly. Hahaha!
** Likewise, Cole is in no way impressed with the Skull Sorcerer's evil speech and can even predict what he's going to say, despite being too far away to hear:
--->'''Plundar:''' Look, the Skull Sorcerer.\
'''Fungus:''' Tis' unfortunate we cannot hear what he says.\
'''Cole:''' You're not missing much. Once you've heard one of those villain-speeches, you've heard them all. He's just saying "Blah blah, my evil plan, blah blah, no one's gonna save you."\
'''Skull Sorcerer:''' No one is coming to save you.
* Kai is confused when Plundar says he's part of Cole's crew, questioning the very idea of Cole having a crew.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:''The Island'' (miniseries)]]
* The ninja (minus Lloyd) have lost the living statues and come across a rope bridge. Jay immediately freaks out, predicting that the bridge will break and they'll all fall to which Zane is forced to admit that it does happen to them [[LampshadeHanging significantly more often than it should]].
** After they, against all odds, successfully make it across the bridge without it breaking, Jay celebrates... only for the bridge to immediately break.
--->'''Jay:''' See!
* Mammatus explains the story of the Storm Amulet to the ninja and then declares that since they know too much they must stay as prisoners. Jay immediately questions why he bothered to show the amulet to them at all.
* Upon figuring out that Jay is, not for the first time, going to be offered up as a human sacrifice, Kai and Nya have this exchange:
-->'''Kai:''' Who'd want Jay?\
'''Nya:''' Um, me?
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Season 14: ''Seabound'']]
* The last few minutes of the season premiere, "A Big Splash" has some:
** The second Kai and Nya's parents arrive, Maya begins fussing over Nya and tells her they'll be staying until they figure out what's wrong with her powers.
** Poor Ray is carrying a massive amount of luggage that conceals his face. Despite Kai offering to help, he's able to continue carrying it all.
** Nya approaches Kai, ready to chew him out for calling their parents despite her saying "no". He casually says "What?" while the rest of the team is behind him knowing Nya's ready to blow, with [[FunnyBackgroundEvent Jay cowering behind Master Wu in fear.]]
* "Unsinkable"
** Upon hearing P.I.X.A.L call the Hydro Bounty [[TitleDrop unsinkable]], Cole freaks out at this blatant invocation of MurphysLaw. P.I.X.A.L is visibly confused and the others force Cole to stop before he can explain it, instead prompting a LastSecondWordSwap.
--->'''Cole:''' You know what happens when you call a vessel "unsinkable", right?\
''(P.I.X.A.L. is visibly confused while everyone else cringes. Lloyd motions for Cole to zip his mouth.)''\
'''Cole:''' Oh, it doesn't sink, of course. ''(Everyone nods in approval.)''
** Zane spends the entirety of the episode talking (and later walking) like a pirate. The reason for this is that, like with detectives in "Ninjago Confidential," he downloaded thousands of terabytes of pirate movies and sailor novels as preparation for the journey.
* "Long Live the King"
** Klamar's troops try to drown the ninja but luckily, they're able to get their rebreathers on in time. This includes Zane, who doesn't actually need one due to being a Nindroid. When P.I.X.A.L questions him about this, he admits that he simply likes the aesthetic.
--->'''P.I.X.A.L.:''' It appears they did not think we would have rebreathers. Zane? You don't require a breathing device.\
'''Zane:''' Yes, but I like how it completes my attire.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Season 15: ''Crystalized'']]
* "Farewell the Sea" is a very sad episode with the exception of one joke at the very end where Jay takes off the fake beard he was using to [[BeardOfSorrow represent his sorrow]] and says in the flattest voice ever...
-->'''Jay:''' Ow. That hurt.
* In "A Mayor Problem" after the ninja arrived at Aspheera's cell, Kai unmasked himself and asks Aspheera if she remembers him, but Aspheera just gives him a confused look. Which leads Kai to say that his name's Kai. Aspheera stole Kai's fire element but forgot all about Kai.
* In "Public Enemies 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5", the Ninja discover that Aspheera's staff (along with a bunch of other important artifacts) is not in Borg Tower's vault and has been moved. Kai complains that they can't just call up Cyrus and ask him where he moved the staff so they could steal it... which P.I.X.A.L. proceeds to do, using the ''exact'' same wording Kai used. Yes, including the fact that they are trying to steal it.
** If that wasn’t enough, the sheer thought that [[RefugeInAudacity Borg apparently gave them every bit of information they needed with no qualms whatsoever]] might do the trick.
* As a small RunningGag in this season, P.I.X.A.L. is given a task to create vehicles which would takes a calculated time frame of 653 hours the first time and 1276 hours the second time…[[BeyondTheImpossible and getting it done in less than a day]].
--> '''Lloyd:''' How did you build these so fast, P.I.X.A.L.?\
'''P.I.X.A.L.:''' A nindroid needs her secrets.\
'''Zane:''' [[LampshadeHanging I find this very illogical]]. We will need a thorough download at a suitable time.
* The second half of "A Painful Promise" is an intense moment, with the Ninja desperately fighting off the New Ninja as Aspheera tries to absorb Nya's water element from her to return her to normal. [[MoodWhiplash The first half however?]] Wu trying to keep Aspheera's attention so she doesn't leave or start wrecking the Monastary. And Aspheera's response? [[GoKartingWithBowser Put Wu up to several "challenges" so she could best him.]] Her bragging "I win~!" after some of the games only adds to the hilarity.
** Bicep curling (and tail curling in Aspheera's case)...
** Wu trying to use his age as an excuse for why he lost, on one of the very few people that are around the same age as him.
--->'''Wu:''' Well... I ''am'' thousands of years old.\
'''Aspheera:''' So am I! Next contest!
** Arm wrestling...
--->'''Aspheera:''' YES! Such a Wu-ser! [[DontExplainTheJoke It's like "loser" but with "Wu" in it, cause that's your name!]]
** Pool, which Aspheera cheats a perfect game with by whacking the side of the table with Wu's staff...
** Staring contest, where Aspheera uses her tongue to startle Wu into blinking for another win (which isn't even necessary given that she's a snake and therefor doesn't blink)...
** And pancake-flipping. Aspheera's pancakes are in a neat pile on a plate, Wu's pancakes are all stuck on the ceiling.
--->'''Wu:''' You ''really'' did this in prison?
** All of his pancakes that were stuck on the ceiling immediately fall on top of him after he says that. In the next scene, he still has a pancake stuck on his hat.
* For the last few episodes, Zane has had his emotion meter turned off to avoid thinking about his grief. Come "Ninjago City vs. Ninja", he turns it back on... and all those emotions hit him like a ton of bricks. He starts screaming his head off, which leads to Kai trying to keep Zane quiet by putting his hands over Zane's mouth, while Cole turns off Zane's emotion meter.
* In "Kryptarium Prison Blues", when it's lunchtime in Kryptarium Prison, Zane is given motor oil to drink, and he claims he doesn't drink motor oil. Soon after, a food fight breaks out between the Ninja and the other prisoners, and Zane can be seen calmly drinking the motor oil.
* Throughout the entire season, Fugidove is utterly convinced that Jay has turned to a life of crime and takes him on as his "apprentice." Jay, who for the life of him can't even remember who Fugidove is, spends a good chunk of his screen time trying (and failing) to convince Fugidove that, no, he's not becoming a criminal. Fugidove's attitude soon starts getting... ''clingy'', and then he 'sacrifices' himself so his "Jaybird" can escape the cops.
** Meanwhile, the other ninja deal with this by... totally ignoring it.
* "The Council of The Crystal King", while an intense episode with the reveal of Kabuki Mask's true identity, has several hilarious moments with the villains.
** Pythor's mocking of Aspheera's constant "Revenge!" catchphrase, particularly if [[TakeThat a viewer found her constant prattling about revenge in Season 11 quite annoying]].
** During Lloyd's attempt to masquerade as The Mechanic, things seem to be going well... At least until Kabuki Mask takes notice the news of The Mechanic being a fake. The sight of these five (Well, four) villains bickering amongst each other makes it quite hilarious, as well as the... [[ShoutOut phrasing for Kabuki Mask's warning]].
--->'''Kabuki Mask:''' Unfortunately... It seems we have an [[VideoGame/AmongUs imposter among us]].\
''[The entire group, minus Mr. F, gasps.]''\
'''Pythor:''' What?! Where!?\
'''Lloyd:''' ''[[OhCrap (visibly nervous as Aspheera's glaring at him)]]'' Who?\
'''Aspheera:''' ''(pointing at King Vangelis)'' It's you!\
'''King Vangelis:''' How DARE you!\
'''Aspheera:''' You're the only one wearing a mask!\
'''King Vangelis:''' Are you blind?! So is he! ''(points at Mr. F as everyone looks to him)''\
''[[[SilentAntagonist Mr. F]] gives a DeathGlare to the others.]''
** To distract the villains, Lloyd pulls the old LookBehindYou trick...and ''everyone'' falls for it, although Pythor is quick to react to him escaping. The awkward silence only makes it better.
* The Council of the Crystal King manages to steal the Golden Weapons. With Aspheera, Vangelis, and the Mechanic each taking weapons associated with their respective enemy on the Ninja team, Pythor is left with the Nunchucks of Lightning because they're all that's left. There's just one problem--the Golden Weapons are all powerless, and while the Sword of Fire, Scythe of Quakes, and Shurikens of Ice are still functional as normal weapons, the Nunchucks were previously held together by a chain of lightning. Now that they're powerless...
-->'''Pythor:''' (''holding up the disconnected hilts in disbelief'') These are ''broken''!
** While the rest of the Council begins arming the Crystal Spiders, Pythor's attention remains focused elsewhere...
--->'''Pythor:''' (''under his breath'') Bloody useless nunchucks...
* As the Council prepares a ritual to give the Crystal King his physical form, Aspheera says numerous incantations that naturally include the word "venge". Mid-ritual, Pythor starts silently mocking her.
* The Crystal King empowers the now-Weapons of Destruction and gives them each to his followers. While mostly a serious moment, there are some moments of levity.
** The Mechanic retrieved the Shurikens of Ice, but as they fly out Mister F grabs one.
--->'''Mechanic:''' What?! Those were ''mine''!\
''(The other Shuriken flies out into the Mechanic's hand, appeasing him)''
** Pythor is delighted to see that the Nunchucks of Lightning live up to their name again.
--->'''Pythor:''' Finally, these ''work''!
* Pixal goes to Borg for help repairing Zane then she asks him for help with what is happening outside, however, Borg has been too busy working on some mechs to look outside until Pixal opens the blinds.
-->'''P.I.X.A.L.''': We require your assistance.\
'''Borg''': Oh, well, you're in luck! I've been up all night, working on a new line of mechs and ... [[FailedASpotCheck eh, wait... Help with what?]]\
''(P.I.X.A.L. picks up a remote and opens the blinds, showing Borg the invasion outside.)''\
'''Borg''': Perhaps I need to take more frequent breaks.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Other]]
* Lloyd and his dad play baseball using Spinjitzu in the ninth graphic novel. After 27 innings and the score still at 0-0, they give up.
** And then they play catch. The ball goes right through ''tree trunks'' when Lloyd throws it.
!! Wu's Teas
* "Secret Teas":
** Wu reveals the existence of his secret teas for no good reason at all:
---> '''Wu''': ''(to Jay)'' Whatever you do, don't go to the hatch in the back corner behind the third shelf where I keep all my "Secret Teas." Okay?\
''(The other Ninja appear, interested)''\
'''Wu''': In fact, forget I even mentioned this forbidden, yet extremely enticing room full of magic.
** Wu checks in on the Ninja after a while to make sure they didn't get into his secret teas. [[BlatantLies Jay says they didn't]], even though his right arm is now a tentacle, Lloyd is the size of a child, Nya is tall enough to be stooping under the ceiling, Cole is glowing red intermittently, and Kai is floating. [[FailedASpotCheck The only part of it Wu questions is Kai floating]], to which Jay says he learned how on the internet.
** After Wu leaves, Jay finishes his cup of tea and, with a puff of blue smoke, turns into an octopus.
* "Spinny Signs":
** Kai gets into a "spinny sign-off" with the manager robot from the coffee shop across the street.
** As the two twirl their signs, a man says he wants the tea Kai had and runs over to Steeper Wisdom. Then the robot spins her sign some more, causing the man to proclaim "tea is so ten seconds ago" and run back to the coffee shop.
** After the sparks from Kai's Spinjitzu set the tea shop on fire, he comments that [[TemptingFate at least no one got hurt]]. [[InstantlyProvenWrong Cue Wu running out of the tea shop in a panic because his beard is on fire]].
* "Music Night, Parts 1 and 2":
** [[DreadfulMusician Dareth is so bad at playing the clarinet]], a customer jumps out of the window to get away from it and a man ''has his head in a teapot'' and is headdesking against a table.
** When the Ninja start rocking out, the customer who jumped out the window jumps back in and lands on the guy with his head in a teapot.
** Since the tea the Ninja drank to gain musical skills was untested, they're rocking out too hard and could hit the "Nuclear Note". Wu decides to save everyone by having Dareth play the clarinet to spoil their jam.
** When Dareth starts playing the clarinet, the man who jumped out the window the first time does so again.
* "Names":
** Lloyd gets inspired by Cole's griping about the coffee shop not getting his name right right to run a promotion: if Steeper Wisdom doesn't get a customer's name right, they'll steep Cole in a giant teapot.
--->'''Cole''': Cool! [[DoubleTake Wait, what?]]
** Lloyd gets the names of customers like Jeremiah Bobblestein, Flerry [=McFloyster=], and Bob Rattlebottom right... but somehow messes up ''Dareth'''s name.

!!2014 Blooper Reel
* An instrumental track of "Hello My Baby" plays intermittently through the short, setting the lighthearted tone.
* The show's cast members are portrayed as being the size of actual minifigures, meaning they struggle to climb up a human-scaled stool in the recording booth.
* The guy voice-acting Garmadon is named "Marmaduke Wellington" and believes in MethodActing, as he's wearing a paper bag mask of Garmadon's face on his head, has ribs painted on his coat, and has stuffed and tied an additional set of sleeves to his wrists and jacket to emulate Garmadon's extra arms. Tommy Wu is less than enthused about the hazards of such a practice.
-->'''Marmaduke Wellington:''' Being the two senior thespians on the program, we have a duty: to teach the younger actors about... discipline! Dedication! I, for one, believe that in order to ''play'' a character, one must ''become'' a character. ''[flourishes with his hand, accidentally hitting Wu in the face]''\
'''Tommy Wu:''' Well... you're... certainly a character. ''[pulls at one of Wellington's fake arms]''\
'''Marmaduke Wellington:''' And what was that supposed to mean?\
'''Tommy Wu:''' Oh, brother. I can't work like this.
* While Jay is recording action sounds, he accidentally [[GroinAttack hits himself in the groin]] with nunchucks. [[ShareTheMalePain The other Ninja's voice actors collectively wince at the sight.]]
* After Wu records his last lines before his character gets eaten by the Great Devourer, Wellington asks [[WhoWritesThisCrap "Who writes this stuff?"]] and complains that [[ClassicallyTrainedExtra Wu's background as a performer of Arthur Miller and Shakespeare is going to waste]].
-->'''Tommy Wu:''' And now I've been swallowed whole by a giant snake. ''[sighs]''
* The Ninja's voice actors have a take where they each give a random line. While Kai and Cole's goofy lines are original to the outtake reel and Jay's line is silly in-context, Zane yells his BigNo from "Tick Tock" while sliding towards the mic on his knees. [[LettingTheAirOutOfTheBand The instrumental of "Hello My Baby" slows to a stop as he does this]].
* During one of the reaction sound takes, a chef is brought onto the set and told he's chopping vegetables for his scene. Turns out he was brought on to voice the Stone Warriors, and he gets a bit ''too'' into character as he starts swinging knives around like crazy, the Ninja's voice actors yelling and fleeing in fear as he swiftly approaches them.
* Lloyd's voice actor looks noticeably older than the character does and somehow forgot his hair.
* Wellington drops his script in front of Wu while he's spinning a staff around to record action sounds. His attempt to retrieve the script results in him getting whacked several times by the staff, including on his head, groin, and having it slammed down on his hand.
* The identity of the Green Ninja gets changed to Lloyd at the last minute to be "a better surprise". It's ''Jay'' who starts complaining abut this, saying his contract stated he was going to have the lead role.
* Cole spins off the stool by accident while recording reaction sounds and falls. His legs somehow come off because of this.[[note]][[ArtisticLicense Actual minifigure legs usually aren't removable from the hips unless they're deliberately pried off.]][[/note]]
* The last take of the day is the Ultra Dragon, acting as Cole's father and his quartet, singing a song about Cole from "The Last Voyage".
