VideoGame/MeltyBlood goes back and forth in the SlidingScaleOfSillinessVsSeriousness, making a great work providing a balance between the darkness and violence of VisualNovel/Tsukihime, and the sheer goofiness of Anime/CarnivalPhantasm.
----

* In Act Cadenza it is possible to assemble teams of two characters for the Tag and Team modes. Each team will have a distinctive name, and you can finds some gems like these:
** Hisui & Kohaku: Hisui & Kohaku.
** Neko Arc Chaos & Sion Tatari: Apologies to Hitchcock.
** Hisui & White Len: Plum Sandwiches Are Unforgivable.
** Miyako Arima & Shiki Nanaya: The Long Road Of The Panda.
** Hisui & Mech-Hisui: Which one is the real one?
** Mech-Hisui & Neko Arc: Cat and Mechaniloid (This one would be more of a HilariousInHindsight, as they would become a selectable pair in Actress Again).
** Kohaku & Mech-Hisui: Dangerous Kohaku Technology (Same deal as above).
* Several of the winquotes are worth a chuckle or two:
** In Actress Again, in her winquote against Akiha, Sion comments that she's a little worried because the rent for the basement room was a little too high, but then, she is revealed that Akiha was actually leasing it to her for free! Sion then concludes that Kohaku (Of all people) must be "Troll behind this".
** And speaking of Sion, looks like even she is not immune to the so-called "Tohno Gland"; in her Act Cadenza winquote against Shiki, she remarks that she had to fight because Shiki distracted her from her calculations; but it wasn't his "Mystic Eyes of Death Perception", it was just... him.
** And then there's the winquote of Hisui & Kohaku against Akiha: Hisui starts apologizing to Akiha, but then claims that, using force in a strike campaign is unavoidable. Even Kohaku is impressed:
---> Kohaku: 'Oh, Hisui-chan. You really had no mercy!'
** The resident Stoic badass Kouma Kishima, of all people, politely asking Kohaku to stop calling him "bocchan".
** Apparently Kohaku is TooSpicyForYogSothoth; In his winquote against Kohaku, Nrvnqsr Chaos, the embodiment of chaos himself, remarks that he will spare her life because his beasts are having troubles dealing with her... now that's really significative.
** And looks like Satsuki has shades of CovertPervert: in her winquote against Shiki, she notices that he's unconscious, and nobody's watching, so she decides to take "a little liberty"...
** After defeating Nanaya, Miyako comments on how scary the experience was, because that version of Brother Shiki was wild, although cool.
** In one of her generic winquotes, Kohaku remarks that she will keep training to control... er... protect Shiki, Akiha and the Tohno Mansion.
** In her winquote against Len, Arcueid compliments her for the effort she put during the fight, and admits that she underestimates her, but then she's revealed that Len was trying to act like her; Arcueid then comments that it's strange, because she's usually Foreshadowing not that violent. Len may have had Red Arcueid in mind when she said it.
** On defeating Neko-Arc, Sion gives her just one warning: to stop calling her "Egyptian kneesocks".
** Ryougi Shiki's win quote against Neko-Arc has her demanding "The anthropomorphic cat who can barely stand within broadcast censorship guidelines" to hand over her phone after wondering aloud why she has "that guy's" number. Said guy is heavily implied to be Mikiya, her love interest in her series.
*** Her win quote over Aoko is also just as hilarious since, to her surprise, Aoko wasn't at all what she was expecting her to be, given that her only source of information about her is from Aoko's own sister, Touko, and we know just how much Touko loves her younger sister.
** Riesbyfe, in one of her generic winquotes, states that she can put a force of five tons in her punches... but then she decides that's it's too excessive, and reduces it to two tons.
* Hisui & Kohaku in general: Thanks to the Tatari, they were given comedic, yet interesting, fighting styles that involve using a vast array of items of tools tied to their chores at the mansion; adding a little FridgeLogic, their fighting styles are actually switched around in regards to their normal chores: Hisui fights with cooking tools despite the fact that she's not exactly a good cook, but she does a great work cleaning; and Kohaku uses a broom in battle, despite the fact that she's a little clumsy for cleaning, but her cooking is excellent.\
\
Although, adding a little FridgeBrilliance, Kohaku can also throw plants in battle, which is related to her gardening, and Hisui can attack with a duster and a bucket of water, which is related to her cleaning.
* As a matter of fact, Kohaku is a good source for such funny moments due to how CrazyIsCool she is: in one instance, she admits that she's responsible for several glitches and screw-ups in versions before Act Cadenza, she even admits to be responsible for things such as Sion's infinite Combos, or White Len's Tsundere personality. And let's not start with Mech Hisui, her Magical Amber persona, or the giant version of Neko Arc Chaos.
* Anything involving the Neko arcs, specially when Neko Arc is paired with Mech-Hisui.
* Sion facepalming at the beginning of each duel? Priceless...
* School Uniform Akiha's ending in Actress Again: After defeating the final opponents Neko-Arc and White Len, it is revealed that Akiha was in a sleepover in a friend's house, attempting to tell a scary story about cats, and how much she dislikes them. Naturally, despite Akiha's insistance on it being a scary story, her friends find it funny, and even cute.
* Nrvnqsr reacts with disbelief to fighting Neko Arc Chaos.
* Pretty much everything about the Archetype:Earth vs Kohaku & Mecha Hisui fight in Actress Again. From Mecha Hisui using a scouter on AE only for it to break, to Mecha Hisui comparing their situation to "bamboo spear against mobile suit", to Kohaku wondering if AE was "King Neco-Arc". Finally, if Kohaku and Mecha Hisui actually win, Kohaku cheers that they defeated a "Nyandamoon" while Mecha Hisui remarks that the victory used up Kohaku's entire life worth of good luck.
* Some of the characters' move names are hilarious, special mention goes to Shiki's "Even I'm Not Sure What This Is Kick".
* Seeing everyone faceplant to Powered Ciel's Last Arc in Type Lumina is hilarious, but it gets even better with Kohaku who has seven different message she writes in blood as she bears the full brunt of the attack.
** Miyako, on the other hand, doesn't even take the attack herself - Master Panda does while she cries out in horror.
** Hisui assumes Yamcha's iconic death pose.
** Neco-Arc takes the hilarity even further; instead of faceplanting, she just stands there with a ThousandYardStare and awaits the ginormous explosion about to befall her.
* Hisui's new Last Arc in Type Lumina references Take Moon volume 2, with her slicing the enemy using a cursed katana faster and faster... before being snapped out of it by a kick from Akiha. (If she uses it on Akiha, Kohaku slaps her with a PaperFanOfDoom instead.)
* Neco-Arc's new theme in Type Lumina is a silly and raveworthy song that takes the cat noises from her previous theme and arranges it to actually form some kind of lyrics. It's both gut-bustingly hilarious and insanely catchy.
-->"Nya nyanyanya nyanyanyanyanyanya..."
* Speaking of Neco-Arc, her moveset consists of a cell phone known as Neco Packet 2022. One of the moves involve going on "Tmitter", where doing so causes her phone to catch fire; Neco-Arc glows red and has super armor for a few seconds afterward.
* Despite gaining new and frightening powers, Dead Apostle Noel gets little to no respect from the other characters. Shiki straight up doesn't give a shit about her when she tries to say she's been investigating him, Roa savagely calls her an OldMaid, Arcueid decides to bring her power level down to Noel's just to give her a chance (which is hilariously insulting given how ridiculously powerful Arcueid is), Ciel is unsurprised she would stoop that low, and Aoko casually makes fun of her in her story.
-->Shiki: "Don't bother. I don't care."\
Roa: "And another thing...! Why don't you act your age for once?! That youthful appearance isn't fooling anyone!"\
Arcueid: "All right. I'll bring myself down to your level."\
Red Arcueid: "Shut the hell up, insect. Do you want me to crush you?"\
Ciel: "Of course. I always expected as much."\
Aoko: "You might be disappointed. My blood is ice cold, and not sweet at all, either."
* One of Mario's Arc Drives has him perform a rapid assault with his puppet, before stringing an unwilling Noel for the final blow.
* In Type Lumina, if you score ten consecutive victories with Red Arcueid, her win quote has her switch back to regular Arcueid in tone, because she's blown off enough steam.
* Akiha proves to be a wonderful Troll in Miyako's story as Miyako demands her, "Give me back my brother!" and Akiha says, "If you want him, you can have him," and tries to give her Kouma (who, ironically, is more-related to her by blood than Shiki).
* One of Saber's pre-battle moments has her searching the area for a certain restaurant, noticing her opponent, and then shifting into her armor. Doubly funny if said opponent is Aoko as her response is, "Hey, I know that place! Let's grab a bite to eat after this!"
* In Boss Rush 4 of Type Lumina, Shiki is split into 17 different parts with one for each potential heroine. Both Ciel and Akiha are tempted to keep their respective ones for themselves. Only Akiha doesn't end up trying to keep the one attracted to her, but rather the Shiki that is attracted to both of Hisui and Kohaku, explaining why four Shiki statues ended up at the Tohno manor.
* Edmond Dantes' Story Mode in Type Lumina has him confronted by Ciel. His first words to her are mocking her that she's in the city to sell indulgences. Ciel responds that you can't buy forgiveness... because nobody in Japan would spend money on it anyway.
** At the final battle of Dantes' Story Mode, he confronts Michel Roa Valdamjong, who doesn't recognize him and attempts to recruit him. Dantes, having been the one to perma-kill Roa in all the Fate franchise timelines, instead opts to kill him again.
