While a lot tamer in its comedy in comparison to other romantic comedy series, there are still a lot of moments that will definitely give you a laugh.

----
[[folder: General]]
* Practically, every moment in the manga when the characters are drawn in simplistic styles with [[BlackBeadEyes dot eyes]], funny things tend to happen.
** The same can be said for any time Miki turns her head in frustration with those dotted eyes, as if she's trying to [[BreakingTheFourthWall break the fourth wall]].
* The second variant of [[EyeCatch eyecatches]] sees many of the characters competing over who the voice message robot mascot will select as the victor. Special mentions go to Satoshi's overconfidence only to be shot down and Tsutomu's sheer determination and over-the-top expressions compared to everyone else's.

[[folder: Anime Movie]]
* In the movie, we have Miki's interaction with the Gastamen, a group of kids who are essentially a parody of ''Franchise/SuperSentai'', first she pretends to be Sentai villain, and later she's seen doing Sentai poses while the kids and onlookers watch, ''Meiko's'' reaction only sells it even further and even Yuu can't help but bust out laughing at Miki's antics.

[[AC:"Episode 1: They're In Love, He's Handsome - But I Can't Forgive Them!"]]
* The first time both the Koishikawas and Matsuuras sit down with each other, Miki is in disapproval the whole time, but when she ''finally'' submits, [[WackyParentSeriousChild the parents of both families begin blowing horns and tossing streamers everywhere and being to dance and celebrate as if they were children]], implying that they knew this would be a huge challenge.
* Miki throws shade at Yuu for telling her how loud she was at the dinner where they met and asking her if she's finally given up trying to stop the divorces. Yuu, unsurprisingly retaliates with no effort.
-->'''Miki''' (in a condescending tone): You talk pretty rough in spite of your nice looks, why don't you do something about it!?
-->'''Yuu''': Yeah, well your face and way of talking are both pretty rough, you do something!

[[AC:"Episode 2: Side Effects of a Kiss: He Doesn't Understand My Feelings"]]
* Let's list all of the reasons why Miki was attracted to Ginta back in middle school. He's [[HairTriggerTemper short-tempered]], he gets easily [[{{Keet}} excited]] and [[LuminescentBlush flattered]], and ''he's a [[ExtremeDoormat patsy]]'', as noted by Miki herself. All shortcomings as Meiko points out.

[[AC:"Episode 9: Part Time Job - The War of Love Depends on Sales"]]
* Meiko first meeting Satoshi, where he makes it painfully obvious that he's attracted to her. Meiko, who's not too thrilled, sharply shuts her book and prepares to leave while he proceeds to tell her how popular she is, even going as far as to note that she "won by three lengths", presumably in chest measurements. [[DoggedNiceGuy You can only tell what happens when he asks her out on a date]]. Not exactly the greatest first impression to make.
** In fact, because [[CasanovaWannabe Satoshi]] regularly brings out Meiko's {{Tsundere}} side, most of their interactions, regardless of how serious the situation is or becomes, are guaranteed to have at least one hilarious moment.

[[AC:"Episode 11: Birthday - Yuu Is Watching Me!"]]
* Ginta's hostile confrontation with Yuu turns into an embarrassing moment for the former when he tries to threaten Yuu not to do anything weird to Miki while they're at home alone. It backfires when Yuu wants to know ''what'' he's not supposed to do, turning Ginta into a flustered and stuttering mess and ending with this gem:
-->'''Ginta''': Jeeez! How come you gotta be so mean? All I want you to say is that you won't do anything. That's all I want to hear, okay!? Come on, just say it, will ya?
-->'''Yuu''': (thinking) You know, this guy is pretty fun to tease!

[[AC:"Episode 18: The Direction of Love - Things Aren't Going as Planned"]]
* When Meiko returns to school after being suspended for the Namura deal, people start gossiping behind her back and even in front of her. The GossipyHens get stopped by the simultaneous {{death glare}}s of Miki, Yuu, Ginta and the [[RecurringExtra recurring]] {{Meganekko}}, who then angrily sniff at them before they take Meiko away.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYnaEr8vAsk&t=60s Yuu somehow leaping onto]] a horse that is charging at Miki for no reason, not hurting it at all, ''and'' sticking the landing perfectly. It defies logic.

[[AC:"Episode 20: Doubtful Twosome - Yuu and Miwa Are a Couple?"]]
* After the two start regularly meeting up with each other, Satoshi and Yuu get MistakenForGay after Chigusa hears rumors beginning to surface. Being the GenreSavvy [[TheTrickster Trickster]] that he is, Satoshi deliberately fuels said fantasies to tease Miki, and even ''Meiko'' [[YaoiFangirl gets caught up on them]].
-->'''Miki''': (annoyed) Hey, how come your face turning so red, Meiko?
-->'''Meiko''': I wouldn't talk, you're pretty red yourself, Miki..

[[AC:Others]]
* Ginta becomes really cocky before his tennis match in Episode 27, and Miki and Yuu remind him that his cousin, Tsutomu, will be ready to take him on. All three of them proceed to mimic what he would say, shouting "GINTA, IT'S TIME FOR OUR MATCH!" before the trio starts bursting out laughing. Once the very next scene starts, guess who shows up, and guess ''exactly'' what he says.
* It's revealed in a series of flashbacks that Tsutomu has been in love with Arimi ever since grade school and every time he claims he wants to move on, he becomes attracted to her again, loses control of himself and regresses. As such, Arimi's also been pummeling him since then and each punch Arimi throws at him in the flashback even changes his appearance based on his age (high school, junior high school, and elementary school).
* Yuu is forced to crossdress as a princess in one of Suzu Sakuma's commercials and is embarrassed by and enraged with family's reaction to it, putting him in a bad mood that whole night. The very next day, Ginta begins awing over the beautiful princess he saw in the ad. [[TranquilFury Yuu is still not to happy about it]]. HilarityEnsues.
** Satoshi even jokingly hits on Yuu after seeing the commercial [[OhNoNotAgain leaving Miki and Meiko speechless]], and he then proceeds to tell Yuu's decision to remain anonymous a complete waste and offers to be his manager, only further enraging Yuu, who puts on a calm yet unsettlingly stoic glare. Satoshi gets the hint and of course, says he was only kidding while trying to cheer him up.
* Suzu's reaction to Miki being Yuu's girlfriend after believing that she was Meiko. The hiragana characters for "how disappointing" appear behind her, and Miki [[MediumAwareness hilariously points that out]] while a large boulder and a tiny rock hit her head out of nowhere.
* As Ginta's crush on Arimi begins to grow, Miki doesn't hesitate to poke fun at him knowing he'll get embarrassed. Meiko even points out in one scene that he became as red as a tomato, giving Miki the idea to call him "Mr. Tomato".
* Miki forces Yuu to make a [[PinkySwear pinky-promise]] to pick her up from her job so they can plan for their trip. She even goes as far as to sing an adorable yet childish song to go along with it at the courtyard of the school, where some of the other students can see them. Yuu is understandably embarrassed by this.
* [[StalkerWithACrush Tsutomu has a habit of somehow managing to follow Arimi almost]] ''[[StalkerWithACrush everywhere]]'' [[StalkerWithACrush she goes]], which in turn causes him to appear out of nowhere and call out anyone involved (mostly Yuu or his easily provokable cousin, Ginta). Episode 36 even has Ginta on watch during his "date" with Arimi, believing Tsutomu would appear "right out of thin air" at any second. Arimi is in disbelief that he would even go that far, but after a long and quiet pause, both of them proceed to say "I wouldn't put it past him" and Arimi then joins in on the search.
* The creative staff go out of their way to pinpoint the ''exact'' moment where any chance that Satoshi had with Meiko officially died. During the second Christmas episode, Satoshi gives Meiko a red dress in exchange to going with him to a holiday dance. Once there, Satoshi comments how red goes with Santa and begins to sing ''Literature/RudolphTheRedNosedReindeer''. Meiko then pauses for a second and out of nowhere becomes offended thinking he's comparing her to a reindeer [[CallBack like the times he previously compared her to a horse]]. The next episode, which takes place during New's Years Day, has her become just as hostile and aloof as she had been previously during the first-third of the series, though it seems as that got patched in the episode after that one.
* In Episode 47, While Meiko and Namura talk on the beach, Miki is bored and approaches a bunch of local deer to feed them. The deer, who are all [[BigEater VERY hungry]], glare at Miki and start surrounding her to get more treats, even [[SuddenlySpeaking suddenly chanting "Give Us More Food!"]] . [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere Miki ends up pitching a terrified fit and runs away SCREAMING]], and if their dialogue in the English dub is any indication, this isn't the first time they've scared off a human. (TruthInTelevision: [[http://othartryggvassen.tumblr.com/post/98036291623 Several Japanese parks have deer on the loose]] and the visitors can feed them, so sometimes this happens in RealLife.)
** The previous episode has Miki talking to two deer asking if Meiko and Namura will be okay. The deer move their heads as if they were rejecting the idea. Miki then thinks to herself that the deer are "cold, and not cute", which somehow hilariously manages to piss them off.
* [[LargeHam Ginta's]] over-the-top enragement to Miki and Yuu's break-up, thinking that Yuu did something to her. He's willing to head over to America so much that a US flag appears right behind him while the national anthem begins to play.
* During a group fishing trip, Tsutomu bothers Michael about keeping his fishing hook out of the way while trying to usurp Ginta's fishing skills. Later that night, both Tsutomu and Michael beginning arguing over who caught the now grilled fish, only for Yuu to swipe it out of their grasp and start eating it.
* Once the parents know that Yuu and Miki believe they are siblings, [[MoodWhiplash They immediately start laughing and brush it off]] and proceed to explain everything, including how they knew about their kids' relationship the whole time. Youji however, isn't to thrilled at the fact that Yuu didn't think he was really his real father, grabs him and begins knocking him on the head.
