* Just like in the Monty Hall version, the Wayne Brady version of the show has people bringing in random items so when they're called on at the end of the show, they will get some money from the host should they have the correct item. A woman is asked to produce a certain item and when she doesn't have it, she gives the excuse that her mother (who was sitting next to her) has it. Unfortunately, it did not count and Tiffany Coyne, who was doing the quick deal at that moment, tells the mother that she owes her daughter the $100 she could have won.
* One deal envelope had the clue "It's something from South Korea." Wayne Brady suggests that it could possibly be tae kwon do lessons, a trip to South Korea, or a Korean car (i.e. a Hyundai or Kia). The contestant decides to go for the envelope... and inside is dancing lessons for "[[{{Music/Psy}} [=ZONKnam Style!=]]]" ''Everyone'' in the audience immediately got up and started doing the distinctive "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bZkp7q19f0 Gangnam Style]]" dance, even the contestant and Wayne himself!
* A deal which parodied ''Series/TheDatingGame'' had Wayne Brady playing an apparent Scottish pirate named Sean, and Jonathan Mangum pretending to be Cat Gray (the music guy). Pirate ship Zonks and Mangum playing air keyboard (so much so that Wayne even imitates him) ensue.
* For December 23, 2016, ''anything'' involving the guest appearance by Wrestling/TheNewDay. Smash for Cash has never been this theatrical.
* March 6, 2017: On the Jukebox game (where Wayne and Jonathan improvise a song about a hidden prize [[InTheStyleOf In the Style Of]] an artist or genre randomly selected by the player), Music/StevieWonder comes up. Jonathan admits that he can't sing in Stevie Wonder's style, so he does it as [[Music/TheB52s Fred Schneider]] instead. The combination is funny.
* June 19, 2017: One contestant is a massager. Wayne asks for a massage before making the deal. HilarityEnsues.
-->'''Wayne:''' '''''OH THAT'S THE SPOT! HALLEEEEELUJAH!'''''
* While making a deal with one contestant, she asks if she can just say no to everything and Wayne responds by shutting the lights off, as though she canceled the show at that very second.
* When one contestant inadvertently passes on a very cool car, Wayne makes the entire audience lay down on the floor in solidarity.
* December 30, 2019: There was a RunningGag involving Malta, originating when one contestant says she's a snowboarder from there. Throughout the course of the episode we get highlights like Wayne being elected to its cabinet, Wayne becoming king, Tiffany usurping him and finally culminating with the prize won by the contestant who went for the Big Deal of the Day, a trip to Malta! (Which in all likelihood is a remarkable coincidence).
* January 5, 2021: One contestant passed up a money safe which turned out to be worth 3,000 dollars in hopes that a small box would be able to help her build a bee sanctuary. Inside the small box was a "beehive hat" Zonk. Even the contestant herself thought it was hilarious after she got over the disappointment.
* One [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TuaBj9nR0w famous]] occurrence on ''Le Bigdil'', the French version of the game, which was broadcast in the early 2000’s every week night at 7 p.m. The phone call to a home contestant happened just before the half-time commercial break (around 7:20). That night, the host, Lagaf’, called a woman, Gisèle, which explained she just had dinner, and was incontestably drunk at the time - slurred voice, almost incomprehensible answers. Hilarity ensues, especially Lagaf’ finally reads the question, doing a clownish impression of a drunkard, trying to avoid laughing out loud at the sheer irony of the moment:
-->'''Lagaf:''' I have to say, that’s a perfect question… Sometimes things happen in life… right on the spot… Don’t worry, Gisèle, I got it… Have some paper and a pen, and please take note: what is the particularity… of a rubicund face?
** The fact is that the contestant didn’t get precisely what the host asked (at first, she heard the word Picon, which is a brand of bitter, usually mixed with beer in Northern France, enhancing A LOT the total alcoholic volume of the beverage, and the crimson colored face of drunkards – so, rubicund - is commonly called ''Red Picon Beer''). After the break, she gave Lagaf’ two wrong answers : a river (Rubicon, famously crossed by Julius Caesar) then a horse coatcolor (Rubican – which means black with a few white hairs here and there).
-->'''Lagaf:''' Soon, in a few seconds, there will be a pink elephant too…
* One iteration of the marble-picking game briefly ended up in a three-way elimination for the first time in Wayne Brady's ''entire run''. Needless to say, he messed around with this rare occurrence.
-->'''Wayne:''' Triple-elimination, [[InsaneTrollLogic so therefore I win]]!
-->'''Jonathan:''' [[SarcasmFailure What...?]]
* June 9, 2022: A contestant almost deliberately seems to be pulling TemptingFate in a game of "Beat the Dealer" passing up a Harley on the basis his wife would say to take the Harley believing he can win the Mercedes SUV. He picks the middle chip for Wayne saying it won't matter what he picks saying that's the 1. '''He's correct and wins the SUV.''' Wayne points this out when offering the big deal saying he got lucky so his wife can't be mad at him. This time the contestant pulls a KnowWhenToFoldEm and keeps the SUV.
* September 28, 2023: Premiere week gets off to a good start when one contestant decides to take curtain 3. And for the first time in the show’s history, it doesn’t open. We wait a few awkward seconds before Tiffany and production manager Chris open it the old fashioned way.

* December 12, 2023: While making a deal with one trader Wayne and Jonathan offer him a Cat Sack, which is a bean bag chair superimposed with images of Cat Gray's face. When revealing the money that comes with it they briefly make up a song.

* January 23, 2024: Trader Morgan is dressed as donut fairy, not too unusual for this show. What makes her unusual is the fact that she’s accompanied by a blue haired, one armed mannequin named Maggie. Apparently, Morgan used Maggie to at one point advertise products on Poshmart, although nobody bought anything she kept her.
** When they play the “Mind Reading Jonathan” deal Jonathan describes Maggie's thoughts as “Oh no quicksand!”

Later in the deal, after a trader wins a trip to South Carolina, Wayne informs him that he just became news director in South Carolina by applying online as well.
** After trader Ken passes on a kitchen filled with new appliances, a tangent erupts, where Wayne admits he’s been confusing fudge and brownies all his life.
