[[folder:In General]]
* Many of the playful antics that occur between Gon and Killua. Also, with Gon's IncorruptiblePurePureness and the fact that Killua is quite literally a [[TykeBomb child assassin]], their opinion over matters clash often enough. This leads to Killua being at a loss at how to respond to Gon's naivete. Cue a few [[DeadpanSnarker deadpan snarks]] and {{sweat drop}}s.
* Any time someone hears that Leorio [[YoungerThanTheyLook is only a teenager]].
** This is even brought up during the Third Phase of the Hunter Exam. During Leorio's square off with one of the Prisoners in a tower, he sets up a gambling competition. Gon suggests that Leorio have the prisoner bet how old he is for a cheap and easy win. Which could have possibly worked, since even ''she'' was stumped.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Hunter Exam Arc]]
* Kurapika and Leorio arguing over how Gon should go about his duties, should he become a Hunter. Kurapika believes that Hunters should be responsible, loyal defenders of all that is good. Leorio is all about the fame and fortune. Things get so heated, they end up shouting at each other. Then failing to convince the other, they turn screaming to the uneasy Gon, demanding his opinion.
* During the first phase inside the tunnel, when Kurapika and Leorio are running together side by side, with the idea that they look lame and stupid (Leorio takes his upper clothing off while Kurapika takes off his tabard), Killua and Gon passed by. Then there's this:
--> '''Gon:''' See you ahead, Kurapika\
'''Killua:''' I'm going ahead, old man. (''referring to Leorio'')\
'''Leorio:''' I'm not an old man! Like you guys, I'm still in my teens!
** Cue thunderstruck and surprised look by Gon, Killua and Kurapika.
* In the second phase, [[ChefOfIron Menchi]] sends out the applicants to search for the ingredients they need to prepare the dishes. At some point, Hisoka is shown... calmly emerging from a lake, [[TheComicallySerious carrying a fish in his mouth as if he was a cat.]]
** Menchi's test consists in making all the contestants replicate ''sushi'' by only vague descriptions from her. The task generates these moments:
*** After the first clue is revealed to be fresh fish, Leorio and Gon make the mistake of making ''a live fish wrapped in a rice ball''.
*** Kurapika starts to overthink all of Menchi's clues (her descriptions, the rice cookers, something bite size since she had a pair of chopsticks). ''He ends up doing the exact same thing as Gon and Leorio''.
*** Killua prepares a gourmet plate of fish fillet with sauce and sides, which Menchi rejects despite the preparation level.
*** The real punchline is that Hisoka sees this, quietly retires from the queue and sits by the river, with ''the exact same dish'' casted aside.
*** An overconfident Hanzo is sure that he will ace the test since he is the only person who knows what sushi is, but since Menchi rejected him by nitpicking it, he ends up revealing the whole process in a tantrum, to which all the other contestants use to make sushi, to Menchi's frustration, since [[PickyEater she now has to evaluate them by taste]].
* The overall MoodWhiplash in the fight between Gon and Hanzo. Gon is initially subjected to over three hours of ColdBloodedTorture by Hanzo because Gon refuses to forfeit. Hanzo, losing patience, threatens to chop off Gon's arm, but then Gon counters that [[HeadsIWinTailsYouLose if he bleeds out, Hanzo will be disqualified anyway, so they're technically at an impasse.]] Not only is Gon correct, but the examiners and the other applicants, even ''Hisoka'', start cracking up over Gon backing Hanzo into a corner despite spending the entire match getting beaten up.
** And Gon isn't even trying to be clever; he, as far as he sees it, is pointing out the facts and suggests they find another way to hash it out.

* In the 1999 anime during the airship ride to the second phase of the exam Leorio and Kurapika try to talk to the Hunter examiners to ask them to be lenient with Anita. When they try to enter the room they accidentally see Menchi coming out the shower, Leorio panics trying to explain while Kurapika tries throwing Leorio under the bus only for Menchi chasing them down the hallway.
** Afterwards Leorio ends up being the one who gets attacked while Kurapika remains unscathed, leading to an angry Leorio asking why Kurapika didn’t get beaten with his answer being that maybe because he’s cute without any hint of sarcasm.
** During the exam afterparty a drunk Menchi chases Leorio with a pair of knives clearly remembering their past encounter as he runs in fear.
* The hotel filler arc is also worthy of laughs when all the applicants end up switching their rooms with everyone else.
** Leorio switches with Hanzo leading to Leorio bunking with Kurapika while Hanzo ends up in a room that’s scorching hot.
** [[HumiliationConga Tonpa]] ends up being roommates with Gittarackur and is creeped out so he switches with Sommy and his monkey only to end up with Bourbon and all his snakes. He then tries to switch with Ponzu only to end up with [[FromBadToWorse Hisoka]] as a roommate and he understandably faints. It’s both hilarious and cathartic to see Tonpa go though this.
*** we later we see that he is sleeping in the corner in fear.
** During the Fourth Phase of the exam Tonpa accidentally wakes up Ponzu who thinks Tonpa was a pervert that stole her badge and proceeds to beats him up for it.

** When everyone is worried about the final phase of the exam they ask Bodoro if he has any idea only for his response being that he failed the first phase.
*** When he theorizes what the final phase could be going over the previous ones he came to the conclusion that the final phase will be a written exam leading to everyone’s [[OhCrap reaction]] with only Hisoka remaining unfazed. Doubly hilarious when Bodoro was just thinking out loud and realizes everyone took him seriously, with even Hisoka calling him out.
** When Hisoka leaves the interview room everyone else believing that he just took the final phase forces poor Pokkle to ask him what is was only for Hisoka not tell them just to mess with them.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Heaven's Arena Arc]]
* Killua explains to Gon the difference in strengths between Hisoka, Hanzo and himself by drawing lines on the ground that are about a foot in length, then he shows Gon's position by drawing a line of over several yards.
** Killua muses to himself that he was being ''generous'' about that judgement!
* When Wing demonstrates the power of Nen to Zushi by tearing a page out of a book and using it to slice a can in half from across the room:
--> '''Zushi:''' Master...I didn't... have a chance to read that book yet.\
'''Wing:''' Huh?\
'''Zushi:''' (''crying'') And that can of juice was mine...\
'''Wing:''' (''stuttering'') S-sorry.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Yorknew Arc]]
* Blaise showing off her nen abilities. She kisses the guy next to her, ''{{mind control}}s through said kiss'', and then flat-out enacts a S&M scene in front of the others via [[GroinAttack pressing her heeled foot to his crotch]] while he begs for more.
* Killua and Leorio's reactions the moment they realize that Gon '''PAWNED''' his '''''irreplaceable''''' Hunter's License.
* When Kurapika calls to blackmail the Spiders He tells them three demands that he wants the Spiders to follow without protest, one of which is that they must not hurt their captive, Gon and Killua. Phinks replies that the two put up so much of a struggle--what if a few of their bones were already broken?
--> '''Kurapika''': Then we're done negotiating. ''[hangs up]''\
'''Phinks''': ''[calls back]'' Sorry. I lied.
** Machi and Nobunaga promptly [[DopeSlap punch him in the head]] while Pakunoda takes the call.
* [[MonsterClown Hisoka]]'s flat reaction upon learning that he can't fight the Phantom Troupe leader Chrollo because Kurapika sealed his nen. The fact that he was actively staying with the troupe in order to find an opportunity to fight him makes this scene [[ShaggyDogStory all the more hilarious]].
--> [[ScrewThisImOutOfHere We're leaving.]]
** [[http://killuasuperfriendship.tumblr.com/post/141241181821/this-might-be-the-best-reaction-of-all-time The 2011 series' rendition of this scene is simply... priceless.]]
* Gon and Killua enter the auction to get a copy of Greed Island only to bump into ''Phinks and Feitan''. There's a long pause while [[OhCrap it sinks in]], then they [[ScrewThisImOutOfHere tear out of there in less time then it takes to blink.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Greed Island Arc]]
* Kurapika tells Gon how his training of how to conjure chains was like. Among the things he did, Kurapika licked and smelled chains.
* Gon and Killua initially refuse to accept Biscuit as their mentor because (among other things) they already have a Nen mentor in Wing.
-->'''Biscuit:''' "That goofy kid with the messy hair and who [[CharacterTic can't keep his shirt tucked in]]?"
* Gon, Killua, and Biscuit need to fool a watcher into thinking they're splitting up. Biscuit's solution? Randomly slapping Killua across the face in the middle of a conversation. After a {{beat}} of StunnedSilence as [[OhCrap Gon looks on in shock]], Killua runs with it.
* Biscuit's internal gushing over how much potential Gon and Killua have as Nen users. She compares them to raw and uncut gems that just need [[TrainingFromHell the right amount of heat and pressure]] to become dazzling.
* Biscuit's TrainingFromHell for Gon and Killua.
* The 288th Hunter Exam. Killua decides to take a break from playing Greed Island with Gon to go and finally pass the Hunter's Exam. Killua decides he wants to be the [[{{Troll}} only applicant to pass]] so during the first stage of the exam he knocks out [[CurbStompBattle every other applicant]]. Netero [[ActuallyPrettyFunny finds this funny]] and decides to pass Killua on the spot.
** In the 2011 version, Zepile is amongst the applicants. When Killua encounters him, he pauses, cheerfully notes his presence before knocking the poor man out without mercy.
* Gon, Killua, and Biscuit discover a strange name on the roster: Chrollo Lucifer, the head of the Phantom Troupe. They quickly put together that this, of ''all'' things in the game, is especially suspicious because his Nen was sealed by Kurapika, and he couldn't have ''possibly'' gotten it all back this quickly. So, they decide to warp to his location, only to discover a [[FullFrontalAssault fully naked]] [[MrFanservice Hisoka ]] greeting them. Cue OhCrap faces.
** In both the anime and the manga, he develops his signature crotch glow as he speaks to Gon and Killua. However, the difference between the two mediums lies in how the scene is portrayed. In the manga, they just outright showed the glow. The 2011 anime however figured it too racy and instead showed the trio's ''reactions'' to it. The boys are understandably uncomfortable, but when the camera cuts to [[DirtyOldWoman Biscuit]], she's EatingTheEyeCandy and [[PervertedDrooling drooling her brains out.]]
*** In the 2011 anime it's actually ''more'' racy by implication, as when the scene cuts to Gon and Killua staring wide-eyed at Hisoka's crotch, their eyes can be seen [[LampshadedDoubleEntendre slightly rising]] along with [[SomethingElseAlsoRises something else]]...
* When the group is walking with Hisoka, [[MaleGaze his gaze focuses on Gon and Killua's butts.]] The boys, feeling his pleasure, [[AbhorrentAdmirer utterly panic]] and force him to walk in front.
* The group travels to a place called [=AiAi=], the City of Love, where players can live out romance plots that use every cliche in the book, including the "glasses falling off" MeetCute, and the {{Tsundere}} MeetCute. Hisoka even explains the tropes associated with these scenarios and how you should play them out if you want the "relationship" to progress (handing the girl her glasses, being rude to the Tsundere at first so she can eventually [[DefrostingIceQueen warm up to you]] after the required rocky start). The kicker is when Gon tries to help a girl being accosted by a stock anime gang, only for Killua and Biscuit to smack him for falling for the biggest cliche of them all. [[HypocriticalHumor Even though]] Biscuit herself was [[DirtyOldWoman all too eager]] to indulge in a romantic {{Shojo}} plot line.
* The way Gon and Killua treat Tsuzegura after he shows them his Ren.
* Biscuit's transformation, while SugarWiki/{{Awesome|Moments}}, is hilarious for her abruptly undersized clothing and her own blunt opinion of its appearance.
-->'''Biscuit:''' Too macho!
* The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b34tH7VcoaU 'Greed Island Tutorial']] skits involving SuperDeformed versions of Gon and Killua explaining various cards.
** One case has them Clone a card that was basically a gold-dust girl [[FuroScene nude in a bathtub.]] Gon innocently uses Gain on it - which makes it "real," as Killua instantly gets [[DistractedByTheSexy hearts in his eyes]] and sends Gon flying by sheer proximity to the sudden movement. A later one actually has Gon transform another card at Killua's silent command and do this again; cue Killua flying off with a {{Nosebleed}} that ''rockets him off the screen.''
** Other cases involve things such as ol' Biscuit punching Killua out for calling her a hag, Gon contacting aliens, Gon getting a LuminescentBlush at the sight of a giant Killua when talking about a card's range, and Gon's response when Killua describes the card that hides the cards within one's binder:
-->'''Gon:''' [[HoYay You can look inside my binder any time you want, Killua.]]
-->'''Killua:''' [[FlatWhat What?]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Chimera Ant Arc]]
* When Knuckles challenged Gon to punch him once, Gon took up the offer and Knuckle's [[OhCrap reaction]] is hilarious to watch.
* Knuckle tries to explain how his Nen power, Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, works when he fights Gon seriously. Gon's so lost on the mathematics and mechanics of it all that his brains metaphorically fry out from the stress.
--> '''Gon:''' [[BookDumb This is the power of my opponent, and he hasn't even done anything yet!]]
* Killua's reaction when finds out Gon is a KidAnova who has dated older women.
* When Killua sees Ikalgo for the first time, he notes that part of his name, "Ika", means "squid", but Ikalgo himself more physically resembles an octopus. Ikalgo's response is to shriek "DON'T CALL ME AN OCTOPUS!" To make it funnier, the episode of the anime to feature this moment ends on that note. Even funnier ''still?'' It's the 100th episode, and that's how it ends.
* When Killua is running with Komugi on his back. Komugi doesn't really know what's going on. All she knows is that some people showed up in the castle, injured her and then said she was their hostage. Killua was trying to protect her, but she understandably thought that he was kidnapping her and Pouf (someone whose voice she recognized) was trying to save her. She reacts by [[http://31.media.tumblr.com/36621de96220b0c3e741b35f239f4936/tumblr_n5j2tpEjRU1s50lneo1_500.gif pulling Killua's hair]] and telling him he's weird because he feels all "tingly." When Killua asks her "you trust an insect like him over me?!" she responds "what do you mean an insect?!" because she has no idea what the people she's been staying with all this time looked like. Killua deems that it would take too much time to explain it to her and knocks her out.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Election Arc]]
* Crosses over with SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments: when Morel overhears the Chimera Ant child that Colt's been taking care of proclaim her name's not Reina, but [[{{Reincarnation}} Kite]], he almost trips over himself scrambling down the hospital hallway to tell Gon and Killua the news.
* After [[TheBusCameBack nearly hundreds of chapters absent]], Leorio's grand re-entrance into the series is capped off by him yelling over the phone that [[RunningGag they got his name wrong again]].
* The clip of Leorio punching Ging and shouting "Die, asshole!" is so popular it propels Leorio to the #3 spot in the election. Killua watches it several times while riding in his family's limo.
* In a case of BlackComedy, Hisoka asks Illumi if he can kill[[note]]Or rape depending on the translation[[/note]] Killua. Illumi immediately goes into a cold rage, saying he will kill Hisoka right then and there. [[MoodWhiplash Then he realizes Killua's detected him.]]
-->'''Illumi:''' You did that on purpose, didn't you?\
'''Hisoka:''' [[BlatantLies No way]].
* After three rounds of voting, Mr. Bean runs through a list of the official top sixteen candidates, which has many gems.
** One of them is a hacker-hunter who refuses to vote.
** One of them has the campaign motto of "Please do not vote for me."
** Biscuit is ''almost'' referred to as the Hunter Association's "[[TeamMom mother figure]]" but Mr. Bean quickly corrects himself to "[[CoolBigSis big sister figure]]". Supposedly, many hunters want her to scold them.
** ''Ging'' is #16, which Mr. Bean attributes to pity votes. It could also be a CallBack to Pariston Hill's suggestion for resolving absentee votes; if you don't want to vote then vote for Ging because it's the same thing. Several people might have taken him up on that.
* After the seventh round of voting, the top four give a campaign speech. It is a tense scene but it is also comical.
** Mizaistom's consists of how Cheadle is the best candidate and all his supporters should vote for her. He does this as a sacrifice so she can win instead of [[XMustNotWin Pariston]].
** Cheadle immediately throws a wrench into that plan by saying nothing but "vote for Leorio". This is her attempt to [[SpannerInTheWorks mess up Pariston's plan]] to drag out the election by having her and him switch places until he gets bored.
** Leorio has absolutely no idea what to say so he goes on a stream-of-consciousness rant about how he'll abuse his authority and treat the Hunter Association like his own private property in order to get Gon cured, because he feels guilty about all the drinking and wanking he did during his studies, when Gon was fighting Chimera ants.
** Pariston stands up and says everyone should vote for ''Mizaistom'', because he is far more qualified then any of the other three, ''especially'' himself. Then he turns to Mizaistom and shameless says that [[HypocriticalHumor only what the voters want matters, and he should stop using petty tricks]].
* When Ging and Gon finally meet, the latter immediately launches into an apology for how [[ItMakesSenseInContext Kite got turned into a girl]].
* The way Ging is shouted at by ''the entire Hunter Association'' for being a horrible dad. This is not hyperbole. The election had a high quorum and the hunters weren't allowed to leave until a chairman was selected, so he really is being scolded by the entire association.
-->'''Gon:''' Ging, can we talk more later?\
'''Ging:''' I dunno, I'm a pretty busy man.\
'''Crowd:''' ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME GING?!?! AND YOU CALL YOURSELF A FATHER?!\
'''Crowd:''' GING'S THE WORST, GING'S THE WORST, GING'S THE WORST!\
'''Crowd:''' YOU NEED TO APOLOGIZE TO GON! PROMISE HIM "I'll be a good father from now onwards."''!!!\
'''Crowd:''' NO YOU KNOW WHAT?! YOU NEED TO STOP ACTING LIKE SOME GREAT, ALL-KNOWING DAD!!!\
'''Crowd:''' HAVE LEORIO PUNCH YOU AGAIN!\
'''Ging:''' What?! Guh!! This has nothing to do with you people!!!
** Eventually, Ging decides that the appropriate response is [[SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome fighting every single person in the stands, hundreds of Hunters at once ''and winning'']].
* Cheadle hopes the situation of Gon's revival will become her last chance to defeat Parriston, by exploiting the emotion generated by his entrance to boost support for Leorio. She is immediately defeated by Gon's SimpleMindedWisdom. Leorio can't be the chairman because he's studying to be a doctor. He can't be both a medical student ''and'' the Hunter Association Chairman, so Gon nonchalantly votes for Parriston.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Succession War Arc]]
* [[TheComicallySerious Kurapika sweet-talking]] Biscuit into cooperating with him for the expedition. He was following Killua’s advice which even ''he'' was too embarrassed to do himself. Kurapika, however, just takes a deep breath… and pulls it off like it’s nothing!
--> '''Kurapika''': "I would never have hired such a… '''delicate flower''' of a '''girl''' like you… without Killua’s recommendation!! You’re more suited to '''sitting pretty as a princess''' than being a bodyguard. You should pull out while you still can. Are you ready?"
--> '''Biscuit''': "(blushes) '''Yes!''' I’ll do anything!"
* Belarainte is a licensed Hunter who's Nen-enabled. The first thing we hear him say?
--> '''Belarainte''': "Uh-huh-huh. She said 'intimate."
** Bear in mind that, if you think about it, this guy who thinks like WesternAnimation/BeavisAndButthead overcame tons of other highly talented and more serious people to get his Hunter License and somehow had the focus and dedication, amidst his love of ToiletHumor, to learn Nen.
* Official translations (such as the Viz translation) of chapters 361-367 feature extra skits of panels taken from other chapters, but the dialog and even subsequent panels are changed to create some hilarious out-of-context moments:
** One gag scene involves Kurapika complaining about how hard it is to pronounce words in English, yet if you try too hard to get it right you look pretentious. A panel from a later scene in the chapter the gag is originally from has Kurapika questioning Vincent’s sexist beliefs about it only being women who do the housework, using some long words all the while.
--> '''Kurapika''': "What do you mean, “Do I help with chores”? We both have careers. Or are you assuming housework is automatically the job of the wife?"
** Another extra starts with the phone ringing. Kurapika tells Shimano not to answer it, as [[BreakingTheFourthWall it’s his editor calling]]. She answers it anyway, and his editor is asking what his favorite J-pop group is. Kurapika considers it a foolish question, and Shimano can’t decide.
** One panel in a skit is edited to have Kurapika wearing [[Manga/DemonSlayerKimetsuNoYaiba hanafuda earrings]].
** Another has Kurapika sarcastically commenting that he has just rolled his lucky Angel number. A panel originally from a different scene in the same chapter involving Bill rushing in is used straight after, implying that Kurapika gets assaulted by Bill after rolling his unlucky Angel number.
* One of Prince Marayam's guards, who is skeptical about the existence of Nen, [[AmazonChaser getting turned on by Biscuit in her giant form]] when she transforms to prove just how real it is.
--> "How can someone so...so beautiful exist?!"
* A bit of BlackComedy after Chrollo reveals he can no longer use Neon's fortune telling ability
--> '''Shizuku''': That book of yours boss, it's pretty much like a Manga/DeathNote, isn't it?
--> '''Chrollo''': ...
--> '''Bonolenov''': Shizuku, keep your thoughts to yourself.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:''Nightmare of Zoldyck'' Musical]]
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWS3Ew2ol2I In one scene]], Hisoka is forcing Milluki, Kalluto, Kikyo, and all the Zoldyck butlers (plus Zeno, who thought it looked like fun and asked to join in) to dance with his Bungee Gum, and has reached his ten-person limit when ''Illumi'' comes in and starts dancing with everybody, looking like he's having the time of his life and ignoring a confused Hisoka calling his name and pointing out that he's not making Illumi do anything. He keeps going for about thirty seconds, and it's only when he's finished that he turns to Hisoka and asks, "What are you doing to my family?"
** Despite initially panicking, Milluki finds one benefit to being forced to dance. "I'm getting thinner!"
** During the song "Family," Kalluto goes DeadpanSnarker on his big brother:
--> '''[[FatBastard Milluki]]''': You can't succeed the Zoldyck family if you make friends!
--> '''Kalluto''': Or if you're too fat.
--> '''Milluki''': KALLUTO!
* After the family party, Milluki takes another, similar hit, this time from Zeno:
--> '''Milluki''': Those guys...They say I'm fat, an otaku, they mock me! [[ThisIsUnforgivable Unforgivable!]]
--> '''Zeno''': Look...Everyone can see you're a fat otaku just by looking at you.
--> '''Milluki''': I know that! It pisses me off!
** After Hisoka says that when he defeats strong people, SomethingElseAlsoRises, Zeno flat-out [[DeadpanSnarker calls him a pervert.]]
* After Hisoka fights Zeno and Silva and leaves, there's this exchange:
--> '''Zeno''': Crafty man...
--> '''Silva''': ''[[ViewerGenderConfusion Man?]]''
* Illumi tells Hisoka that he has a Switch that will return Killua to his "original" self, a bloodthirsty killer. Hisoka asks to know just what it is, but Illumi won't say because he knows Hisoka will spill his secret if he does. Hisoka keeps asking Illumi to tell him, and then Illumi gets the most devious little smile on his face and says he will...but only if Hisoka lets him see his face without makeup. Hisoka immediately refuses:
--> '''Hisoka''': No way! Putting on this makeup takes a lot of time! ''(sees that Illumi has gone offstage and chases after him)'' Hey, tell me!
** Even funnier is that Illumi was exactly right: the ''very next thing'' Hisoka does is tell the first good guy he finds (Kurapika) everything he knows about the Switch.
