* After Kariya gets the worm implants, Zouken [[BlackComedy asks him if his left leg is working alright before he stabs it with his cane.]]
** He also tells him not to put his "gift" to waste.
* While the scene itself is not funny at all, consider the fact that the Church had to investigate 726 different Grails prior to the novel events. And apparently every single one of them had miraculous powers.
* Kayneth brags to Sola-Ui about how extensive his hideout's magical defenses are, but she's not quite as impressed as he probably hoped she was. Kiritsugu then blows up the building, rendering all the defensive measures worthless.
* When Risei offers a Command Seal to whoever defeats Caster and his master, he concludes his explanation by offering to answer questions, but only from those "who can speak in human languages," cracking a smile as he makes the offer. Cue a shot of familiars attending the meeting.
* Rider's visit to the Einzbern castle is an exercise in [[SerialEscalation hilarity escalation]].
** The whole thing basically gets started because he suddenly decides "Man, what I need right now is a good ol' drinking night. [[IKnowWhatWeCanDoCut Now where's a good place for that?]]"
** Next time we see him, he's at the Einzbern castle and calls for Saber... and he's carrying a wine casket. "It's good that you understand [...] [[MundaneMadeAwesome let's battle with wine]]!"
** Gilgamesh suddenly turns up just as they're getting underway. Why's he there? Because Rider invited him along for a drink! He tastes the offered wine, insults it, and... [[MundaneUtility pulls what's effectively an Unlimited Wine Works with the Gate of Babylon]] so that they've got booze more worthy of kings. Yes, Gilgamesh pulled out ''his own private wine reserve'' just so he can be sure that they're all drinking something worthy of their statuses.
*** He also says it's evidence enough the Grail should belong to him, but Rider points out that the Grail is not a drinking cup, so that doesn't count.
** Rider also calls Gilgamesh by Rin's long-standing nickname, "Goldy" (Kinpika), several times, and Gil doesn't react at all. Whether this is because he [[WorthyOpponent respects Rider]], doesn't care, or doesn't see anything offensive about being effectively called "Golden Sparkle" is up for debate.
** After a long philosophical chat, the Assassins turn up. Unlike everyone else there, they obviously mean business. Rider [[RefugeInAudacity offers them some wine, too]].
** During all of this there's also a part in which Gil claims that the Grail belongs to him because all the treasures of the world belong to him. Saber responds to this by saying that Caster isn't the only insane one participating in this war. The expression on Gil's face in reaction to this is priceless.
** Very much BlackComedy, but Gilgamesh's relentless {{Troll}}ing of Saber is terrible and hilarious, escalating to the point where ''she actually draws her sword on him'' when he compares the face she has when Rider delivers a TheReasonYouSuckSpeech to that of a [[http://i.imgur.com/DImlNLK.png?1 newly deflowered virgin]], [[MemeticMolester which is]] [[http://i.imgur.com/2WY13Qk.jpg?1 just what he likes.]] [[http://i.imgur.com/VfPgpHW.jpg?1 His facial expressions are what seals the deal.]]
** Keep in mind, during all of the above, Waver is present and voicing his protests as only a weedy mage around three superhuman legendary historical figures can. Which is to say, partly scared out of mind, partly beside himself with awe, and ''completely'' unable to comprehend or curtail his Servant's absurd behavior.
** When he gets asked what he wants to do with the Grail, Rider goes completely quiet for a few long seconds and ''blushes''. Then he stammers a little when he admits that he wants to [[BecomeARealBoy become human again]]. It's strange to see him of all people acting shy.
** Rider suggests that because of Saber's idealism she must have been like the holiest of saints in life. Ironically, a major plot point in ''Zero'' is Caster mistaking Saber for Jeanne d'Arc, whom she physically resembles and who actually ''is'' a holy saint.
* During a very serious conversation with Lancer, Saber and Waver, Iri's cellphone rings, courtesy of Kiritsugu. Seeing her fumble with it for a good 5 seconds trying to make it work is hilarious, before she passes it on to Waver.
--> '''Iri''': How does this work?
** In the manga, the cell phone appears basically out of nowhere, and Irisviel isn’t shown wearing clothes with pockets. The phone’s position is [[VictoriasSecretCompartment suspiciously close to her chest]].
--> '''Waver''': Where was she hiding that?
* Rider's RunningGag of flicking Waver in the head hard enough to knock him down. Constantly. Half the time for no good reason other than "you're acting kinda stupid." Or "you're acting logical." Or "I feel like flicking you in the head."
** Rider and Waver's interactions in general are usually hilarious. In the course of one episode, Rider drags a visibly terrified Waver to the top of a tall suspension bridge (with poor Waver crying to get down) and when he finally does get down, Rider charges straight into the middle of a battle [[LargeHam loudly announcing his true name and intentions]] with Waver staring, flabbergasted, from the back of the chariot. Following that, as the tension escalates with Lancer and Berserker vs Saber, Rider swiftly dispels that by...running Berserker over. Literally. With his chariot. With Waver giving a pathetic "how did I get into this mess" look as he's dragged along.
*** And to one up himself even more, the next episode has Rider essentially trading the head of one of his opponents, a Heroic Spirit called from beyond the reaches of time to battle in the Holy Grail war, for a pair of pants. A pair of mega-sized pants. Why? Since he doesn't want to lose to Saber, who's allowed to wander around as long as she's wearing modern day clothes. Rider in general is hilarious.
*** In the manga, Rider even cockslaps Waver in the face when they're arguing about pants, right on-panel, with only a slight CensorShadow so you don't get too much of an eyeful of the King of Conquerors' junk. It's actually kind of alarming, but that only makes it even more funny.
*** What ''really'' sells his charge into the middle of the battle is that after announcing his name, he looks at both Saber and Lancer, just to make sure that they're watching him, and visibly straightens up just that little bit much more and gets a pure "LOOK AT ME" expression on his face.
*** And at the end of the battle, Rider checks whether Waver wants to say anything to Saber, so he picks him up off the bottom of the chariot (by the back of his shirt, like a cat carrying a kitten by the scruff), revealing that he's basically passed out from fear with a hilarious look on his face.
** A day later, Rider gets a package delivered to the house. The poor delivery driver looks ready to void himself at the sight of the BoisterousBruiser.
*** While also awesome and heartwarming, there's Waver imitating Rider's BattleCry during his battle against Gilgamesh.
** In the third episode, Rider decides that UsefulNotes/BillClinton would be a formidable opponent.
*** Earlier in the same scene Rider very much likes the idea of a B-2 stealth bomber and states his intent to buy several of them.
* Rider's one-sided conversation with Waver in episode 13. He's so [[{{Cloudcuckoolander}} distracted by everything around him]] that Waver has to pick out key phrases to catch his attention.
--> '''Waver''': I'm gonna be in this bookstore for a while.
--> '''Rider''': *''looking around''* Hmm.
--> '''Waver''': You can go wherever you want but just don't leave the arcade.
--> '''Rider''': *''still distracted''* Hmm.
--> '''Waver''': If I get attacked, it's all over for you too, got it?
--> '''Rider''': *''STILL distracted''* Hmm. Hmm.
--> '''Waver''': No conquering. No plundering.
--> '''Rider''': HUH?
* Though also a SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome, Gilgamesh overcoming [[SealedEvilInACan All The Evils Of The World]] with nothing more than his massive, ''massive'' ego. Not only did he LogicBomb Angra Mainyu, he exploded out of the corruption and acquired a (naked) physical body without missing a syllable of his [[LargeHam typically-grandiose proclamations]].
** A dazed Kirei, waking up to see a naked Gilgamesh grinning down at him, immediately asks if Gilgamesh has done something to him. Specifically, if Gilgamesh has healed him, but given their prior HoYay, you may wind up chuckling in the midst of a serious, tragic scene.
-->'''Gilgamesh''': [[HoYay Behold, your heart's desire!]]
* When Kirei has cornered Maiya, he asks that she not let him do all the talking. [[MrExposition Kirei]], asking someone else to talk. Oh, the irony.
* Iri's [[DrivesLikeCrazy driving skills]]. Sixth episode begins with a car going 65-90 miles an hour through winding terrain at midnight without ever stopping for petty concerns like traffic lights or being on the correct side of the road. Apparently it's Irisviel's first time driving on the road, and a car is Kiritsugu's idea of an appropriate 'toy' for his wife.
--> '''Saber''': Th-this is some skillful driving.
--> '''Iri''': Right? You won't believe it but I've been practicing extra hard!
** She manages to make '''Saber''' sweat. That's how terrifying her driving is. And if that doesn't drive it home when Iri hits a speed bump fast enough to send both her and Saber bouncing out of their seat it makes Saber give voice to an uncharacteristically ''girlish yelp''.
* The relationship between [[MadArtist Ryuunosuke]] [[EvilDuo and]] [[AxCrazy Caster]] CrossesTheLineTwice ''so many times''.
** Speaking of Caster, let's step back for a moment and take a look at his obsession with Saber. A ''French'' veteran of the Hundred Years War, mistaking the ''most [[Myth/KingArthur famous English folk hero]]'' ever, ''for UsefulNotes/JoanOfArc''. The sheer Irony of that is so funny it hurts.
* True Assassin being killed like an insect by Iris' giant spider construct in the Blu-Ray special episodes.
* [[LargeHam Gilgamesh]] going off on Berserker on how "YOU DARE TO TURN YOUR BACK UPON ME!", to which Berserker responds to by blowing him out of the sky with laser flares from the rear of the [[RuleOfCool F-15 he jumped on and hijacked by touching it and turned into a Noble Phantasm]]. It's the way Gilgamesh says [[FlatWhat "What?"]] and his face that sells it.
* Gilgamesh's massive ego strikes again in Episode 24. Just look at how he proposes to Saber! ''Stabbing her in the leg with a sword'', then telling her to give up her ideals and become his wife. When she understandably and vehemently refuses, he says that he was not asking for her opinion.
** Horrifying as the scene's implications are, Gilgamesh getting angry at Kiritsugu for "interrupt[ing] my wedding ceremony" was hilarious.
* Saber Vs. Lancer, epic duel, just about to hit its climax. Enter Rider who barges in on his Noble Phantasm and offers everyone to join him after announcing his name and class. ''Everyone's'' face is in some variation of FlatWhat. This includes Waver, Rider's master.
** Kiritsugu, after seeing Saber and Lancer reject Rider's proposition, offers the following priceless commentary.
-->'''Kiritsugu''': I can't believe it. That moron nearly conquered the known world?
* The Einzbern Consultation Room is a goldmine for comedy.
** Irisviel blames Lancer's good looks, charming personality, code of chivalry, and being voiced by Creator/HikaruMidorikawa as responsible for all the bad things that happened to him and those around him, including Kayneth's receding hairline.
** Caster being a huge fanboy of Jeanne. Having a freak out and then being poked in the eyes by Iri to calm him down. To top it all, Jeanne used to do the same thing to him when they were companions. And if that weren't enough, the force apparently pushes his face back to its original, non-fishman proportions.
** Hassan gets ''really'' carried away talking about how if you summon an Assassin, it's always HASSAN! Always HASSAN!!!
* Lancer and Saber's fight gets a pretty good reaction out of Kiritsugu. You can't help but wonder how Saber would react if she heard Kiritsugu call her "my adorable King of Knights."
* In Episode 5, after Gilgamesh has left, Berserker attacks Saber with a telephone pole only to have it sliced apart by Lancer. While Lancer goes into a speech, Berserker just stares at the pole, as if confirming that, yep, it was sliced.
* In Episode 3, Saber explains her "Riding" ability to Irisviel, who promptly begins sniggering, leaving Saber confused. In other words, [[TheStoic Kiritsugu's]] sweet, innocent wife just did the equivalent of a "that's what she said".
** In the manga adaptation, we're treated to the image of how Saber would hypothetically 'ride' the jet liner...by sitting on top of it, holding reins. [[HilariousInHindsight This is made funnier considering that it's pretty much exactly how Berserker flies the fighter plane]].
* In Episode 21, Saber uses her Noble Phantasm against Rider during a scene change (in the previous scene you can see it from MILES away), destroying the road and... launching Rider (holding Waver under one arm) up a tree. Rider's expression and the resulting conversation is truly priceless.
* The [[AudioPlay Drama CD]] includes some funny stories, including Irisviel playing dressup with Saber and Team Rider meeting Taiga. Taiga is looking for someone who somehow walked off with a whole barrel of wine from her family's bar, [[ThereWasADoor left a giant hole in the wall]], got on a horse carriage, and flew away. Rider [[INeverSaidItWasPoison corrects her that it was a chariot]] and tries to reassure her that her admirable determination will surely find the culprit, when ''he's the damn culprit''. He also ends up translating between Taiga and Waver, and gets told off by Waver for even "translating" Taiga's giggling. And then he tries to [[ShipperOnDeck set them up]] by [[TranslationWithAnAgenda making it sound like Waver is into her]]; Waver does act hilariously {{tsundere}} toward her ({{lampshaded}} by Rider: "'Ah, it's not like I'm... worried about you,' was what this dishonest kid said."), but that's about it.
* Waver gets into a bad mood about how he's sure Rider is strong enough to win, but Waver wouldn't deserve any of the credit since he's such a weak Master, so he wishes he'd summoned Assassin instead. Rider thinks about it, scratching his beard, and says, very directly, "I don't know if that would've worked. I think you'd be dead."
